Being Genuine

Webster dictionary describes genuine as actually having the reputed or apparent qualities or character.  To many times we have people using words to describe others when they do not own or practice the qualities needed to possess or own character, themselves.  It was a repeated error made by candidates for election throughout the Nation this past election year.

When Governor Chris Christy of New Jersey showed his own Party what real character was or expressed genuine feelings in his praise of President Barack Obama’s quick response to the disaster in his State, due to the hurricane, men who like to refer to  themselves, as men who protect the standards of family values in America,criticized Christy for being genuine in his complement to our President.

When we as a Nation have leaders who criticize others who are genuine or fail to compliment others and treat it as a heresy when they compliment  or speak to a member of the opposite side of the aisle, can we really expect them to do what is genuinely in the best interests of those of us who are in need of their leadership?  Will men like Paul Ryan,Scott Walker, or Rubio, meeting and discussing the need of the Republican Party to become inclusive of the Hispanics, lead us to believe that they are genuine if they continue to vote against the equal rights of women to make decisions on their own procreation or to their own health, or when their Republican members in Washington filibusters immigration reform?

Are these, the often spoken about, the young new hopefuls of the Republican Party, any better than what has destroyed the “Grand Old Party?”When they speak about the Americans who fall on hard times as being the “takers”, while they vote against the needs of the people or refer to those of us who paid into government as, “people with their hands out who feel entitled”,or try to pass laws against victims of rape in defining legitimate rape, will we see any genuine change in the Republican Party when these young men are chosen to lead our Nation?

Doesn’t the Republican Party need men in it instead like Bob Dole who was genuine in his actions towards the disabled, the poor, and the need of the Republican Party to know and understand the needs of the people?  Aren’t these new young Tea Party members only an extension of what is wrong in the Republican Party?  Aren’t we the American People totally tired of words that are opposite of the actions they practice when it comes to voting against our rights and needs?

Too many times in our own personal lives we make allowances for those who practice disingenuous behavior because they are the beautiful people,the most charming of our children or friends, or because we want to be more like them or a part of their group. The new generation just wants to be respected by their parents instead. When we ourselves are less than genuine it shows all over our bodies and faces to those of us who recognize phony or shallow values.

When these politicians do the same, too many people, who are less than honest themselves, will be taken in by those who are not genuine. I once had a person tell me that my biggest problem was that I was too moral for the group as they did not place a high value on morality.  Isn’t that also at the root of why we keep electing people who are less than genuine in their leadership? I applaud the American people who did not accept or support the practice of lies , that won these men the elections in our States and Washington in 2010.

Have we forgotten already the way they won or their legislation that brought in the right to work laws that eliminated our protection from the Unions against unfair labor laws?  Will we forget the bills that they tried to pass against a woman’s right to choose or the involvement of the Tea Party militia in hate groups?  Will the Corporate Press be able to convince us of all the wonders done by these men of the future who stormed our States in 2010 and began laying off teachers,firemen and police while decreasing the wages of the workers?

When Republicans are promoted to run in the highest office of the land in 2014 and 2016 by the GOP, will we forget that they have been less than genuine in their practice towards the needs of the middle class when it came to an economic recovery and of giving us real jobs with fair hours and wages? Will we forget the passage of the right to work laws that denied the American workers and their Unions the right to vote because 27 States had Republican governors who were financed by the Koch Brothers? Didn’t many of the Republican governors lie to the people while they denied the workers their right to Democracy? Isn’t this currently  happening with Republican Governor Rick Snyder in Michigan?   Don’t these Governors represent the future of the Republican Party and the mentality of the Tea Party while the wages of the middle class continue to decline but the wealth of the rich increases two-fold?

Despite their argument that without the right to work laws corporations fail to move to their States and that these laws release people from having to join the Unions; they fail to say that Federal law already states people who do not want to join a Union need not do so.  These Republicans offer absolutely no proof of the truth in their Statements.  There is a simple explanation for the same and that is because there is no proof in what they state.  The proof that does exist is that the average worker’s income drops by $5500.00 per year along with benefits while their working conditions worsen.

The Corporations continue to win while the workers continue to lose is the fact with the right to work laws and there is no proof when 22 States have adopted these laws that corporations do move in. Why should they change from the States they already do set up residence in, when the majority if not all of the Red States where these laws have passed previously, have always offered corporate welfare to Corporations previously to these laws being passed in swing States? Are we the middle class foolish enough to believe that these Corporations will give up all their bread and honey, along with their facilities, equipment and trained staffs in the Red States in order to take less in the swing States?

If they should happen to move to the swing States, which is unrealistic, how much more concessions and job lost do we think it will cost the middle class workers? Would the workers in the Red States continue to believe that they lost their jobs,health care,and pensions because they were taken over by vulture Capitalists in the claim their Company was losing money? Don’t we already know the truth is that the greed of the Republican Party along with the greed of Wall Street is responsible for job lost over job gain?  What will it take for all Americans to understand this concept?

Michigan Republican Governor,Rick Snyder, like so many other Republican Governors in 21 other States,totally ignored the right of the workers to vote when the polls showed that only 6% of the people in the State of Michigan favored this move. Many in the Red States do not even know if they are a right to work State because they have such a heavily backed Republican legislature along with a conservative media, who does not keep them informed.

Do we feel that the current Republican Party is genuine in their representation of the truth when it comes to balancing the budget and avoiding the fiscal cliff in Washington?The truth is that the Tea Party members have dug in their heals again, just as they did the last time, and refuse to accept President Obama’s proposal of at least lowering the taxes on those who make less than $250,000. and John Boehner, is blaming President Obama instead of himself when it is his job to lead his own Party as Speaker of the House in Congress. They all appear on camera instead for their photo opts and profess in unison that the problem is that President Obama has sent them nothing while they reject his offer of cutting 4 trillion dollars and raising the taxes on the wealthy.  The only thing they seem to be able to agree on is to lie in unison to the American people. They began as “the Do Nothing Congress and they will finish out the four years” as the same.

Are they any different from the Republican Governors in our States? Have we already forgotten their 100 plus filibuster attempts against the middle class that would have protected the needs of the people and gave jobs to the same over their protection of Corporate? Don’t we realize their main goal was to make certain that President Barack Obama was a one term President?  Do we really believe that these same men will now compromise in order to keep the economy improving when they have fought against President Barack Obama’s attempts to do the same in the past?

With all their excuses as to why they lost just how genuine are they in understanding their need to be all-inclusive of the American people?  Is it just another example of empty words on their part? Does our own belief system fail us when we are asked  to remember the behavior directed against us by them? Do we learn to hate others who do us no harm, because we have a genuine belief system that tells us that hate is acceptable? Does our own belief system excuse us from making excuses for ourselves instead of taking action?

Is our problem that we long- ago lost touch with practicing any kind of value system based on genuine values, ourselves? Do we have a clue what we believe when we are called on to fight for the same?  Do we believe instead what we have been told to believe so we go into denial when we see or hear a real lack of sincerity in the same?Are those who promote family values, actually those who talk about values but find morality too difficult to maintain themselves?  We need to be interested in politics and the history of our politicians if we are to hold them and ourselves to a higher standard.

When we fail to hold those who would lead us to higher standards, it is we who lose.  This is true when it comes to raising our children and in teaching them right from wrong because we practice what we preach.  When we fail to make morality a priority in our own life the first to understand that our words do not match our actions, are our children.

Many a straying spouse does not just prove to their spouse that they are not trustworthy but they also teach their children that adults cannot be trusted or the person they most admire lacks morality when it comes to being an adult. Many children will turn a deaf ear to what they feel is nothing more than gibberish when they recognize that the behavior of the adult in their lives does not match the words they speak. Sadly, others will emulate the same behavior when they become adults but they will many times prove to their parents that they can do a better job of failing  than what their parent or parents did when it comes to being less than genuine.

When we talk about how busy we are but our children never see us get off the couch they believe the ”busy talk” in us is less than genuine.   When  our children’s  needs to be disciplined go unprovided for, but are replaced by wants instead, we raise children who grow up feeling entitled without them making any efforts towards justifying the same in themselves; too often some will adopt a grandiose image of themselves while being totally void of human empathy for others while they often lack the understanding of what it takes to be ambitious.  If we never teach our children to take genuine responsibility for their own behavior or to care for their own needs in the home, but instead we make excuses for them or wait on them, we deny them the right to find genuine satisfaction in their own accomplishments.

When children are left untrained and untaught they often grow up fearful of being independent from us or to immature to leave home and to form their own belief system.  If we always treat work as something to be dreaded, we teach our children to be lazy instead. Too often we adults will go into denial before we accept the truth of the fact that our child’s behavior is out of control. The lives our children live while they watch us, when it fails to match the genuineness of the words we speak, often leads to denial in us and confusion in our children.

This is true about any behavior or words that leave our lips.  When we are less than genuine the first to accept it as being normal behavior in adults, are our children.  The fact that the youth vote went over whelmingly for President Barack Obama should show all of us who fear the “Me first and now” traits in the youth vote, that we are dead wrong in our judgements. Just as sometimes  the callous of heart appear to belong to the Tea Party or National Rifle Ass., we totally over look the value in the young who would put many of our generations to shame. President Ronald Regan means nothing to them and invoking his name did nothing towards winning their votes.

We forget that this generation of young people learned from us not to trust.When one out of every three homes on the block experience some form of  abuse in it, they have learned that they cannot trust adults to protect them.  We cannot turn around and place the blame on them without taking our share of the blame and pretend to begin to solve the problems that we face as a Nation, while talking about family values,if we do not understand that as adults our generations were far from perfect,as well.

The 1950′s were anything but what they have been romanticized to be but instead were hidden under the lies of injustice and under the veil of secrecy. The same environment allowed for the inhumane and violence of the Jim Crow laws to continue unchecked along with the violence and inequality of not just the tragedies of those laws but also the lack of laws that protect women and children against extreme abuse.

Those who would advocate the return to the 1950′s are not being fully cognizant or honest of the hardships and lack of humanity of the era.  When we fail to act out of genuine concern for all of our people, ourselves, we are certain to elect officials who would ignore the tragedies of the era,and instead repeat a history of genuine injustice. We as a Nation cannot return to a time of ignorance and injustice but we need to move forward by electing legislatures who  protect all Americans by making certain that the laws protect our children regardless of race,creed,gender or gender orientation, who are the most vulnerable amongst us. The spread of half truths and ignorance only makes hate breed.

Just as those who are aware of past injustices, and fight against the return to the same, we need to acknowledge in more recent times our children were victims of their babysitters, Ministers,coaches, and Priests,others their uncles,neighbors or Boy Scouts leaders,still others their step fathers, dads or mothers, others grew up with drugged,beaten,or alcoholic parents, and still others were prostituted by their own parents. They were warned about pedophiles and terrible behavior in adults that many of our generations were not aware of even existing.

Much of this same behavior happened throughout previous generations as well, but when it is kept as a secret in the closet to take to the grave we grew up being told it was our sin to bear and an isolated happening or worse yet, normal behavior, to practice as adults ourselves.  In keeping the secrets of those we were led to believe we should emulate, we lived our lives in turmoil being convinced we were the demon seed, where as todays generation understands that it is not their fault but the fault of the adult, once they are of voting age. This behavior is not limited to poor neighborhoods but happens on every block regardless the socio-economic conditions.

Many of our young people grew up to find their Sports heroes, steroid addicts or shot or killed in drunken accidents. Others were given drugs by their coaches and told to take it or else.  We adults left them devoid of the heroes we took for granted.  They did not have Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, or Martin Luther King to offer them hope in their lives.  They have no reason to trust the adults in their lives because if they were not victimized they have a friend who was.  They certainly are not going to take a politician’s word for something when their actions are less than genuine and they watched their mom’s work two or sometimes three jobs because they were not paid the wage that their Dad’s were.

They were not bought off as Mitt Romney said with “free birth control” but they have seen too much disingenuous behavior in adults in their lives to be bamboozled by less than genuine politicians. Many of them have no reason to any longer fall for the charismatic who will lie to them.  When abuse was not a part of their life they grew up with the ability to express themselves.

The fortunate ones had parents who encouraged them because they had parents who did or are doing a better job of instilling morality in the next generations than our parents or we did, so the young amongst us who are our future, do recognize the lack of words matching the actions in those who would lead us. It is way past time that we, just as the youth vote does, demand proof of the genuine actions of our politicians to hear us the American Public, and to act as our leaders over lying to us. If the Republican Party continues to fail to understand that their behavior and performance has been exposed and has come out failing,  they will continue to lose elections.

When the Republican Party learns to run legitimate candidates who are genuine in their words matching their actions, then the Grand Old Party will return fully vindicated of its past history and will again be representative of the needs of the people. Talking about it will prove nothing when the conversations are about play acting warm and fuzzy feelings or concerns for the middle class,women, and minorities but their actions taken, prove otherwise.   They cannot deny the voters the truth when their own votes, platform,voter suppression, and actions betray them as less than genuine, nor will it win them votes of the American people.

When the Republicans refuse to accept genuine actions speak to the heart of the youth vote and those votes that they are accustomed of getting, are the votes of the dying generations, then they must change their own actions or become distinct along with the dinosaurs. Unlike those of our generation and before, young people do not buy into the belief that a candidate is a “Nice Young Man”, nor do they vote the way they are told to vote.

Todays’ young people grew up on the internet and are much more likely to check  out the voting records of the candidates  against  their campaign speeches. Bullshippers in politics are on their way out with tomorrow’s voters. The Republicans need much more than empty words or the Hispanic vote in their corner and in most cases, they are assuming that the Hispanics have a short memory and are not computer savvy as well.  No one takes the privilege of voting more seriously than an immigrant, denied.

I wish all of us the appreciation of having genuine people in our lives who surround us this Holiday Season.  May we all be so Blessed as to attract the same with our own honesty while understanding the need of it in all of our own lives. The Holiday Season is not about making comparisons with our neighbors, but about taking pride in the generosity of the American spirit that we helped inspire, while embracing those of us who express the truth of that same spirit.  Celebrate the genuine goodness in all of us by giving of ourselves to what ever Religious or Spiritual belief we hold dear, or as a sign of our genuine love expressed, and give what we can spare to the less fortunate, as a reminder of the real purpose of this Holiday Season.  God bless us all!

What Causes People to Hate?

Hate comes from an inner turmoil within the thoughts of an individual and can commonly rise to the level of anger that explodes out of control in individuals or groups. What may begin as a neighborhood dispute between two people can end up becoming a neighborhood dispute involving the entire block if people begin taking sides. The same thing often happens in families with everyone being forced into taking sides, when any issues should remain between the two individuals to work out together.

We often find the similar thing happening in divorce cases where each of the members try to convince their friends, and sometimes their children who were the victims in a marriage, while an over-whelming amount of the time the divorce couples themselves divide the loyalty of their friends or their children’s affections. Too often because the real abusers in the relationship are often charismatic by nature, people will side with the abuser over the victims; Even when marriages remain intact children will often side with the abuser since they are so starved for affection from the parent who abuses they can be manipulated by the abuser who often with holds affection or pays them off with praises or money. Hate can arise from extreme dislike of ourselves and others.  Hate arises from:oppression,fear, envy,greed,ignorance,jealously or any number of negative feelings that arises from an individual person and can spread from that individual through a group.

In organizations,gangs,or groups that demand membership surrenders its own ability to think for themselves to the leaders of these groups, hate can spread through intimidation,brain washing techniques or come from a person who longs to be accepted.  Because these groups often seek out  individuals who feel that they have been disrespected by others all their lives, to join their group or gangs hate spreads through ignorance. When the majority of membership when left on their own really would have nothing against the groups they are trained to hate, they are taken advantage by the leadership that works them into a frenzy of hate.  What often comes out of these groups is the by-product of hate against people that they have absolutely no rational reason to dislike,much less hate.

Rarely if ever is hate based on rational feeling. Greed is involved in gang wars that kill over drug territory for instance.  People get killed without even having so much as discussed their differences with the ones they kill. Many times people who have no knowledge of the beliefs of the Hindu or Muslim Religions will hate entire groups who practice their religious belief.  We find irrational hate against both Religions because a radical, Osama Bin Laden,outside of the beliefs of Muslim Faith, attacked us on 9/11.  The Hindu Religious group in Milwaukee was attacked out of the same ignorance of what appears to be a deranged individual.  Many times people are harassed or attacked for nothing more than skin color while it is supported by law in States like Arizona.

We can hate the spread of hate and we can insist our leaders stop hate but unless mankind educates themselves to understand their own irrational fears or learns to  control  negative feelings, hate can spread like a wildfire and has been a part of history since the beginning  of human existence.

The Middle East has been at war between Religious sects that vary in their beliefs and who view the other as their enemy since 76 AD. Children are taught at a very young age there, just as they are here, who they should hate. Hate is not just a product of America but it spreads around the World with apartheid in Africa and Dictatorship in Cuba.  A mistrust always lays as the basis of hate.

When we have groups like the NRA,The White Supremacy,The Skin heads, 330 Militia Groups Of the Tea Party, gaining support in the Republican Party due to the growth of the Tea Party within its membership, then we see acceptance of hate when it should not be tolerated by government. Some believe there is a  total of 1000  hate groups currently in America.  They range from the radical of animal rights to the anarchists that often are sent to protests in our Streets from across the Canadian border. In these groups we  find the leaders working the members into a feeding frenzy of hate while telling those who already feel disenfranchised from America’s Social fabric, that they are being victimized.  When  hate is spoken about and bandied about combined with drinking cases of beer,hate often begins in one individual and spreads through an entire group of people.

Other times hate is spread against the gay community in Churches with preaching of the Bible verses against the gay population. A huge sector of the internet and social media will spread lies against the innocent or tell half-truths to try to turn people to their cause through hate. Members of hate groups will send out their hate propaganda to friends through email.  Many times gossips will do the same in offices or small communities or neighborhoods. The Conservative Republican legislature refuses to even recognize the gay community as existing, as they claim they have not been recognized by law. In many cases the Bible that was intended to be a guide to lead mankind out of hate and a guide to lead us instead into acceptance of each other, gets misused by Churches and is used instead to stir up hate against groups that they profess to be marked for, “Hell and Damnation.”

The only way any of us can stop the spread of hate is through education and acceptance of all of us.  When we have the very groups who should be helping to educate people against hate responsible for helping spread hate, then it often takes the citizenry to educate those who hate one at a time.  Even when we do we still will find that students who feel like outcasts,those who feel they are superior even though they are often times filled with fear of inadequacy themselves, and workers who get laid off will still be a threat to Society because of the irrational thinking that explodes in the individual who seeks out revenge through hate.

As a Nation we need to recognize the compassion that we have and to do a better job of dealing with the treatment of the mentally ill. Too many even in the medical profession, refuse to promote real and comprehensive reform in healthcare for those who suffer from mental illness because too many times their hands are tied due to Insurance Companies refusal to carry mental patients long-term.  Churches need to take another look at the way they handle the gay issue and abortion and be ever cognizant of those in their own midst that will use either as an excuse to be a hero in the eyes of the Church, by gong on a killing rampage.

As a Nation we need to enforce hate crimes while not enforcing them to the point that they infringe on our rights to freedom of Speech, and that is such a delicate line to cross, that often times law enforcement is damn if they do and damn if they don’t. We need to better educate people in the different religious beliefs and the history of the races without parents yelling Fowl.  We need to teach respect for all people and religions in America but too often when civil rights leaders attempt to do this they are ridiculed and derided for infringing on the rights of white  Americans.  We need to start educating and not stop even while the far right continues to fight against education.

With the younger generations coming up and making friends with people of different beliefs and skin colors we always look for hope in them teaching acceptance and educating the adults to become more tolerate but too many times schools produce the worse kind of hate because the parents accuse the teachers for promoting unity amongst their students, when the parents do not want their children co-mingling due to their own hate issues. Other times parents themselves are so desperate to have their children accepted and popular that they deliberately encourage feelings of superiority in their children when the children themselves feel an inferiority. Some children, who form cliques and are held together by hate, will spread it through phone calls or the internet when they are intimidated by the group to do so if they wish to remain a part of the group.

Due to the mixed emotions  we parents too many times instill in our own children,  groups often form in schools that learn to either co-exists or it leads to disenfranchising a whole group of children because they are not a part of the “cool group” or “one of us.” To often parents create the hate that surfaces in their own children.  This mentality exists in the parents just as bullies are a product of home environment and are a by-product of hate.

The long and short of hate is that it is very complicated and comes from all directions. Even if we could make laws to counter act hate we would have protests from another group that their rights were being infringed on.  The best solution of all is when”We The People” hear words of hate from our children or their friends we take the time to educate our children and support both our Schools and Church leaders in doing the same.  We need to be the leaders against intolerance in our own homes,neighborhoods, schools, and Churches without passing the buck onto another day or another time.  If it is going on in our schools and Churches ,then we the membership, must stand up against it by demanding that the spread of hate stops and is replaced instead by understanding our differences and acceptance of all Americans as equals.

It often only takes one of us speaking out to turn hate into acceptance in our own neighborhoods, one block at a time. We need to get started making a difference now.  Our Republican Congressmen and  Senators need to quit making excuses and start making comprehensive laws of acceptance of Native Americans, the gay population, and Hispanics that grant them rights. The Republican Senate who has filibustered it, can now rethink their previous objections, by passing the Violence Against Women Act that includes Native Americans, the gay populations and Hispanics.

Anyone who has hate issues themselves needs to get help before you help raise the next generation of people made miserable by their own intolerance and feelings of hate. One thing people who hate never find is joy or contentment.  To think that our child or grandchild will never be happy but instead only hate should spring all of us into action by stopping the spread of hate each time we hear it. The media are easy to deal with as all we need to do is switch stations or turn them off, when they spread their hate. ”We The People”, are not so easy to deal with, so we need to get started and lead by example for the next generations coming up, so they never hear the hate that we have heard escalating and spreading these last four years. The voters have spoken.  God Bless all of us!

Women In Blinders And Binders

As we count down the days now before election day on November 6, Mitt Romney is really putting the emphasis on women. President Obama has been there with us all along and signed the equal pay for equal work bill on his first day in office so women could play on an even playing field with men despite the fact that the Republicans voted against the same. To pretend that the Hispanic and women vote will not win this election is the equivalent of All Americans putting on those blinders that Mitt has tried to place on women and Hispanics on social issues and immigration or possibly to hide out in a binder.

We are supposed to wear blinders when it comes to the fact that Mitt has claimed that before he was Governor that he was in business for 25 years even as he disclaimed it at another time by saying he was no longer at Bain Capital when Bain Capital was accused of outsourcing jobs that had previously been jobs done by Americans. Since some women already have a pair of blinders when it comes to Mitt’s belief of women on social issues they need to be careful not to over use them.

The women that  Romney is courting, and if we believe the media, winning over, must be wearing blinders if they are falling for the Romney spiel when it comes to his protests in favor of women. To add a little levity to it, since Mormon women wear binding underwear all their lives, perhaps binders and women go together in the World of Mitt Romney; But Seriously, does it not occur to women that if Romney had been a successful business man for 25 years,as he claims, that he would not have to find women organizations who put women in binders in order to find competent female employees?  This is Mitt Romney’s own State and he does not know enough women to Staff his own cabinet?

The big part of the Story that gets left out of the telling of the story; and there always seems to be a big part left out by Romney and Ryan and the media who protects their drive to win, is that only one woman worked at Bain Capital after Romney’s 25 years in Business.  Mitt Romney had to go to women’s organizations, who had resume’s of women qualified to staff his Cabinet in binders, because hiring women was never a priority of his prior to running for political offices. He did not play a role in appointing women in any company that he likes to point out that he started after laying off thousands of people in Companies he took over while at Bain Capital.

After this great wealth of business acumen that Mitt brags about on the campaign trail he did not know any qualified women because he had never made hiring women a priority of his previously and if he was going to run as Governor on his way to President he needed to give the appearance of being women friendly.  Mitt Romney has been running for President ever since the voters in Massachusetts more or less told him that he need not apply for a second term because he could not win a second term.

How sad is it and out of touch is Mitt that he could not in the last two decades,when women have been better educated than men since the 1980′s, come up with enough women to make up his staff?  Wouldn’t most of us take a look at our husbands or ourselves and be able, after 25 years in business, to come up with enough loyal and qualified women to make up 30% of our staffs with competent women?  Wouldn’t it even be that much easier if we needed to do this in our own State?

Wouldn’t most of us want to hire even a larger percentage of women to our staffs knowing that women continue being more educated and qualified than men? Since women make up the majority of the population along with the work force shouldn’t those numbers be reflected not only on the candidate staffs but in Congress and the Senate as well?  Isn’t the fact that women still make up the minority of power but the majority of the job market the reason more women lost their jobs in the crises that followed the Bush Administration?

Wasn’t it because more of us were hired over men, since of our qualifications were better than men and because of the Republicans refusal to pass the “equal pay for equal work Act” previously to President Obama passing it into law, that companies could hire us for less, and in doing so it was our numbers that was eliminated the most during the slow down in the economy due to the greed of free enterprise?

Is it any wonder that in the World outside of where Mitt Romney apparently lives, that women have been hit the hardest, because of controls being lifted on the banking industry and Wall Street in the Bush Administration? Isn’t it the refusal of a Republican controlled Congress to pass President Obama’s jobs package and the Republicans efforts to keep unemployment high that is impacting women the hardest and increasing our numbers into the poverty range?

How can Mitt Romney possibly know the real hardships and injustices that women face in a “Good Old Boy” system when he has been part of that system all his life?  If a man is  in business for 25 years and has a College degree and he cannot even come up with enough women he trusts to staff his inner circle without reaching out to outside help doesn’t that tell us that he is either terribly out of touch with women and the issues that they face or he has lived in the Mormon world of male dominance or is a long time supporter of “the Good Old Boy” system?

Can we ignore that in the Mormon world women are expected to be home makers and not have career interests outside of being child bearers, and not understand that women in the work place probably wasn’t important to Mitt Romney until he knew his record needed to reflect that he was not impartial to women when he ran for the office of Governor or President? How sad is it that Mitt had to get outside help just to find women who would be considered competent enough to work in his staff? Within 2 years the numbers of women in his staff fell below 30% and for those of us who do not wear blinders or are  in binders, we ask,” if the commitment on Romneys’s part was to women over image why weren’t the women who quit or  laid off, in that period of time, replaced by other women?” When we think of all of the magnificent College professors and the qualified women on the Staffs of  other Companies while Mitt claims to have built up and created jobs  and he himself along with two partners started Bain Capital doesn’t it leave we women questioning why Mitt was unable to staff his own Cabinet if he was so women friendly in the work place?

Mitt Romney in a conference call in June to the Federation of Small Business told CEO’s to tell their employees how they felt as it is not against the law to express their views to their employees on how the CEO’s thought they should vote  and to explain to them they would lose their jobs if they voted for President Obama over himself. Mike White of Rite-Hite in Milwakee has told his 16,000 employees they will lose their benefits if they vote for President Obama, Koch Brothers have told their 45,000 employees that they better vote for Mitt Romney or face lost of their jobs, as has David Siegel of Florida Resorts sent e-mails warning his employees of the same, along with other CEO’s of other Companies are telling their employees to Vote for Romney or lose their jobs.

Instead of reporting this intimidation by CEO’s against thousands of employees taking place across America the media is reporting the Conservative view who are reporting the failure of a Republican Conservative woman being refused a full-time position at the University of Iowa because she is a Conservative Republican where the University hiring team says instead that she had poor interviews and it has nothing to do with her political beliefs.

Conservative Will Cain on CNN is insisting as the Conservatives all do that Universities only hire liberals.  In the world of Conservatism, Evolution being taught instead of Creationism, is considered liberal teachings and Science has been banned in the Republican platform.  This one teacher being denied full-time employment is so much media driven and yet we hear nothing of the threats being made by Companies to fire thousands of employees if they do not vote for Mitt Romney. Can we really believe that Mitt Romney cares more about our jobs than his own election?

When we take a good look at the team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and add together the whole story of events while combining it with common sense their history of actions taken against us shows: in their world of business and politics too often both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan came out short with their actions in support of Hispanics and women. Too often both men were for it before they were against it or against it before they were for it and they will sway any direction and will do or say anything to win elections. As the old saying goes, in my part of the Country, its time that both we women and Hispanics show the ”Good Old Boys” at the election polls,”Action talks, Bull S— walks.”

Re-elect President Barack Obama who does have a history of proving his support for women and Hispanics when it comes to passing or making the efforts to pass forward on bills protecting womens’ equality and fairness in the Hispanic community and will finish what he started, and then Vote Democrat November 6th.

Mormon Women:America’s Second Class Citizens

The Doctrine of Celestial marriage in the Mormon Church, which basically states that women will join their first husbands for eternity on the various planets that allow for a man of the Mormon Faith  to become God like on that planet, denies women the right to divorce in the Mormon Church.

The more children attributed to a Mormon man in the celestial heavens then the more power that man will have on the celestial planets that he over-sees. Due to this Covenant in the Mormon belief, women are strongly encouraged to not use birth control in order to bring greater glory to their husbands and themselves in their after-life. Unless a woman can fully document adultery by letter in very detailed and humiliating terms to the elders, divorce is never allowed in the Mormon Church.  The Mormon Church does not allow for either abuse of wife or children in a marriage by a husband or father because if either exists, it is their belief, that it is the fault of or error of the wife and child to honor or to perform to the wishes of the husband or father.  Since both is considered the blame of women and children neither are grounds for a divorce in the Mormon Church but can only be obtained through civil divorce, and to do so leads to excommunication from the Church when a woman does file for divorce.

The Mormon Church hires a full battalion of lawyers who will defeat any law firm of any less than substantial size, if a women sues for legal support or half of what is rightly hers in no-fault States following a divorce, or a child sues against rape or incest charges after they are excommunicated from the Later Day Saints or the Mormon Church.  The Mormon Church refuses to acknowledge the fault of men against crimes of humanity in their Patriarchal Society and in a man’s family. The view prominently held by the elders and Bishops of the Church who are not ordained ministers but instead lay men such  as Mitt Romney, is the blame of the women or children to follow Church Law towards accepting the wishes and the final authority of the Man of the family.

Women can only be joined to their husbands in the temple if they have never allowed a another man other than their husbands to touch them. 16 years old sons have the power to advise their mothers as the Mormon Church advocates a Patriarchal Society with women being the child bearers and  home makers. A son nor a man can be seen doing house work on any level since this is women’s work. Mitt not knowing what he picked up at the Store is very likely the truth, since more than likely his shopping trips were done by the efforts of his handlers to appease the American public who will vote for him over it being a habit of his to shop. The handlers have worked over time in the campaign from having Mitt Romney appear in blue jeans to making him look like just a common “Joe” of the people.

Once a woman, usually as a very young woman since the Mormon Church promotes marriage in its young people, visits the temple for the first time she is given the sacrament of Endowment, and shown how to wear the “sacred undergarments’.  They are always white and consists of a top and bottom that is binding to remind her of her commitment to God and her husband.  Women are banned from wearing shorts,swim suits, or any clothing that is considered provocative and in most cases from wearing short sleeves.  The virginity of a woman is her responsibility, regardless of the attention or force placed on her by a man, as good girls cannot become pregnant by rape if they do not allow a man to have his way with them or dress provocative as to encourage impure thoughts or actions by a man.

Since the Mormon Religion teaches that the more children men have in the Celestial planets the more God like they are and will become, other women can be assigned to a married man in the Celestial Heavens, even though polygamy is banned in the Mormon Church on earth and only practiced by fundamentalists who have been excommunicated by the Mormon Church.

A woman who fails to marry a Mormon man in her first marriage is often assigned to the Bishops of her Church along with her children, in the after life, if she marries a Mormon man as her second choice. However, the Church is much quicker to accept pregnant brides in the temple and rarely will accept a divorced woman unless she can properly document adultery in her first marriage.

Because virginity is so important in the Teachings of  the Latter Day Saints or the Mormon Church a woman who is engaged or spoken for, while her future husband goes over-seas to preach the Mormon Faith and to gain converts, will often stay with the family of the husband to be, as did Ann Romney stay with Mitt Romney’s parents while Mitt was in France furthering his Faith.

While men are over seas they cannot be in the company of other women, watch television or listen to music and women while their fiance is over seas must  give up their own choices for those two years waiting for their future husbands.  The teachings of Mormonism believes that when young people are taught these restraints for their Church they will remain in the Church for a life time.  The returning men must marry within 6 months of returning home.  Many brides who marry in the temple are pregnant, some figures say as high as 70%, but the Mormon Church would rather see pregnant brides than tolerate divorce.

The Mormon Church in America is the only Religion that has ever been given full and complete dispensation from the Military draft on grounds of religious beliefs. No Mormon will ever serve in the military so we should question if Mitt Romney is even fit to be Commander-in-Chief since being in the military has already been contested by him on Religious convictions during the Viet Nam War. Because  George Romney ran against Richard Nixon for President during this time in history, attention was drawn to  Mitt Romney protesting in favor of the draft and against over-turning it, during the Viet Nam War, and it caused many to see Mitt as a hypocrite even then. Mitt was in a castle in France with Religious Dispensation during this time while Ann Romney was living in the home of Mitt Romney’s father George Romney, waiting for Mitt’s return and their eventual marriage.

Although the Mormon Church has never held as other Religions do that Eve made Adam eat of the apple in the Garden of Eden, it does believe that it is the intent of God for women to be home makers and to produce as many children as the husbands want. All women in the Mormon Faith are expected to be married and to bear children for the men of the homes. Because the number of children produced increases the man chances to become God like in the Celestial Heavens, birth control is greatly frowned on. In a Patriarchal Society that is promoted by the Mormon Church, the Father and husband are the only voice of the home and what they say is the same as if God Himself has spoken.  In more liberal homes a husband will listen with compassion to the needs of his wife and children but what he says is the final word and must not be disobeyed.

Since patriarchal authority is so much the Covenant of the Mormon Church and without this belief both men and women are denied the ability to gain Heaven, the Mormon Church put in billions of dollars in today’s monetary values to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment from 1921 to 1971 when it was finally passed by a majority of the Congress.

They used the argument as did all the Churches who fought against equality for women did, that the equal rights amendment was not necessary for women because it was already guaranteed in the Constitution.  This same argument is used by today’s Tea Party members and was used throughout history to deny civil rights to minorities in the past and is still used to deny equality to the gay population today, as well.

The Republican Party’s majority refusal to even acknowledge the gay population with claims that they are not recognized by any laws, is no different from the argument that was used for generations by the “Good Old Boy”System.  This argument existed for centuries when it came to in-equality for women and minorities and made it possible for both to be denied their equal rights guaranteed in our Constitution.  Without the Equal Rights Amendment that guarantees our Civil rights of equality, the Good Old Boys ” made up of white males, had control over women and minorities, under these exact same claims and arguments.

Can we trust Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to stand up for equality for women and a fair wage of equal pay for equal work or for that matter to sign into law any Bill or Act that protects women and minorities against the abuse of the ”Good Old Boy” system or in the equality that protects procreation for women today? When Mitt refuses to say he will support equal pay for equal work for women and says he gave women flexible hours  so they could go home and cook dinner for their families isn’t he playing into the stereo-type of his Mormon faith?  In many homes outside of his religion, men often do the cooking.

Flexible hours are as important for men as they are women and should not be gender specific and certainly not based on women cooking dinner, unless of course we are as out of touch with real life as Mitt Romney is out of touch. The true purpose of flexible hours is to make it possible for both sexes to be able to go to Dental, Dr., and business appointments as well as to be with their children if they need to see a Dr. and to attend their activities.  Do any of us think Romney understands the real purpose of flex hours outside of the Mormon Church?

Make no mistakes about it, Mitt Romney, is guided by his Mormon Religion as a Bishop of that Religion and has never said as John Kennedy said,”that if his (Catholic) Religion interferes with his duties as President to all people of all Faiths and all Americans, that he will resign as President of the United States.”

We have already seen Mitt Romney outsource jobs as Governor of Massachusetts and to gain wealth for the wealthy at Bain Capital. Mitt Romney left his own State in such a mess when it came to contracts on infra-structure and unemployment that he was not wanted back by the voters so he only served one term.  Even today he is losing his own State by a whopping 25% in Favor of President Obama while he instead claims he was a successful Governor despite the fact that Massachusetts fell to 47th in the Nation in job creation.Can we really trust Mitt Romney to get jobs in America for the middle class when his record indicate otherwise?

Since Mitt Romney does not specify that it was his actions as Governor of Massachusetts that created number 1 schools in Massachusetts, he does not get a “liar pants on fire,” from Politico but instead an incomplete. Massachusetts has always had good schools and to question if they are number 1 in the Nation is legitimate enough to do so. Maryland, instead, holds the record of having the Number 1 schools in the Nation and many credit the Democrats for making it possible. When we understand that Mitt Romney hired the same Paul Ryan team that made up the Ryan plan to do his budget can we trust that Mitt will not reward the wealthy and punish the elderly and middle class?  Is that why Mitt refuses to tell us which loop holes he will close?  Can we trust the fact that Mitt Romney will not do away with Medicare in favor of vouchers or Obama care in favor of the greed of Capitalism?

Can we trust Mitt Romney not to appoint the next two Supreme court Judges as the next two retire, to protect the equal and civil rights of All Americans.  If he chooses instead from his Mormon base, in which there is a strong fraternity, then can’t we be certain that the Equal Rights Amendment along with Roe vs. Wade will be thrown out by a majority of Conservative judges who consistently vote as Judge Scalia votes? We are that close in this election to denying equality to many in America and to defeating Democracy as we have known it.

If it is your son or daughter or grandson and granddaughter can  you afford to  gamble on that when the past actions and statements of both Mitt Romney and Tea Partier Paul Ryan, disallows for the equality of all Americans?  Did Mitt Romney really mean what he said against 47% of American voters and Paul Ryan agreed with, on the 30% of Americans? Was it just coincidence that they are both on record as saying the same thing against the American people they claim refuse to work and would rather be victims?  You decide, and then re-elect President Barack Obama and vote Democrat in November.

Is Being A Woman A Crime?

If we look at the current views of both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan who are trying very hard to run away from their past statements and actions in regards to women issues we do know that their actions have blended in with the Conservative right establishment.

Before I even get started, I would like to point out to the males in the crowd, that if you don’t think any of this is your problem, I simply ask you how would you feel if your girlfriend,sister,mother,daughter or wife were reminded daily of the rape they sustained by being forced to carry that egg?What if they are simply dating a jerk and you know that they are and she is bound to life to that jerk because she could not use birth control?  How would you feel if your 16-year-old daughter or son,who you have invested all your time into making  a future success for,comes home and says “Congratulations Dad, you are going to be a grandpa”, and you know that statistics show that their future is more likely to be a life lived on the poverty line unless you are willing to bankrupt your own account and then find after you do that the truth was your son or daughter had no ambition to become the success you wished for them?

How would you feel if your daughter was raped at 10 and forced to carry a child when she is still a child herself? There are parents who are placed in this difficult scenario and they need a Dr. who is not criminalized for doing abortions to help them through this difficult time. Although the majority of young girls get their periods around the age of 12 many as young as 9 begin their cycles as well and are as susceptible as any women of any age to pregnancy by rape, regardless of what Todd Aiken and too many of the right-wing claim about good girls not getting pregnant.  Women’s issues are as much about you as it is about women. You yourself may find what you thought was just a reckless night of drinking and fun makes you a Dad over night, before you are able to find your own direction in life and child support becomes a monthly responsibility that you face before you are even able to buy the car you’ve dreamt of having.

Regardless of the circumstance of conception, the price is paid by the child when they are a child born before the parents are ready to be a parent and that absence of bonding that they miss out on, unlike a wanted child who is wanted feels, follows the unwanted child throughout their lifetime. Many of them will end up being abused or neglected because their birth interfered with the parents’ future plans for themselves, and they never understand why that frustration was taken out on them.  They will question everything about themselves including their own ability to love.

Because your own gender refuses to take responsibility for their children while you take care of yours’, aren’t you  being branded right along with them, if you do take responsibility?  Will you find yourself sitting across the table with a woman you neither like or gets on every nerve in your body because you did the honorable thing and married her? Will you instead want to be a father to that child and are told instead,”Get out of our lives and stay out of our lives, I don’t want your child support?” Will you reach retirement age and find the success you yearned for and found is worth nothing because of what you live with is the lonely regret of having not been a father to your child, who despises you for your absence?

I ask  you to continue reading about the hardships your Grandmother and maybe even the battles your Mom has had to fight in order for you to have the choices that you now have.  When you do read this, I ask that you feel the disgust that women feel now that they are being again denied by the Conservative majority that you may be a member of and if Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan win this election. I hope you will join in helping us stop this movement from going forward and to put it to rest forever.

As American voters and as women we are supposed to wear blinders and pretend that the rights of women on the use of birth control and abortion including rape and incest does not matter to us but only jobs do.  Never mind that the Conservatives who support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and make up 70% of the Republican party want to appoint Supreme Court justices who will do away with Roe vs. Wade and criminalize women and doctors who get or do abortions.

Once Roe vs. Wade is overturned if they win, then any and all abortions, regardless of what Romney says about supporting abortion in case of rape and the life of the mother, will again become a crime in America. Romney has also said  he will refuse funding for all Planned Parenthood clinics, thereby making it impossible for many single women as well as poor and married and single middle class moms to get cancer screenings, birth control pills, or have their general healthcare needs protected. In doing so they are banning outright the free will granted women by God to make decisions effecting their own person and criminalizing the choices women make in regards to their own health care.

Mitt Romney is trying to duck the truth when he says he wants to over-turn Roe vs. Wade and send it back to the States as he should know in doing so there will be and are no exceptions being made for rape,incest or a woman’s or child’s life, in any of the States attempting to pass or have already passed bills against the rights of women.  When we consider that rape begins in incest at the age of 8 and 6% of abortions that are reported truthfully as incest, occur in children often 12 or younger, we should be outraged.

Overturning Roe vs. Wade means the law will ban all abortion,period, just as the Republican platform states.  With the numerous attempts being made to stop abortion in the  States by Republican majorities and Conservative Judges, all rights of a woman to her own body will be denied in favor of the Personhood Bill. Mitt is no different from all the other Conservative and Tea Party members who are attempting a diversion tactic on women to end their rights to equality.

Anyone who thinks that the poor and middle class will find a doctor who will go near any of their healthcare needs when Obama care is repealed and abortion and birth control are criminalized isn’t thinking logically or realistically. We will go back to where only the wealthy or the mistresses of wealthy men have a Dr. who will terminate a pregnancy and call it a miscarriage. Already where Planned Parenthood clinics are being forced to close in Texas and Arizona, women are crossing the border and jeopardizing their own lives without medical guidance.

Ann Romney is campaigning in front of older women by saying,”We need to rely on men when we get sick.” The truth is as many of we women know, “men rely on us when they get sick.” It doesn’t matter if it is our boy friends,sons,widowed fathers, or husbands men in most cases, will not even see a Dr. or follow directions towards treatment unless a woman encourages them to and as a result women outlive men and single men die younger, but we are supposed to pretend that without a man’s guidance we are the most  helpless of the genders.

Republican conservatives believe by doing away with the services that poor and  middle class single women and moms depend on, they will be able to slow down or eliminate divorces and put control of the poor little things (women) who do not know their own minds back into the hands of men. Remember Mitt Romney thinks the middle class makes between $200,000 to $250,000 a year, so there is no reason that the middle class can’t afford to pay for private services.

We women, who lived that era when only men had a voice, remember when women justifiably complained about lazy and uncaring  abusive husbands were accused of being too emotional because they were having their periods and were mentally unstable during this time so needed the logic of men to balance their moods.  In earlier years men could even commit wives to mental institutions if they wanted to and a woman had no say over it. Many a straying man found it a convenient excuse to take on a new wife by eliminating his old wife through commitment to a mental Institution.

Is being a woman in America becoming  a crime if we do not perform according to the expectations of Conservative men?  When we start dissecting that question and really get into the whole of the matter with the Conservative base that controls the Republican Party we see the behavior of men going back to controlling women with their attitudes being that of past generations that have held the idea that when it comes to women,”the poor little things just don’t know what is in their best interests so we men need to control them against their own emotional outbreaks.”

Statistics show that 11% of Dads, who can afford child support, are dead beat fathers but the break down does not include dads who are too poor to pay child support.  When we know that many of these Dads do or can work but instead are paid under the table or refuse to pay child support so don’t work, instead of making this part of the issue that needs to be changed the Republicans  want to do away with support for single moms.  The general thinking behind doing this is that fewer women will divorce if they are not getting financial support from the government.  That line of thought continues with their desire to do away with Headstart even though many married parents use the services of Headstart along with single moms.

The Republican Party, with Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as their leaders, also want to eliminate free meals at schools knowing full well that this is the only time that poor children have food to eat.  Instead they think that it is the responsibility of Churches to feed the hungry.  I have not yet figured out how they think that Churches will be able to come up with the financing when the Republican’s goal is also to eliminate government subsidies for food stamps and surplus food supplies that currently provide the food for the food Pantry’s that supply the Churches the food. This has led to an outcry in many of the Churches across America.

They are also  behind a  drive to do away with public schools and to switch to privatizing schools with “for pay schools” only and home schools for those who cannot afford to pay tuition.  Mitt Romney has said that he is in favor of ,”for pay schools.”  Already servicemen and women who are entitled to free public education in return for their service are being ripped off by Conservative advisory services ,who are taking government money , and guiding unsuspecting service people who are not aware of their own choices in education towards ”for pay schools” while charging the high tuition costs for our Service personnel, to the Government.

In summary then the Republican’s thinking is: women who cannot get healthcare or birth control will have these children they cannot afford to feed so they will stay in an abusive marriage rather than file for divorce and see their children go hungry. Single women will not have sex for fear of pregnancy and according to this thinking only men have sexual needs or sexual appetites so it is the responsibility of good girls to control themselves as well as men, when they are single but once they are married, a man is entitled to have his sexual drive fulfilled in any way he sees fit other than sodomy. This has been the belief in the Mormon Church since they wrote their Covenants.

The Republican Party is financing and  supporting Todd Aiken of Missouri, as we knew they would, and their outrage including that of Mitt Romney’s was simply for show. They believe as Todd Aiken said,”good girls cannot get pregnant during rape.” In short then if women cannot feed their children and they are left to go hungry instead; if women get an abortion including incest and rape victims; if women do not give up their jobs to home school their children  or pay someone to educate their children;all behaviors will be criminalized and women will do jail time if they do not follow the law of the Republican majority.

They,of course, believe that women will gladly follow all of these demands in favor of giving birth along with the best interests of their children so women will not have to do jail time.  According to their reasoning children will thrive in a two parent home and our value system will magically re-appear.  It won’t bring forth the drug use or criminal activity that they blame single parent homes for, although their statistics are flawed. Other Statistics show where children are loved by both parents and not neglected in single parent homes those statistics are not the truth.  There is no difference between a two parent home as versus a one parent home where children feel loved by both parents.  Two parent homes do not guarantee anymore of a success rate that a one parent home does when love is with held to a child.

They ignore all the years when divorce was not possible and where secrets were kept while affairs went on, when their drunken neighbor or Uncle Harry raped their sons and daughters, and the children were told to keep their mouth shut. When women,often mothers of other children who lived in poverty, died from back alley abortions. They forget the mother’s who resented  their children and reminded them that the only reason they were born was because they thought birth control was wrong and the parents who hated each other because they felt trapped in a loveless marriage. When both women and children were beaten due to resentment, each day before breakfast just because they laughed too loud the few moments they could find laughter, and they had no laws that protected their rights.

Those of our generation and before who lived those years will never forget them and we need to remind our children and your children about how much misery comes out of a home where women are forced to give birth to children they cannot tolerate. Not all women are nurturers and those that aren’t many times are the least likely to give their child up for adoption because they look towards a child too often as their way out.  Prostitution almost always begins in the home. When women are denied their right to choose,the children too many times pay the price.  A woman knows and understands her own capacity to parent and if she was wounded as a child those wounds too often are passed on to the next generations.

Some women are inspired instead towards career fulfillment through the law, medicine,business,technology or the arts and should not be criticized,judged or demeaned by those who try to force them into parenthood.  Others wish to remain single and find their nurturing instincts fulfilled in charitable contributions towards Society over motherhood.  We must never fall back on those years where equality was denied women and all women were forced into motherhood or lost their say over their own bodies but instead continue moving forward where women are granted the equality that men have always had.

Conservatives are not against laws and government agencys and enforcement when it is their laws and government that is being enforced.  The Courts have never been back logged further by more than 1000 attempts being made in our States to do away with women’s rights. The cases run from doing vaginal probes to declaring Personhood to an egg two weeks before a woman conceives.  Paul Ryan himself has sponsored 56 bills, one of them with Todd Aiken, to do away with the rights of women and their health in favor of the rights of a fertilized egg. Paul Ryan has bragged that he is so far right he is even right of the right.

If the Personhood Bill is given to the egg, women carry two weeks before they even have sex, then we can be certain birth control will be eliminated as well, while no laws will be passed banning the sperm that fertilizes that egg. The Personhood bill has already been passed in Virginia,Mississippi,Oklahoma, Nebraska and Idaho. It is pending in other Tea Party and Republican controlled States and expected to pass there as well.

By giving the egg legal status of Personhood they can ban the morning after pill out right even though it takes 72 hours for the sperm to reach the egg. To declare that the Republicans led by the Tea Party members in both Washington and our States, who are against equal pay for equal work for women, are not at war with women or are attempting to control women with the threat of making women’s equality a crime of womanhood is like saying:”The sun never rises.” If we truly care about the future of our children and grandchildren we will Vote Democrat in November.

The History Of Marriage

At a time when we have all these right-wing zealots and the Republican Party spouting off about marriage having been about one man and one woman for 3000 or 5000 years,depending on their own lack of knowledge on history or deliberate attempts to wipe out the same, let’s get real and tell the truth on the subject of marriage.

Although the Bible is not a good barometer of use when it comes to accurate dates in history, due to the difficulty of understanding the language and errors made in interpretation and differences in cultural ideas of time lapses as to what length of time meant accurately, I will begin with it. As Americans we are and have always been made up of different beliefs or Faiths and certainly are not all Christians, so as to not to offend or to give the  Mitt Romney view that,” America is One Country under Christ instead of his acknowledging God,” the Bible is the most accurate Book to use when explaining those who would defeat equality in America through adding the “Marriage Amendment to our Constitution.

“The Good Book” has been used  to promote predjudice in America since the invention of the Republican Party. The people who protest the right of civil unions between gay people, use the Bible as their basis to interfere with the Constitution of the United States as to why they have a God-given right to deny gays their Civil Rights.It was not all that long ago that the Bible was still used against,women, minorities and marriage of different faiths and different races, to deny them equality as well.

No one, the Republicans included, can come up with an accurate reason to strip the Civil Rights away from the gay population so instead they, Mitt Romney included, talk about adding Amendments to the Constitution to do that for them.  It is not enough for them that women,minorities, Jews,Japanese and people of other Faiths have had to fight against this same bigotry and illegal action in the past in order to save their own Civil Rights.  What is sad are those who have apparently forgotten their own battles against this same hate movement in America and now want to deny the rights of others, in my opinion.

In the Bible we read that King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.  Abraham, the Father of Religion, first wife could not bear children as she was barren and he took a second wife in order to produce his prodigy.  We know of wives who took many husbands in the days of the Bible when their husbands were killed off in wars or when women were rare in the areas. The argument that marriage has been between “one man and one woman’” for 3000 to 5000 years that they are making today only holds true if they mean one woman at a time up to as many as 700 as in the case of King Solomon, or up to two in the case of Abraham. Please understand that these are only two examples that I use here, that clearly disputes  their argument when they try to use the Bible to prove their point. The same Bible that those who profess to be devoutly Religious use to deny the rights of gays is apparently put away when it disputes their own words.

When we have people like Tony Perkins saying marriage has been between one man and one woman for 5000 years and he claims to be a head of research then we should all be concern about the inaccuracies on marriage being thrown about.  It is especially significant when we know and understand that Tony Perkins was a member of the Republican legislature for two terms and heads  what he calls the Family Research Council.  That dude has to be one pathetic researcher as not even the Bible backs his claims.( I apologize for my temporary delay on the subject of marriage but if we do not understand that these people abound in the name of Christianity or that the Carl Rove sponsored group has received 77 million dollars by “unknowns” we do not get a clear picture of what is happening to the rights of the American People in the name of “marriage.)

In Europe and elsewhere in the World, marriages had many practices that a civilized World has refused to practice and as a result marriage has evolved since the beginning of its institution when mankind has evolved and become more civilized. In the past   marriages were often as a result of cousins marrying cousins and was a practice that was carried to the New Country called the United States of America after the Revolutionary War.  Polygamy was still a common custom and there were times that brothers even married sisters in an effort to escape war crimes and prosecution.

When women were barren or unable to have children it was a common practice for brothers or cousins to loan out their wives to bear children to the  men whose wife could not bear children or who were not married. Without the use of their brothers wives they could not become fathers and bare prodigy to help with the work on their land. Priests and ministers who knew of someone in their Churches or Parishes who were not married or widowed and had children to be raised often arranged marriages sight unseen.

Some people today in America still have arranged marriages as was the custom between adjoining land owners still in America well past the turn of the twentieth century. Marriage has evolved over the years in many different patterns and many different ways since the beginning of mankind.  Since women were the property of men they were unable to deny these unions when their fathers or husbands spoke.Since women were considered the property of men they could not legally inherit that which their fathers or husbands owned  when the men died.Women were nothing more than the modern-day slave under the name of marriage, without any rights or voice at all, until they won the right to vote. Even then the turn around has been a slow progress.

What is happening in the name of the  Marriage Amendment that they are pushing today is nothing more than a return to those days. In an effort to ban the Equal Rights Amendment that made it possible for women to share equally in what they helped earn, through death and divorce,women are the most wealthy in America today.  This wealth and power frightens the bigots along with their concern for the increase in divorce. Because women make up the majority of voters, today, these Christian sponsored groups with the help of the right-wing legislatures are trying to eliminate the divorce laws in the Marriage Amendment. When the laws changed 40 years ago, men and women were no longer lawfully bound to abusive marriages or made to stay in miserable marriages. The movement to deny divorce is part of their involvement in the , “one man one woman” Marriage Amendment that they want to add to the Constitution. (again I digress from the history of marriage, but  it is important that I do)

In America polygamy was still the norm well into the 1800′s and would be outlawed twice once in 1861 and again in 1882.  The only way that  Utah was allowed to gain its Statehood was to deny the practice of polygamy It would not be until 1910 that the Church of Later Day Saints would finally ban polygamy entirely.  Fundamentalist Mormons still practice it in more tolerant States today. Family members marrying their own direct lineage would not be banned until the turn of the 20th Century. If people of mixed race tried to marry they were imprisoned up to and including 1957.

When we hear Mitt Romney say that marriage has always been between one man and one woman for 3000 years we need to know and understand that many civil liberties in marriages, have both been taken away from women in these Unions as well as many extra liberties are given to the male population, in the name of marriage since the beginning of any type of marriage. It is especially curious as to why Mitt Romney, who himself is  an offspring of plural marriage, would say,”Polygamy would be just awful,” when his own father’s birth-rite is as a result of the same and his grandfather escaped to Mexico instead of giving up his plural wives.

1000 new bills have been added in the States by Conservative Judges and Republican legislatures banning women to the rights of procreation as well as their own health issues,in just the last two years, which is demonstrative of the drive under-way to once more deny women the ability to make decisions for themselves and would relegate all women once more to the position of second class citizenry by these fanatics.  If we do not think that what is being done to the gay community in America is also being done to us then we have not tuned into what is really happening with these Republicans who are producing bills against our own rights.

When we understand that marriage evolves as mankind becomes more civilized, then we understand even clearer what his movement backwards by the Conservative right and Tea Party right-wing is doing to the freedoms of all of us who have already fought the battles for our civil rights and won with the addition of the Equal Rights Amendment in 1971. Although the gay population is also included in that Amendment their rights are still denied them under the definition of marriage by the Churches in America.

With the movement of the Republican Church backed Amendment being added, in the name of marriage of,” one man and one woman,” to the Constitution then we all are in jeopardy of losing our rights all over again, as well. When the working poor and middle class Americans understand the injustices that are being carried out right under our own noses in our own States where there is a majority of Republican legislatures led by Tea Party sponsored governors, who will do to away with all of our rights that are protected by government and our Unions with  the addition of the ”right to work laws” and all the way to the”one man and one woman” bill in the name of marriage, then we should also understand the need to fight inequality against all Americans, including the gay population.

When we as a free Society, vote to eliminate rights for one American population, we vote to eliminate rights for all Americans,ourselves included with added time, because of the inclusions they keep hidden in these bills when they pass them.  We need to rip the mask off of what is being worn as a disguise in the name of marriage by these right-wing Republicans who are being bought and paid for by the backers of Carl Rove and the Tea Party, before those who pay for our demise  will become the ruling class of our free Society, at an even greater risk to the working poor and middle class.

If we do not stop them now, then it isn’t just the gay community who will continue to lose their equality under the law but all of us who will lose our equality in a Democracy,as well. These bigots really do want to take us back to the Revolutionary war era and do not call themselves Patriot groups because they have the rights of the working class at heart.  All we need to ask ourselves is what jobs bill have the Republican majority offered or passed in 10 years or what jobs are they offering us, the working poor or middle class that they keep talking about, Mitt Romney included? Vote to stop their drive to deny ”We the People” our equality in November by voting out the Republicans in our States and in Washington, while we still hold the power over them.

The Romneys Overheard

When Mitt and Anne Romney showed up for their recent $50,000.00 a person fund raiser, Garrett Haake of NBC was rewarded with an opportunity seldom heard by the press. The press are never invited to private fund raisers but it is a common practice that a few reporters will show up outside in event they have an opportunity to pick up some information.

Garrett Haake got the opportunity to do just this when he was able to listen into the Romney fund raiser along with another reporter quite by accident.With a question and answer session taking place in an outdoor tent, it was not difficult to do. Garrett Haake of NBC then reported the following:

After the Republican Party acted in “Outrage” about the Hilary Rosen statement, a very happy and delighted Ann Romney was overheard to say.” that she felt as though she had been given an early birthday gift when Hilary attacked her motherhood.”

Mitt Romney himself told his would be supporters,”I have no interest in telling the truth in my campaign as I did that when running against Ted Kennedy in Massachusetts, when I announced that I would close down the Dept. of education and it proved to be a disaster.”

He went on to say,” I would never tell the voters this, but I am telling my supporters this, and once I am elected to the office of President I will make it my goal to shut down HUD entirely and emmerge the Dept. of education into another Dept. without closing it entirely.” “This information is to remain secret as I have found out that to tell the truth does not pay.” At this same fundraiser he promised that he would lower the taxes on the wealthy by another 5 trillion dollars. Of course to do this only adds 5 trillion dollars more to the deficit.

While Mitt claims that he will balance the budget and hire back the American worker, when he is campaigning and speaking to the American people,his history as Govenor and at Baine Capital, is one of laying off people at higher levels and with benefits and instead opening up jobs for people at far less pay and without benefits. While the Republicans continue to blame President OBama for the 14 trillion dollar deficit they refuse to acknowledge that the Congress that they have controlled since 2010 hold the purse strings to spending.

The Statements made by Mitt, would be bad enough if it had not been for the fact that these are the areas where the Republican Party, and Mitt Romney especially, have spent weeks attacking the OBama Administration on. Anyone that does not know the extent the Hilary Rosen statement outraged both Parties, myself included by now, and the benefits that the Republican Party gained from it, then apparently have not turned into the news. To find out that they felt it a birthday gift and actually celebrated it, at the same time voicing outrage, should not surprise any of us about the Republican Party.

Mitt Romney made a great deal of President OBama’s open mike comment when in Russia and campaigned energetically on the moment. Foreign policy is one area that it has been established that all Presidents must operate in secrecy without showing their hand to the enemy. However, when it comes to elections and campaigns to openly lie to the American people on which areas of government the candidate plans on closing down is simply lying. There is no other way around it.

The office of housing for urban development or commonly know as HUD has and does deal with the poor who are mainly minority and are the families that Mitt Romney previously has said.”he does not care about as they have a safety net already.” This is mainly a group that do not vote Republican but instead vote for the Democrats. HUD is one of those safety nets whose job it is to protect the poor against the greed of Apartment owners.

At a time when the young and upperwardly mobile people are moving downtown and remodeling and buying into areas that have prominently been held by the working poor, who do not have transportation nor can afford to live in the suburbs, many would say that HUD is not doing enough to protect the poor against the ever rising rents that seem to have no limits on where they are going.

The Republicans make no bones about their resentment of the aide given to both the poor and single moms while saying nothing about The huge amounts given to Corporate welfare. When it cost less to buy a condo than it does to rent one then we do know that the restraints or safety net for the poor has become a joke.

We also know that this Republican campaign, where Michelle Bachman has said ,”The Republicans are the Party that really care about women” is just another “Tea Party darling,” lie. The real affront to women are these ‘also ran Tea Party sponsored candidates”, who continuely try to assault the intelligence of the American people. It is as if when they lose, they are kept around to tell lies that are offensive to all of us who really do care about the future of women and the middle class.

When Mitt Romney and the Republican Party claim that they care about women issues and that the “War on Women” is just a lie started by the Democrats, then we do not need to look any further than the statements made by Mitt Romney at his fundraiser when he said, “He would never tell the American voter this and telling the truth does not pay.”

When we add to that: the pure hypocrisy that the same Party that denies it, is trying to stop birth control while they promote lies against Planned Parenthood, who takes care of the health issues of both the working poor and single Moms, and Mitt Romney has said,”Planned Parenthood, I will get rid of that”;The Star of the Conservative right and Tea Party,Rick Santorum, who in 2005 and again while campaigning, long before they yelled “Religious rights,” said,”he believed all the States should have the right to ban birth control regardless because it is just Plain wrong,” and still the Republicans deny their efforts to ban birth control.

In States like Arizona and Kansas the Republican legislature moved to ban birth control outright;The Tea Party sponsored Govenor of Virginia tried to make the vaginal probe law and then later tried to unsuccessfully deny it; the Republicans openly try to deny aide to single moms, who are not receiving child support from dead beat dads, and then use the argument,”If they cannot afford to have children then they shouldn’t have them,” and the list goes so much further; how can any rational human being doubt that the Republicans are not the Party who favor women? Also after the Republican Party tries to deny women both birth control and the majority of Republicans vote against a fair wage with equal pay so that women have an ability to raise their family and rise up above poverty, do any of us even need to deny that women are under attack by the Republican Party?

It is part of the old Carl Rove strategy as well, when caught in our lies just deny,deny and then deny again. Most of us, who are old enough, remember when Richard Nixon did the same when caught red-handed with the Watergate break in.We all know how well that didn’t turn out.

If the only way the Republicans can win is on the lies of Mitt Romney and by trying to elect a “hatchet man” to do away with the government offices that protect “We the People” then isn’t it time to eliminate the Republicans? We neither need to point out the truth or argue with the Republicans in regards to their denying rights to women because the facts speak for themselves whether Democrats declare it a war or not. It is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans who will vote,because we are not stupid, nor do we go into denial when we know we are being lied to. Vote for Truth and Fairness in November.

“Never Worked A Day In Her Life”

My message today is to you, Hilary Rosen, as I do know and understand that you have made three appearances on CNN to explain yourself and said you simply miss spoke. “You apologized to Ann Romney and have respect for her and all women who are fortunate enough to stay home but you were standing by your statement, that women who have the luxury of staying home do not face political problems that women who do work out of the home do face, so therefore they do not know the problems of working women,” or words to that effect. I do not doubt your sincerity.

Please allow me to explain to you, however, that we women who do not work out of the home,as a rule, have had many of the same experiences that women face who do need to work. Many of us held jobs and tried to climb that ladder previously to starting our families. Others of us held down jobs while trying to balance family and career.

Many times during recessions and lay offs of our own, we did find we could afford to stay home if we learned to fix meals from scratch. If we could stretch a roast into both a stew and beef and noodles we could save the money that was going out of the home while we worked, on prepared foods or fast food pickup. Eating out only happens on an anniversary and then only when we have a family member that will babysit. We found that we did not need to shop and buy clothing for the job or pay daycare and saved in the process the money we were spending in child care and clothing. We made do with what we had while we worked and spent our time instead picking up your child because you were going out for a drink with the girls.

We no longer could afford to meet for lunch or a drink,as “wine in a box”, became a luxury when we did find ourselves unable to find work. We are not women of luxury that made the choice to stay home in many cases. Most of us are not pleased with the sacrifices that we have to make just because our husbands are paid more than what we can make. Many of us dream of the day that the children are in school and we can go back to work.

Some of us who have disabled children cannot find the appropiate daycare services that will not neglect our child. If we did not have, Head Start, then we would have even less hope for the future of our child. Many of us run charitible groups in which we act as CEO’s,run in political fields such as school boards or city hall where our time and work is free,sit on hospital boards,do Red Cross blood mobiles,read at libraries, assist at schools or simply do the painting in your homes or help you decorate even when we cannot afford to do so in our own homes. We are the member of the family that inherits the elderly parent,drops everything when a family member gets sick, or if a neighbor requires help because we do not have the luxury of a paying job. We do know the real aggravation of promises made and not followed through on.

More than anything else we do know and do understand the problems of the workng moms because so many of you think we have nothing more to do than hold your hands while we listen to the problems working Moms face while you cry on our shoulders about the problems you are dealing with on the job or the guilt you face for leaving your child at home. When you take a sick day you can sometimes do little to nothing or even go shopping while your child is in daycare but we do not have that luxury as we neither have time or money to do so.

We are ever cognizant of the fact that our jobs last 24/7 and that we never get a sick day. We are expected to be here or there while you work 8 to 10 hours a day on the job. We all work in charitible organizations and in our community. Your child comes to our home when you are not going to be able to make it home. We head up the car pools and act as chaperones from speech to dance to sports. The things that you feel guilty that you cannot be home to do,we are worn out by doing them.

Weeks go by when the only companionship we have is the conversation of children. We long to have an adult conversation and when we do finally get to have one we listen to working women bitch about their jobs. Many times we have to ask if we will ever find time to read a good book and if we do,it is late at night to the point we stay up way too late reading and regret it the next day, no different from what you do. I won’t even begin trying to explain to you what it is like when we have disabilities and are trying to raise our family,help in the community, and take your turn to help out with your children’s school,errands you cannot run, and your children afterschool arrivals and parties, usually hosted in our homes.

The unfortunate part of the statement that you made about Ann Romney never having “worked a day in her life” is the same insane statement that many of us stay at home Moms have heard time and time again. I am a firm believer that the Freudian slip is real and those words do escape the mouths of way too many working Moms.

It is what helps destroy the mentality towards a woman’s right to choose. It brands us as women and seperates us from what should be the common goals of all women. Regardless of the circumstances of our lives, we do need to understand that we all need to stand together to stop the denial of our rights to choose for ourselves. We women when we get away from our own little catty groups
or cliques do understand women and the problems all of us face.

It is my sincere hope that you do let go of your insistence that the stay at home Mom has no idea of what women face in the work force. If you only knew how many times I held the hands of working women and offered advice because I had been there and done that, then you would get over this attitude of luxury and “stay at home moms.” The great majority of us are much more tuned into the strife of the” working Mom” than the working Mom is tuned into the “stay at home Mom.” If we bitch to you we may have to bitch about the slack we pick up because you work and women simply do not want to hear that.

Unless we women all understand these misconceptions amongst ourselves is what gives feminists a dirty name and divides us as women, along with giving Mitt Romney and the Republicans more fodder on which to base their lies, we will not be able to stop this insane drive enacted on us by both the Republican Conservatives and Tea Party. Their efforts to take all women back to the 1950′s before the Equal Rights Amendment was passed for each and all of us, is an affront to all women, regardless of our circumstances in life.

Who does what or knows what or understands what is what divides us as women. It is as petty as it sounds and we need to stop it now or we will all lose! Vote for the equal rights of all women in November. Re-elect our President Barack OBama, who really does care about women’s issues.

Conservative Feminists

The movement known as, ‘Conservative Feminists’, is nothing more than the same smoke screen thrown up by all Conservatives.  The women are trained and brain washed,  in the same ideology of the Conservative movement, to up hold the same by laws as their male counterparts and to eliminate birth control and to bring women back to the wedding altar, as virgins, through marriage. By keeping women uneducated and pregnant at home, they believe women will not compete with the white maLe for the jobs they feel white males are entitled to. 

The Conservative feminists are trained to eliminate government and in doing so to eliminate the Equal Rights Amendment that makes women equal to men in all specters of Society from financial,job,family planning, and when using their own voice to choose their own health issues. They are as committed to elimininate Unions and minimum wage as the male Conservative.

After generations of the Conservatives fighting against the so called liberal Feminists, who fought for and won the Equal Rights Amendment for all genders and minorities, the Conservatives are simply adopting the name feminist to establish women in politics. They think by acquiescing to the name feminists, they will be able to gain the vote of minorities, the middle class, working poor and women. 

These women are trained to eliminate taxes, government that protects the rights and hires the rest of us and to promote free Interprise at the expense of the 99%.  Make no mistake about it, these new Conservative feminists will not be able to stray from the concepts established by their male counterparts.

 

By using the name feminists they are attempting to fool women voters into believing that they too are fighting for the equality of women. 

Sadly, it is just an attempt to endoctrinate women who will help the white male race establish an image of being something more than the”Good Old Boy” system when they run for election. Any woman who calls herself a Conservative Feminist and gains election, will not find support by the Conservative majority, in any party, if she fights for the equal rights of minorities, gays, women,the working poor or the middle class. 

The appointment of Supreme Court Justices either in our States or on the Supreme Court of America, who will protect the rights of women to choose their own destiny, will be equally challenged by these Conservative feminists as they are by their male counterparts. Under no cicumstance will the voice of the Conservative Feminists be heard over that of the”Good Old Boys.” They are simply a smoke screen to gain the vote of women who are the majority voters in America.

When we reach the point in America that a Federal judge from Billings Montana by the name of Cebull can send out an e-mail on the Federal level, suggesting that President OBama’s mother had sex with a dog and Rick Santorum says the same about the gay population while The Conservative spokesman Rush Limbaugh, can accuse a student from Georgetown University, who stood up for the rights of all women a slut, then it is way past time that we as a Nation do understand the corrosion being done to our Society by these Conservatives.

Anyone group or business who would support either should be boycotted by all of us. We the tax payers who pay for the radio station to the military that carries Rush Limbaugh should protest to our Elected officials for our tax dollars going towards providing the military with Rush Limbaugh’s bigotted lies and views often reported as such. If we do not speak up then this hate will continue spreading across this beautiful land that we call America.

Mitt Romney certainly is not the candidate to bring God back to America, as he suggests,when his own Religious beliefs refuses to accept abuse of children and women as being a reality, any more than those bigots who would represent justice in America are the people we need to retain as judges. It is time that we eliminate all the bigots before they eliminate our rights to the freedom we are entitled to, while they accuse government of their own destruction to Society.

If we don’t think it can happen we only need to look at the destruction done to our fellow citizens, livelyhood,property, and reputations not to mention Liberty during the McCarthy era when these Conservative ran groups were equally damaging to both the truth and Freedom of our fellow citizens.

Sure they blame a comedian from the left of being no different, and I agree that the name calling does need to stop but does anyone take a comedian as seriously as those amongst us take those who have the power or influence over our lives that Rush Limbaugh has over his dedicated listeners or that of a Federal judge who does and will hand out his corrupt idea of Justice?

Don’t be fooled in your State or National elections by thinking that just because the candidates are women that they will represent the views of women.  These Conservative Feminists are finding support from both the Tea Party and Conservatives, once they are trained in the image of a true Tea Party and Conservative candidate. They are as politically dangerous to  Democracy and the freedom of all Americans as their male counter parts. 

We all need to check them out before voting in both our State and the National election, this election year.

 

 I think you will find that they will not be as obviously naive and ignorant as Sarah Palin was when it comes to how the game of lies works within the Conservative movement. It was when Sarah Palin spoke without being guided sufficiently by them that they found they had an embarrassment on their hands. 

These new Conservative feminists will be much better trained to fool the majority of voters who do not typically vote for a Conservative candidate. The “Good Old Boys” learned their lesson with Sarah Palin and will not repeat that mistake again. Many feel that when Sarah Palin was chosen as McCaine’s Vice President, it cost the Republicans a loss of 15% of the womens’ vote and tied up the election for Barack OBama in 2008. Others say, “that is nonsense, as Barack OBama would have won irregardless of the loss of women voting for McCain after he chose Sarah Palin and is typically Republican bull.”

The real guarantee for the continuation of Democracy is to re-elect Barack OBama in November with a strong moderate constituency.  Don’t think for a moment that there will be any separation in the elimination of the Equal rights Amendment between Rick Santorum or Mitt Romney.  Mitt Romney has as big of a debt to pay back to both the Tea Party and Conservatives, at this point, as does Rick Santorum.

The Conservative view has always represented the Mormon view of women being second class citizens, as well.  There is no separation in the views of the two Republican candidates for President, when it comes to the denial of rights to women,gays, and minorities.  The Mormon Church banned African Americans well into the second half of the 20th century. They also spent billions to stop the Equal Rights Amendment from passing between 1921 to 1971. Mitt, as Bishop in his Church, has an obligation to revoke it just as Rick Santorum believes he does, although that is not an universal view in the Catholic Church.

It has never been more important than what it is this election year to educate ourselves, on what is the truth, about the candidates who will serve our States and Washington D.C. We need to educate ourselves,trust our own judgement when we do, and pay attention to the contradictions that will come out of the mouths of all of the Conservative candidates, as well as, the Republican candidates in our States, who are running on the same old, same old, Bush idea of the 1% getting richer.

The 99%, who the 1% hire until they no longer need them while refusing the majority benefits, can no longer afford to care for the needs of their families when they elect these politicians, regardless of gender, who masquerade as wolves in sheep’s clothing;nor will theDemocracy that I have enjoyed last. Vote wisely in November.

The Conservative Need to Control

In Griswold vs. Connecticut the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that the use of contraceptives could not be prohibited by any State and that is was a private matter protected by the clause in the 14th Amendment. The use of contraceptives is a personal decision granted to American citizens.

In Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court made it clear that abortion is a personal decision and a woman’s right and should be made between a woman and her Doctor.

The Conservative movement in America is screaming about Government being in the bedroom but in truth it is they who have filed case after case with Conservative judges to the point that the number of cases in the Court system are backlogged when it comes to their attempts to control sex and birth control in America. They are spending today and tomorrow at their annual meeting to firm up their decision to who can best control us as a Nation.

The Conservatives constant interference into the private rights of American citizens should be a concern to all of us, as it boils down to a bunch of white males or “Good Old Boys” and 33% of the American population, who have become so involved into denying the private rights of American citizens, to the point they have lost all touch with reality in most cases.

Their lack of respect for the Constitution and Supreme Court that grants the private rights of women and gays has made them totally disrespectful towards both. They are telling both women and gays that we do not have a right to enjoy the freedom granted us by law and under the Constitution of America. In their back rooms they practice bigotry and hate towards other nationalities and beliefs, in the most bigoted manner, while they deny that prejudice exist in America.

It is this hate in them along with their obsession over the sexual act itself that is destroying the Democracy that we all have a right to enjoy. All four candidates running on the Republican ticket are leaning so far right as to curry the favor of the Conservatives to the point they are making a mockery out of our Constitution and the Supreme Court that was given the clear power to grant us the rights of Freedom to choose for ourselves.

When a couple of Catholic Bishops complained that Religious rights had never been so stepped on by President OBama it was nothing more than the same old smoke screen thrown up every time that the Christian Churches in America become concerned that their right to control women is slipping.

Since 98% of sexually active Catholics use birth control and since the Church cannot force them to not use it, they are trying to force government to ban all contraception used by women, and in the process, deny all women their Constitutional right to their own health issues.

It is Religion interfering into government while President OBama is insisting that women’s healthcare needs are as important as men’s. In Griswold vs. Connecticut it is specifically spelled out that no State under the 14th amendment can deny women the coverage of insurance for contraception.

Since our forefathers clearly formed the Constitution making both separation of Church and State law as well as the decisions of the Supreme Court the last law of the land including over Religion, then it is religion that is transgressing over the law of separation of Church and State in their efforts to force government to abide by their teachings.

Pro choice is not pro abortion but instead the choice of women to determine their own health issues. The Churches promote the label of pro-choice being pro abortion when it is instead the right of women to ensure The Equal Rights Amendment that guarantees women the right to make decisions on their own bodies and health issues. It is not only abortion that the Churches are fighting against as it is the use of all contraception by women, through forcing the government to do what they cannot do in their own Churches, they are clearly trying to usurp the authority of our Constitution and Supreme Court decisions.

We experienced the same thing with labeling by the Conservative attacks against the liberals during the McGovern years. Since then the word Liberal or Progressive has been held in the same position and demonized as a product of Satan, amongst the Conservatives; To think that in the year 2012,anyone who wanted to advance the cause of women, gays and minorities would be branded as sinner and destructive towards Religious rights, blows the minds of most free thinking and rational people.

I have already reported 28 States have already made in mandatory that Religious Institutions provide contraception for women. The largest Catholic University in America. Depaul University, along with numberous other Catholic Hospitals and Universities have always provided for contraception.

In their efforts to defeat President OBama and swing the vote back to their candidate of choice, Rick Santorum, they threw  up a smoke screen to win and control the elections in the swing States and called out the Evangelicals to assist, and it worked for them. The truth is they do not like Mitt Romney as they think that the Mormon Religion is a cult and not a member of Christianity. Personally, I believe he is every bit as destructive to our right to be free as all the other candidates, as he too claims to do away with contraception. It is banned already in the Mormon Church.

If we have ever been raised Christian then we all know that we are born with an automatic defense system to protect the Church. That is because we are brain washed into believing from almost “day one” that the Church has always been under attack since the day of Christ. We take a Sacrament to protect the Church in some cases, so we become defensive anytime we hear anyone speak against it, even when others know what is being said is nothing more than the simple truth. they have come to rely on that when shoving their candidate of choice onto the American voters.

This is true in most other religions as well. Christianity survived because of the women after Christ death and Resurrection and it was the women of the Church who gave alms to the poor and established much of what would draw Pagans to the Christian Church. that has been lost in the teachings of too many, today.

The need to control women and gays has never been greater than what it is today, across America,by the Conservatives to the point it has reached the point of a sick obsession. Rick Santorum would convince all Americans that the 40% of Americans who are single or from single family homes, are all nothing but losers, and therefore not worthy of the Constitutional rights of the perfect family that consist of both Mom and Dad in a home where the couple are married.

When a candidate like Rick Santorum is their candidate of choice in the year 2012, we can begin to worry until we realize that worry is not necessary when we realize that we are rational and aware. If he is President he has said he will ban the use of all contraception because the libertine movement of women and the use of contraception is just plain wrong. How he plans on doing that with the Supreme Court being the last law of the land, he does not say.

Rick Santorum has also said that gay sex is not same person sex but man on dog sex. He like Michelle Bachman, another Tea Party favorite, would point missiles towards Iran without the use of sanctions or diplomacy. He claims that President OBama is protecting Iran to attack Israel. Clearly this man does not plan to lead by putting the Equality of Americans, truth, or common sense, above his own bigoted views of hate. We are looking at a very disturbed mind indeed, and the people who would vote for such a person are equally disturbed, in my estimation.

Although the polls show that these same 33% of women oppose the use of contraception the other 58% of women believe it to be our own personal right, since it is, and has been established in the Supreme Court. The great majority of us would like to think that if we were being denied our rights of equality we would make certain that the person trying to deny us the same would not be the person we would elect to office of the President.

This seems to go right over the head of some women when they are told to vote their conscience. Unless we have been brainwashed ourself, we cannot possibly understand why women do constantly vote against their own best interests and for inequality, without being made to feel guilty when they do get the courage to do the right thing for all Americans, and demand their own God-given as well as State given right to free will and equality.

It flys into the face of all of us who use our brains to rationalize, that Trump would promote the Birther Belief that these 33% of our population still cling to, when they firmly believe that President Barack OBama is a Muslim and not a citizen of the United States. That is until we realize that Trump is the Master of Paper Capitalism, that got our economy into the mess it is in. Without backing the Birther belief, he stands to lose the Republican support of getting banks to loan him money without collateral or assets to back it. This 33% are being held hostage by the greedy in the Conservative Party, from this brainwashing, to the point that they are trying to remove President OBama’s name from their election ballots in Georgia.

The Republican Party, is being controlled by the Conservatives and Tea Party, and are doing their best to destroy the Democracy that has always made us Great. They believe that their own personal need to control humanity is more recognizable and entitled, than the right granted each of us under the Constitution and the Supreme court.They will not be stopped until they appoint their own judges that will deny all minorities, gays and women equality in America, while promoting their causes.

The Conservative Party, joined by the Tea Party, within the Republican Party in America today,is nothing more than a bunch of Rednecks and Bullies in Suits, who plan to keep their woman in place. The Republicans are arrogant enough to think they, not the working poor or the middle class, have the right to keep us subjugated to them, through lowering our standards of living and denying us both the Unions that protect our wages and working conditions, while they eliminate the Government Departments that protect our rights and offer us jobs.

The Conservatives can be likened to a bunch of people who go out and eat an expensive meal which they may pay $300.00 a person for, and then come home and try to deny the baby sitter the $10.00 that she has earned by giving her $6.50 instead. They feel that they are the entitled amongst us and therefore they have a right to deny the rest of us our just due.

They have taken their religious convictions into the political arena to the point their real and only political zeal in to deny the rest of us both our God-given rights as well as our State given rights. When we are told it is a matter of conscience, what they really mean, it is a matter of conscience as long as we agree with their interpretation of the same. When we don’t, they will do everything in their power to pass laws and to block us from the equality that is our right to own.

Since the Conservative base only makes up a third of our Nation,but they have to throw up more smoke screens to upset us as a Nation and use their politicians, such as Boehner to yell louder about the injustices of President Obama against Religious rights, while they block legislation to improve the lives of small businesses, the working poor, and the middle class. The Republican Party itself has grown to 70% of Conservatives, in the last 10 years and that explains the ruination of the Republican Party to get any agreement on anything.

All this hate is to convince Americans the Conservatives and Tea Party base, are the moral majority with the right to control the lives of the rest of us. Sadly, they instead are promoting hate through their sick obsession to control the human race on their terms, and by denying all of us both our God given as well as our State given rights to free will and the pursuit of happiness, while calling President OBama dangerous.

It is time we stop all the upset and drama being created by the Conservatives and Tea Party, so we can get back to solving the problems that our wounded Nation needs us to do, by electing those Democrats who will work for us, and with our President that we elect. Make sure before you do that you check their voting record out, as 20% of the Democratic Party are Conservative, as well as, a few lean so left that they create stunned growth as well.

We Americans always have been and always will be the strongest, without these Redneck Bullies trying to control our lives and destroying our freedoms. We need to eliminate their little band of thugs, at the election polls in November.
