Too often we turn to our Nation and expect its leaders to meet our demands, instead of remembering the words of John F. Kennedy, when he spoke them,”Ask not what our Country can do for you, but what you can do for our Country.”

Although it is true, that we have elected officials who do very little for the majority of our citizens, in comparison to the tax credits and corporate welfare handed out to the wealthy, by the GOP side of the aisle, the poor turn outs of Democrats during the midterm elections almost guarantees them the control of Congress and an equal amount of control of the Senate. The grassroots movement during the Obama years should not remain just an inspiration to all of us, but rather a constant held up by all Americans.

Gone are the days when the American people reached 18 and became responsible for the requirements mandatory as members of the military draft, no one has asked Americans to conserve or use stamps constricting or limiting their diet,or to contribute equipment needed to fulfill the needs of our tasks, or donate the  cast iron toys from our children’s toy chest, since Workd War 11. We are asked nothing more of our Nation beyond what we choose to contribute of our time, pay our taxes, and to vote.  That one responsibility of voting, belongs to each of us regardless of race, creed, gender, or color.

It’s sometimes very difficult for some to reach their voting polls, and will be made even worse by the efforts of the GOP to make it so,today, and especially in prime minority districts, but without your votes Americans lose what has always made us great, and that is the diversity of our people. The more we refuse to pay the price for freedom, the more the GOP under the guidance of Donald Trump, is prepared to take it from all of us. Please make voting not only your right but also your responsibility in November, as we remember what it is that we can do for our Nation!

I have no doubt, as much as we get upset about politicians, most people who will show up to vote will do so based on the propaganda and lies that come out of the media mouths of such people like Sarah Palin,Sean Hanity,Rush Limbaugh, and the majority of the Fox News team in general.

When we add the promises never kept by the GOP candidates and PR politicians, who have been everywhere from town hall meetings, meet and greets, and done media time paid for by the Koch Brothers and their cronies, we can all be certain no one has told the voter who they court, the truth yet. Nor will those who vote for the GOP majority have taken time as a majority to search for the truth before they vote. Instead they will show up to vote on nothing more than propaganda and false hope.

How much of that is both the fault of the Democrat Party who never confront the onslaught of the GOP lies but add some of their own promises that they, themselves, will never be able to keep? Why doesn’t the Democrat PR teams do as an effective job at exposing the lies and the propaganda, as does the Christian Coalition and the Conservatives do in promoting it?

Like it or not, the conservatives do have a far better organized machine in place when it comes to selling their lies, than does the Democrats do in exposing their lies. If the predictions are correct, then the tea party is once more going to gain heavy inroads into both our State legislatures and take over control of the Senate as well.

How much responsibility do we the Democrat voter need to take for not showing up at the election polls to vote in midterm elections? The Social media is almost entirely flooded by the paid for hate, lies, and propaganda of the conservatives. Don’t too many on our side of the aisle simply let it past instead of refuting their lies?

Do both we and our candidates let the opposition campaigns win when we and they do or say nothing to combat it? We have almost all the facts on our side where history shows that budgets get balanced under Democratic leadership and our economy and job market improves, under the leadership of the Democrat Party. So why don’t both the Party and we,promote those facts more,in an effort to confront their lies? Why have generations of Democrats allowed the Republican lies convince the American public that Republicans do better in these areas?

Vote Democrat on November 4th. Our future depends on it!

I’m writing this in response to a complaint filed on my blog,by a person who was actually attempting to run their spam past me. I too recognize the mistakes made, primarily in the beginning of my writing, and I blanch just a little myself.  I began writing my blog to warn people of the encroaching problems and half truths that were accompaning the Tea Party candidates, in 2009.  I knew their real goal was to prevent Obama care from happening.

I had no doubt, what their mission was nor who was financing them, since much of what was being said had eerie overtones from both the Joe McCarthy and John Birch Society days.  I knew  Grover Norquist, was an enthusiastic supporter,of both, and no one in the Republican Party got past Grover.

I hadn’t written for years, seriously,as the majority of my endeavors up to that point were spent in research, study, and oil painting.  I still have an occasional mistake, but I feel the message is more important than grammar correctness.  If you disagree with me,then I request that you not burden yourself to lower your higher grammatical standards, over my own.  My attempt is to bring common sense back to the voter or to offer self help or guidance.  I don’t now,nor did I ever profess to be,a teacher of grammar or spelling correctness

To those who share my concerns of what the religious right and conservative right, paid for by the Koch Brothers in the name of Tea Party Patriotism and Christian values, is doing to our States and in Washington,I urge you to vote. It saddens me when they are nothing more than a Trojan Horse to hide in,while they deny Americans their Constitutional rights, outside of their own,”Good Old Boy” system.

The dollars are into unheard of amounts that they are spending to spread falsehoods and propaganda against their competition, and they must be stopped, while the people still have the ability to do so.  Vote November 4th,for the future of the next generations that will follow us,or for your own futures to be pulled from the slavery they are attempting to bind you in,to better serve the needs of the white male and their favored Corporate and Oil Refinery Billionaires. A tragedy is taking place in our Nation and it must be stopped beginning with the mid-term elections, when turn out is statistically low. Only we can stop it!

For those who have not been aware of the inaction in Congress to do anything, which I doubt there are many, the Republicans have sent Obama care to the Supreme Court to rule it unconstitutional only to have been proven wrong and it is now the law.  The Congressional Body has a lawful duty and were sworn into Congress to uphold the law. They instead have voted to either defund Obama care by holding the Country hostage or voted to repeal Obama care over 40 times while doing nothing else but denying food stamps and protecting the taxes of the 1%.  They have also increased pork spending to their State Constituency in marked increased spending, while campaigning on being fiscal conservatives and budget conscious.

Obama care is already saving premium costs and health care costs in the States where is has been adopted at even a remarkable surprise to those who favored Obama care.

The Republicans were out in mass force with their town hall meetings telling, all who attended why Obama care was disastrous to all of us, before it even passed the Senate and Congress.  The reason there is so much distrust against Obama care is because these same Conservative Republicans have tried for three decades to prevent the funding of all programs that were initiated by Roosevelt, Truman, and Eisenhower and to add Obama care only prevents them from moving ahead with turning Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and farm subsidies over to the private sector thereby driving up the cost to all of us.

Because the government Insurance company is 7 times larger than all the other insurance companies combined, it can and does buy medical care at a markedly decreased rate than what private insurance can provide.  By buying healthcare in a far larger block than what is possible by private insurance, The savings in premiums to us, along with the increased healthcare benefits we receive helps us, the premium payers. It drives down the costs private insurance can afford to charge for their premiums while stopping the cutting back on the coverage we get.

Private Insurance Companies and the Companies who provide Insurance have gotten by for years by raising premium costs and charging the workers more for poorer coverage while offering the Companies they insure incentives to use their insurance.  Obama care makes this obsolete and instead offers complete coverage to all Americans including those who have pre-existing disease.

Add to the Conservative drive and scare tactics against Obama care 40 Tea Party Anarchists in Congress who want Religion in control of government then we have a Republican Party made up of dictators who refuse to raise taxes on the wealthy, fund Obama care, pay the bills for the last two years, and “frankly, My dear”, do not give a damn,” if government shuts down. They all spout the same gobbly-gook to the contrary, of course.

Any agenda that comes to them from the President is automatic reason for them to do nothing but fight against it ever passing, while lying about why it would be a disaster to our Country, simply because it came from our President and Democratic Senate. The Tea Party only made the far right in the Republican Party even worse than what it was already as they then became controlled by an Antagonistic Conservative Party because they want nothing more than anarchy and are playing strictly to their constituency.

The Republican Party is in complete disarray and can agree on nothing other than they all agree on making sure that the taxes are not raised on those who can most afford it, minimum wage does not go up, and Obama care does not pass.  Their greatest fear at this point is if Obama care does pass and we the people all reap in the rewards of the same, they are  going to look like the fools we already know they are but also it will make their attempts to defund and turn Social Security and  Medicare over to private Insurance, through vouchers, that more difficult.

Anyone who thinks it is the fault of President Obama and the Democrats who initiated and passed affordable healthcare, to agree to continued delay tactics or defunding of Obama care and they should now agree with the Republican anarchists and dictators with their refusal to pay for Obama care, then I have to ask what triggers your thinking?

May I ask you if you seriously believe delaying Obama care for another year won’t mean just the same argument by these same Republicans to delay again for another year will not come up a year from now?

Do you really believe Companies like UPS won’t continue to hide behind the excuse of Obama care and cut your hours down or refuse to carry your spouse or children on your health care program?

Do you believe that 10,114 people will not die this next year because they could not get health care insurance?  Do you really think your autistic, asthmatic, cancer or heart patient child or a child who suffers a serious accident or your cancer ridden or dementia parent or yourself, will not reach their/your cap and be dropped from health care due to pre-existing health conditions, if Obama care is delayed for another year? If you don’t think any of this can happen to you in  a years time then how realistic are you?

Any of you who do not think a year matters, need to learn more about what Obama care does offer for those who suffer from pre-existing health problems and how much it currently cost you/us in premium increases because people who suffer from debilitating diseases and injury get dropped and cannot get coverage.

Do you really think that these same Democrats who spent hours on bringing healthcare relief to the people so they did not have to die or remain without insurance are now going to defund it while agreeing with the Republicans to refuse to pay for birth control including the morning after pill for rape cases, and believe that neither are at stake?

How does a President negotiate on another delay or with a body of Republicans that cannot even agree amongst themselves and when they do they attack every effort made by President Obama, to lessen the strain on the middle class, by refusing to vote on any agenda he puts forward?

These Republicans only want to blame rather than agree. To accept such an onslaught as the Republicans have attempted against our Constitution, is a slap in the face of Democracy.  The sooner we all understand that truth the sooner we will replace them with those who do want to solve the problems of Washington, in 2014 and 2016 and for now hold them responsible for the shutting down of our government and the calamity that will cost to our economy the longer government remains shut down, not to mention the lost of income to those who protect our Country in our military and security.

If we do not blame the Republicans for such insane actions and inactions, when they themselves have been lying to the American people and using scare tactics about Obama care for four years, then who should we blame?  Ourselves for continuing to elect them?  It’s a thought:)

I have always identified myself as a Liberal.  The fact that America does need to do air-strikes in Syria to help our Allies and I support it, does not change my identity as a Liberal.

In my book, there are two kinds of Liberals.  Those who believe,” it is not our problem,” when it comes to war or air strikes, and call themselves a liberal even though the very definition of that statement itself, erases all doubts that they are not a Liberal; and The genuine Liberal, as I am, who sees any person or people on earth at an unfair disadvantage , and asks ,” If not me, then who?”

Is there no significance to those marchers on the street and those politicians in Washington these are our allies who are not just asking for our help, but they are begging for it?  Never mind upholding our own credibility and International law, do we only care when it is a matter of our oil or business interests  and otherwise lining up dead bodies of Syrian children “Is not our Problem?”

I am not very proud of the politicians in Washington or those who are making professional posters while they march in the Streets right now.  I don’t give a damn if it is Charlie Reagle who is against the strikes.  God knows Charlie, just because he is a Liberal Democrat is not always right and in this matter he is dead wrong! President Obama didn’t just get out of bed one morning and say “Let me See, who will we aim airstrikes at today.”  Anyone with a heart and vision can look at the Obama Team and see it in the faces of all of these men, they really wrestled over having to make their decision. A record of a mans’ past always tells the truth about him, today.  They all have records of getting out of wars, and are not planning for a war but a strike.

This is not Iraq, this is only to even out the playing field for our allies.  When I hear the politicians in Washington say, “Oh it is just gas and it’s against International law but no big deal,” my stomach flips and my mouth drops.  Do we no longer have the hearts of Americans who believe when duty or our Allies call, we come?”

To ask for diplomacy when the Obama Administration has tried doing just that for 2 years, and no one is listening because a tyrant is in charge of Syria and protected by Russia, while Putin struts, it then becomes time to, “step up and man up.” To attempt nothing else is the knee jerk response of cowards as brave men go where others fear to tread,  Will sarin gas still mean nothing if we delay to the point the only option we have is to send  our own men in masks and boots on the ground? Do we deny that the code and history of the United States is and has always been bravery, when others fail to show up? Do we just bury those brave men who preceded us in graves and forget the History of our Nation?

If we do not go in with air strikes and help our allies we leave the door open for every terrorists in the World to enter when our allies and friends like Jordan,Lebanon’s and Turkey’s resources are already stretched and they are vulnerable.

Where are our Conservative Congress members who less than just  a year ago backed Mitt Romney in his continual speeches of our need to do air strike in favor of our ally and friend Israel? Was that just another one of their many ruses to alienate the American public against President Obama’s call for diplomacy then, as we expected, and now they are proving it was nothing more than “Hot Air”? Do we not have to defend against the take over of our military, intelligence capabilities, and air strip facilities in the region? Opinions of what can happen and speculations in the face of disaster, are nothing more than the weapons of losers.  Calmer heads have and will plan for every eventuality.  To deny that reality is just another cop-out by those who refuse to accept that there are no reasons of value when we fail our allies.

Terrorists will go in to any Nation and feed their hungry and offer aid and when we leave our allies forced to take the help of terrorists because no one else came to help, then we really stand alone.   Since when did United States draw a line between ourselves and our allies?

There were many against our going into World War 2, and The older Kennedy who was the Democrat base, refused to talk to Democrat Roosevelt when he made the decision to join the war, so we have been here before.  How much different would our own world have looked like today if that generation had refused to go with  their allies to defeat a mad man like Hitler, do we even dare to try to imagine? They committed to a full fledge war. President Obama is only talking about a few missiles.

Do we cower in fear over speculation if it does go bad as many feel might happen or do we not do as we have always done throughout our proud history of the Oldest and most refined Democracy in the World? Can we not trust todays military to act while we support them as a Nation and hope for the best and plan for the worse?  To do nothing out of fear of what can happen is a serious malady of our Leadership in the halls of Washington, as well as a severe insult to all the brave people who preceded and died for Democracy so the World could free itself of tyrants. Are we as a Nation not willing anymore to stand up for what is right? Do we now say with the best and most powerful military in the World we cannot trust the military to act when called on or to do their job? I ask again, do we now replace bravery with fear and speculation and if we do how long do we believe our own freedom will last?

Reaching out with air strikes does not open up Syria for terrorists taking over as much as it levels the playing field so the Syrian people can eventually go back home, and help take the drain off our allies. Terrorists at heart, are cowards.  They will be the first to leave when confronted with our or any military air strikes.  They like all other bullies will run or stay and die.  There are only those two kinds of terrorist for the most part.

There is enough money in the defense budget to pay for this strike.  The funds for defense have already been allocated. The Arab Nations that include Saudi Arabia and the Turks have offered to pay for the Air strikes as well as any troops willing to volunteer on the ground. They are willing to foot the entire bill, yet we hear how President Obama has no Countries willing to help. Nations from Canada to Poland to France including a total of 24 Nations and Organizations have said if there is proof of sarin, which is now undeniable by everyone, they would help where needed. As far as Iran saber-rattling when wasn’t Iran and Korea saber-rattling?  Do we really believe they will do less of it if we fail to, Man Up,” and refuse to help our allies?

We are not trying to replace one bad actor with another or one bad dictator with another, but only leveling the field  in favor of our allies to fight on after we leave. It is and still will be a civil war where they decide who comes and who stays.  We are only trying to enforce International law, while going when called to assist our allies.

For those who say and actually believe we haven’t support, “we can’t go it alone,” then I ask, “When did America refuse to stand alone if need be, for Humanitarian reasons and our allies?” We have had more offers of help than we can use so I am hearing every single argument against air strikes, and not one of them to date holds any water as far as our not standing with our allies in time of need or for humanitarian reasons, or because it will really be a mess if we wait into we are forced to act later, and we will be. I am not just picking up a poster to demand we  stay out of Syria like too many other of my fellow Liberals, but instead asking why not Syria ?  What I am finding  are all the arguments to stay out are based on nothing of solid value or reasoning that represents the America that we and our allies could always before count on, “to do the right thing.”

If our not helping is our pay back for those who failed to come to our aid after 9/11,  are we now going to stoop to their level?  Do two wrongs make a right?  Are Americans now saying we are not going to stand up with and for our allies? The very definition of allies means we are not going in alone, we have their backs and they have ours  Do we still need Mother Britain or else we won’t do the right thing? Do none of the other offers of help and more who have promised help, not matter if Britain does not enter with us or is it just more excuses?

It is our place, our responsibility , and our credibility to stand along side of our allies in time of need and against tyranny.  The United States needs to honor their commitment.  We are not some rogue Nation who rattles  swords and talks tough, we act when it is the right thing to do and when Nations start lining up dead children.

We are a proud Nation dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.  We have met on the battle field throughout our History to prove that no man stands alone to dictatorships who destroys their own people. When the American people along with our elected officials fail to understand what our responsibilities are when we are in possession of the largest and the best military in the World, and no ally will call and we will fail to come; then it is time that our elected officials swallow their fear and develop a spine and a back bone and stand up to protect our allies from tyranny and infamy. After all it is part of the oath of office, they all take when sworn in. “The only thing to fear is fear itself!”

Was George Zimmerman a want-to-be-cop? In my opinion he lived for the day that law enforcement would give him a chance to join the force.

I typically do not offer an opinion until after a jury comes in with a verdict but with all the speculation going on, “why not I offer an opinion as well.” I will precede forward with my own analogy and the reasons I believe as I do.

The facts are:

1. both sides agree that George Zimmerman was a member of Neighborhood watch. Those of us who are familiar with neighborhood watch understand when we sign up, we are instructed to simply report suspicious activity to the local law enforcement.

2. We are warned not to follow or try to apprehend the people or person we feel are out of place in our neighborhoods. We are warned against entering our own homes or unlocking or leaving our cars if we suspect suspicious activity in or near our vicinity and to report the same in our own neighborhood.

Furthermore common sense can tell us when George Zimmerman was told about a break in at his neighbors house by two African Americans, the actions of George Zimmerman were an attempt to solve the break-ins. Why else would he break all the rules that were taught him in the Neighborhood Watch Program, if not?

What we don’t know is if some law-enforcement officer encouraged George Zimmerman to take on the responsibility of arming himself and investigating the same or if George Zimmerman thought he could add a feather to his cap if he would find those who did break-in. Trayvon Marten was not one of them and that has been made clear.

We Know George Zimmerman took a College Course on profiling in relationship to being a law enforcement officer and his Professor said he got high marks even while George Zimmerman denied he knew anything about the same.

We understand that want-to-be-cops count into the thousands across our Nation. We know, as a general rule, these want-to-be-cops can and do make a pest out of themselves. Very rarely does one ever get admitted to law enforcement. These want-to-be-cops usually get assigned to the newbies to be let down gently. If they don’t take the hint they get chased out. Very rarely will one be granted a chance to try out as an officer.

These want-to-be-cops use words like perpetrator or suspects when they contact law enforcement, just as George Zimmerman did. You and I say things like, “I hope I am not over-reacting, but there is something suspicious going on in my neighborhood watch area, when we call in to report suspicious activity.

We also know the following:

1.We do know neither the defense team or the Prosecutors denied that George Zimmerman used language not typical of the lay person when placing his call to 911.

2. Zimmerman followed Trayvon after being told to stop by the 911 operator, both in the car and on foot.

3. We know George Zimmerman armed himself, even though to do so is against the rules of the Neighborhood Watch program.

4. We know George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin just as police officers profile people they suspect of possible crime.

Doesn’t our common-sense make it fairly easy to understand that these are all the actions of a want-to-be-cop?

To wear a hoody in the rain is just common sense. Haven’t we all turned around and walked backwards rather than have rain hit us in the face and don’t we also cut across when it is raining? Who amongst us can honestly say we have never looked in a window when the blinds aren’t pulled, just out of curiosity, while passing a home? Most of us do like to see how another home is furnished.

If you doubt me, I suggest you have an open-house and if you don’t find out the neighbors show up to snoop, you should be more surprised when they don’t than when they do. Trayvon’s behavior was pretty normal and not classified as odd by the majority view.

Going to the store to get candy and a drink at night time is not suspicious behavior either, but instead what most teenagers do. Remember we only have George Zimmerman’s word that any of this behavior, even happened.

It is a sad statement of fact when the only voice in a Court room is that of the defendant George Zimmerman, when he could simply have stayed in the car, not followed Trayvon on foot, or walked away when Trayvon ran to get away. How many chances did George Zimmerman need to have before using deadly force and chose not to? We should all be heart broken, by the results of George Zimmerman’s behavior and the law that allowed the end results to happen.

Shouldn’t the larger question be,” why was George Zimmerman out on patrol acting as a “Barnie Fife” if not to find African American males or if he was investigating a crime, knowing full well it broached both the ethics and rules of the Neighborhood Watch Program?

The only thing we do not know, if we listen to the defense team speak is; who was the aggressor in the case? They tried to convince us it was Trayvon Martin as it is the defense job to do so, if they are going to claim self-defense.

How can any of us not call on our own common sense and ask ourselves if being followed in the dark by someone so intent on doing so, as George Zimmerman was, that he first follows Trayvon in a car and then he gets out and follows Trayvon on foot, is not an act of aggression?

In my opinion what ever the jury decides, it was Trayvon Martin who was acting in self-defense whether he threw the first punch or not. Trayvon was clearly being harassed by a stranger who placed him under great fear of bodily harm.

I hope there isn’t a person who calls themselves a parent, who will argue that finding, knowing it could be their own child, tomorrow. Would you want your child followed both by car and on foot by a stranger only to have your child end up dead, and call it justice? Could you show half the class that Trayvon Martin’s parents have?

It is not a crime to follow anyone in America but it is an assault on common decency and a total lack of respect for humanity to do so, knowingly, under the conditions that George Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin. Sadly, stupidity is not a crime, either.

If George Zimmerman did not see his actions as harassment, which is a crime, then why did he behave as he did? Stupidity is also not a defense against the law. Would any of us leave our vehicle on a rainy dark night, if not to harass or to prevent forward movement of a person, especially after being told not to?

If we are acting in this manner because we think we can please law enforcement and inform on a possible link to a crime as an informer, because we want to be part of law enforcement, then wouldn’t it make more sense if we behaved as George Zimmerman did?

That is the bigger question, we all have to ask ourselves, honestly. Does everything have to be set aside or debated as law before our common sense and common decency tells us more than what we heard in this Court room in this case?

A jury, however, has to face the facts presented in the case. I know this was a difficult case to decide after it was presented. We do not have to use anything other than our own common sense.

I am the first to admit that all any of us can do is to speculate, since only George Zimmerman is left to tell what happened and inconsistencies all lay in his favor, when he speaks. Was George Zimmerman so desperate to join the police force that he saw giving law enforcement the lead they needed on the robberies and break-ins, in the neighbor hood, was going to give him a step-up into realizing his dream?

Was all, George Zimmerman, needed to break the case open for the police officers, in his mind, was an African American, he called a suspect, walking the Streets in the dark?

Was this going to be his ticket to helping solve the crimes in his own mind? Remember the only thing George Zimmerman wanted his wife to hear was, ” I shot someone.”

In my opinion this should have been the course taken by the prosecutors from the opening gate out. Not a single eye-witness saw the beginning or the finish and for the prosecution to begin with the eye witnesses who only saw snippets of what happened, instead of loading their case with the want-to-be-cop approach which George Zimmerman clearly was, they lost the jury before they could even establish their own case or bring forth the lack of DNA found on Trayvon Martin.

Had they began with the fact that George Zimmerman was the clear aggressor because he was out acting like a Barney Fife and taking the law into his own hands, they would have more likely have kept the jury understanding what it was that George Zimmerman did do wrong and what led to the fight in the first place. In my opinion the prosecution only added to the defense’s theory and played right into their hands.

Juries are lay people who are untrained in law and the presentation of the law to the juries is mind boggling at best. Research shows the vast majority of people form an opinion of another in the first 15 minutes of meeting someone. That also means the attention span of the majority of us last 15 minutes, as well. Any notes taken by the jury would simply be taken to back up the opinion they reached in the beginning stages of the trial.

When police and prosecutors work hand in hand in solving crime, rarely do prosecutors point a finger at police informers or possible police involvement nor do they leave open that possibility for the defense to investigate. Evidence in regards to wanting to be a cop or vigilante justice abounds in this case, by nothing more than the actions taken by George Zimmerman.

The Lead prosecuting attorney, failed to take this route, in my estimation, due to political pressure. Anyone who does not view this case as being purely political has not been paying attention to the entire case.

If the robberies and break-ins had been reported as having been done by Hispanics or Caucasians, or Asians, George Zimmerman would have behaved the exact same way towards anyone of them as he did towards Trayvon Martin.

I am so convinced of this, because I am convinced that George Zimmerman has all the traits of a want-to-be cop as well as he behaved exactly as a want-to-be-cop would behave. If he had stopped when told to by the 911 operator, I might feel differently.

Since George Zimmerman did not heed the advice of the 911 operator he is guilty of causing the death of Trayvon Martin, through no ones fault but George Zimmerman’s own. No one can deny, if George Zimmerman
had of taken the advice of 911,
Trayvon Martin, would still be alive.

With “Stand your ground laws” in 22 States, if these laws are not done away with immediately in the next elections, and George Zimmerman is not found guilty of ignoring the 911 operator and taking the law into his own hands, we are certainly going to see many more innocent people killed in America.

That is my opinion and I am sticking to it,regardless of what the jury says. If they find George Zimmerman “not guilty”, then I sincerely know this case will be appealed to a higher authority, even if it is not done on earth, but in Heaven.

Am I proud of myself for being so certain? No, I am not, but when it looks like a skunk, smells like a skunk, and walks like a skunk, I have learned not to let go of my gut instincts or the facts.

If I am wrong, my intuition along with my past history, also tells me I will pay the price for making a false judgment call based on years of my experience in human nature.

I hope I am wrong, because I never want to hear another case like this one again, in a court of law. As parents of a child, Trayvon Martin’s parents, YOU, have all the respect anyone can ever gain, from many folks who believe as I do. God Bless you and your loved ones, always.

I have tried to correct the grammatical errors in this post previously written by me but in doing so I have managed to take it entirely out of my own blog.  Suffice it to say, I neither have the time or the desire to rewrite the same but I will offer the jest of the same now.

Basically, I wrote that we women must also take responsibilities in the eroding of our own equality due to the often petty and jealous personality disorders that are often borned of the same negative views we hold towards each other.

Unless we quit judging others who have never walked in our shoes and know we will never walk in theirs, place higher expectations on ourselves and our children than what we wear or what we pay for a pair of shoes, and understand that without Feminists none of us would have choices as to if we worked in the home or out of it, then we will continue losing our right to equality.

We must all understand that women who have the right to choose their own lifestyle and destiny are all feminists.

Before feminists, women were mere chattel that belonged to their husbands and took orders from the same. To be a feminist, who cares and acts accordingly for the rights of all women to determine their own choices, is neither a heretic or a dirty word.

In 2013 we all need to understand the history of women prior to the passage of the “Equal Rights Amendment.” Too many States led by the GOP are once more placing it under attack and weakening the foundation that guarantees women equality and the right to choose.

As long as working Moms think that stay at home moms are both too lazy and ignorant or too pampered to work or the stay at home moms think the working moms are too selfish to make the sacrifices, then we will continue to have division in our own ranks.

When older women who are no longer of child baring age think they have a right to decide for a victim of rape or make a decision against abortion for a woman who will certainly die in child birth if she is not allowed the choice, then we will continue to have division in our ranks.

When women of influence and means misguidedly think the closing of Planned Parenthoods across the Nation, who offers affordable healthcare to the poor, have nothing to do with their or their daughters’ and grand daughters’ own future screenings and birth control choices and they say and do nothing, then we have division in our ranks

When women who have been abused learn to arm themselves while women who have not and a third of all children who die, die from guns in our homes and both groups of women are at opposite ends of the spectrum, then we will still have divisions in our ranks.

When too many women believe that women who choose career over child birth or a single life over marriage are eccentric or selfish, then we will find division in our ranks. The list is long and often petty in the ways we women do divide our own best interests and we do need to take responsibility for the same.

It does us all well to understand there are pertinent truths and necessary facts, regardless of how unpleasant they may sound, when it comes to solving the problems of inequality that still remains in America yet in 2013.

I do not deny that the “Good Old Boy” system has been front and center for generations in dividing us and helping turn us on each other in so many of the political, religious and work areas of our lives. We must accept, however, to rely more on our own intelligence, intuition, sense of fair play, and common sense in knowing that without our permission or vote, we can not be divided in our own unity towards sister-hood.

When we women are the biggest voting block in the Nation and the politicians often court us through dividing us, and sadly it is a fairly simple manner to do so, we must acknowledge our own role into why women are losing rather than gaining equality in America.

When women far out weigh men in numbers, education, and wealth but we are being denied equal rights by Conservative and Tea Party Mayors, Governors, Senators, and Congress elected members and all Republican Politicians  who support the GOP platform then isn’t something seriously wrong with the picture?

When we know full well that another election is just beyond the horizon in 2014, and these same politicians depend on our votes, then shouldn’t we be held responsible for not voting the GOP incumbents, who are running, all out of office?

Shouldn’t our common sense tell us, unless we are taken seriously as the major voting block in America by the Conservative and Tea Party majority, our right to equality will continue to erode? If we cannot do so for ourselves, then certainly we should be able to do so for our daughters and grand daughters.

Before we begin to criticize the fault in others, it would do us all well regardless of gender, to ask ourselves what it is we,ourselves, are doing right or wrong today?

When we worry less about what our neighbor does but join together in unity instead, without criticism, we often find the results are much more favorable for all of us.  Make it count and enjoy.

This has been previously published by me but it does us all well to be reminded in the current environment that our children need to be made aware that we adults are always fighting for their need to feel secure and safe.

Sadly there are too many adults who claim to be representing the best interest of our children while neglecting the most innocent amongst us. I will continue to post reminders, every once in awhile, just as I did this post ,previously, until we all know that all of our children are safe:

I’ve heard it for years now that “children are flexible” and I have always wondered about the truth in the belief. It is true that children are more accepting than adults. At least in the beginning years of their lives.

Watch children playing at a playground side by side and one can readily see their acceptance of each other. They play together by playing around each other without really communicating. They reach the same place at the same time and one will instinctly go under while one goes over or one will squeeze to the side or stand back and let another pass without ever communicating the direction that each will take.

It is only later, say in about the 9th year of their life that they appear to start noticing the differences between themselves. Much of the cruelty we see in children comes from the environment of their own homes and is spread through out the school grounds or on school buses. I doubt that acceptance and flexibility are the same. I believe that children effected by trauma are no different from adults who are effected by trauma. We see so many obese children, with some being diet related, but isn’t there also the possibilty that children are stuffing their feelings down with comfort food no different from what adults do?

I know adults who have no memory of their childhood because they have learned to block it. Is it a learning that started in childhood where they began blocking trauma so have no memory of it as adults? Do quiet children who go off and play while saying little to nothing of their trauma as accepting as what we are made to believe. If so why do the symptoms of the same often wait to express themselves in suppressed memories through health problems decades later?

The medical field sees children younger and younger who are suffering from anxiety, stress related illness, psychosis, and other ailments considered adult related in the past. The arguments stand, “it is just a better ability to diagnose earlier.”

If so is that a symptom of children suffering their traumas in silence in years past? Children go into denial and start fanatasizing a better life for themselves, where abuse is present, and isn’t that in truth the same behavior we see in adults when their life doesn’t work according to what their plans for themselves were in their youth? Did this behavior begin in childhood and then just got set aside temporarilly when things appeared to be working for the adults who then switched to denial to justify why their dreams did not come true, later?

If children are so flexible then why do children of alcoholics grow up to be alcoholics? Why do children of abusers grow up to abuse? Why do children of drug users grow up to use drugs? Why do children of batterers grow up to batter? Why do sexually abused boys sexually abuse as men while sexually abused girls become promiscuous?

Many times there are a great deal of withdrawal symptoms in form of social developement in all of these children. It is not unusual that parents instead determined their child to be shy, emotionally immature, or sadly too often, “they are just happy normal children” when that is so far from the truth. I understand that none of these patterns of behavior are set and true in all children of parents that behave badly. Sometimes the children will actually use their parent’s behavior as a pattern as to how not to behave. We refer to it as learned behavior or environmental but isn’t it also possible that it is as a result of trauma in infancy or childhood and in truth our children are not so flexible, after all?

I maintain that unless, we as a Society, get over the idea that children are flexible and start paying more attention to them, when they do speak, that we will ultimately be inviting government into every facet of our lives. If we want laws that protect us, we must first begin with our children in order to eliminate the need of government in lesser degrees, in our lives later.

The long and short of laws and government is that if “we the people” are doing our job and accepting our responsibility then there is never a need for government to intrude into our lives. My experience has always been that government is an asset to all of us who pay our taxes, bills, take care of what we can afford and follow the laws of our States. When we can’t we should never be ashamed for asking our government for a hand up because many others are just a pay check away, themselves, from having to ask government for help. I have never seen the person who complained about their taxes going to the hungry who did not have to learn that lesson as well.

As long as children continue to be used as pawns amongst divorcing parents. Ignored, neglected, or bought off by the self-centered. Severely abused by the irresponsible, spiteful, or mean spirited parents, adults, or care givers or left to go hungry by the narcissistic personalities amongst us; then we are opening up the flood gates of government to move into all of our living rooms.

If any of those words seem to be harsh then consider yourself what words you would use when it comes to abusing an innocent child, neglecting a child because a parent ignores the child’s emotional needs over their own, or an adult believes children with less opportunity should be left to die of starvation? We all must realize our own responsibility or take a position on how to deal more effectively with the most innocent amongst us, if we truly consider ourselves human. If Americans cannot be grateful and give back then WHO? Luckily, most Americans do understand and realize that their own success has been as a result of generosity and opportunity.

Too often over-worked and under paid Children Protective Services only return these children to dysfunctional homes so they are offended again. When I think of some of the foster care homes that I have known, personally, I shudder. I do understand that in many cases they are a God-send over the abusive homes many of these children come from, just as well. As a Nation we should not have to be dealing with children in adult Courts on charges of murder. We need to do better for our children.

I leave it up to all of us, Do we really think that children are flexible or should we as a community be doing more to help or do we need to continue with the “mind my own business” theory that has ran the way of thinking for generations? The other thought that I will leave everyone with is,”How can we acknowledge that neglect, abuse and battering is happening” as long as we deny that it happened to us?

Doesn’t the responsibile amongst us have an obligation to help those who won’t take responsibility, when it comes to child care or do we wait until government enters our living rooms and then gripe about government being there?

Doesn’t it ultimately, become the responsibility of all of us to have less rather than more government in our lives? It is amazing how many of us never do have to deal with government once we pay our fair share of taxes, live according to law, and only deal with government when we collect our earned pension, GI Benefits, or Social Security checks. It isn’t like government is breathing down the backs of those who give of their time and good fortune, show children our love and develop responsibility through example, while obeying the laws of our States and Nation.

Why are so many Conservatives and Tea Party members, today, so disgruntled over healthcare for those who most need it, housing and Agricultural food surpluses provided for the homeless and hungry, early childhood education that often does mean the difference between pass or fail in our children? Why do they profess family values while they attempt to eliminate the size of government that provides for these needs if they are living the same moral convictions that is common in all of the rest of us? Just something to ask ourselves.

Common sense should tell all of us: We do need to put the rules of common decency first for all of our children, if we are to eliminate me first and only as in selfishness, rudeness, crimes, and all other ills of Society before these same children grow up to become adults. Bringing more children into the World to be further mistreated is not the answer for anything other than for using birth-control, unless we are all willing to help those who are already here.

We see and hear every hour on the hour and every day of the week in conversations and on the news, where perhaps our children were not so forgiving and flexible after all, and it shows once they become adults.

When we can have so many great and positive results in children as we do,(Yes including in gay, loving, and single parent homes, where parents compromise). Isn’t it way past time we all maintain the same security for all of our children through better laws to safeguard them and those who fall through the holes?

Why don’t we demand that our elected officials take the fact that 1/3 of all children in America die from guns in the home, while one child dies of hunger or hunger related diseases every 5 minutes in America, and education is the way out of poverty through affordable cost, for the truth and facts that they represent?

Will we vote accordingly to protect our children? Will we ever accept total responsibility of all of us, as an obligation to the safety and well being of all children, if not in name then in concern; whoever they are and wherever they live? It begins with one person at a time until we hear the voices of justice rising from all of the adult population amongst us. Too many have relied too long on the belief, ” Children are Flexible.”

In my post entitled “Ted Nugent is a Coward and An Idiot”, my opening paragraph made no bones about my stooping to the level of name calling but when the shoe fits, I stated “I am no different from the masses when it comes to doing so.”

When an American citizen of privilege such as Tea Partier Ted Nugent, stops just short of telling an organized body steeped in hatred towards our President,” that justice and assassination are the same”, after acknowledging he deliberately went to the bathroom in his pants for a month straight to get out of the draft, then that person in any book should be called an idiot and a coward regardless of the Party affiliation of our President and who the acting President is in The United States of America.  I do not believe that to be a long shot in opinion amongst any of us who are truly dedicated to American Decency and Democracy.

I normally do not answer my critics but anytime I get a chance to educate the American public I will take time to do so.  Douglas Wagaman on face book said in regard to my post of the above title and I quote it here:  “I had to laugh when I read this piece.  The author complains about hate, racism, and rhetoric while using the term “redneck” over and over to describe the people with different beliefs and values.  Nicely done. Lol “

When I read that quote by Douglas Wagaman on Face book, I smiled to myself and thought,” clearly Douglas and friends do not know any true Rednecks.” If I hadn’t of spent so many years, myself, living around bordering States and in the vicinity of and amongst true Rednecks and listening to their conversations while watching their behavior, I would have thought exactly as you did, Douglas. Every time I tried to get an individual who promoted the negative views I reported in my post to understand a different perspective all I ever heard back was, ” I am a Redneck and proud of it.” I would estimate over the years, I made that attempt close to a hundred times on at least as many different people or maybe even more.

I am not a shy violet who is afraid to take on controversy. Since I had the experience and heard their beliefs repeated endlessly I am able to clearly define them as Rednecks, since that is how they wish to define themselves.

In other parts of the Nation people who have had the experience of associating with extremists views may be just as justified in calling the same mentality, who profess racism or gay bashing, as Tea Party or Patriot militants, white extremists, or any number of names who would represent similar views. Terminology just like our diet and food favorites vary greatly in the different cultures across America. I should have known better and explained clearer the definition of a true redneck in my neck of the woods.

These many differences in how we view ourselves and the World becomes very prominent to all of us who do make a point of exposing ourselves to different cultures and beliefs while educating ourselves in the Diversity across America. None of us will ever get it 100% correct, myself included, as the differences of our experiences that teach us remain personal with too many amongst us, but at the very least, 100% of us can commit to the efforts of understanding the diversity that is America and the foundation of Democracy.

When others would define Democracy, with empathy for all, as Socialism and place billboards and handmade signs throughout areas in bordering States, in my neck of the woods, then the least any of us can do is to educate ourselves on the value system of Democracy while our troops continue to place themselves in harms way for the betterment of all of us to live free of the practice of such self serving discourse. Democracy committed to a better life for all is not now nor will it ever be, Socialism.

I, myself,am willing to bet the great majority of Americans would agree; America was never intended to be a Country with a ruling class of elitist served by the lower working class of workers minus an entire middle class. That idea was promoted and pushed during the 1800’s during the Industrial Revolution of the North.

The Rockefellar bosses hired Pennington Guards to shoot and kill any Union organizers and workers who tried to come in and help the workers’ circumstances and wages improve. They knew full-well without government to protect the people they could never be held responsible nor would such behavior be called a crime by the elitists who ruled America at the time. It would not be until after World War 2 that America would have a viable middle class thanks to the GI program and Democrats Roosevelt’s and Truman’s Administrations.

As the size of that middle class now dwindles and more people fall into poverty in America, due to those who would promote the idea or misconception of reality that a just health care system and wages are Socialism, while using propaganda and scare tactics, the majority of us do feel; it is a double disgrace to both the American people and those who served and continue to serve in the name of Democracy.

When we become complacent ourselves and start believing that paid for and earned rights are not our rights often paid for with dollars, blood, sweat, sacrifice, and tears but instead accept the politicians beliefs to use those rights,( in an effort to disgrace us) in the negative connotations of the word “entitlements”, then all Americans lose. Just as the John Birch Society who ran Barry Goldwater’s campaign in the 1960s believed Democracy was not the intent of our Founding Fathers so do many who call themselves Patriot groups along with many in the Tea Party, today, believe the same rhetoric.

Grover Norquist was an aide under Barry Goldwater and a big supporter of the John Birch Society. Today he has a think tank that he funnels money through to Conservative and Tea Party candidates. No Republican can get elected without first going through Grover Norquist. Every Republican must sign a pledge not to raise taxes on the elitists or lose their bid for office but Grover gave his o.k. to raise taxes on the middle class. Without our minds, hearts and eyes wide open the future of America does lie in the hands of those who would appoint themselves as elitists. How many of us think that anyone but the Conservative and Tea Party members and their paid for media were really upset when IRS decided to check out these groups tax free exemption?

We fought the biggest and most deadliest war, in our history, called the Civil War, for Democracy. We have throughout History lost many of our brave young men and women in defense of oppression against our allies around the World. Few Families, other than perhaps many of the elitists, have been spared from either serving in the name of Democracy or suffered deaths of War. The Civil War established that America would not tolerate oppression of the Constitution and of it’s people. As A Nation founded on the principle of equality for all under our Constitution we would be a Nation of Free people and that is what was the intent of our Founding Fathers all along.

It would not be until the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1971 that minorities and women would be given the full rights under the law and both are still having to fight the Tea Party and Conservatives for those equal rights yet in 2013. Do we really have to ask if it is truly wrong to suggest that other beliefs and value systems may still be unjust in a Country that prides itself on having the best Democracy in the World?

Although I do not agree with the politics of the Deep South either, it does not prevent me from looking forward to their gracious hospitality each time I travel there. I find the people who live in the region, in many incidences, to be the mirror of what the rest of us should look into once we remove the politics from the fray. I find much more prejudice exists in the North, East Coast, Mid West, Bread Basket and intermingled to too large of a degree in the South West and West Coast than what is apparent in the South each time I visit. I have always enjoyed the Diversity of Americans and view it as one of the greatest selling tools that makes up American Democracy.

Government and bureaucracy does some times move much to slow and becomes bogged down in it’s own muck and mire but for the greater part it is the greatest defender of Democracy. While we gripe about one department or the other of government, because as individuals, too many amongst us only approve of the laws that help us but hate those who protect others we too often forget about the greater services we all need through our government. Without its protection many of us would be left defenseless against hate, and the safety and welfare of our Nation’s needs, and Just protection under the law for All Americans.

As a group of people we need to remember that it is the actions of government that keeps us all safe against the greater destruction of oppression and those who promote isolation through hate. “We the People”,simply need to replace those elected officials who serve their own needs over the needs of the American people until they do understand how serious our needs are for all of us committed to the purpose of Decency and Democracy. If we don’t vote then we will always be the losers to those who would deny us our rights under the law.

I, personally, encourage everyone who have pre-conceived notions without the facts to educate themselves on the differences that make our Nation great. I certainly do not applaud nor will I ever support those who would subject their hatred and rhetoric on to other American citizens while using fear tactics in the process.

What I have found to be true once I let go of my own pre-conceived notions is that there are a great deal of commonalities that do exist amongst all of us when we make the effort to accept our differences and to rid ourselves of our own ignorance that is behind most hate. I have no doubt that all of us who look for unity will find that the goodness in the American people does out-weigh the hate that we hear. As is true, too many times, the good often gets buried under the manufactured or bad news that gets reported.

Unfortunately no one knows or understands better than the well financed and powerful political machines at work in America who often hide behind Social Ideology or Religious Freedom, when they are anything but political, that the actions of, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”, have proven itself to be true since the beginning of mankind. We find these political entities, backed by their own media, while they deliberately drive the wedge not just between the American people but also in the GOP that blames our President for the lack of their own Leadership or ability to compromise in their own Party, in Congress specifically, but also at work amongst us in our own environment.

Believe me ,Douglas, the term “redneck”, is not one of my own.  The true redneck believes as I stated they do in my post entitled “Ted Nugent is an Idiot and a Coward,” in my neck of the woods.

Just as the White Supremacists, Skin Heads, and members of any other hate groups who number in the 1000 plus range in America and who think of themselves as victims or superior to other races or sexual orientations are proud to be a member of their group so is a true Redneck proud to be a Redneck.

They are equally as proud of their belief system, racial slurs and gay bashing.  I did not pigeon-hole the Redneck belief system nor their long held beliefs against change and diversity in my area of the Nation. I did not make up this belief system but instead the people involved did it long before I wrote my post and I only reported the same.

Like any other group that takes pride in defining themselves the true redneck does as well. They do make up part of the culture of America. They like all other groups pigeon-hole themselves into the narrow views that exist amongst them just as the radical members of both the NRA and or any other group who believe they are superior to others or victims of another instead of working towards the goal that is satisfactory to all of us.

Democracy embraces all of us who do try to correct the injustices amongst us through positive efforts of all of us working together for the common goal. To pretend this is the goal of those who practice hate or those who try to divide our commonality or respect for each other, is to lie to ourselves and to live in a world of fantasy or denial.

A true redneck sincerely does believe that the Democrat Party is made up of entirely Liberals who are intent on taking away their guns.  Their belief system is exactly what makes them easy prey to the NRA and subversive groups whose only job is to divide the American people.  Anyone insulted to be called a Redneck is truly not a Redneck.

Some, amongst us may think the people who act like cave men or have not advanced to the twenty first century and feel that women rights are not suppose to be equal to the rights of the white male, are “rednecks” but in many of these examples we will find people who have religious convictions that drive their thinking and they are not in truth officially “Rednecks.”

Many included in this group may have similar beliefs when it comes to husband and wife roles but their beliefs stem instead from the verses of the Bible that says, “Wives should be obedient to and beholding to their husbands.” Not all but in a lot of instances, we will find that they are absent of hate or bigotries.

Those who are not or would divide the Faithful, are many times worse than those who make no pretentions of the fact that their hatred and bigotry are volatile. Those who hide themselves behind conservative or Tea Party values in the name of family values, yet with political endeavors in mind, are often more subtle but equally disruptive to the Democracy of America.

I have friends who, I agree to disagree with, who have joked about themselves as being “Rednecks” who have some of the same beliefs but they are totally against the NRA rhetoric and propaganda and would never support the NRA’s rant because even as members they are 100% of the belief, ” That the only people who have to be concerned about having to register a gun or go through checks are probably the people who should never own one.”

I do hope this educates everyone who had the misconception that I was placing blame where done existed, generalizing about a group of people who believe or behave differently from what I reported , or name calling anyone other than Ted Nugent and the NRA leadership in my post.

I repeat the statements I made in the post are typical beliefs and behavior of the true “Rednecks”, who are only one of many groups who make up the cultural climate of America. Anyone who is insulted by being called a redneck is not in truth probably one but perhaps one who can relate to the same on some level.

A true redneck is proud of being called a redneck as they see their views as the only acceptable views.

I have said many a time that hatred is bred in and out of ignorance so if this helps educate in regards to just one of the many groups’ beliefs and behaviors then I feel that I have done some good by exposing them. Sadly the same Republican majority who accept this mentality into Their CPAC conventions learned nothing when the American people sent them the clear message that we will not tolerate division or dismissal of the other 47% of Americans amongst us. I hope you join me in making the message loud and clear that Democracy and decency belongs to all of our people in America.

I appreciate that you took out your time, Douglas, to read my post and I do hope you learned something from it. Sadly, the beliefs of the true Rednecks are growing in numbers and shared beliefs and those of us who know the difference need to be the buffer of resistance against such stereo typing and hatred that continues to grow amongst too many of the groups with like beliefs and hatred against any group or individual Americans who do not wish us harm.

The truly honorable and brave amongst us have not dedicated their lives to the cause of elitism, hate, or class warfare but rather to the cause of Democracy. It does us all well to remember that when we celebrate Memorial Day with our loved ones and decorate the graves of those who died and risked their lives so that all of us could have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without regard to Race, Gender, Creed, Color, or Sexual Orientation.

During this time of great sorrow and travail in our Country, may we all gain a moment of strength and courage as well as be inspired by those Americans who come from all walks of life and diversity, who serve and have served all of us both well and unselfishly. The real heroes’ amongst them risk their most precious gift of life for the rights of All Americans to enjoy the true Blessings of complete and total Freedom from oppression. Thank you! God Bless us all. God Bless America.

While I took a break to remodel, read, paint and to travel I have experienced the dichotomy of the American and political brain when it comes to words not being put forth into actions and the handling of disasters.

Sadness spread by the hurricane on the East Coast followed much later by the tragedy in NewTown, only to be brought to an increased crescendo in Boston and now the disasters in Moore, Oklahoma will certainly(or should) rain on the parade of the Isis witch hunts or the GOP’s strategy sessions to degrade our President’s attempts to help the American middle class even further.

I will explain myself further if I am the only one who is correlating the dichotomy of the contradiction of the American politics in America:

1. At a time that politicians in Oklahoma are passing the personhood bill to ensure all rights of human life to a fetus who in many cases may not even be viable to sustain life outside of the womb and in other cases can lead to the death of a woman, they fail to see the importance of providing tornado shelters for the alive children in their States.

2. AT a time when Isis appears on the network and cable news assuring the public that he is going to work with President Obama to pass immigration changes he continues to attack and berate Eric Holder and President Obama as being in cahoot’s to lie to The American people and of intimidation and corruption, while off camera.

3. While the GOP and Conservatives in the Democrat Party reach out in an effort to express horror over the NewTown shootings they hands down vote down measures that would and do protect the American people and our children from future attacks in our schools, on our streets and in our homes.

4. The above mentioned; along with the Tea Party, white supremacists groups, members of Washington D.C.’s political power, lobbyists, and our States show up at the NRA Convention where they help promote the lies to the NRA membership of 75,000 strong that these efforts to safeguard our children are only efforts by the Obama Administration and the Liberals to take away their guns.

5. Anyone who can not see the dichotomy of the Tea Party and Conservative cause that bans equal rights to women in their National Platform but profess concern for future generations while professing to be God Fearing and protectors of the Faith, Constitution, and Democracy clearly are not seeing reality.  To continually operate opposite of speech in action is a clear cut reality of not just the far right, Tea Party, and Conservative cause but also of the way too many amongst us vote.

6. The two headed monster of dichotomy in America is alive and healthy in too many of the burbs and rural areas in the Red States and the Conservative hold outs in the Blue States across America.  I noticed the very large billboards advertising the various number of Churches while we were driving into Pensacola Florida.

Would Christ truly approve of such commercialization knowing over a 5 year period that those billboards cost in the neighborhood of $100,000.00 per sign and each Church has their own sign of advertisement? Couldn’t that money be better utilized elsewhere, since all the churches are also listed in both the motel room directories as well as the yellow pages?

I also saw many of the Breadbasket and Bible belt States accusing a caring and compassionate Democracy that treats ALL American’s needs as being the practice of Socialism. Those billboards and signs are interspersed amongst the States that claim Christian values along our highways as well.

Since so many, I noticed, are also driving around with bumper stickers that read: “Put Christ back in Christmas,” to the point they fail to see the over-whelming generosity towards the less fortunate and the most innocent amongst us at Christmas time, of non-Christians and Christians alike, is the most Christ-like behavior we can express; couldn’t we argue that perhaps the majority of us are failing to see the obvious while the politicians and their paid for media are playing us for fools because too many of us are disengaged or in denial?

Where is the outrage when the IRS does question legitimately the huge numbers of groups who clearly are political that hides behind Religious or freedom of ideology just to get tax breaks that are not legal?

Where is the outrage when the same people who start the witch hunts failed themselves to legislate the necessary funds that would have safeguarded our Embassys over seas?

Where is the outrage when the innocent amongst us are left unprotected because the members of the GOP refuse to allocate the funding necessary to keep our children safe, or for that matter pass laws that would limit the amount of fire power by limiting the number of bullets in the size of the magazines?

We the People keep speaking to the political leaders across the Nation and their reponse is to actually accuse the government for interfering while we continually see the need for government to help us but our elected officials are refusing to do anything that will help us.

Perhaps the only part of government we truly do need to down size and eliminate are our elected officials in Congress who claim to be on our side when tragedy strikes but votes against us when they have both a moral responsibility to vote for our needs and are elected to show competency as our elected officials.

While the media broadcasts and the GOP tries to tie a link with the mismanaged, scandalous and sometimes misunderstood depts. of government to our President has anyone even noticed that the deficit is going down, the previously uninsured can now get insurance while healthcare costs have gone down, the interests rates charged to students who are interested in improving their education and skills have remained low, the students who wish to go on with their education are now covered on their parent’s insurance, The GNP (Gross National Product) has doubled, housing has gone up and the economy is improving due to the changes made by the Obama Administration that is putting Americans back to work?

Where is the media reporting on the truth when Americans need to know? Hasn’t our President gone the extra step when it comes to tragedy and disaster in our Nation? Isn’t his concern and efforts for immigration change once more being stymied by those who insist they want the Latino and Hispanic vote, as usual? What bill other than the ones that apply to them personally along with their lobbyist, who purchased them, have the Conservatives in the Senate and the Congress passed in the last five years, that they were not pressured into doing because of their fear of not being re-elected? Have we forgotten that they only begrudgingly passed funds necessary to help those hit by the hurricane on our East Coast or to bring relief to the middle class and unemployed?

I will continue staying tuned in with my concerns while enjoying the retirement that my husband and I balanced the budget for that enables our enjoyment in the last quarter of our lives.
