I am still surprised when I hear wives and young women being criticized by other women as to why they stay with their politician husbands, following the out break of scandal. Sure it may leave our own excuses or defenses a little more weakened as to why we make or made our decisions under similar circumstances, but is that any reason to point fingers, when others decide differently? In 2013 men are 100% responsible for their own behavior.

Yes, we can agree that the young women who are involved in sex or sexting and come forward and acknowledge their own poor behavior, are showing extremely poor judgment in believing they can some how capitalize on the same. To judge young women any farther than this, unless they become so outwardly obvious and acknowledge they are out for the almighty buck or to destroy a career, should not lie in the character of any of us who judge these often naïve and impressionable women; Nor does it further the equality of women to determine what is appropriate behavior when a woman does decide to remain in her marriage.  That choice belongs to the two people who are in the marriage to decide be they men or women.

Women have been manipulated by the powerful and branded as Jezebels since Biblical days in an effort to give men who behave poorly in sexual behavior, an out for their own sick and often narcissistic behavior. As women in America, we if not men, should be able to rise above the continuation of judgments against each other regardless of media exploitation, political leanings, or the circumstances of the same.

I have heard women, who are thought of as being credible accuse Huma Weiner of having political gain for herself and ambitions of her own as being the reason she stands behind her husband Anthony Weiner. Other people are accusing the young woman (I will not give her name credence or blame in my blog) of dressing sexy in order to trap Anthony Weiner. There is much more gossip against the women involved in the Anthony Weiner Sex Scandal but to repeat any more beyond this is to only add to the gossip.  When will women ever be able to dress in the manner they feel the most comfortable with themselves, before we quit judging them for doing so?

Accusing women of the faults that lie in men goes way back to the days of the discovery of the Old Testament of the Bible. When we realize the largest area of the Country in the region where the Old Testament of the Bible was written, was made up of  many Pagans before Christianity, then we need to understand also the culture present in the belief of its people at the time the old Testament was written.

We can understand why people who were raised generations in advance of Science held women responsible for the behavior of men because it was written In Proverbs, Chapter 23, Verse 26:My Son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe My ways, For a whore is a deep ditch and a strange woman is a strange pit. She also lieth in wait as for Prey and increases the transgressors in men.”

The belief was also promoted and still exists today that it was Eve who enticed Adam to eat of the apple instead of it being a mutual decision as we now know transcriptions clearly shows it to have been mutual and these artifacts have been preserved in the archives of the Church. As more Historical facts becomes available along with the knowledge of mankind changes we do need to consider both into our own moral framework as a civilized Society.

The Early Church so believed that married men who had sex with prostitutes were not responsible for the sin of adultery, because they were enticed by women and had no control over their own sex drive. They saw no separation between the animal world and human kind and judged the need of man to procreate or have sex for mankind’s survival as being on the same level between man and animal.

Sex with sheep amongst herders was not only practiced but acceptable behavior in its day. When Science discovered it was leading to madness and death in men due to an outbreak of syphilis then the acceptance of the same changed.

These beliefs were held well into the 17th Century but as the need for man to learn became more prominent it took the knowledge of Science to grow in order to gain knowledge about mankind and what free-will and intellect does as far as understanding the differences in what makes mankind the absorber of knowledge and truth over the animal kingdom.

Even into the Victorian era and yet today some Religions still refuse to give up the idea that even incest that takes place in children is not the fault of child or women entisement. The Conservative following have the numbers of rape due to incest, much lower than what in truth they still remain today. What we now refer to as sexual sociopaths was referred to as sexual deviants in the Victorian era and was just the beginning of the era in which men were being held responsible for their own sexual vulgarities.

Those Religions who throw out all study of Science still cling to the Bible verses of the Old Testament while totally dismissing the knowledge learned of men and sexual peculiarities or sexual predators, that we have gained knowledge of today through the knowledge of Science.

If we still have not learned that women do not create the character flaw in men who think they are too powerful to fail and that Science shows that it is more likely the absence of fathers in the home or early childhood abuse through incest that leads to feelings of rejection that increase the libido in both these women and these men, then what rock have we taken residence under?

Yes, both women and men who have reached adulthood are equally responsible for the choices they make in their lives.  When Anthony Weiner was made aware of his own short comings and illness and still behaved badly, by running again for public office knowing full well he was lying, then how can any of us judge his wife harshly or the women he continued to show his private parts to? If a mother is concerned about what the absence of a father, in the life of her child will make and decides to stay in the marriage, that is her decision to make without being called ambitious or any of us offering her anything beyond understanding.  Todays children need their parents in their lives and if the couple reaches an agreement on how they will deal with their marriage must we always feel their decisions reflects on all women?

If  young adult women are being manipulated or making a poor call of judgment that too should be their decision to make. Why do we so often see or hear those who seemingly have made the biggest mess of their own marriages or those who also behaved poorly when young women or men, too often become the harshest judges against other women or men?  Did we listen or was it our own responsibility to learn for ourselves, what our real values were or where we placed them?  Did we not have that right to do so?

We all should understand the options given all of us to use our own intellect and free-will should be the greatest entitlements that all of us will ever receive, shouldn’t we? What right does the media, un-related people, or pundits have of making any calls in the personal lives of people who use their own hearts and minds to call the shots in their own marriages or personal lives, have in the first place? If you don’t like the man, Anthony Weiner, then do not contribute or vote for him and if you are doing so for fear of what others may think then isn’t that more your problem than theirs?

The Karma we put out is also the Karma we get back, or if you prefer, “what goes around comes around”, and I suspect that was also the Plan of our Maker, when He gave both genders free-will and intellect from the beginning of mankind.  Who amongst us, has not already learned the same or will not learn it before we breathe our last breath? As the saying goes,” An unkempt garden, produces poor fruit”.   Does our own back yard need our attention or weeding?

As women we have enough Conservative movements underway who will deny us the equality already granted us before we have been successful in getting full equality, without attacking or sitting in judgment of each other.  As long as we, women, let the divisiveness amongst us continue to do so, we can all understand it will only cause further harm to those who most need our help. If it does not happen now, then it will tomorrow, or the next time we, ourselves or loved ones, need understanding the most.   I have learned to be a realist and understand what true unity requires of all of us.  Make it count!

Last night when I was Listening to Jake Tapper on CNN he referred to the Tea Party Libertarians as being the left.  That is such a misnomer as to be almost amusing.  Libertarians just as the John Birch Society believe our Constitution of the United States was meant to be guided by the Ten commandments and led by a kind dictatorship over government and Democracy. Any laws established by the government when it is not based according to their interpretation of the ten Commandments, is against the Constitution according to the Libertarians and the far right of the Republican Party.  As such the passage of these laws by government then becomes  an infringement on the Constitutional rights of the American people, according to their teachings.

In this concept, they, the Libertarians, are the voice of morality  for America and demand a strict following of their guidelines. I encourage you to read my previous post entitled,” The American Libertarian,” to understand they believe in the elimination of almost all government Agencies and any one telling them what to do with their lives or with their property. I repeat: They maintain that law made by government and outside of  their Religious beliefs is against the Constitution. This includes the IRS and the collection of any taxes for any reason by the government.

“The Stand Your Ground Laws,” have been passed by lobbyist and money from the Tea Party by  Republican State Governors and Legislatures as they believe that government had and has no right to establish law but common men were/are meant to establish the law of the land according to the Ten Commandments and their interpretation of the same.  They totally ignore the truth which is: it was our forefathers who escaped oppression by Religious beliefs in Europe and were very much aware of the effects that it had on an unjust system in Europe, who set up both the Federal and State governments as well as the Constitution of our Nation to take precedence over Religion with the right of government to establish law as the intent of our forefathers.

Much in the same way the far right fights to throw out evolution and replace it with Creationism in the teachings of the books of our children, there have been an attempt made by the Libertarians to re-write history. Just as they are responsible for denying funding to Head Start, they are strongly against public and State College education and funding of either, because they know the Public schools and State Universities  teach legitimate history over their beliefs of Religion being in control of the rights of the people. Instead  of public and further education, although they are educated themselves , they encourage home schooling by their followers and vouchers for the military to attend Private Schools on the GI Bill.

According to the  far right, Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address over previous History to this, clearly shows that the United States was intended to be a New Nation created (mind you not evolved) on Liberty and dedicated to the Proposition that all men are created equal, and it is the intent of our founding fathers, to put Religion before government. Of course, all men created equal in their interpretation applies only to the white heterosexual male race, since the Bible has verses degrading the liberal acceptance of other races, homosexuality, and the strength of diversity in our Nation. The Libertarians make a few exceptions from Conservatives but are most definitely tied much closer to the beliefs of the right than they are the left.

We as a Nation also accept this truth as being self-evident that all men are created equal but in government that  includes ALL men, women,  nationalities, skin colors and creeds. It is the way the Libertarians and far right interpret the many meanings of government and Democracy that changes the scope of the beliefs intended by Abraham Lincoln. They often confuse the Gettysburg Address for the Constitution since the Republican Party did not come into being until our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and that is where they mark the beginning of the Republic.

The Libertarians apply the ten commandments to law and there in lies their belief it was our forefathers who established Liberty for all men and in doing so gives the superiority or the right to govern through a kind dictatorship ran by the white race and freedom from government establishing laws on persons or property.  Since Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican they maintain He  is the Father of America, while they discount the fact that the Constitution and government was established a 100 years before this.  Anyone who can throw out evolution can throw out historical fact as well.

Unlike the Liberal and moderate beliefs of the practice that the poor and middle class pay into government so in times of need the government will lend a hand to those of us in need the Libertarians believe any and all efforts by government to give aid to the people is an infringements on the duty of the Churches and a form of Socialism. They along with the right-wing branch of the Republican Party are in the belief of, “every man for themselves’, and feel when Government pays back to the people through Social Security, Obama care, Medicare, taxes, pretty much everything government does, the government is infringing on the rights of the free market and the responsibility of the Churches.

To uphold a Democracy of the people, for the people, and by the people where all people and beliefs are equal, regardless of race. Creed, or gender, does not make our Nation or Liberals, Godless, as has been suggested too many times by the right.  We must remain ever observant instead of the rights and the role that government does and must play  in our lives if we are to remain a Just Nation under God with Freedom and Mercy for all.  The very definition of a Democracy is the acceptance of Diversity and the right of all people to worship freely as they so choose. Just as we pride ourselves in Freedom of speech we need to be tolerant of all beliefs, in order to remain a Great Nation.  As our forefathers knew and understood, too much bloodshed had resulted over wars began as a result of differences in and acceptance or rejection in  Religious beliefs.  For that Reason Government was given the right to watch over our Nation’s people.

For those who are going to report the News, since the Tea Party Libertarians feel that any form of birth control and divorce is against the moral fiber of the Ten Commandments, along with other legal practices that have been approved by Government, I recommend you do a little research yourself before misspeaking. It just doesn’t get more right of right than are the Libertarians.  The Libertarians just like the Conservatives  feel government has no right  to grant or make laws that establish rights viewed against Religious views, even when to not do so infringes on the rights of the people. Nor was our Nation ever intended according to their beliefs to act according to established law but instead of Christian  law and be guided by a kind dictatorship over government and Democracy.

As a liberal myself, I do not want to claim anything the Libertarians  believe as being remotely close to being left, since facts are they are not. Calling themselves the original liberals is far from anything the Liberals ever did believe in and an insult to the left.  Lets face it, if they were liberal they would be imbedded in the Democrat Party instead of the Republican Party.  If the media is struggling in what to call the Libertarians  and do not want to refer to them as the right then either Isolationists or Obstructionist right of the Party is appropriate.  The Libertarians over step continually the intent of our forefathers and instead of being a governing body they are both isolationists in the belief that a strong military was intended for our purpose of defense only and not to fight against tyranny around the World and obstructionists in the Senate and Congress or any governing body.

The liberal wing or left of government along with the moderates have always believed in the acceptance of everyone regardless of race, gender, or beliefs and have passed laws to righten those laws  that existed and continue to exist against the people due to the oppression or lack of equality on our citizens by Religion.  Liberals or the left have maintained a Democracy of diversity under the intent of our founding fathers, since the establishment of our constitution and the initiation of both Federal and States Government. To compare Libertarians or the Tea Party with the left is just more of the errors that get reported by a media who does not investigate what they report, any longer. For more details on the Tea Party I again refer you to my previous post entitled, “An American Libertarian.”

It’s that time again folks.  Just when we can’t  take another campaign of lies it  starts heating up again.  The reason all politicians need to take so many breaks to go home to their constituency is to take home the pork that drives up the deficit with them and to convince the people of their States that they need their vote. It no longer is about what they stand for but how many lies they can tell about the opposition.  The people we elect don’t work in Washington for us but instead work in their own home States to win the next election.

The reason more moderate Conservative Republicans do not stop the lies and nonsense  about  President Obama denying the people their Constitutional rights, on the lies the far-right are spreading by the likes of Ted Cruce, and Rush Limbaugh, along with the Tea Party, is because they are afraid of the money and the powers-that-be in the Tea Party. They are afraid that it will cost them their own elections if they start telling us, the people, the truth about the dirty tricks that are pulled by the Tea Party.

If I would compare it to anything myself, I would compare the fear of the so-called rational Conservatives to the Tea Party  with the need of the people who attended Trump University.  Students for the most part do not have money or are not stupid but it is like they lost all touch of their common sense for an opportunity to rub elbows with Donald Trump.

Trump University was nothing more than a rip off that cost 5000 students $35,000.00 each.  Most of us  have to wonder why anyone would pay a non-credited school that price much less attend any school just to see Trump but that is what some of the students are claiming.  They said, “We thought we would at least be able to see Donald Trump but instead we only got to take our pictures with a cardboard cut out of him,” as though that was their biggest complaint after having been exposed as suckers. Isn’t it scary as hell to think that any of these people might hold power over any of us in the future?

It should scare all of us in just how easy it is for some  People in America to be taken in by other people who carry a large credit line or billfold and never have to prove anything. It could cost Trump millions for running a scam but the right-wing or the Tea Party bully tricks seemingly are working in their own Party as well as in the opposition.

Where the large majority of us can and do understand that men like Donald Trump, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh are for the most part self-serving and entertainment worthy of being not much more than a joke; too many others will  too often take what they say serious .  The majority of us do see through their rhetoric and do view them as a bunch of cheap tricks and hot air, knowing there exists amongst us those who cannot separate truth from fiction and instead think these men credible.  Many others who know better treat them as being credible and pay them lip service because they feel that if they invoke this same mentality they can win or there will be something in it for them if they do.

It can be compared to thinking a mirage in the desert is the real thing.  Others know if they don’t accept this type of hate and rhetoric,  that these men spit out, as based on fact, and is often heard at  CPAC,  they will pay too great of a price in what it will cost them so they just generally accept the fact that these men who spread hate and lies are just part of the bigger picture and are a stepping stone  to their access to power. In much  the same way  Conservatives and Republicans alike, understand without taking the Tea Party money and support they will lose their elections.

These are not always stupid people but people who can be and are taken in by both money and power and are by nature controlled by greed, the idea of being part of the power or fame, or think they can change a system they are passionate about changing. They never do, of course, as they either get out or accept that the hate and rhetoric is part of what they have to accept and instead of making changes or a difference  they simply get absorbed into what is wrong in the Republican Party in the first place.

Do not mistake me  for a moment in what  I am saying, as  those in the Conservative cause are so dedicated to their principles that they are very sincere in the belief, ” that they and only they,” have the right to talk about family values and hold the high ground of morality for what is the right thing to do for all of us. Since it is so black and white to them they are often blind-sided to the idea that they are out-of-place since each person in America regardless of race, creed, gender, or color have a right to choose their own identity and destiny.

None of us deny that there does exist right and wrong in America and as such we do need to continually work towards a more perfect Union but when an entire group of people, whose perception of the truth or the differences amongst us are already misconstrued, are turned loose with the power that exist and the feelings of arrogance that they and they  alone are right and everyone else who disagrees with them are wrong, then we have an unjust system on all levels of Society.

Without considering the differences in cultural, religious beliefs, economical back grounds, and often times what may be wrong for one person to act on but life threatening if another doesn’t have the accessibility to act on the same behavior, then we should all be able to understand the heresy in the  black and white mentality and that its perceptions are seriously flawed. At the very least we should be able to accept the injustice that accompanies that mentality when we deny equality or choices from any American Adult to choose, when the capacity to do so is their inalienable right to do so.

When anyone outside of their black and white beliefs or narrow visions, is a person or are  people who excel beyond  their chosen spectrum of acceptance, the general belief of these Conservative fanatics is that the person who succeeds when  they deem they had no right to,  breaks through their barrier and  too often they genuinely feel threatened as though these people are robbing everything they are entitled to themselves, from them.

They themselves do not always have to be held up to the standards of their own moral virtues, but “By Damn,” the opposition or under class better bend to it.  Is it any wonder then when those of us who check out these often out spoken politicians own records, we  realize they often sound like hypocrites even though the same fails to register with them? It is not a rare exception, when a person or people who live/ lives beyond or outside of the Conservatives  perceived expectations, then literally they become their enemy because in the Conservatives’ moral convictions, it simply was not intended to apply to them or be that way.

They often over-look entirely the right of choice by the workers, minorities, and women or literally the common decency they extend to what they call, “One of our own,” or those who they can mold, because they are so convinced those rights belong to the Upper class of Society, which most commonly is the white heterosexual male. When they themselves are taken less seriously by the voters than what they take themselves they are left clueless. So convinced are they that they hold the moral high ground and the right to speak for the Nation they feel that they alone have the right to dictate, “what is what’. Gone are the old guard Republicans such as, Bob Dole, who felt America had a moral obligation to feed its hungry, and to  provide for the poor, disabled, and elderly through maintaining a strong government healthcare system, in this Republican Party.

Since they all have aides and speech writers of their own, they learn to measure their steps by saying what they think the people want to hear and can sometimes even ignore  the fact that Grover Norquist is always standing by with pen and pledge and not too unsubtle threats that if they do not comply to his and the Tea Party mentality and approval, then they can kiss any election win good-bye nor need they attempt to run for office, if they are foolish enough to think they can win without Tea Party money or support.  The mere fact that this group of bandits still refuse to believe their hand-picked candidate, Mitt Romney  was a joke, should tell the majority of us why the powers-that-be in the Republican Party are in essence destroying the GOP. When we combine that knowledge with its refusal of accepting equality in its platform at their National conventions ,then we understand the  mockery that these people are making out of what was once, “The Proud Old Party,”

Both the Democrats’ and Republicans’ Conservatives  know they can lose their own elections  to the money and power behind the Tea Party, so instead of standing up to them and disputing their lies they play along with them, as to do so, they will be rewarded in their next election wins without competition, even when they know  what the right-wing and Tea Party  are saying  is plain ridiculous and there are no grounds to impeach our President. They view the Tea Party and fanatics as the lesser of two evils because they are so convinced anything less than Conservative is simply wrong or evil.

Conservative  Republicans will suggest that it is getting close to meeting standards of Impeachment where the few Democrat Conservatives will remain quiet and in doing so add to the weight of  the erroneous beliefs of those who are both brain washed and misguided into believing  that Americans are losing their freedoms, even though these politicians lower their own image and values in the process.  The only freedoms that we are losing are coming from this bunch of right-wing bandits and their propaganda.  I don’t know which is more pathetic.  Those who play along with Impeachment of our President, even though they know it is an insane suggestion or those who really believe they have grounds to do the same.

I realize that the Liberals talked about doing the same to George W. Bush as well, and certainly they can have similar actions when it comes to their refusal to budge, but there was that little problem thing that Bush did and it was to lie to the Congress in  order to go to war over weapons of Destruction that both the U.N. and intelligence told them Iraq did not have. They did not actually say they wanted to get out the oil that rightfully belonged  to British Petroleum and Halliburton, as that might have been classified as an illegal war. There may have been some grounds there if the Liberals had started 5 different committees on it like the Republicans have on Benghazi.

It cost these same Conservatives the election when they tried to go after Bill Clinton, for impeachment,  so why doesn’t the far-right and those who kiss their butts wake up to the dangers they cause in their own party when they even whisper such a thing.  Don’t they think the rest of the Nation catches on to their infiltration attempts?  Won’t even their fondest believers eventually wise up after a while and see a pattern forming here, right under their nose? They have gotten away with it for so long that they actually  are  working on the next generation of believers.

All the tea party and far-right fanatics  do is spread hate and lies and hurt their own Party. They never accomplish anything beyond campaigning and winning on their fear tactics.  Nothing gets done for ‘we the people’ beyond the pork they bring home. Is it possible these people stoop to this level because they only run in order to line their own pockets or is it to  make sure the white male gains back  what they think is their rightful Supremacy over women and minorities? Certainly a self-respecting Conservative with any values at all, which they all claim to be the “gatekeepers of”,  must know  these campaign messages of the Tea Party and right-wing fanatics do not sound too far-flung from what the Ku Klux  Klan sounded like in the 1950s

These same  right-wing fanatics and Tea Party Conservatives  create a Civil war in their own Party and try to deliberately slow down our Nation to a  trickle  when it  comes to hiring the middle class, job growth, and making major gains on the GNP. The main stream Republicans are afraid of them and can’t get along with them but that does not stop them from faulting President Obama in public as being a weak leader when they themselves cannot get them to budge and it is their elected job to do so.

The mainstream Republicans  instead refuse to agree with President Obama’s  agenda in public even when they acknowledge it is the right thing to do in private. These Conservatives cannot get along with these fanatics and show leadership in their own Parties so in their effort to not offend the Tea Party they play along with their lies. They have their well established media flashing the same rhetoric.  The right-wing Republicans along with the Tea Party who in many instances are even farther right-wing than the fanatics,  have made it clear that they have dug in their heels and will not pass anything that either the Democrats in the Senate or President Obama hands them.

One would think a person with any intelligence at all, would realize that President Obama is not running so the 2014 and 2016 elections should be about the positive points in the candidates who are running but ‘nope’ they are starting out this election no different from what they did in 2010 when the Tea Party won by a landslide. They are so arrogant as to think the majority of Americans will support them in their attempts to shut down the government in order to stop Obama care, because no one feels they dare stand up to them in their own Party.

It pretty much gets down to ,”If we tell the people the truth about ourselves or what we are really thinking or planning, we will never win so let’s go out there and spread any lies we can against President Obama.”  The sad thing is , it worked for them in 2010 so will it work for them again in 2014? If it does then are not we the voters to blame?

They are so intent in the blame game and spreading hate that it has not yet occurred to them they  are skating on thin ice themselves  when they totally dismiss the anger they create amongst the American people when they push forward to destroy the voters rights act while “doing nothing’, but obstruct the needs of the people.

Clearly there is enough evidence by now in the lack of courage in the few level-headed left in the Republican Party to stand up to them, so it is going to take the majority vote of the people to clean these obstructionist in our recovery, out.  When are the people they represent going to vote them out by recognizing they are either foe or coward, and replace them with people of courage? If that kind of politician can even exist in the Republican Party in Washington anymore.  If the Republicans can once more have a Party that is something more than an embarrassment, they need to stand up against the fanatics of the Tea Party, so when will they get started ?  That’s my question for the day.

As the Republicans and the few Conservative Democrats go out in mass in the Red States spreading their fear tactics amongst the, knowledgeable, unsuspecting and gullible against Obama Care, with what they refer to as “listening” town meetings in some States, let me assure you all we have been here and done this before.

If you don’t remember the mid-term elections of 2010, then let me assure you that these same attempts were done when it came to initiation of minimum wage in the 1960’s. Just as the Corporate world is gearing up to cut back the workers to part time, with the excuse they cannot afford Obama care, let me assure you they pulled the same stunts in the 1960’s to get out of paying minimum wage.

What are really pathetic about these so called listening meetings, are that these candidates to start with, are paying back the Tea Party financial support they took to get elected. Much of what these meetings contain are not necessarily the views of the candidates but those of the powers-that-be, who paid for their elections.

When it is a listening town meeting it eliminates the need for the conservatives and tea party to have to back up what they are saying with any kind of proof or facts, or give the public pause to question their thinking. They need not tell us what they are going to replace Obama Care with nor what they expect to do when Corporate America puts all the workers on part time thus eliminating their own responsibility to providing the workers with health care.

Instead they will give us all some song and dance about health care costs going down or remaining low as long as Insurance companies are made to compete with each other. As people we are suppose to let go of that minor problem that defeats their arguments, by realizing competition has always existed amongst Insurance Companies and instead of our costs falling the Insurance Companies all establish their own price in mutual agreement, while they all charge us the same.

The Conservative and Tea Party truth have proven false, when it comes to the drain out of our own pockets and the increasing costs that we pay out for Insurance costs for health care. let me assure all of us they do believe they are too smart to let us think this way so they scare us instead about the high cost of Obama care.

So lets think about it. Haven’t Insurance Companies piled on higher deductibles and charged higher co-pays over the years and paid less as they did so? Haven’t premiums escalated over the years? Don’t we often find when we need health care or hospitalization that the costs are not covered even though we were led to believe they would be? After years of paying in don’t we regularly find that our loved ones are denied coverage because of pre-existing disease? When we get sick isn’t there always a cap placed on what Insurance Companies will pay? Don’t most of us pay into healthcare more year after year for our deductibles and co-pay and get nothing back in return with the Insurance Companies pocketing that money?

Obama care prevents Insurance Companies from doing all of this so the big push to allow Insurance Companies to continue to compete at our own expense is being financed by the Insurance Companies and those whose associations to profitable health care, remains intact themselves, and who have paid politicians who are fighting for them, and them alone.

None of us need fool ourselves into believing these politicians are working for “We the People,” or that competition amongst Insurance Companies will decrease our costs when Insurance costs go up and their profits fall, when they are allowed to compete on their own is even remotely close to the truth. The only way we will all get the coverage we all will need, at some time in our life, is through Obama care, who will limit the high costs by buying insurance through the Insurance Companies in large blocks, that will force them to compete against each other for larger shares.

Do we really believe that any company that hires us part time will pay for our Insurance costs? The law in every State says that Companies of all sizes and not just those of 50 people or more are not obligated to provide any kind of benefits to a part-time employee and that includes the agreement that they all have when there are Unions present, as well. That my friends, is just a small example of the Republican’s answer to health care cost, when they say competition drives down the costs.

As people are forced into working part time so that Companies and Corporations no longer have to pay for health care, where are we the middle class going to be able to get affordable health care if not from Obama care?

Certainly we aren’t going to buy into the Conservative or Tea Party paid answers of competition driving down cost from Insurance Companies; When that is all we have ever had prior to Obama care, and there appears to be no bottom to the rising costs and the inadequacy of coverage we currently get, through competing Insurance Companies, are we? We can see right through that and acknowledge that they have zip, nana, nothing for a replacement can’t we?

Corporations just as businesses will need to learn what places like Cosco and companies before them have learned, and that is if it cost more initially to hire full time workers, and even that is debatable, and provide health care it will save much more in the long run to keep the workers happy.

Already American Companies are starting to realize when we can order any product over the World-wide Web ourselves, their product value in the United States is falling. With so much massive production taking place in Countries like China and India, with fewer regulations, the product that they sent there to be built and have staked their name on is being devalued, in many cases, before it even leaves the factories in both China and India.

When others have the finances to build a better product here, or dare I say, “A better mouse trap”, there will always be people who will pay a greater price for quality over a sub-par products. The current products, that we are getting from over-seas or across the border from producers, who have little to few guide lines, will not last with the American consumers.

This makes “Old Money” very nervous. We only need to wait them out, with the help of Obama care. Right now it is the only choice we do have but the tide is changing, the more the powers-that-be determine the middle class does not matter. They have always gotten by with treating the poor this way, so it is natural for them to believe they can treat the middle class the same way.

Unless the middle class has expendable incomes and education becomes affordable to all Americans, the money of the Powerful will never decrease. The more money the middle class has the more America’s over-all economy improves and the more unemployment goes down. When this happens, then Companies and Corporations of more than 50 employees have to pay up in order to fill supply and demand. These Businesses are already feeling lost in having sent their products over-seas and buying across the border and instead of blaming it on their own greed, they are using their next best tool, and that is to raise education costs, while cutting back the hours and income of the workers. This mentality always fails as history will prove out again.

When Companies have to start messing around with scheduling part time workers in work places where the records of attendance or showing up to work are already poor in many cases or sketchy at best, and paying more in higher costs because of more workers needed to fill a full time job, in workmen’s compensation claims, and law-suit settlements for injury on the jobs, they will go back to swallowing their greed for profits and hire the full time workers.

When our own capabilities and talents are treated as nothing more than what a part-time worker can do by employers and as having no value over that of those who line the streets looking for jobs, then we have no real need to want to see their Companies grow either.

Rare, is the Company who has not been found to be more efficient by the worker or workers whose loyalty have discovered a better invention or way of cutting costs, while under full-time employment. As part-time workers, we no longer need to be driven to give up family time or sick days in order to please the bosses or to insure our own employment. Instead of it becoming a two way commitment by both workers and employers it becomes just a job. They can,” Take it or leave it.”

What goes along with part-time workers and is non existent to minor problems in the full-time workers, who are kept happy and loyal, employers today will learn just as they did in the 1960s when it came to getting out of paying minimum wage, they cannot afford the scheduling or the lack of loyalty that goes along with saving profits by hiring the part-time workers over full-time workers.

They will learn they can ill afford to hire a part-time worker, over a full-time worker because full-time workers are the people who do add to the profits of any business. They will also realize that we will deal with organic Farmers’ Markets or raise our own with-in our own borders to cut food costs, before we buy food products from chain stores that import unregulated food products or pay more for a product that lasts over one that is not safe or falls apart.

The company heads’ egos sometimes refuse to let those in the board rooms see the truth, that those of us who have been both workers and set on boards, already know and that is without full-time workers, health Insurance and other benefits, and loyalty shown the full-time workers, Company products or business will also fail to live up to the expectations of the customers.

They are not the first generation to have to learn this and they wont be the last, unfortunately, either. Every few decades out of every Century the powerful have had to learn this same lesson and when they do the strong-holds currently held by the Tea Party and Conservatives also fall. It has happened so many times in the history of America that it has become, known as “the American Way,” or better known as Capitalism.”

The great Blessings of Capitalism is that the road runs both ways. Not only do the Powerful gain their profits, periodically, but so do the workers see their profits change and increase through supply and demand, when we vote for a just Democracy.

It is still true that the American dream is possible for all of us, if we are willing to sacrifice today, we will be rewarded tomorrow and some of those who fail to understand our value will also find the powerful will be renting from us. The Conservatives and Tea Party mentality have had a run of 30 years plus years and will lie to maintain that power.

These last three decades, of Conservative Power, have seen the middle class get poorer and decrease in size as the profits of Corporate and the wealthy have increased by 400% during the same period, while remaining at 1%. We need to vote out Politicians who embrace Conservative values over the values of the workers, so the middle class and poor who have not had their opportunity, do get a chance of a life-time to prove that a better educated and diverse Society returns to its’ rightful place in the Middle class. We begin by eliminating ever rising Insurance costs, as dictated to us by the Conservative and Tea Party movements and past behavior of Insurance Companies.

Right now the Powerful may be adding to the fears over Obama care but ultimately they will be embracing the availability of less costs that is found in Obama care. No one does deny that Obama care can be improved upon but as long as Conservative Republicans and the Tea Party and their lackeys are spreading their fear tactics while they threaten to shut down government over funding Obama care, then we the middle class have no hopes to believe we will ever have affordable healthcare.

The Republicans are offering nothing over what got us into the high costs of health care with poor coverage in the first place. If we don’t stop this so called fair competition amongst Insurance Companies none of us with have health care including the elderly.

Its one thing when the Republicans refuse to get real and use Obama care, and their refusal to fund the same, as reason to shut down the government but it is all together another thing if we the voters refuse to accept their malarkey for what it is and get real ourselves.

If you attend one of these Town Hall Meetings, I strongly suggest, if you are allowed to ask questions, that you ask these Republican Geniuses, if they plan on providing all of the people the same health coverage they get as our Representatives in Government?” It is not only worth a try but a laugh as well to see just how broad of a spectrum of answers they can spread or how deep the B.S. gets. We can also ask them if they would be willing to give up their government coverage of Insurance since we cannot afford it?

If you can’t attend the Town Hall meetings then I suggest we all e-mail them and ask them the same questions. If you don’t know your State representatives just type in the name of your State followed by Representatives and they will appear along with their e-mail addresses.

If we don’t get an answer back, or just more of their propaganda if we do, then can we all assume that they only see the problem of Obama care not being affordable when it comes to us having health care, but when we pay for their healthcare then they do not see anything other than their own entitlements? Since they clearly are not working for the needs of the people who elect them, by shutting down government and refusing to fund Obama care, wouldn’t Mitt Romney call them free loaders who feel entitled to tax payer’s money? Have a good day all.

It definitely isn’t my intent to leave the impression that change frightens all people by my title but it certainly has it’s fair amount of believers.  Many amongst us are equally turned off by,” the same old, same old,” and too often feel it futile to recognize that change needs to happen while the group who are in Power refuses to change, or dig in their heels even further to defeat our efforts.  Since many of us, do understand that change is not only necessary in the advancement of ideas, education, invention, and health I do not attempt to deal with those of us who see the necessity for change in this Post.

Although fear of change can and does effect every facet of our lives, this post primarily deals with the history of why generations before us, as well as some of us today, fear to question the powers-that-be when it comes to the fear of losing our jobs. I begin then with the number one reason, People fear change and that reason is because for the most part these groups or generations of the same, as rarely is it just an individual unless it is someone like, Nelson Mandela, who did stand alone in the beginning, have pretty much gone through their childhood into adulthood accepting that life is pretty much black and white and that is just the way it needs to be or should be done. When people adjust to a lifestyle, no matter how difficult that lifestyle may be, the fear of the unknown is often greater than making any kind of change that could be foreign to what they have always known.

They never question why things were done that way because the Bible says so, their Grandparents said so, they have become settled with living the lifestyle, or that is just the way they have always done things. They live a simple life never questioning another way of life and find it fairly easy to brand anyone else who does not believe as they do, either as an heretic, as being stupid or strange, or as an eccentric. Often they go through life in osmosis while never questioning and repeating both the success and failure of that reasoning that was established long before they were born.

Many times because they are so certain that change is wrong they can and do become the first to be manipulated and exploited. When they are victims of those who prey on them, they become that more fearful of what they refer to as outsiders.Paranoia can often grow in leaps and bounds and that distrust spreads from one generation to the next.

Families like the Rothschilds, Rockefellars, Carnegies. etc. were amongst families who gained the first massive wealth earned on the backs of the poor, so these families have for generations believed they and only they, and those they appoint or accept into their own World, are entitled to remain the power of the Nation as long as one of their kind remains in America. Since no one else had the money or organized ability to dispute this theory they accepted that as being foolhardy or futile to change. It was also the established fact in the Countries where the immigrants were migrating from. Only the wealthy could provide them with the income necessary to feed their families.

It doesn’t mean for one moment that change would be unhealthy but the idea or attitude to actually formulate a plan to do so and to actually promote change would be foolhardy on the part of anyone who wished to make a niche in the world of their own, has always existed. Sadly, the “nouveu riche,” have lost much of the compassion for the poor and the arts, that was often present in the earlier Blue Bloods, when it comes to any belief of giving back to the less fortunate, although it has never been good when it comes to support of the poor in their own Districts.

The great majority of those who do dig in their heels against change do so out of fear.  Many came from other Countries where any expression of injustice against the uneven distribution of power or wealth would often lead to certain hangings or death in their birth Countries. When many of the families of power and wealth were getting established as the power of the New Nation, it never occurred to the new immigrants that changing what they had become accustomed to in Europe would be wise.

So while the wealth of those in power grew in the 1800’s the poverty of new immigrants was second nature to them when it came to not trying to change what had always been. They, just as their ancestors before them, accepted that they were beholding to the Powers that be, to provide them with income through hard work so they could feed their families, no matter how scant those wages were and the hunger and poor working conditions of mere subsistence, that was often provided them.

In much the same way the people of wealth did not want to embrace change either because it meant
they would have to let go of the power they had gained in America. Many immigrants already understood what trying to evoke change led to. The fear of change being passed from one generation to the next, was learned at their grandfather’s knee with real stories often told about deprivation. Just as soon as families lost their wealth, they fell out of power and recognition, so fear of change then just as today, goes both ways and is why Trust funds are often set up to be ironclad amongst the wealthy. Just as the names of power and wealth change so does the contracts often awarded to those who the wealthy rub elbows with, often change. It has often been said, “the first generation to make wealth, the second generation to hold it together, and the third generation to lose it all,” however the wealth gained in the 1800’s in America by a hand full of families was so large it would last well into the 21 first century.

Every County, City, and State have families that represent the same power as the first families of New York still represent. Politicians especially take advantage of this fear while campaigning during elections as do other groups too many to name.

Unless we think fear of Change continues to be only applicable in rural areas or the South, let me assure you that some of the greater offenders of the refusal to change are New Yorker’s, who have gotten away for years believing they and only they could determine the pulse of the Nation, because they were established as the first and largest bed of Democracy.

The different ethnic groups within the boroughs as well as the powers that be very much, in their own minds anyway, feel they have the right to determine who are the normal people in America and everyone else they refuse to allow into their Social network are hill billys or backwards, while they write huge checks to the Churches for the poor since they feel they earned the right to determine “Who was Who or “One of Us,” through their ancestors generations prior to today. We see the same convictions in the publishing houses and broadcasting networks where some go back generations and are often the mouthpiece of those who feel entitled. (Please note: my previous post entitled, Isn’t Cable Television Exploiting Ignorance?)

Since New Yorkers are so certain they are the bed of Democracy and Manufacturing many who are educated do not even have an awareness of the fact that they were not the manufacturing center of America nor the first to be enlightened.  Think about it for a moment.  In New York; Indiana and Ohio are the Midwest.  If we never know that there are States like Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and The Dakota’s lying dead center in the United States and half the Nation lies West of these States then calling States like Indiana and Ohio the Midwest does not seem so egotistical or ignorant to a New Yorker as it does to the rest of the Nation or as it does to foreigners.

It has been centuries since the 13 original Colonies were established but the number one reason areas denoted as the Midwest have not changed is because no matter how progressive New Yorkers want to believe they are, they are not that comfortable with change, either.  God save them if San Francisco or Dallas would replace them as the cultural center of the Nation.

Change when it came to granting States rights as our Nation grew or equal powers to the rest of the Nation, the Blue bloods feared would hurt them financially and could weaken their own power base along with their believed right to the natural resources across the Nation, the more other States were known to foreign travelers and investors. Imagine for instance the financial crises they have managed to convince other Nations that would take place if the Stock Exchange would leave New York even though with todays technical support and trading the New York Stock Exchange could pretty much trade just as well in any major City in the United States.

The mere thought of change would break some out in rashes and cause others to form nervous tremors and tics after having spent generations believing it could never exist elsewhere, much in the same way they refuse to accept the Banks have gotten too large to fail. It is well established that some New Yorkers believe they are entitled to be the Cultural Center of the Nation, the base of international trade, and the Intellectual center of the world surrounded by the Ivy League Colleges in the East and any change to that belief would create havoc if it should ever change and perhaps split it with say Dallas and San Francisco who are as equally capable of establishing themselves as New York has.

The list of why people fear change can go on and on and have extenuating circumstances and many offer excuses but the real reason when all excuses are removed is because for too long people have enjoyed being on top and do not want change, as many of those who do live in fear of change do so out of fear they and their loved ones have been brought up to believe, or they have experienced on their own when they perhaps were viewed as being gullible, or fear of lost of income. The Blue Bloods have become comfortable feeling they are entitled to tell the rest of the World, Country, State, County or City, along with us, what we can expect.

If we are not part of that 1% then for just as many generations our ancestors have been afraid to challenge or change because the simple truth is people learned ways to play on the fear of those who dared to implement change by labeling or branding them, profiling them, tar and feathering them, putting them in their place or making it very clear to those who would make a change, what other people who lived in the community also knew for generations and understood that when “You live here You will do what we do, or “While in Rome do what the Romans do or get out.”

The problems, as they saw it, with the middle class major growth following World War 2 and the continuation of the same up until 30 years ago was that the middleclass, up until the Conservatives took control over the Republican Party 30 years ago, were growing in wealth and power of their own. As the middle class grew so did Capitalism expand. This steady change in the balance of wealth was a concern for the wealthy and did not go unnoticed by them.

When the middle class had expendable income their wealth could grow through investments, college education or through intellectual innovators until they had every bit the same opportunity to gain wealth and power without needing the approval of the powers that be. They could keep them out of their social venues but they could not prevent this change from taking place amongst the middle class in America because they did not have the politicians or the law on their side prior to the gradual decline of the middle class.

The Blue Bloods did not mind the middle class wealth so much because as long as Capitalism grew so did their own wealth and they were able to stay ahead of the pack, until they started losing a great deal of their own wealth because the younger generations were needing to hire lawyers who often cost them small fortunes in divorce settlements and staying out of jail because of crime, alcoholism, and snorting cocaine. Cocaine was the drug of choice and huge amounts were shared amongst the 80’s generations attending the parties of the younger generations. While the new generations were making gross displays of their Wealth by playing hard, gambling large sums, and jet-setting around the World, they were spending scandalous sums of money. They, unlike the previous generation who added to their wealth, simply refused to work a day in their lives, and the sucking noise on the lost of old money began increasing.

As the old Money blue bloods were losing money from in-breeding or law suits due to poor morals and work ethics and gross displays of wealth in the blue blood communities, the middle class as a group were gaining steadily on the great fortunes of the 1800’s. By throwing out the Unions and reducing the income of the middle class these last 30 years along with iniatiation of “the right to work laws,” by the Tea Party Governors and Conservative legislatures the middle class have been sliding rapidly into poverty while their wages drop steadily or remain stagnate while many in the class of the Super rich or that of the Old Money incomes have increased during the same period by 400%.

It has always been easier to keep the man who is dependent on the Powers-That-Be for a job, hungry enough so that he/she do not initiate change or revolt against the cost of high medical care, unjust and unfair wages, or high cost of educational costs for fear if they do they will lose the only income they do have. The poor are much easier to control than those whose wealth, when joined together is equal to or greater than the Powers-that-be. That was the reason why Unions protecting the workers, in the first place, were ever formed in America.

Without the threat of the middle class making financial gains on the wealthy they can be certain that the distribution of power does not change for another 100 years, just as we can be certain that the “same old, same old” will remain where the ‘rich get richer’, and ‘the poor get poorer,’ until we, ourselves, learn to embrace change by voting out the balance of the Conservative and Tea Party supported power in our States and Washington D.C. beginning in 2014 and 2016.

Every election the politicians, who are supported by big money will promise us change while working on our worse fears of what will happen if we elect or re-elect their opposition. Those who have always voted Party tickets and their minions, over checking out the bases of funding for individual candidates and how they have voted in the past, will go to the polls and elect those conservatives and tea party candidates who year after year bring home the pork to make it appear they are working for the people.

Sadly, at the same time these exact same politicians are taking a pledge at their CPAC Conventions, to make sure women and minorities are denied equality, affordable healthcare or Obama care is stopped, educational costs do not get cut, minimum wage does not go up, immigration bills do not pass, and the middle class wages remain poor to stagnate. If we, who are the majority do not embrace real change by voting out those whose political ties and votes go against us, but instead listen to and foolishly believe those who continue their fear mongering in an effort to win our votes, while they work against our own needs, then nothing else will ever change to improve our own circumstances either. Make each day count!

I think many amongst us, who are not schooled in the knowledge of feminists would be surprised to know; many of the leaders in the feminist and civil rights movements actually began in the various monasteries and sister-hoods with-in the Catholic Church. Even gay rights was a very early movement began by Nuns in America.

Where there have been many contributors to the causes amongst both the religious and the clergy in the Catholic Church in America, Rome, has always remained steadfast in it’s retraction of support for these causes.

Today we know about the “Nuns On The Bus”, outwardly criticism of Tea Party and Candidate for Vice President, Republican Congressman Paul Ryan’s, austere drive against the poor but long before women and minorities gained equality of any kind it was the movements within the Catholic Church in America, who played a responsible role in the causes for equality in America.

For those who were/are considered liberal in the Church there were/are an equal amount who were/are considered Conservative who upheld/uphold the law of the Church in the Conference of Bishops according to the dictates of Rome.

Just as this has always been true and still is true today, the same has always followed throughout the History of the Church. This assembled group of Conservative men, within the Church, have always been influential in having their views heard, sometimes at the destruction of the Churches’ views, in my and many others opinions within the Church.

Today I write about just one of the views within the Catholic Church that has always and will continue to separate the faithful of the Catholic Church. That is the view of a woman’s right to choose abortion over the loss of her own life. The Church teachings is that a woman must die for the sake of the fetus even though the fetus fails to thrive when the woman dies.

Today the “Personhood Bills” that takes the rights of women to choose their own destiny away from women, is being sponsored by Conservative Politicians in the “Red States” where Conservative views are suggesting, as in the past, that it is the moral view of the majority, to pass such bills.

We know from past elections this simply is not the majority view of Americans. In many incidences this bill has already passed in States where Conservative Doctrine is being dictated to the People, in totally controlled Republican Legislatures without the vote of the people.

Perhaps because I am more familiar with the name of Margaret Traxler, than most, because she hailed from the bread basket of America, where I have also lived the majority of my life, I took a deep interests in her feminists views.

The other thought, I have, is it may be because Sister Traxler was an intricate part of my own ability to question and to use common sense in the role of authority. I do have to ask where does any Church or Legislature get the authority to subtract Constitutional rights and God given free will from women, so that they feel these rights can to be denied by men, in the first place?

I have always felt that all Christian Religion should support the causes of those more poorly treated by Society, rather than deny them rights already granted. The role of Religion, in my estimation, should be to protect rather than to deny equality granted to all of us.

When history tells us it was women who carried on and established the practice of Christianity following the crucifixion of Christ, it has always left me uncomfortable in the knowledge that the beliefs of women should be secondary to men and in times of the History of Christianity, squelched, entirely, within Religion. Without the work of women many believe that Christianity would never have survived.

I personally believe that Margaret Traxler dropped Sister Traxler in her cause for Civil Rights and Equality, for two reasons:
1. She was being sanctioned by Rome to cease and desist.
2. Because she knew herself, she was crossing the line between Church and State in the expression of her views.

First, Margaret Traxler, as she would later wished to be called, although she remained in the Religious Sisterhood of Notre Dame Sisters until her death, was a person fighting for what was the right thing to do in America and for all Americans to be heard.

Sister Traxler was borne in 1924 in Henderson, Minnesota, the daughter of a Country Doctor and a mother who was a nurse. She entered the novitiate of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1942 and her education would be extensive following the taking of her vows, including getting her Doctrine degree.

She first came to my attention when I was questioning a great deal in my own personal life about the discrepancies in what the Catholic Church taught as how they applied the same teachings to their own behavior in the 1980’s.

Much stands out in my mind about the accomplishments of Sister Traxler, that I admire, from her march on Selma, Alabama with Martin Luther King, Her involvement in the protests of the Viet Nam War, being both an assistant and a Director of educational services while establishing integregated schools, her participation on the staff of the National Catholic Conference for International Justice, and even the award given to her by Golda Meier, but nothing caught my attention more than her work as a feminist.

None of us will truly know to the fullest extent that Sister Traxler was sanctioned by the Church when she took her view on abortion but we do know much was made and said at the time from within the Church and the Conference of Bishops in America against the advertisement printed in the New York Times.

In 1984 Sister Traxler was one of 26 Religious Sisters who signed their names to an advertisement in the New York Times entitled “A Catholic Statement On Pluralism and Abortion.”

The ad stated that there are more than one Catholic positions on abortion, and called for religious pluralism and the discussion within the Church.
The ad stated and showed results of the poll taken at the time amongst Catholic membership, the results were: only 11% of Catholics in good standing within the Church were against all abortions, irregardless.

The ad read that the great majority of Catholics found and reached understanding for the necessity of abortion. When we take into consideration that the Equal Rights Amendment had only been signed into law, a mere 13 years at the time, then we must acknowledge those with the best memories and who lived through the tragedy of non-equality clearly favored a woman’s right to choose.

Sister Traxler would ultimately uphold the teachings of abortion taught in the Church, but would then choose to go by her given name following the advertisement. She continued to dedicate her life to equality in America, up until she suffered a devastating stroke in 2000. She died two years later in 2002.

Two other sisters, who were much braver in my opinion, but unfortunately names that I fail to remember, would be expelled from the sisterhood for taking the views of a woman’s right to choose.

I am not sure that my analogy of “braver” is a just analogy since leaders of all movements are made to feel greater pressure than fellow members. Perhaps Sister Traxler felt she could accomplish more within the Religious community than she could out of it, as her record speaks for itself.

I simply write this post today to point out one of the things I did admire about my training as a Catholic was the encouragement that I did get from the Religious Sisterhood to think for myself.

I have always believed equality is not handed out in parcels but given in its entirety to all people, and until Women get complete and equal treatment under the law and in the work place with the white male, people of other Races, Creeds, and Sexual orientations will be denied as well.

Feminism is so much more than just the fight for equality for women, as it embraces equality for all people around the World, and Sister Margaret Traxler practiced and lived that belief.

It was only after listening to the views of those who profess to place Conservative views on all of us as the view of the Churches over those of a more compassionate view held by other beliefs in the Churches in America, that I realized my beliefs do matter.

I know Christ did Teach the more liberal views held by the Church and threw out much of what was previously written as acceptance of morality in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Christ taught the love of God for His children over the severe punishment by an angry God often spoken of in verses of the Old Testament. The use of Stoning against women and children as being against God’s will just as usurping the authority of God to Judge his children, appear for the first time in the teachings of Christ.

When I saw the discrepancies of the Conservative held views were often times self-limiting and I felt unjust, I walked away from all established Religion, rather than accept the limited view of equality that was becoming louder in the Churches across America.

I still refer to myself as Christian because I did not walk away from the interpretation of what Christianity was meant to be. I perhaps am more Christian today than I was while listening to views, I could not nor never would accept. There are thousands just like myself, because of the lack of equality taught in the Churches, who struggle with leaving their Churches, just as I did.

I do feel the next time any Church questions why they are losing more people in their own Churches or their Congregation are leaving to join another Church or becoming Agnostic or Atheists, the Churches themselves, must first take a good look at their own backyards.

Instead of blaming higher education and Satanists leanings and the poisoning of views by Liberals who encourage self-expression and equality for all of mankind, they need to guard first against the practice of hypocrisy as well as against the division of equality, within their own ranks.

Democracy spells equality and inclusion for all, just as should Christianity also spell the same, but sadly, the more Conservative Government gets in America and the more Conservative Religion gets the larger the erosion of equality also becomes. This is not my opinion but shows up in the study of past history.

I ask everyone today to think about where our thoughts and stands comes from and on what we base it, within our own individual consciousness, without the voice of our families, ministers, or politicians ringing in our ears.

Are we still even capable of distinguishing what our own consciences tell us or has that been replaced by propaganda, bias and divisiveness, another person’s own interpretation, or what we think other people think we should believe?

It is never a bad question for any of us to ever ask ourselves as in the end of each of our lives, it will be our own personal beliefs that we do get judged on.

There will be no more excuses left as to why we did not use our own intellect and free will, given to us as gifts by our Creator, in the final analysis of life. Have a good weekend everyone.

Somewhere over the last 30 years some women have seemingly forgotten we were granted the power of Free will, no differently from the male gender, by our Maker or Creator.

The very same people who relied on birth control, themselves, seem to be very remote in their own memories when it comes to granting the equality of choice to future generations.

It is reminiscent of the older Prostitute, who gains respectability through marriage, and then sits in judgment of the young woman who gets pregnant out of marriage the first time she has sex or when the often told joke in the South touched more on truth than humor.

It was often repeated in the South, accordingly:” I know I got her pregnant Paw but I hain’t going to marry her.” Why not Son? “Because she was a virgin when I met her.” “Well then son if she hain’t good enough for her own family, then she hain’t good enough for our own.”

As the numbers of rape done through strangers, acquaintances, and incest are being denied amongst those who now understand the life-long horrors done to women by rape, while the numbers remain constant or grow, the same people who are most aware, seemingly, want to deny women in even greater numbers, their right to choose.

Too often women, who understand and fight for both our equality and inalienable legal rights granted through “The Equal Rights Amendment”, and our moral right of free will, that separates us from the animal species, are branded as if the fight for equality is a dirty word and done by evil women who are branded as feminists.

Sadly, because of the negative twist that is too often applied to the word feminist it is a word that too many times gets used as a word of disrespect amongst those who deny the equality of genders. Feminists ranks right up there with the word “bitch” that is too often applied to competent women.

When I read the series of books entitled the “Good Wife” or see women gather to learn to better please their husbands in bible groups or in scrap booking groups in individual homes, I am left with a sense of deja vu all over again. Throughout history women have been there and done that while being made to feel the guilt of a marriage that fails.

The Conservative movement in America is really doing a major disservice to the equality of women who come out of cultures who have not advanced to the equality entitled to all Americans or who are made to carry the guilt of blame of what are determined to be deteriorating families in the eyes of the “Good Old Boy” system.

It is true that there are both men and women who marry and neither remains faithful and it is equally true women file for far more divorces than what men do. What women fail to hear are the reasons that women are left to file for divorce.

Men rarely take the vows of matrimony as serious as women do. If it wasn’t for a woman’s insistence of marriage many men would be content to reproduce themselves without the benefit of marriage vows and without legal restrictions to support the child. It is a fact that women to a larger percentage over men, marry for life.

When vows are broken through infidelity, domestic abuse is present, refusal to maintain a family financially exists, and trust is lost, Divorce is most often the burden left for women to carry through on. Although women are guilty of all the same above faults these are faults largely attributable to failures in men.

Men are much more likely to use the lack of a divorce as an excuse to not re-marry again but to move in together without strings attached over women’s desire to re-stabilize their own future prospects. When these above faults are present in the men who women marry too many times women are made to feel guilt that they some how caused the weakness in these men who never had the character of backbone in the first place.

Women are better educated and as such they are becoming the larger bread earners in America today. Men are more content to stay home to help out and raise families, than they have been in the past but a man’s idea of child rearing too often means hiring a nanny or cleaning Lady so he can be free to discover himself.

When parents fail to teach empathy and responsibility to children so children grow up understanding the world isn’t just about them and their wants and needs but also about the wants and needs of those we hold most dear, friends, neighbors, and family who depend on us, families fail. Laziness, Selfishness, or a lack of empathy is not now nor has it ever been gender specific.

I urge all women of all races and backgrounds to remember the word Feminists is a word we all need to be proud of, as it is or should be, the battle cry of all women who seek the justice of moral free will and inalienable legal rights for all people.

It should never matter if Americans are men or women or if they are people who work, breathe, eat, pray, love, vote, drive, gather, marry, remain single, dedicate their lives to others, raise families, stay at home, or discover their own substantial worth or value in America, they are all equal because of the efforts and sacrifices of feminists.

We can never forget that without Civil Rights workers, suffragists, and feminists we would never be able to vote in 2014; Nor would we rank any higher in the eyes of mankind as any one other than a man’s property or chattel.

We need to stop the deterioration taking place by the Conservative movement in America, in an effort to gain back our moral right to free will granted to us by our Creator and our legal rights of equality granted to us by the Equal Rights Amendment by voting as the most powerful block of voters in 2014.

The disgrace in America is not deterioration of families because of the feminists but rather deterioration of respect due to those Americans who hide behind Religious Freedom as an excuse to deny Americans the equality due all of us regardless, of sexual orientation, race, Creed, or gender through the Conservative movements and paid for groups who speak for individual Conservatives in America.

When we become like too many members of the Tea Party who openly say: “it is not my problem if their house falls in the bay, if they do not have Social Security, or if a poor man in a coma dies due to lack of insurance.”; then we can no longer deny the lack of empathy for all Americans is at the crux of the problem.

When we tell those who promote these ideas and attitudes that they are dead wrong at the voting polls through our votes next year perhaps they too will see the faults in their reasoning.

In order for women to right the wrongs, and trust me, it will take women as history has always dictated that it does. We need to begin to turn around the narcissistic movements under way in America through consensus of sisterhood.

It is equally important that we use the elections on the horizon, by joining in fellowship with those politicians whose records prove they also seek justice for all, regardless of gender.

We begin now, by both parents empowering our own children and grandchildren with the power of empathy for all by teaching them charity and sacrifice for the greater good of humanity. We need not be fooled by those who conclude the false assumption,” that a hand up”, is just another name for Socialism.

If both parents fail in teaching the future generations understanding and compassion for others’ rights beyond their own, then Democracy will fail for all of us. Lets get started living by teaching through our own example today. Our actions must match our spoken words if we are to be successful in our own endeavors as parents of the next generations.

The Free will of all future generations depend on it, if we are ever going to have equality for all. None of us ever know if we will be the next one to need a hand-up tomorrow and that we can all take to the bank, even politicians.

In my post entitled “Ted Nugent is a Coward and An Idiot”, my opening paragraph made no bones about my stooping to the level of name calling but when the shoe fits, I stated “I am no different from the masses when it comes to doing so.”

When an American citizen of privilege such as Tea Partier Ted Nugent, stops just short of telling an organized body steeped in hatred towards our President,” that justice and assassination are the same”, after acknowledging he deliberately went to the bathroom in his pants for a month straight to get out of the draft, then that person in any book should be called an idiot and a coward regardless of the Party affiliation of our President and who the acting President is in The United States of America.  I do not believe that to be a long shot in opinion amongst any of us who are truly dedicated to American Decency and Democracy.

I normally do not answer my critics but anytime I get a chance to educate the American public I will take time to do so.  Douglas Wagaman on face book said in regard to my post of the above title and I quote it here:  “I had to laugh when I read this piece.  The author complains about hate, racism, and rhetoric while using the term “redneck” over and over to describe the people with different beliefs and values.  Nicely done. Lol “

When I read that quote by Douglas Wagaman on Face book, I smiled to myself and thought,” clearly Douglas and friends do not know any true Rednecks.” If I hadn’t of spent so many years, myself, living around bordering States and in the vicinity of and amongst true Rednecks and listening to their conversations while watching their behavior, I would have thought exactly as you did, Douglas. Every time I tried to get an individual who promoted the negative views I reported in my post to understand a different perspective all I ever heard back was, ” I am a Redneck and proud of it.” I would estimate over the years, I made that attempt close to a hundred times on at least as many different people or maybe even more.

I am not a shy violet who is afraid to take on controversy. Since I had the experience and heard their beliefs repeated endlessly I am able to clearly define them as Rednecks, since that is how they wish to define themselves.

In other parts of the Nation people who have had the experience of associating with extremists views may be just as justified in calling the same mentality, who profess racism or gay bashing, as Tea Party or Patriot militants, white extremists, or any number of names who would represent similar views. Terminology just like our diet and food favorites vary greatly in the different cultures across America. I should have known better and explained clearer the definition of a true redneck in my neck of the woods.

These many differences in how we view ourselves and the World becomes very prominent to all of us who do make a point of exposing ourselves to different cultures and beliefs while educating ourselves in the Diversity across America. None of us will ever get it 100% correct, myself included, as the differences of our experiences that teach us remain personal with too many amongst us, but at the very least, 100% of us can commit to the efforts of understanding the diversity that is America and the foundation of Democracy.

When others would define Democracy, with empathy for all, as Socialism and place billboards and handmade signs throughout areas in bordering States, in my neck of the woods, then the least any of us can do is to educate ourselves on the value system of Democracy while our troops continue to place themselves in harms way for the betterment of all of us to live free of the practice of such self serving discourse. Democracy committed to a better life for all is not now nor will it ever be, Socialism.

I, myself,am willing to bet the great majority of Americans would agree; America was never intended to be a Country with a ruling class of elitist served by the lower working class of workers minus an entire middle class. That idea was promoted and pushed during the 1800’s during the Industrial Revolution of the North.

The Rockefellar bosses hired Pennington Guards to shoot and kill any Union organizers and workers who tried to come in and help the workers’ circumstances and wages improve. They knew full-well without government to protect the people they could never be held responsible nor would such behavior be called a crime by the elitists who ruled America at the time. It would not be until after World War 2 that America would have a viable middle class thanks to the GI program and Democrats Roosevelt’s and Truman’s Administrations.

As the size of that middle class now dwindles and more people fall into poverty in America, due to those who would promote the idea or misconception of reality that a just health care system and wages are Socialism, while using propaganda and scare tactics, the majority of us do feel; it is a double disgrace to both the American people and those who served and continue to serve in the name of Democracy.

When we become complacent ourselves and start believing that paid for and earned rights are not our rights often paid for with dollars, blood, sweat, sacrifice, and tears but instead accept the politicians beliefs to use those rights,( in an effort to disgrace us) in the negative connotations of the word “entitlements”, then all Americans lose. Just as the John Birch Society who ran Barry Goldwater’s campaign in the 1960s believed Democracy was not the intent of our Founding Fathers so do many who call themselves Patriot groups along with many in the Tea Party, today, believe the same rhetoric.

Grover Norquist was an aide under Barry Goldwater and a big supporter of the John Birch Society. Today he has a think tank that he funnels money through to Conservative and Tea Party candidates. No Republican can get elected without first going through Grover Norquist. Every Republican must sign a pledge not to raise taxes on the elitists or lose their bid for office but Grover gave his o.k. to raise taxes on the middle class. Without our minds, hearts and eyes wide open the future of America does lie in the hands of those who would appoint themselves as elitists. How many of us think that anyone but the Conservative and Tea Party members and their paid for media were really upset when IRS decided to check out these groups tax free exemption?

We fought the biggest and most deadliest war, in our history, called the Civil War, for Democracy. We have throughout History lost many of our brave young men and women in defense of oppression against our allies around the World. Few Families, other than perhaps many of the elitists, have been spared from either serving in the name of Democracy or suffered deaths of War. The Civil War established that America would not tolerate oppression of the Constitution and of it’s people. As A Nation founded on the principle of equality for all under our Constitution we would be a Nation of Free people and that is what was the intent of our Founding Fathers all along.

It would not be until the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1971 that minorities and women would be given the full rights under the law and both are still having to fight the Tea Party and Conservatives for those equal rights yet in 2013. Do we really have to ask if it is truly wrong to suggest that other beliefs and value systems may still be unjust in a Country that prides itself on having the best Democracy in the World?

Although I do not agree with the politics of the Deep South either, it does not prevent me from looking forward to their gracious hospitality each time I travel there. I find the people who live in the region, in many incidences, to be the mirror of what the rest of us should look into once we remove the politics from the fray. I find much more prejudice exists in the North, East Coast, Mid West, Bread Basket and intermingled to too large of a degree in the South West and West Coast than what is apparent in the South each time I visit. I have always enjoyed the Diversity of Americans and view it as one of the greatest selling tools that makes up American Democracy.

Government and bureaucracy does some times move much to slow and becomes bogged down in it’s own muck and mire but for the greater part it is the greatest defender of Democracy. While we gripe about one department or the other of government, because as individuals, too many amongst us only approve of the laws that help us but hate those who protect others we too often forget about the greater services we all need through our government. Without its protection many of us would be left defenseless against hate, and the safety and welfare of our Nation’s needs, and Just protection under the law for All Americans.

As a group of people we need to remember that it is the actions of government that keeps us all safe against the greater destruction of oppression and those who promote isolation through hate. “We the People”,simply need to replace those elected officials who serve their own needs over the needs of the American people until they do understand how serious our needs are for all of us committed to the purpose of Decency and Democracy. If we don’t vote then we will always be the losers to those who would deny us our rights under the law.

I, personally, encourage everyone who have pre-conceived notions without the facts to educate themselves on the differences that make our Nation great. I certainly do not applaud nor will I ever support those who would subject their hatred and rhetoric on to other American citizens while using fear tactics in the process.

What I have found to be true once I let go of my own pre-conceived notions is that there are a great deal of commonalities that do exist amongst all of us when we make the effort to accept our differences and to rid ourselves of our own ignorance that is behind most hate. I have no doubt that all of us who look for unity will find that the goodness in the American people does out-weigh the hate that we hear. As is true, too many times, the good often gets buried under the manufactured or bad news that gets reported.

Unfortunately no one knows or understands better than the well financed and powerful political machines at work in America who often hide behind Social Ideology or Religious Freedom, when they are anything but political, that the actions of, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”, have proven itself to be true since the beginning of mankind. We find these political entities, backed by their own media, while they deliberately drive the wedge not just between the American people but also in the GOP that blames our President for the lack of their own Leadership or ability to compromise in their own Party, in Congress specifically, but also at work amongst us in our own environment.

Believe me ,Douglas, the term “redneck”, is not one of my own.  The true redneck believes as I stated they do in my post entitled “Ted Nugent is an Idiot and a Coward,” in my neck of the woods.

Just as the White Supremacists, Skin Heads, and members of any other hate groups who number in the 1000 plus range in America and who think of themselves as victims or superior to other races or sexual orientations are proud to be a member of their group so is a true Redneck proud to be a Redneck.

They are equally as proud of their belief system, racial slurs and gay bashing.  I did not pigeon-hole the Redneck belief system nor their long held beliefs against change and diversity in my area of the Nation. I did not make up this belief system but instead the people involved did it long before I wrote my post and I only reported the same.

Like any other group that takes pride in defining themselves the true redneck does as well. They do make up part of the culture of America. They like all other groups pigeon-hole themselves into the narrow views that exist amongst them just as the radical members of both the NRA and or any other group who believe they are superior to others or victims of another instead of working towards the goal that is satisfactory to all of us.

Democracy embraces all of us who do try to correct the injustices amongst us through positive efforts of all of us working together for the common goal. To pretend this is the goal of those who practice hate or those who try to divide our commonality or respect for each other, is to lie to ourselves and to live in a world of fantasy or denial.

A true redneck sincerely does believe that the Democrat Party is made up of entirely Liberals who are intent on taking away their guns.  Their belief system is exactly what makes them easy prey to the NRA and subversive groups whose only job is to divide the American people.  Anyone insulted to be called a Redneck is truly not a Redneck.

Some, amongst us may think the people who act like cave men or have not advanced to the twenty first century and feel that women rights are not suppose to be equal to the rights of the white male, are “rednecks” but in many of these examples we will find people who have religious convictions that drive their thinking and they are not in truth officially “Rednecks.”

Many included in this group may have similar beliefs when it comes to husband and wife roles but their beliefs stem instead from the verses of the Bible that says, “Wives should be obedient to and beholding to their husbands.” Not all but in a lot of instances, we will find that they are absent of hate or bigotries.

Those who are not or would divide the Faithful, are many times worse than those who make no pretentions of the fact that their hatred and bigotry are volatile. Those who hide themselves behind conservative or Tea Party values in the name of family values, yet with political endeavors in mind, are often more subtle but equally disruptive to the Democracy of America.

I have friends who, I agree to disagree with, who have joked about themselves as being “Rednecks” who have some of the same beliefs but they are totally against the NRA rhetoric and propaganda and would never support the NRA’s rant because even as members they are 100% of the belief, ” That the only people who have to be concerned about having to register a gun or go through checks are probably the people who should never own one.”

I do hope this educates everyone who had the misconception that I was placing blame where done existed, generalizing about a group of people who believe or behave differently from what I reported , or name calling anyone other than Ted Nugent and the NRA leadership in my post.

I repeat the statements I made in the post are typical beliefs and behavior of the true “Rednecks”, who are only one of many groups who make up the cultural climate of America. Anyone who is insulted by being called a redneck is not in truth probably one but perhaps one who can relate to the same on some level.

A true redneck is proud of being called a redneck as they see their views as the only acceptable views.

I have said many a time that hatred is bred in and out of ignorance so if this helps educate in regards to just one of the many groups’ beliefs and behaviors then I feel that I have done some good by exposing them. Sadly the same Republican majority who accept this mentality into Their CPAC conventions learned nothing when the American people sent them the clear message that we will not tolerate division or dismissal of the other 47% of Americans amongst us. I hope you join me in making the message loud and clear that Democracy and decency belongs to all of our people in America.

I appreciate that you took out your time, Douglas, to read my post and I do hope you learned something from it. Sadly, the beliefs of the true Rednecks are growing in numbers and shared beliefs and those of us who know the difference need to be the buffer of resistance against such stereo typing and hatred that continues to grow amongst too many of the groups with like beliefs and hatred against any group or individual Americans who do not wish us harm.

The truly honorable and brave amongst us have not dedicated their lives to the cause of elitism, hate, or class warfare but rather to the cause of Democracy. It does us all well to remember that when we celebrate Memorial Day with our loved ones and decorate the graves of those who died and risked their lives so that all of us could have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without regard to Race, Gender, Creed, Color, or Sexual Orientation.

During this time of great sorrow and travail in our Country, may we all gain a moment of strength and courage as well as be inspired by those Americans who come from all walks of life and diversity, who serve and have served all of us both well and unselfishly. The real heroes’ amongst them risk their most precious gift of life for the rights of All Americans to enjoy the true Blessings of complete and total Freedom from oppression. Thank you! God Bless us all. God Bless America.

While I took a break to remodel, read, paint and to travel I have experienced the dichotomy of the American and political brain when it comes to words not being put forth into actions and the handling of disasters.

Sadness spread by the hurricane on the East Coast followed much later by the tragedy in NewTown, only to be brought to an increased crescendo in Boston and now the disasters in Moore, Oklahoma will certainly(or should) rain on the parade of the Isis witch hunts or the GOP’s strategy sessions to degrade our President’s attempts to help the American middle class even further.

I will explain myself further if I am the only one who is correlating the dichotomy of the contradiction of the American politics in America:

1. At a time that politicians in Oklahoma are passing the personhood bill to ensure all rights of human life to a fetus who in many cases may not even be viable to sustain life outside of the womb and in other cases can lead to the death of a woman, they fail to see the importance of providing tornado shelters for the alive children in their States.

2. AT a time when Isis appears on the network and cable news assuring the public that he is going to work with President Obama to pass immigration changes he continues to attack and berate Eric Holder and President Obama as being in cahoot’s to lie to The American people and of intimidation and corruption, while off camera.

3. While the GOP and Conservatives in the Democrat Party reach out in an effort to express horror over the NewTown shootings they hands down vote down measures that would and do protect the American people and our children from future attacks in our schools, on our streets and in our homes.

4. The above mentioned; along with the Tea Party, white supremacists groups, members of Washington D.C.’s political power, lobbyists, and our States show up at the NRA Convention where they help promote the lies to the NRA membership of 75,000 strong that these efforts to safeguard our children are only efforts by the Obama Administration and the Liberals to take away their guns.

5. Anyone who can not see the dichotomy of the Tea Party and Conservative cause that bans equal rights to women in their National Platform but profess concern for future generations while professing to be God Fearing and protectors of the Faith, Constitution, and Democracy clearly are not seeing reality.  To continually operate opposite of speech in action is a clear cut reality of not just the far right, Tea Party, and Conservative cause but also of the way too many amongst us vote.

6. The two headed monster of dichotomy in America is alive and healthy in too many of the burbs and rural areas in the Red States and the Conservative hold outs in the Blue States across America.  I noticed the very large billboards advertising the various number of Churches while we were driving into Pensacola Florida.

Would Christ truly approve of such commercialization knowing over a 5 year period that those billboards cost in the neighborhood of $100,000.00 per sign and each Church has their own sign of advertisement? Couldn’t that money be better utilized elsewhere, since all the churches are also listed in both the motel room directories as well as the yellow pages?

I also saw many of the Breadbasket and Bible belt States accusing a caring and compassionate Democracy that treats ALL American’s needs as being the practice of Socialism. Those billboards and signs are interspersed amongst the States that claim Christian values along our highways as well.

Since so many, I noticed, are also driving around with bumper stickers that read: “Put Christ back in Christmas,” to the point they fail to see the over-whelming generosity towards the less fortunate and the most innocent amongst us at Christmas time, of non-Christians and Christians alike, is the most Christ-like behavior we can express; couldn’t we argue that perhaps the majority of us are failing to see the obvious while the politicians and their paid for media are playing us for fools because too many of us are disengaged or in denial?

Where is the outrage when the IRS does question legitimately the huge numbers of groups who clearly are political that hides behind Religious or freedom of ideology just to get tax breaks that are not legal?

Where is the outrage when the same people who start the witch hunts failed themselves to legislate the necessary funds that would have safeguarded our Embassys over seas?

Where is the outrage when the innocent amongst us are left unprotected because the members of the GOP refuse to allocate the funding necessary to keep our children safe, or for that matter pass laws that would limit the amount of fire power by limiting the number of bullets in the size of the magazines?

We the People keep speaking to the political leaders across the Nation and their reponse is to actually accuse the government for interfering while we continually see the need for government to help us but our elected officials are refusing to do anything that will help us.

Perhaps the only part of government we truly do need to down size and eliminate are our elected officials in Congress who claim to be on our side when tragedy strikes but votes against us when they have both a moral responsibility to vote for our needs and are elected to show competency as our elected officials.

While the media broadcasts and the GOP tries to tie a link with the mismanaged, scandalous and sometimes misunderstood depts. of government to our President has anyone even noticed that the deficit is going down, the previously uninsured can now get insurance while healthcare costs have gone down, the interests rates charged to students who are interested in improving their education and skills have remained low, the students who wish to go on with their education are now covered on their parent’s insurance, The GNP (Gross National Product) has doubled, housing has gone up and the economy is improving due to the changes made by the Obama Administration that is putting Americans back to work?

Where is the media reporting on the truth when Americans need to know? Hasn’t our President gone the extra step when it comes to tragedy and disaster in our Nation? Isn’t his concern and efforts for immigration change once more being stymied by those who insist they want the Latino and Hispanic vote, as usual? What bill other than the ones that apply to them personally along with their lobbyist, who purchased them, have the Conservatives in the Senate and the Congress passed in the last five years, that they were not pressured into doing because of their fear of not being re-elected? Have we forgotten that they only begrudgingly passed funds necessary to help those hit by the hurricane on our East Coast or to bring relief to the middle class and unemployed?

I will continue staying tuned in with my concerns while enjoying the retirement that my husband and I balanced the budget for that enables our enjoyment in the last quarter of our lives.

Every now and then when nothing has changed; as the GOP readies it’s strategy, with the help of the TEA Party, to enter under qualified candidates who are financially supported in the 100s of thousands and even millions of dollars and owe their souls to the cause of the Tea Party political machine; over those candidates who would put the American people first, I will check in with my readers. The Conservative and Tea Party groups claims of Social ideology over political based control or greed hurts my ears if it doesn’t yours.

With the 2014 elections coming up in less than 18 months can we not all smell the manure of another attempt to denigrate the Obama Administration
with increased witch hunts and lies spread by the Tea Party as we heard in 2010?

My empathy as always is with the suffering and tragedy of the American people. Will we ever have Republican and Conservative legislatures who acknowledge that the needs of “We the People”, needs to be their first and main concern by doing something in Congress and our States that would indicate the same?

Don’t we already have enough proof of the stall tactics of the GOP and Tea Party sponsored candidates to do nothing but to eliminate the pay scale of the middle class jobs, to lower education abilities,to protect capitalism over the people, or their failure to do that which is right for the American People as equals? Will we the majority of the electoral body get out of denial and get engaged in the true dichotomy of American politics? And so it goes………..

We currently are hearing so many feigned voices of shock and surprise about the rape in Steubenville,Ohio, after having had an election while one Republican candidate for the Senate spoke of legitimate rape after having co-sponsored the same bill with the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan in Congress, to define legitimate rape as opposed to regular rape. Another Virginia Republican candidate called rape and the children born out of the same,” The intent of God.”

If women raped men we could all bet that women would be accused of being Jezebels and inspired by Satan if the reverse happened.  We could also guarantee ourselves it would be discussed as the most evil of acts and no woman would be left severely unpunished, regardless of how the rape occurred.

Men have gotten off with the excuse of going into a blind rage in an act of murder and instead charged with manslaughter when they kill another where women are often charged with murder 1 since the judicial system does not equate fear in women with the level of rage in men.  It totally discounts the idea that women can to act out of rage after years of abuse. Where women need a well documented history of rape or abuse, men need to establish little to no history either supportive or contrary to their own word in order to get a lesser sentence of manslaughter or for lawyers to refuse prosecution for rape charges.

When women are prosecuted for twice the amount of time that men are when death occurs in a domestic dispute, but treated more justly in other charges, we do not need to even guess how much harsher Society would be on a woman rapist than they are on men. Why so much shock and surprise over a statement that has been promoted for generations by the “Good Old Boys”,caused such a stir in the elections this year is beyond me.

Let me take this time to clarify the fact that rape amongst athletes has been taking place for generations just as the mentality has existed for Centuries, “That good girls cannot get pregnant from rape”, has existed as well. for the Republican Party or Press to deny the same is what is at the root of the ignorance in America.  To feign ignorance over rape amongst athletes or the idea that a child born from rape is a “Blessing from God,” are new ideas should leave us all sickened with those who continually dismiss the truth.  These ideas have existed since the beginning of time.

In the minds of the “Good Old Boy System”, and unfortunately some women as well, a legitimate rape is one that involves Street mugging or when a rapist breaks into the home of a woman and rapes her.  Any rapes that happen when a woman is in the company of men or marriage or in the man’s Apartment, barracks, frat house or territory, provocatively dressed or drinking, and the woman is raped it is no big deal to this mentality.  To many of both genders feel when this happens a woman is just asking for sex and rape does not happen under these circumstances. This attitude has always existed over the years, and continues being the attitude of to many.

Etiquette stated years ago, and perhaps still does,”One should never speak of politics, sex, or religion while in mixed company.”  Although I believe we have developed too casual of an attitude towards good manners, I do believe that not talking about politics, sex, or religion has left too many of us brain-dead on the issues that should matter and be discussed by all of us.  When we say the subject bores us then we are the ones who lose.  This post discusses all three subjects.

Allow me to tell you,the not so uncommon stories of its’ day in regards to women and rape.   I change the names and do not name the locations but I will not tell anything but the facts in the telling of these three stories. The names or locations are not important as these stories took place across our Nation in Jane and John Does and in anywhere U.S.A. during the era in which I write, along with years in advance of the same.

One generation does not often tell these kinds of stories from previous generations because it has to often been bred into the older generations to keep secrets in the past, or perhaps with time memory does get lost, behind both denial and disease.I begin from the truth of my own memory, that is still well-preserved. I Thank You for that Dear Lord, as I also inherited the mouth to tell the truth! Way back when there were the Landers Sisters writing and publishing the Nations problems, I was nicknamed Ann Landers since both men and women felt comfortable in telling me things that they would not even tell their husbands or wives.

1. It was the Spring of 1959 and an eighth grade girl ,who was rumored to  have been molested by a family member, was dating a young man,and together they had sex, previously,to the young girl attending a keg party with highschool athletes.  She was severely gang raped that night, as a result of drinking at the party.  No local lawyer, would take her case. The young victim had a wealthy aunt who lived 75 miles distance from the town, who could afford to pay for a lawyer, so they were able to hire an out-of-town lawyer.

When the case came before the judge, the victim’s boyfriend had been rounded up and forced to acknowledge that he had sexual relations with the girl who was the victim in this story.  The Judge threw the gang rape case out of Court and his finding stated,”No young man much less young boys could be held responsible for rape when the young girl in question, had previously de-flowered herself and was drinking alcohol under age.”Nothing was said about the young boys drinking illegally,of course.

2. In the Winter of 1964 a Catholic Priest, who the Church knew had a History of molesting young women, was given dispensation from duty as a Parish Priest and instead sent on the rounds of filling in as a speaker while conducting retreats in Convents and All Girls Catholic boarding Schools.  The same happened during this time with Priests celebrating retreats in all Boys Schools, when they had a history of molesting young boys.  The Catholic Church has come clean about their history but so many other Private Schools and Colleges are still denying that this still continues in their schools.  The Penn State Coach is NOT an uncommon story but just one of many.

3.  Going back to my farthest memory, any Sports player or Coach who brought fame to their sports program whether it was highschool, college, or the pros, were entitled to take anything they wanted to take, regardless of the size of the Town, City, or Religious affiliation. If the athlete is part of the team but not a star player then they will be used as the fall guy for the stars to remain clean. Unless it was burglary, where a Store refused to drop charges but in most cases even they could be bought off, if the athlete was a star and changed his ways.  Most Teams, while traveling elsewhere to play outside of their own town or City will have a team of scouts scouting out the local scene for a Party for them to return to.  These Parties since the 1960’s have both girls of questionable morality as well as virgins rounded up to attend.

Highschool girls have always been amongst the attendees of both sports and fraternity parties. It may be cool to a 16-year-old virgin, or not, to think they look older than they do and to go ahead and drink but when these girls do, it excuses the boys from showing the girls, respect. To many believe that when a girl says “NO” they are only teasing and instead they really want sex.  Boys have been told for generations that some girls need more convincing and when they say “No”, they really mean yes. Dress and drinking in women has always been grounds for rape, if they get drunk or even if drugs have been placed in their drinks, at these parties. I certainly do not accept that this mentality has ever been right but pretending we have not only tolerated it but promoted it for generations, makes it even more deplorable now when we deny the same.

A woman or young girl who is unconscious from drugs or alcohol has never been hands off in the minds of some boys and men and to pretend that this behavior does not happen or has not happened in the past is just another lie of the “Good Old Boy System.” I do not deny that there are some girls whose morality can make some mens’ behavior, pristine, but until we accept that prostitutes are raped, then we deny reality.

We fail women and our sisters alike, when we hold all women responsible for the behavior of a few.  All women have always been held responsible for those few women; where as all men and their behavior has been excused because of the behavior of the few women, who would set up men and yell “rape.” Rape is as unpleasant for most women to have to divulge the details and to relive the rape in a Court of law, regardless of their background, as it is for a man to get his penis removed, and yet we have always blamed victims of rape, for causing rape. Women, not men, are raped again by our judicial system.

Regardless, if it is a house party or a frat house across America the boys and men of the crowd are egged on to feel that rape is justified because “Good Girls” would not be there drinking if they didn’t want sex, has always been the mentality of the “Good Old Boy System”This mentality has existed in the “bad boys” as well as the Sports teams going back at least to the 1950’s when I first heard the stories told to me by the girls who had been raped.  Going to a man’s house or apt. under the guise of having a cup of coffee or to listen to his music, has existed for just as long, as a reason for rape.  It doesn’t have to be alcohol and to pretend that it does is only promoting the same lies. I’m sure those older than myself will tell my readers the same statement of fact, if they care to be honest with their grandchildren.

For a bunch of right-wing Republican men and the media that backs them,to feign ignorance or to act flabbergasted at the same while they continue to deny women, that this has been and remains the mentality amongst the “Good Old Boy System,” for centuries, sickened me in the Republican elections this year.  The fact that the media is now pointing a finger at Steubenville,Ohio, as being small town and unique in their cover up of the most recent rape being broadcasted, leaves me equally sick.

No one who has ever served as a cheerleader or been part of the popular or un-popular group could not possibly have attended highschool and had a successful Sports team, without knowing that this behavior took and takes place whether they were or are girls or boys.  The mentality that allows whole communities to protect rape and the behavior and mentality that broadcasts,” That these women deserve to be raped”,comes from a background in which we began early, hearing these stories as always being the fault of women. Too many women who serve on Juries are even worse than male juries when it comes to pointing a finger at the rape victims. To many times the lives of all boys, girls, and women who are raped, are destroyed by the men and women who protect these lies.

To deny that as a fact, has to make all of us ask,”Just how far has America slipped into denial?’  Will we deny that 67 Republican Tea Party members attempted to hold up funding for the Hurricane Sandy victims while FEMA was saying they were going broke and could not pay back the families who had paid into their flood Insurance?

Will we remain in denial of the fact that 183 Republican Congressmen and Senators could have cared less if it cost the middle class 100s of thousands of jobs, if we had gone over the fiscal cliff?  Did we elect them because their ideology is more important to us, than are our children and elderly, who will go hungry or without effective medical care? Will we all do better living on the Republican and the N.R.A. ideology that makes us feel unsafe without a gun in our homes even though a third of all deaths of children result as our having a gun in our homes. Will their ideology make us a better Democracy if we cannot provide for our families?

Does the N.R.A. lobbying the Republican Congress, who followed through on their bidding, to disallow funding to the Disease Control Center, make us feel even safer against Disease? If this sounds like a stupid analogy to those of you who protect the Republican Congress, rape, and guns, then just think of what you, yourselves, must sound like to the rest of the World!

Will we keep denying the fact that 50 some economists outside of Washington are saying that the only thing that is stagnating the American Economy is the 67 Tea Party members voting against the needs of the people along with the far right in Congress, who clearly want to see government go broke before they serve the needs of our elderly? Even Wall Street has joined the side of the Democrats on the damage being done to Business growth and jobs by the uncertainty of the Republican Congress. How much more can we deny until denial renders us all brainless when it comes to human decency and common sense?

I ask you,”Are we now going to pass the blame on to a bunch of kids in Steubenville,Ohio, for doing what men have always done or are we going to finally acknowledge the injustice of it, ALL! The guilty in Steubenville needs to be prosecuted along with others in our Nation.  I certainly do not mean to make allowances for the people responsible for such an ugly crime in Steubenville, Ohio, but it is our Nation’s problem. We all must take responsibility for denying these problems have always existed and still do exist.

We begin by eliminating the mindset that allows us to remain in denial, to the point that those amongst us simply accept it as “Just being the way it has always been,” before another election brings in more of the same mentality that cripples us as a Democracy. To accept it as being the way it is, has always been a second crime of humanity, against both our children and women. Those who tell us they want to go back to the 1950’s morality are lying to all of us about the truth that existed then just as it does today.

I warn all parents to think twice when they think popular,”is all that,” because a cheerleader and a popular girl are twice as likely to be raped than is a less popular girl. These girls also peak early just as the ball players do, and their best memories are as children or in highschool.  They learn ,too often, to settle for less and have a far greater chance of becoming pregnant as teenagers.  The “nerds”, on the other hand, have far greater statistics when it comes to those who go on to challenging careers following a College education and happy and contented lives.  If we parents cannot consider long-term results as a priority in our lives, then how can we expect those younger than ourselves to have common sense?

When we set up our own children to continue under the system that many of us tried to stop, we punish our children for the sins of the parents.” When we lack common decency, our children lack the same.  When we make everything about ourselves then our children do as well. When we as adults deny truth of fact and our children are raised on the same, we create the monster that often leads to more half-truths and false accusations against the victims of our Society.

Ultimately the same mentality leads to an increase failure in families and a bigger concern of increased crime in children at a much younger age. We cannot deny that the viciousness of our youth crimes are not increasing with the mentality that blames the victims over the perpetrators. As a Society brain washed in gun ownership our children have emerged as the losers. We need to hold both parents responsible for the failure of the child while we increase our endeavors to spot and treat both mental illness and drug addiction as the diseases that they are.  We need to give trained professionals who recognize the need for early intervention and parents the ability to get the help these children need through our Court Systems.

Those who claim family values would not need to talk about family values, if they had any.  Conversation along the lines of family values or the worsening of morality ultimately gives our Churches a bad name for failing at their jobs. The Conservative right is doing a bang up job of destroying Religion along with the Republican Tea Party, when they are not doing it to themselves. When questionable and charismatic Religion preaches the “Prosperity Gospels” while bleeding money from the poor and middle class and then blame the poor and middle class for their own poverty due to a lack of Faith, it is time we all voice our outrage. It takes the voice of the people to stand up to the injustices taking place and have taken place under our noses for generations. It begins with placing the emphasis on the right priorities without attacking the victims.

It never solves anything to talk when we need to be acting to stop the mentality in all of the new generations while charging those,” who do not get it”,in a Court of Law.  The mentality of,”Boys will be Boys,” has always laid at the root of the corruption in morality, since the beginning of mankind. If we want to make a difference, then we must begin today in telling the younger generations, who are our future, the ugly truth of yesterday.

To tell our grandchildren that children and women experienced a kinder gentler time in History, is and always has been a lie. Any adult who refuses to accept reality, needs to also accept that they are jeopardizing the future of their children and grandchildren, when they choose denial of the facts, over the truth. When we know better then we need to do better as a Society and as a Nation of laws.

To blame Steubenville alone is ludicrous, because if we leave them carrying the bag for what has been wrong for generations, around the World, we leave all of our children unprotected against rape, guns, and our own stupidity.  For the sake of our children, we must begin with changing the mentality, that we have allowed to go on.  We can no longer deny our own behavior and motives when technology shows us the truth and refuses to tolerate lies.
