The Herd Mentality

In the beginning of mankind it was necessary for us to form together in a herd just as it is for animals to form herds and to gather together in flocks for survival.  A group of people or a tribe could defend against danger or against predators more effectively if they maintained a large group or herd.

They could forage together more effectively for roots,grains and berries,hunting that provided the meat, and gather together for warmth. Absolutely everything was shared by the group with a leader chosen by them to lead and he,because rarely was a woman trusted as a leader,was entitled pretty much  to anything he felt entitled to, as long as he kept the needs of the people first. He would always be served first before the group and any gem stones,feathers,or tools made were presented to him first before the others could share the spoils.  Just as the animal world has a hierarchy so did mankind.

In the animal world the male fights for the position against the weaker and the same was often true in the early days of mankind until after mankind advanced enough to the point that the title of leader was then passed down to the first borned son, generation after generation. Long before there was a government, long before there were Democracies,long before politics and political Parties, long before there was a Republican Party who referred to working together and picking a just leader of the people, who made sure the people were provided for,Socialism; mankind depended on a just and fair leader of the people. The people in return rewarded their leaders, so to declare as Mitt Romney did that the people were jealous of his wealth, made as much sense as too many other ridiculous statements he made in his campaign.In a civilized World today we still need leaders who care as much for the needs of the people as they did then, even though we no longer need to gather together in herds for our survival.

The protests that we often see in the Streets of a free Nation only arise because the people feel that they are being disenfranchised or starved to death by leadership.  The fact that the Republican Party with the help of the media, such as Fox News, only scoffed at the Occupy movement moving across America to stop the greed of the 1% over the needs of the 99%, has a great deal to do with why the Republican Party lost the election this year.  They had become so accustomed to ignoring the needs of the workers that they apparently felt they could run any candidate that they wanted to that would bend to the wishes of the far right and we the poor and middle class would succumb to their wishes because they used the herd mentality against their followers by whipping them into a feeding frenzy against President Obama.

So convinced were they that the deck was stacked in their favor to win that even when they lost Paul Ryan said,”We only lost because of the turn out in the Urban area” while denying they lost 40% of the over 55 vote,the youth vote, the women’s vote in the suburban areas,the gay vote,the Asian vote,the Hispanic vote,the Jewish vote, as well as the agriculture and blue-collar vote in States like New Hampshire,Iowa,Colorado, and Ohio as well.  They even lost the Catholic vote as well as both Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney lost their own home States, and yet in their denial, they are still trying to claim they ran a good campaign.

None of us are so stupid that we do not realize that when Republicans like Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney speak of the Urban vote they are talking about the poor and the African-American vote and when they insult one of us they insult all of us.  We know that first and foremost, we all are Americans together, and the Republicans are not granted leadership unless the American majority,made up of all American minorities, say they are our choice.

They cannot divide us even while they claim that our President is responsible for doing so. When Mitt Romney in his continued arrogance claimed they only lost because of the gifts (Obama care) given to those in the Urban area and free birth control to the young women, by President Obama, he only added more insults to the already bruised majority of us combined, who voted against the arrogance of the Republican Party as much as we voted in favor of the man we felt could better care for all of the American people.

If the GOP continues to refuse to accept the fact that they cannot run a bunch of clowns who are not interested in the people but instead pretend they are by spending billions of dollars and making voting against those who will not vote for them,as miserable as possible, they will continue to lose.  The middle class has lost too much income while the wealth of the wealthy has grown,for to long for the Republican Party to think they can continue to disenfranchise us as a group.

Modern mankind, often led by women who are also the majority voters, will not be fooled into subjection by their leaders, on a pact of lies and  billions of dollars. Adding conservative women to your party that are led by the beliefs of the far right will not fool those of us who do know that we are as equal as anyone else in America. The GOP’s problem runs much deeper than just winning back the Latino/Hispanic voters.  As Haley Barbour said,”The GOP needs to find a good Proctologist”, or as I say,” they need to get their heads out of their b….s long enough to understand they lost overwhelmingly,” and we both mean the same thing.  Republicans lost this election because they offered nothing different from what we have been paying for the last decade and will be paying for  generations to come,  and because we are not a right-wing Nation who denies equality to its people.

The blue-collar workers cannot be forced into giving up their Unions in favor for less pay and longer hours under the Republican control in our States,nor can they continue to fire teachers,policemen, and firemen and then expect our votes.  They may have won 53% of the white vote but basically that is about all they won and with those numbers they lost. It is no one’s fault but their own so it is time they quit making ugly excuses instead.  It is time that men like John McCain accepts that he lost in 2008 and give his along with the bigots like John Sununu, in the Republican Party, bitterness from his and their lost, a rest.

If the GOP wants to continue with their insistence that women are denied the right of equality to their own bodies while they try to win back the Latino/Hispanic vote while dismissing the rest of the minorities in America, they are going to continue to lose because just as the leadership in early mankind needed to be ever cognizant of the needs of the members in the herd,or be threatened by the uprise of the herd, today’s leadership needs to be aware of the fact that the needs of the people are fair and just as well.

We may be modern mankind with all of our own flaws but we still recognize a group of Bullshippers when we see and hear them.  You lost Republicans so lick your wounds and start rebuilding a Party that reflects the needs of the people over your own greed and run legitimate candidates with legitimate concerns for the people of all races,genders,gender orientations,and religious beliefs, over the lobbyists and the bigots, and you will again win over the vote of some of the people who do accept the needs of capitalism to grow as well.

Capitalism cannot continue to stockpile trillions while the workers go without food and homes and then turn around and  expect the workers to vote for the Republican Party who protects Wall Street at the expense of the people.  You lost, accept it, and get to work rebuilding a respectable Party over the disaster based in greed that you now own.  You fooled no one but a few but mainly yourselves.  The truth hurts sometimes but only when we own it can we make necessary improvements towards change in ourselves.  No one doubts that the GOP needs to tear down their structure and rebuild except those of you who march to the drum of  Carl Rove,Grover Norquist, the Tea Party, and the far right,still.

Good Luck and get to work adding moderates to your Party because the angry old white men are a dying breed and it is time you all learn to accept it. We do want to see two healthy political parties again,but it must be based on the needs of the people and have some truth in what it tells the people as well as the needs of capitalism, with a genuine leader at its helm.  We the voters are not going away.  Once burnt twice learned.  We do not need another Bush as in Jeb Bush, either. We are sincere in our wishes to see the Republican Party and their platform rebuilt on reality and on a new foundation. Once we do, and are convinced the people matter, then some of the voters will return to the GOP.

Common Sense Is Over-ridden by Hate

I offer my deepest sympathy once more to those who are suffering the pain of a senseless act of violence in the name of hate.  Do not ask yourself what you did wrong but instead understand that the fight in America to maintain the superiority of the white heterosexual male race over all women,the gay and transgender population, minorities,non-Christians, or immigrants finds it’s roots in the “Good Old Boy “system.  It is alive and well in both the Tea Party and Conservative movements across America.

Sadly this same system has promoted and bred discrimination against everyone from the equality of all women to all people of different colors of skin and all Americans who are non-Christians.  They are much too gentlemanly to openly discuss bigotry but instead they deny that it even exist while they  welcome the white supremacists, the NRA, and anyone who claims to represent a Christian group, who hate all Liberals who believe in acceptance of all Americans, into their conventions or CPAC where hate is practiced and encouraged.

The answer to the insanity of hate that spreads across America is that unstable Americans who feel that they are discriminated against due to their own failure to succeed or do not fit in are being recruited by hate groups who have grown into a thousand in number across the United States of America.  The groups have almost doubled in size since the election of President Obama who is African-American and not considered fit to be one of “the Good Old Boys.”  The Leaders of these Patriot or Hate groups feed these unstable individuals with so much hate against diversity being acceptable in America that when the leaders fail to act out in violence these misfits do act out through horrendous destructive acts of frustration.  The Leaders of these groups count on it.

To use common sense,” as to why would we Americans then not make gun laws more strict to stop this escalation of hate from arming themselves”, is to have the most hated view of all  and is threatening to these misfits ability to arm themselves in these acts of violence, amongst these groups.  The NRA along with the right-wing hate groups yell that the Liberals of America are denying them their Constitutional right to bear arms.

They know as we do that the right to bear arms was given by our founding Fathers to allow Americans to hunt game animals; the NRA and hate groups promote the use of guns to use at the discretion of unstable and disgruntled Americans,knowing full well that this ammunition and these guns would blow game animals to smithereens and are useless for the reason our founding Fathers gave us the right to bear arms.  At no time has any politician denied the American people the right to hunt in season or to defend themselves but neither does the Constitution or any laws give anyone else the right to use guns against the innocents in the American population.

The view  that our second amendment rights to bear arms is being denied by the Liberals is stressed and fed as the lie that it is to the unstable and disgruntled by the leadership of all hate groups and most especially by the NRA. The hate, against anyone who would control assault weapons or what is known as liberal thinking, is escalating amongst the right-wing politicians and the Tea Party,  who govern us as well.  Sadly the NRA lobbyists who threaten to defeat these politicians if they do vote in favor of gun control laws are intimidating those who we depend on to make us safe.  Instead we just buy more weapons and escalate the violence in our own homes and communities.

The NRA pumps millions into the Republican Party with both dollars and lies and “We the People” are supposed to lose all touch of common sense and human decency by pretending it is right for us to continue electing these same Republicans and a handful of Democrats.

Those who are questioning what they did wrong should instead question when will we demand that the politicians in Washington and our States start working for “We the People?” When President Obama says he would support gun control laws but the current Congress will not, he is telling us the truth.

Truth seems to be an ill-conceived word or action in the Republican campaign field along with common sense, these days, when we listen to the Republicans calling Harry Reid a “Dirty Liar,” at the same time Mitt Romney is telling the military that the Obama lawsuit in Ohio is to ban them from early voting. Today he traveled to Illinois and told the voters that President Obama is dismantling the welfare program that was Passed by Clinton that puts welfare recipients to work.

The truth again is that the lawsuit fights for all people in America to be able to vote early.  Mitt Romney is actually the one who  has advocated dismantling the work program in Welfare and doing away with the food stamps. President  Obama has never advocated either at any time.The proof that Mitt Romney has done so, is being sent out to the Democratic supporters today, by the Obama campaign headquarters.

Has Mitt Romney ever told any of us the truth?  He either claims he likes his privacy and refuses to answer our questions or goes to swing States where he spreads” prepared for him,” half-truths or out-and-out lies. He was willing to show John McCain 20 years of his tax returns but denies, “We the People,” the same rights that we are entitled to know. Those tax returns are already printed out as was seen by John McCain when he refused to elect Mitt Romney as his Vice Presidents and any claims of difficulty to now present them in just more of the Romneyhood delay tactics.

How dare the Republicans call Harry Reid a liar without facts, themselves. The right for all Americans except Military, is currently being denied in the voter restrictions placed into law by the Tea Party governors and the Republican Party in our States.  The Obama Administration is fighting for both the military as well as all Americans, regardless of race,gender,creed or color, to be able to vote early.

It is way past time that “We the People” give both truth and common sense the respect it deserves by voting out the Republicans and the few Conservative Democrats who refuse to fight for human decency, and for laws that will protect the safety and equality of all Americans.  We all , the working poor and middle class as well, have the inalienable right guaranteed to us under our Constitution regardless of Religion,Race,Gender,sexual preference, or Color  to expect equality as well as safety  in our own religious communities,places of commerce, and in our own neighborhoods;Despite  what the Republicans tell us, these are not entitlements to be discarded by them or disregard for Religious Rights, but instead the inalienable rights of all Americans regardless of race,creed,gender,sexual preference, or color. Vote in November.

The John Birch Society–The Tea Party

One of the reasons the conversations are similar today, as I wrote in my comment yesterday, as they were in the 1960′s when the civil rights were being passed and Barry Goldwater was running for election against LBJ is because the John Birch society and the Tea party used the same tactics. It is not out of the question to think they are the one and the same. The John Birch Society commonly used names that appeared respectable when fighting for its causes even though their fight was anything but honest or respectful. Glen Beck is rumored to be their new head and of course their spokes person. Sarah Palin then, of course, is their paid speaker.

The John Birch Society was named after John Birch, a Baptist fundamentalist missionary preacher, by the candy maker Robert Welsh Jr. who began The John Birch Society. Welsh claimed they had as many as 100,000 members in the 1960′s, and unlike other volunteer organizations, their volunteer forces have always had their expenses paid and therefore can afford to travel and march in their protests.

He claimed to be set up in the colleges of all 50 states in the 1960′s. According to conservative William F. Buckley,Jr., who began initially but would end up struggling to get rid of him, admiring Welsh, Buckley would later refer to him,” as a Paranoid and idiotic libels.” the John Birch Society all but died out with Welsh in the 1980′s but resurrected itself when George Bush unwittingly announced, “New World Order” in the gulf war and by 1995 they had grown back to 55,000 members.

In the editorial of October 1964 of the Idaho Statesmen newspaper concern was expressed of the saturation of the propaganda being ran on the radio by the John Birch Society. They were running as many as 7000 airings a week at a cost of $10 million dollars a year, of the same propaganda. In the editorial of the Statesmen appeared this, “By virtue of the saturation tactics used, radical reactionary propaganda is producing an impact even on large numbers of people who, themselves, are in no sense extremists or sympathetic to extremists views,……”When day after day they hear distortions of fact and sinister charges against persons or groups often coming from organizations with respectable sounding but conspicuously sounding names, it is no wonder that the result is confusion on some important public issues; stimulation of latent prejudices;creation of suspicion, fear and mistrust in relationship not only to their representatives in government, but even in relation to their neighbors.” It went on to report that there have been spying, stoning and bombings and nocturnal phone calls. This same type of saturation of ads and phone calls would be placed years later in an effort to defeat the healthcare bill.

The John Birch society as did the McCarthy era saw a communist behind every tree and would enrage moderate Republicans by saying Dwight D. Eisenhower was communist along with the Democrats when he would later accuse both Truman and Roosevelt of being communists. That’s why so much of this nonsense of the Democrats working towards socialism and communism is repeating itself today through the Tea Party and on the airways and Facebook along with other social networks. The Tea Party is either an organization of the John Birch Society or is acting in the best interests of The John Birch Society.

They believe that Religion, not government or “we the people”, was intended to run our Country by the founding Fathers. Until they are able to replace government with religion they will never stop. Since they by their own right have never appeared to have empty pockets and are supported by many Churches to gain power over the government there appears to be no end to the destruction they can do to American Freedom as well as the constitution.

Currently 6 candidates of the Republican primaries, that have been unknowns supported by the Tea Party, have won their primary elections, this year only, but prior to this no one has kept a record. The acts of spying against the opposition and looking for real and imagined dirt against their opposition has been common practice along with their donations of money and free campaign advertising.

The John Birch Society fought dirty to stop and prevent both the civil rights acts as well as the equal rights amendment with the Churches in the 1960′s and are back stronger than ever if you saw the million person crowd on Sat. Of course we do need to take into consideration today that many groups with pockets as deep as the John Birch society pay for Canadians as well as foreigners to show up at marches or public places, and probably a third of the crowd would have been both these paid people as well as reporters, and people just naturally curious. Nor do we know how many of the Churches would have encouraged their parishioners to show up ,unwittingly, to attend and add to the numbers.

Volunteers from 50 States for both the Tea Party as well as the John Birch society (they maybe the same) all would have gotten a paid trip as well as their expenses even though they claim to be a grassroots organization. That is if the Tea party is being backed or supported financially by the John Birch Society according to their 1960′s standards. They claim to be paying their own way but the problem with people that lie is that it is next to impossible to know when they are telling the truth or not. They are claiming to be just regular people like ourselves but those of us that deal in reality know people like us with our wallets as a rule, do not get candidates of our choice elected every time.

In the 1960′s the John Birch Society began and trained its own armed and trained military to fight the communists that hide everywhere amongst us according to their own paranoid delusions that are now being repeated, as I said, both on the airways as well as the social networks, and named their armed military the “minute men”. Do you see any connection with that name and “The Tea Party’?

There is so much more that I can write about the irrationale of both the John Birch society as well as the Tea Party but only those that want to hear the truth will read this and you will also be the ones to also check it out for yourself, so I will just warn Americans, one more time. If you value your Democracy make sure you know who you vote for in November. We are as close as we have ever been to being told how we can live, who we can marry, who will be educated, who will work, where they will work, and what you will believe.

I recommended for years when women could not afford counseling, and had confided in me about being abused by their husbands that they see their ministers. Sadly it did not seem to matter which religion they belonged to, they would come back and tell me they were told that divorce was against their religion and instead told to work harder on being a good wife or to pray on it. Divorce was out of the picture. Is it any wonder, while society criticises them for remaining in the abusive situation, that they choose to stay instead of renouncing their religion or having their religion renounce them?

During the Christian Crusades of 1000 AD all people were rounded up and jailed until they professed to be Christians or killed out right if they refused to renounce their own Religion in favor of Christianity. A growing number of the right-wing conservatives believe that America was founded on Christian values and as such the Churches not “We the People” should be running our Country. Not unlike what has taken place in the Middle East for Centuries. For those of you that would prefer to believe it could never happen here or that I am some kind of radical nut, Do you really want to find out if it can or if I am?

We Americans Are Better Than That

The thing that I hate the worse about the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, and Rush Limbaughs of our Country is that they all make the rest of us look as though we are a Nation of hate mongers, whiners,groaners, quitters and spoiled brats when we are anything but that. Americans have never been that. We are and always have been, a Nation of proud people, invention and hard workers who join together in a time of crises to help each other. We are the people who dismiss people who tell us that it can’t be done and instead show them that yes it can be done.

What exactly was the point of gathering at the Lincoln Memorial to bring Honor back to our Country by a group of people who have done nothing but destroy the honor of the American Spirit? How can people who have never shown anything but hate towards the President of our Proud Nation along with their fellow-man bring back honor when they themselves have never owned honor? They are the problem and certainly not the solution to what is causing the division of our Country. At no time have we been more cognizant of the sacrifice and bravery that our young people have shown when they arrived home or went off to war. As a Nation we have been committed to not repeat the mistakes of Viet Nam when it comes to our military families.

Yes, it is a time of struggle that takes great effort and concern to gather our strength to come back with hope for a better and promising future, but we as a Nation are not sitting around smothering ourselves in hatred towards the man in office that did not create the problem. No protests ever lasts longer, than those that are paid to throw up a smoke screen to the real truth,or the ones created by the special interests. It does not make one bit of difference to them what OBama does do or accomplishes they simply are looking for and finding fault in it. In years past when the economy tanked and another Administration came in we were allowed to hope for a better tomorrow while we geared up and got started on it.

Less than two hundred years ago we took a wide open plains with mountains that others felt impassable with the great desert to contend with and turned our Nation into one of transportation and agriculture that still surpasses every other Nation in the World. We went into an Industrial Revolution followed by technology that was, at one time,second to none. No one has ever been able to match the diversity and the man hours of labor to the American worker.

We are a Nation that was built on diversity and have shown the rest of the world how it can be and is the greatest Democracy ever to find its own strength through its share of hardship. We are not losers, quitters, or complainers we are the Nation of Invention and just as agriculture,transportation, industry and technology changed our economical future and our landscape we are now geared for and can do the same with renewable energy if we can get the naysayers, special interests, and greed out of our way and get it done.

Instead the right-wing politics and their message of hate has done nothing more than shift the blame away from the American Spirit that pulls together in time of need and reaches out to help each other regardless of race, creed, and color. As bad as Katrina was or 911 was, there was not a large city, medium size town, or small village that did not reach down in their pocket and help their fellow-man in time of need and crises. Just as an aside: Can any of us even imagine what would have happened to our Nation if this group of hate mongers had been organized and it happened on OBama’s watch instead of the Republican watch? We rose to the same honor when it came to Haiti, so I know our American Spirit is not dead. This is who we are. We are not a people who passes unfair blame and fault off as a smoke screen to blame someone else that did not create the problem.

My message to the right is: If you don’t understand anything else then understand you are the last people that we want to take back our Country. You are the very people who are responsible for tearing us and our tenacity apart. Why in the world would any feeling, caring, thinking American want any of you in charge of America? You are the very spirit of what the problem is in America and certainly not the solution.

Church Owned Properties–Are The Clergy Business Men?

Trying to track down the ownership of properties owned by the Churches of America becomes impossible since they have trust companies as well as individual people sitting on their boards that keep everything hidden. The Churches of America have been given free tax exemptions and without being able to track them through the tax payments, it becomes difficult to ascertain just what all they do own in the Corporate or business sector. It is correct to know though, that the American Churches are amongst the largest if not the largest holders of property, in the world.

We know for instance that Beneficial life and Financial Group as well as Farm Management are owned by the Mormon Church and only a drop in the bucket along side of what they do own. We know of 200,000 acres of land owned by them and that as of 2005 they owned the largest ranch in Florida and their Deseret Book Company is booming across the West region of our Country along with their 35 owned radio stations and their one television network, but still this is nothing alongside of the many other holdings they own.

Trying to track anything owned by the Catholic, Lutheran, Baptists, Methodists,Church of Christ,Presbyterian, etc. as the list goes on, becomes next to impossible to know, as part of their tax exemption also includes the fact that they do not have to divulge ownership of their properties. They all hide their properties behind their own trusts that each sets up. If we accept that all Churches own their own insurance companies,securities, hospitals, schools, churches,cemeteries,farms, ranches,colleges, and the land they all sit on, which clearly we do know, as they have their names on all the same, we know then that we only scratch the surface in what they really do own. This small drip of knowledge alone, leads to massive wealth, amongst the Churches of America.

For those of you who would question, what the special interests of the Tea Party and the Right wing are, then one only needs to look towards the protectionism of the Church properties. Do not mistake them as being concern or protective towards religion and the practice of the same as clearly they are not. The reason so much hate towards OBama came out with the Tea Party and started as quickly as it did was because he did begin his Presidency with health care. If any of you think that healthcare will not costs the Churches of America then you are really into denial or lying deliberately to yourselves.

It was no accident that both the Republicans and Democrats could agree on Insurance Companies being able to trade across State lines as this benefits the Churches as much as it does the large insurance Companies. Christ owned neither Church or land but chose to go to the people. Perhaps the reason religion has fallen away from Christ’s message is because with property ownership and Capitalism, greed also follows.

We as a Nation must be ever vigilant in paying attention to who or whom we do give the power to in America. We all should realize that we do not ever want to become another Middle East where religion rules politics. We should not misplace religion and the practice of it from fraud and out-and-out greed that comes along with property as well as business assets, regardless of which holding Company owns it. We must realize that religion, throughout history, has been behind the reason for war as well as fraud and be both vigilant of the truth as we worship. There is never anyone so dangerous as the person or group, who thinks they are right, because they have God on their side.

The Side Everyone Thinks They Know

Many people who view disability as people who fake an injury, the black sheep as the loser of the family, and the homeless as the lazy, drug addict, and alcoholic do have reason to see the truth in some of their thinking. In my previous posts I have tried to reach out to remind my readers that sometimes the black sheep is the family member that out exceeds expectation, the homeless is sometimes employed and the disabled are many times truly disabled and not taking government money.

It is my intent to remind us all that it is easy to judge and make generalities towards all people and it is done on a daily basis with those that would gossip and exaggerate the circumstances adding fuel to the flame. Does it really matter to us that many of the people who appear to be lazy are often times depressed and that it is common when depression sits in for people to lift their spirits with drugs or alcohol? Have we become self-centered robots that only worry about our own needs and pass the attitude onto our children? Have we become so apathetic toward mankind as a whole that we truly do not care?

Many times drug users or alcohol abusers were abused as children and grow up being told they are nothing, whores, or losers by the very people who should be reaching out and giving them love? That, of course, being their parents. Others are never told they are loved and grow up in foster care all their life. Many times, despite these hardships, there will be many people who do not turn to drugs and alcohol or criminal behavior and instead become successful members of society where one member of the group, usually the most sensitive of the family, will take the drug and alcohol route.

In the 1920′s there was a great debate in our Country as to whether drug users should be treated as criminals or mental patients and helped by medicine. In the 1920′s the Harrison Tax Bill was passed to take cocaine, heroine, morphine, and alcohol out of common across the counter medicines and turned over to Doctors to prescribe. The Street drugs had been common household drugs and unregulated prior to that. It was common to find both cocaine and morphine in cough medicines, home remedies, and even in Coca Cola (it derived its name from cocaine). It was not until the 1950′s that street drugs were made illegal on a permanent basis.

The medical profession argued that drug use and addiction was a medical issue that needed to be treated in hospital settings where as both government and the churches argued that it was a criminal act and should be prosecuted. When approximately, 10,000 Doctors were arrested and imprisoned for using the drugs and becoming addicted themselves, rather than dispensing them to others, the medical profession lost its argument along with its credibility and street drugs became a criminal offense. It is not uncommon to have criminal activity often tied to drug addictions as stealing becomes the mainstay many times for people to get their next fix.

Con jobs are pulled and ran and have been so since the beginning of governments need to help the less fortunate. Just like there is cheating going on with food stamps, there are and always will be people faking injuries to scam the government of disability checks. Just as the bad cops give the good cops a bad image so are there people preying on the most vulnerable amongst us. Including hiring people to beg on the streets because they make good money that they then hand over to the people running the agency that hires beggars for the job. Do we deny the most vulnerable amongst us help because of the con men that work as predators amongst them?

One of the dumbest things to date,that the Tea Party has come up with, in my estimation, is to eliminate social security payments. It has been proven over the years that the cheapest way to care for the elderly is to let them live out their old age in their own homes. To institutionalize them or warehouse them cost, I believe I read, at least 3 times more than living in their own homes will cost the tax payers. without social security payments most of the baby boomers will have no choice but to live out their old age in institutions.

Even though it is true that only 43% of the baby boomers do have $10,000.00 or less for retirement the other equivalent of that is a great deal of them are living in sublet housing or paid off homes that they can afford to remain in as long as they are subsidized with their social security check. Does anyone have any idea just how much would be coming out of the pocket of our children and grandchildren if the baby boomer’s homes were taken away from them in exchange of them becoming institutionalized? Is anyone thinking much less have any compassion?

It is way pass time that we wake up and take a serious look at how many dollars are going into the candidates of the Tea Party choice along with special interests groups and start tracking down where the money is coming from to back these groups.

Right now,they are the same groups that are from the right-wing and running the broadcasts, print news, inter-net news and media in general, no differently against Obama, than the KKK has run the same lies against the minorities for generations. They have their own brand of lies that they are deliberately distorting into a perceived truth that is nothing more than hate.

Perhaps if we would boycott the cable or network news and sponsors we could find some reporter interested in finding the results as to what special interests has the deep pockets that are subsidizing the mouths of Beck, O’Reilly, and Palin along with the greed in America, and why the Tea Party candidates keep getting a large influx of money into their candidacy that brings them ahead to win. It may be the very least that we can do to save Democracy.

Barton Exposes True Right-Wing Mentality

It is the nature of the Texan to take control and not to follow directions. Remember “Dubya’s” key word, “I’m the decider”? For Joe Barton to use the word “shakedown” to express what he thought Obama was doing to British Petroleum was no accident. Not anymore than Joe Wilson using the word Liar when expressing his views on Obama nor the message boards lighting up with the volunteers yelling mafia. Since the day that it looked like Obama could win the Presidency the right-wing conservative Republicans have made a conscious attempt to evoke the image of Obama being a Chicago thug and an outsider.

Yesterday’s action by Joe Barton was nothing more than exposure of the true belief of the right-wing conservative Republican mentality. They play the blame game and accuse Obama of the very thing that they themselves are guilty of having created. They bring in God and Country along with family values and expound virtue when their true role is as a protectionist. They no more care about American virtue nor practice it, than they care about the people who vote for them. Their real goal is to protect Corporate America at all cost to the people.

The white elephant in the room has always been Corporations that buy and pay for the Republican Party Protection. Make no mistakes about it. When the Republicans won taking the regulations off of Corporate America they shared in the greed as well. There was nothing greater to the damage done to American wealth of the middle class than what was done by deregulating American Banks and Corporations.

We as the public will be paying for that greed for decades and that is why there is such an effort being made to swing the perception of America over to the ideal that it is Obama who is the person that does not care while they fight tooth and nail to protect the interests of Corporate America. That was the true reason that no one Republican voted for the Healthcare bill and fought it “tooth and nail”.

The problem that the Republicans keep running into is that when “we the People’ elect the people who are protecting the corporations they sometimes are going to end up with elected officials that will expose their true belief system. Joe Barton did that yesterday. There is an old saying in, “water seeks its own level”. Simply put it means the corrupt will expose themselves. That is exactly what happened yesterday and is the reason the Republican Party was quick to put the pressure on Barton to apologize.

Once more I urge everyone to get acquainted with the voting records of their representatives both in their States and Washington DC. Be aware of the fact that there are right-wing conservatives amongst the members of the Democratic Party , as well, but not nearly to the extent that they are embedded in the Republican Party. With the internet it is rather easy to find the voting records and it eliminates any excuses to do so. Your vote does matter and will directly change the direction that the right-wing is trying to take in their dominance over the American workers. We owe it to the future generations to be able to share in the Democracy that we all have enjoyed.

Now We Know Why They Like Stupid!

The Republican right-wing conservative Barton, from Texas, blasts Obama for a shake down of a poor innocent BP president and apologizes to him for the shake down he got from Obama. The messages that follow on the message boards are clearly from the stupid or those that have no ability left to register reality. The best of the stupid that I read was “It is Obama’s fault that the well blew as his energy policy would not let British Petroleum drill in shallow waters.”

These are the kinds of people who the Tea Party is getting elected. Is it any wonder that the right-wing wants the uneducated and the stupid and will do everything in their power to make home schools and their Religion only,not your’s, the way of life for all of us? In their way of thinking women belong at home and pregnant while the white males take back the jobs, women currently have, anyway.

The “no child left behind” program was without a doubt the most “dumbing up” of all programs to date on our children. Instead of bringing up the under-achievers amongst our students it pulled down the average to over-achievers and is still having the effect as the Democrats struggle to bring back the levels of education.

I have covered all the reasons in my posts as to why it is important for all of us to adapt a reason to educate ourselves in politics. The days when mom or grandma could use excuses like, “I vote like my husband does”, “I vote the way my daddy always did”, or “I just vote Party lines” are or should be way past being dead. We can’t simply sit back and think that surely no one would vote for someone who is that stupid anymore, because it is already happening.

Didn’t we just find out what a mess America can get into with just one stupid President and his greedy administration? We cannot afford to not learn from the mistakes of George “Dubya” and still survive another one. America deserves better as do we. If we are not a part of the solution then we most certainly will be part of the problem. That you can bank on.

Is There Any Value In Misplaced Blame?

It is difficult for me to understand why we as a society continue blaming the victims along with the people who are here to protect us over the person or people who caused the situation or heart ache in the first place. It certainly does not teach us anything as a Society and I can’t think of a single positive result that can come out of it.

It happens everyday in our Country and still it goes on unnoticed and as a result, unchanged. People who are guilty of crimes sit back and let the innocent take the fall for them in prison. Rape victims are blamed for the way they dressed or if they drank alcohol. Mugging victims are blamed because they should have known better than to be out at that hour or walking in the location even when the mugging often takes place on busy streets. What is happening in the gulf oil spill is just more of the same. It is easier to blame the absence of government over the Company that has provided their livelihood during the years.

We all know people who when they get along in age who blame others for their own lack of success. If such and such had just given them that one big break! Never mind they were doing the same when they were younger. It wasn’t their fault they were late for school or work as someone else forgot to get them up to go to school or work, for instance. It would never occur to them that by the time most people are 12 or 13 they are getting themselves out of bed and taking responsibility for their own actions or behavior, since they never learned the value of self motivation.

How many times is the camera turned on to the police departments across America with someone just waiting to yell “Police Brutality”? There are times that it may be legitimate but most of the times police are doing their jobs. How much force would you use if someone had their hands all over you, was trying to escape or pushing you around, or was reaching for your weapon?

They’re certainly are a plenty of reasons that “we the people” should be mistrustful of government but don’t you have the wrong people, folks? Because of our own general malaise or apathy during the previous Republican administration aren’t we now taking it out on the people who have been elected or assigned to fix the mistakes of the previous administrations?

Many of the same Republicans that should have played a more responsible role in finding housing for the victims of Katrina but instead took upwards of a year or longer, in some cases, are now the same critics that are complaining because it took Obama less than 2 months or 57 days to be exact, to wait until British Petroleum could come up with bank accounts in the total of 20 Billion and 100 Billion dollars to pay ligitimate claims.

Although Americans were still living in the abestos filled campers three years later during the Katrina tragedy and it can take banks as long as 6 months to close on the sale of a foreclosed home purchase, these same hypocrits are now complaining that it has taken less than 2 months to come up with 120 billion dollars that have been cleared to pay the people of the gulf that have loss money due to Corporate greed. The media is working over-time to express the same sentiment.

One could assess the over-reaction towards Obama, as a direct result of the public having done nothing when we should have done something if it was under normal circumstances. After all, it is the American Way to over-react or to under-react. It is true that some of us have a 15 minute retention span and many think life works as it does on television in that everything should be fixed or solved in 30 minutes. None of that however, explains the paranoia that exists against Obama.

The problem with this assessment as versus past assessments is, why did the complaints start so soon now just as it did following his election and why is there apparently no end to the dollars that are being put down in the primary elections? Why does the Tea Party appear to hate Republicans but most of the large sums of dollars are going towards the right wing conservative Republican candidate that they are sponsering and thereby assuring the election of their Republican candidates winning?

In answer to my own question then, NO there is never value in misplaced blame. So then why does the media along with those that should take the blame, but never do, keep driving blame on Obama home? One of the things that I admire about Obama is when it came to both the attempted attack at Christmas time with what was a lack of security as well as the oil leak he made it clear, “the buck stops here.”

We need a person in the White house that is willing to take the blame so that we are not wasting time, with the lies and paranoia or whose fault it is, at the time that we need to be finding solutions. Thank God we have that in Obama! By the way did anyone notice that he and his cabinet stopped a depression that was predicted to be worse than the one in the 1930′s or are we so busy looking for blame, “that we can’t see the trees for the Bushes”?(as in”Dubya”)

Are We Americans All Insane!

Or is it the media that leads the insanity? At a time when the economists all agree the only thing that will bring back jobs is confidence of Corporate America in a turn around of the economy the media is busy talking about OBama in his fancy pants at the gulf. All of the cable news and networks main line of attack is how OBama does not show emotions enough. Would we really feel better seeing the man who leads the Free World looking like a bum and shedding tears?

Hasn’t the media spilled their guts for years about candidates as well as elected officials looking weak and unprofessional when they did shed a tear? Or have they all forgotten about the media circus around Walter Mondale, that they created? Have they all gone nuts! Are we just as bad? The latest polls show that 57% of the Country thinks that OBama is not doing enough about the oil crises in the gulf.

I do apologize to the 37% that does seem to understand that government has nothing to do with British Petroleum’s obvious neglect of the problem that arose and their callous disregard for safety of the people over their profit margin, and still have their sanity about them yet. I do not include you in this post. Why is it so much easier for the rest of you to always blame government and give Corporate a free ride even when they prove they do not care about “we the People” but only the bottom line of profits, time and time again? Corporate pays their political cronies in both special favors and donations and have hired people,lobbyists and media to lie for years and yet you believe them over government.

The facts are the Federal government cannot do anything more than what it has done because at this point British Petroleum cannot do more than what it is already doing to stop the flow of oil. All the best scientists have been asked for their help despite the media giving the politicians or other interests their 2 minute bite to state otherwise.

When it comes to making payments to the businesses BP will move sadly at their own speed. Obama has placed pressure on them to do more than they currently are doing. I’m certainly not defending BP but we can all bet they are getting false claims at least at the same rate they are getting legitimate claims because unfortunately tragedy draws these kinds of derelicts.

This is untested territory in that this is the worse disaster in the history of oil companies. No one in truth, knows what they are doing. B.P. has never been in the market to lose money. That is a fact that we can all count on. The longer this disaster goes on the more money British Petroleum will lose. Unless mankind learns the unknown through trial and error, many times, they do not have the answers. Life does not get solved in real life like it does on television. The last thing BP wants is for this disaster to continue. That is the greatest fact of all.

Six months after OBama got into office we had the nut cases running loose in America screaming that OBama hadn’t done enough to turn around the economy or to save jobs. We have the Tea Party screaming conspiracy with the government in every facet of our lives and others bound and determined to get rid of Social Security. Never mind that before the Bush administration drained the Social Security funds it was the only government program that was working.

Somehow despite all this media lead insanity foreclosures dropped 3% this month and unemployment has dropped to the level it was at in 2008 before OBama took office. I have spoken a lot of the need to show emotions on the family level but I assure you with the mess that Obama was left with if he did show emotions the press and the Republicans would be all over it. From day one they have wanted evidence to use against him that he was not yet experienced enough to be president. I haven’t a doubt, and neither should you, of what a Circus both would make if he looked or acted anything less than Presidential.

If OBama had gone in and demanded a show of regulations and standards having been met in the oil industry prior to the disaster the Republicans would have been all over that screaming how the government under OBama’s care was nothing more than a regulatory company whose only goal was to straggle free enterprise or something as equally prophetic.

What created the economical disaster that we are in seperate from the gulf crisis was that government took off all regulations that allowed the greedy to go wild. I assure you that any attempt made to put the regulations in place will only set off the Republicans as well as the nuts that scream conspiracy.

Now we have the media and the nut cases running around saying that OBama doesn’t emote enough or dresses too well or doesn’t care about us. He only cares about health care. Gee I wonder who he has had to fight tooth and nail to get this watered down package for if not for the people inspite of the nuts being the ones that have been heard.

At this point the non-vote of the Republicans clearly shows that they are against any regulation of the insurance companies because at present the healthcare that could get passed was more insurance reform than healthcare reform and even that has been vetoed by the Republicans.

First we scream that government is too much in our lives and then we scream that government doesn’t care and is not doing enough in our lives. I for one am grateful that we have a president through all the messes that he is up against has shown all of us how to keep our heads down and to keep cool when under attack. It is way pass time that we let him do his job and the media report what really matters. For instance how their pettiness caused OBama to cancel a trip to Asia and thereby upsetting the Asian Nations at a time that we need all the friends that we can get.
