The Herd Mentality

In the beginning of mankind it was necessary for us to form together in a herd just as it is for animals to form herds and to gather together in flocks for survival.  A group of people or a tribe could defend against danger or against predators more effectively if they maintained a large group or herd.

They could forage together more effectively for roots,grains and berries,hunting that provided the meat, and gather together for warmth. Absolutely everything was shared by the group with a leader chosen by them to lead and he,because rarely was a woman trusted as a leader,was entitled pretty much  to anything he felt entitled to, as long as he kept the needs of the people first. He would always be served first before the group and any gem stones,feathers,or tools made were presented to him first before the others could share the spoils.  Just as the animal world has a hierarchy so did mankind.

In the animal world the male fights for the position against the weaker and the same was often true in the early days of mankind until after mankind advanced enough to the point that the title of leader was then passed down to the first borned son, generation after generation. Long before there was a government, long before there were Democracies,long before politics and political Parties, long before there was a Republican Party who referred to working together and picking a just leader of the people, who made sure the people were provided for,Socialism; mankind depended on a just and fair leader of the people. The people in return rewarded their leaders, so to declare as Mitt Romney did that the people were jealous of his wealth, made as much sense as too many other ridiculous statements he made in his campaign.In a civilized World today we still need leaders who care as much for the needs of the people as they did then, even though we no longer need to gather together in herds for our survival.

The protests that we often see in the Streets of a free Nation only arise because the people feel that they are being disenfranchised or starved to death by leadership.  The fact that the Republican Party with the help of the media, such as Fox News, only scoffed at the Occupy movement moving across America to stop the greed of the 1% over the needs of the 99%, has a great deal to do with why the Republican Party lost the election this year.  They had become so accustomed to ignoring the needs of the workers that they apparently felt they could run any candidate that they wanted to that would bend to the wishes of the far right and we the poor and middle class would succumb to their wishes because they used the herd mentality against their followers by whipping them into a feeding frenzy against President Obama.

So convinced were they that the deck was stacked in their favor to win that even when they lost Paul Ryan said,”We only lost because of the turn out in the Urban area” while denying they lost 40% of the over 55 vote,the youth vote, the women’s vote in the suburban areas,the gay vote,the Asian vote,the Hispanic vote,the Jewish vote, as well as the agriculture and blue-collar vote in States like New Hampshire,Iowa,Colorado, and Ohio as well.  They even lost the Catholic vote as well as both Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney lost their own home States, and yet in their denial, they are still trying to claim they ran a good campaign.

None of us are so stupid that we do not realize that when Republicans like Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney speak of the Urban vote they are talking about the poor and the African-American vote and when they insult one of us they insult all of us.  We know that first and foremost, we all are Americans together, and the Republicans are not granted leadership unless the American majority,made up of all American minorities, say they are our choice.

They cannot divide us even while they claim that our President is responsible for doing so. When Mitt Romney in his continued arrogance claimed they only lost because of the gifts (Obama care) given to those in the Urban area and free birth control to the young women, by President Obama, he only added more insults to the already bruised majority of us combined, who voted against the arrogance of the Republican Party as much as we voted in favor of the man we felt could better care for all of the American people.

If the GOP continues to refuse to accept the fact that they cannot run a bunch of clowns who are not interested in the people but instead pretend they are by spending billions of dollars and making voting against those who will not vote for them,as miserable as possible, they will continue to lose.  The middle class has lost too much income while the wealth of the wealthy has grown,for to long for the Republican Party to think they can continue to disenfranchise us as a group.

Modern mankind, often led by women who are also the majority voters, will not be fooled into subjection by their leaders, on a pact of lies and  billions of dollars. Adding conservative women to your party that are led by the beliefs of the far right will not fool those of us who do know that we are as equal as anyone else in America. The GOP’s problem runs much deeper than just winning back the Latino/Hispanic voters.  As Haley Barbour said,”The GOP needs to find a good Proctologist”, or as I say,” they need to get their heads out of their b….s long enough to understand they lost overwhelmingly,” and we both mean the same thing.  Republicans lost this election because they offered nothing different from what we have been paying for the last decade and will be paying for  generations to come,  and because we are not a right-wing Nation who denies equality to its people.

The blue-collar workers cannot be forced into giving up their Unions in favor for less pay and longer hours under the Republican control in our States,nor can they continue to fire teachers,policemen, and firemen and then expect our votes.  They may have won 53% of the white vote but basically that is about all they won and with those numbers they lost. It is no one’s fault but their own so it is time they quit making ugly excuses instead.  It is time that men like John McCain accepts that he lost in 2008 and give his along with the bigots like John Sununu, in the Republican Party, bitterness from his and their lost, a rest.

If the GOP wants to continue with their insistence that women are denied the right of equality to their own bodies while they try to win back the Latino/Hispanic vote while dismissing the rest of the minorities in America, they are going to continue to lose because just as the leadership in early mankind needed to be ever cognizant of the needs of the members in the herd,or be threatened by the uprise of the herd, today’s leadership needs to be aware of the fact that the needs of the people are fair and just as well.

We may be modern mankind with all of our own flaws but we still recognize a group of Bullshippers when we see and hear them.  You lost Republicans so lick your wounds and start rebuilding a Party that reflects the needs of the people over your own greed and run legitimate candidates with legitimate concerns for the people of all races,genders,gender orientations,and religious beliefs, over the lobbyists and the bigots, and you will again win over the vote of some of the people who do accept the needs of capitalism to grow as well.

Capitalism cannot continue to stockpile trillions while the workers go without food and homes and then turn around and  expect the workers to vote for the Republican Party who protects Wall Street at the expense of the people.  You lost, accept it, and get to work rebuilding a respectable Party over the disaster based in greed that you now own.  You fooled no one but a few but mainly yourselves.  The truth hurts sometimes but only when we own it can we make necessary improvements towards change in ourselves.  No one doubts that the GOP needs to tear down their structure and rebuild except those of you who march to the drum of  Carl Rove,Grover Norquist, the Tea Party, and the far right,still.

Good Luck and get to work adding moderates to your Party because the angry old white men are a dying breed and it is time you all learn to accept it. We do want to see two healthy political parties again,but it must be based on the needs of the people and have some truth in what it tells the people as well as the needs of capitalism, with a genuine leader at its helm.  We the voters are not going away.  Once burnt twice learned.  We do not need another Bush as in Jeb Bush, either. We are sincere in our wishes to see the Republican Party and their platform rebuilt on reality and on a new foundation. Once we do, and are convinced the people matter, then some of the voters will return to the GOP.

The Biggest Lie

If we listen to Mitt Romney speak we become acutely aware of the fact that he is promoting the same  lie that has been promoted since the 70′s and that is that “trickle down economics” works.  To quote him exactly,”When Companies do well we all do well.”  The truth is when we have jobs the companies do well and we all do well.

It is a fact and has been since the beginning of an economy that wasnt totally dependent on agriculture in America, that consumers with discretionary spending is what makes economies better.  When that income is robbed from the middle class,with” the right to work laws,” then the very people who have been the biggest consumers since World War II, are also unable to buy the products produced by American companies.  When we don’t spend then companies fail.  Business without consumer’s  money do not ever create jobs.

Economist know as all of us should know that during times of a bad or slow economy that it is made worse when the spending stops.  When we increase spending on intra-structures and highway building, with construction of new homes, or even with government helping out with foreclosures on our homes and with food stamps we give people the ability to eat or to spend again. Obama has tried to consistently pass the bills that would give jobs to the middle class while the Republican have refused to vote on them by filibustering.

Economies recover and grow if Congress pays on the deficit during a good economy and spends during a poor economy.  It has worked to keep the deficits down since Democrats Roosevelt and Truman did so following the Great Depression and Democrat Clinton did in the 1990′s. The Congress have simply  refused to pay on the deficit since George W. Bush took over the White House or to pay for two wars, when the economy was doing well, even when Bill Clinton handed the Republican majority a balanced budget and a surplus.

The Republicans make a lot of noise over balanced budgets when there is a Democrat President in office but have a history of doing nothing and not even so much as a whisper about it, when there is a Republican President in office and they are the majority. Even the media is silent on the lack of one in most cases. The last time that the Republicans balanced a budget under their own leadership was in the 1950′s under Dwight D. Eisenhower although they like to credit themselves with the Democrat President’s success to do so.  A great deal of the hate against Bill Clinton and the Conservative’s attempt to dig up dirt on him was due to the fact that he balanced the budgets during both of his terms in the White House and was only the second President in history to do so.

Before any of us believe what Mitt Romney says and that is he and Bill Clinton think alike, make sure you hear what Bill Clinton says about that, before you believe a thing that Mitt Romney says.  The Republicans tried to impeach Bill Clinton for heaven’s sake!  Bill Clinton is not campaigning for Barack Obama because he thinks that Mitt Romney can make a better recovery of the economy than what President Obama’s administration is doing and that we  can all be certain of.

Bill Clinton is also a big supporter of Obama’s healthcare program so is Romney lying on that as well when he says they think alike? Why is Romney telling the Billionaires that he will cut their taxes by 4.6 trillion and add it to the deficit if he plans on taking their taxes from 0 to 12% to 39% like Bill Clinton did, if the two of them think alike? They have absolutely no kind of history in common in their records of running government as history will tell us in the way that Mitt Romney ran the jobs creation into the hole in Massachusetts.

The need of the consumers being met with good wages, affordable housing, and discretionary spending is what builds economies. We can all be assured that Mitt Romney has no history at all in either government or his career experience of doing any of this. When the Tea Party governors are trying to run the Unions out of the States that guarantee the workers the fair wages by voting on the “right to work laws,” and Mitt Romney has promised his supporters, “I will eliminate the housing and development Dept.(HUD)when I am elected.”  Then we should all understand the working poor and the middle class having fair wages backed by the Unions, controlled rents in reasonable markets,extra income over expenses, because we are the main consumers in America, will not happen under a Mitt Romney Presidency and businesses  will and do cease to exist when we the consumers are denied a fair days pay for a days work.  If you read my post “Mitt Romney and Bain Capital”, then we all understand why business begins hoarding money, as well.

“Trickle down economics has been a lie told to the American workers for so long that it has become the biggest lie told in America today.  When Mitt says,” when companies do well we all do well,” he is totally wrong, as it is when we have jobs and discretionary spending then we all do well.  When we have Corporations refusing to hire and instead hoarding their money to protect themselves against the Vulture Capitalist like Bain Capital then the economy fails.

The wealthy should invest in the middle class but instead they have been robbing from the middle class by not paying their fair share in taxes.  Corporations are getting tax breaks from the Republican majority to invest over-seas, over investing to create more jobs for the working poor or middle class here.These same Corporations are being paid our income taxes to keep us employed, instead of it going to our individual States, and that is leading to our States going broke, so we are being hit twice by the Capitalism that is protected by Congress. In allowing Wall Street’s  greed to grow, we the middle class get absolutely nothing out of “trickle down economics.”

Mitt and all the other Republicans have  promoted the idea of “When Companies do well we all do well” since the beginning of Reaganomics.  While their income has grown by 150% ours has fallen by 30% in the same time period.

It should have become very clear to all of us that we have been lied to for way too long by those who stand to profit the most. I assure you that it isn’t the working poor or the middle class who are the ones profiting when Corporations do well. Even with President Obama placing regulations back in place, Wall Street is doing as well now as they did during the Clinton years.

Regulations are not making companies unable to hire, as Mitt Romney claims, and that has been well proven by the Obama Administration.  Regulations simply slows down the greed and makes it more difficult for Companies to default on their promises or loans. In short it makes the boards more responsible to the shareholders and makes it more difficult for them to ”throw the dice”, so to speak.

It is the tax incentives offered through the Obama Administration that is helping the Private sector, who are the ones hiring. They always have been the main job creators in America. Without us buying the products,making their products, and selling their products Corporations are left to invest in an effort to fend off the Vulture capitalists, and that is what is happening today.

The less income consumers have to spend  the less Corporations need to create jobs. When the consumers  over-seas and here at home are buying those products, and when we have discretionary cash to buy those products, because we have jobs that pay a fair days wage, then we will all do well again. Don’t let the Mitt Romneys, Republicans and Tea Party members of this world keep lying to us for another 40 years or America will truly be back to where it was at the turn of the twentieth century and that is with the middle class having been replaced, by the working poor and the rich getting even richer. Vote in November.

Mitt Romney And Bain Capital

I begin this post with my apologies for saying that Mitt Romney was nothing more than a hatchet man as he also spent his time establishing businesses that would make a profit of gross proportions for himself and his friends, as well.Speaking for most of the people I  speak for, I don’t think anyone begrudge Mitt’s success as an investment  success but to use it as a background that makes him more experienced at creating jobs than President OBama, when it simply rings hollow with most of us who are in or have been in business, is more than most of us can stomach.

The  OBama Administration has worked hard to gain 4.2 million jobs for the middle class and working poor while Mitt’s experience has been to take away jobs from the working class, in an effort to profit the already wealthy.  To run an equity company and all that it entails takes a personality type different from what most of us possess.  When Mitt accuses us of envy, I can assure him that we have many emotions on the subject but envy in how he accomplished his own financial gain does not even register with us.  Disdain maybe more like it.

Not all capitalism meets with the moral register of most of us.  Just because there may be huge gains in it or just as many losses does not always make it right in the minds of those of us who would object to the way Mitt has made his money. The Mafia made a lot of money in business that was legal as well, but just because it may be legal ,many times capitalism can also be morally objectable to the senses of those of us who have tried to add to the lives of others, in business. There are many legal ways to make money that enhances the life of everyone involved and we need to keep checks and balances on  capitalism as a reminder of that.

Mitt Romney along with Partners, T Coleman Andrews III and Eric Kris started   Bain Capital in 1984,and it’s reported wealth  has been established to be worth $66 Billion dollars today with a work force of 400 plus.  They began the private equity company on borrowed money of 37 million dollars.  Most equity companies do borrow their money from banks rather than use their own personal money as capital.

If we type in jobs created into any equity company, we will get 0 results since equity companies are not in the business of creating jobs but instead to make profits for their investors. They are often known as venture capitalist or by the slang word of “Vulture Capitalists”. They are the predators of the business world who take advantage of a weakness in a Company to prey upon.  The great proportion of investors in Bain Capital is and have always been the owners and professional personnel that works in the company where as many others are financed through mutual funds funded by, cities, States, and outside investors traded over Wall Street.  Bain Capital remains private.

Bain capital has been both an investment company as well as a buyout company that moves in and bankrupts Companies and takes out the profit for its shareholders.  It is the manner of the way an equity company runs that makes its real goal that of gaining profits for the owners of the company and sometimes efforts to streamline companies by laying off a great many of the people in an effort to make a company more profitable.

Bain Capital takes  its profit of 20% with terribly high fees off the top and at times  their profits grow 16 fold while the Companies  they take over go bankrupt and employees lose both their jobs and pensions.  When the companies do not go bankrupt after a take over then only approximately a third of the people are hired back if that and they often find their wages half of what it was before these equity companies take over the companies they work for.

Bain Capital is currently in the process of working American Airlines through bankruptcy so one would have to question if there is a conflict  of interest with Mitt Romney even running for President since airlines are heavily government subsidized.  It  is believed that he still has ownership in Bain Capital and it is in a blind trust.

Because of the way these equity companies are structured there is not a single Corporation or Company that finds itself losing profits because of the uncertainty of the economy that does feel comfortable in not stock piling money over creating jobs.  Everyone of them are susceptible to take over by an equity  company who has more wealth than they have, and they know that. Equity companies do not only swallow up the assets of other companies but also the jobs of the working class.  Instead of promoting job growth they prevent it.  Equity companies bully their way in with the first sign of financial weakness in a Corporation or company.  They are not invited in unless a company sometimes feels that restructuring may help save the company by the board of directors.

Mitt took two  leave of absences as CEO from Bain Capital to run as Senator of Massachusetts where he lost against Ted Kennedy and again for Governor when he won a one term election as Governor of Massachusetts. He had planned to return but never did.  Mitt worked with both Goldman Sachs and the Frist family of Indiana in partnership of take overs and with other investors.  No doubt it is his connections with Wall Street that helps explain the great amount of wealth that is pouring into his campaign.

Mitt Romney, if truth be told and we find it very lacking in his campaigns, is not a job creator but instead a wealth creator for his buddies on Wall Street.  Although he has not worked for Bain Capital for years many believe that part of his retirement package  included retaining partial ownership of Bain Capital and it is impossible to learn more since Mitt has always in all of his campaigns ,which is his right to do, refused to give full disclosure of his assets as well as his earnings over any length of time.

When asked if Bain Capital has created more jobs than jobs they lost, both Bain Capital and Mitt Romney refuse to answer the question.  It would be foolish of all of us to not to understand if Mitt created more jobs than he caused people to lose, he would be exaggerating those figures as much as he has his jump of creating 10,000 jobs while running against Ted Kennedy in 1994 to claiming to have created 100,000 today without having worked a day at Bain capital since.

As owner of Bain Capital,if Mitt wants to take credit for jobs created a decade after leaving as CEO then he needs to also take blame  for initiating the process that caused lay-offs at both Armco Steel in Kansas City as well as the steel Company in South Carolina that he merged together and both would end up failing and causing massive layoffs with employees being screwed out of their benefits and pensions.I personally had a friend who worked at Armco from the 1960′s and had over 20 years put in when  they were all escorted out. Just as he lost everything so did the majority of the others see their dreams of retirement go down the drain.

After Mitt ran a dirty campaign taking advantage of his fellow Republicans, with more money to spend, he is now finding that we are all tired of the same old lies that have been around since 2008 on President OBama, so he now claims  to be seeking the higher ground. Since Mitt Romney’s past history disputes his lies, yesterday is a hard argument for Mitt to defend or win on against President OBama.

He can not attack the Religious issue again as too many conservatives are suspect about his own Mormonism. What worked with,” the also rans,” in the Republican primary will backfire on him if team Romney repeats it against President OBama.  His campaign is struggling on the best way to re-initiate the hate campaign that worked so successfully for the Republicans and  the Tea Party in 2010.  The fact that President OBama is likeable while we do not have a clue who Mitt Romney is, makes the hate campaign against President OBama susceptible to blow up in their own faces both with women and Independent voters.

So once more Mitt Romney is using the Carl Rove approach and that is to attack the opposition of what we ourselves are guilty of doing.  Since Mitt used the character assassination attack to win the primary he is now using the reverse by accusing Barack OBama of character assassination against him, while he claims he plans on running a clean campaign.  In Republican language that means if the opposition has a truckload of facts that disputes the lies that Mitt is telling then the opposition are guilty of character assassination.  Lets face it, Mitt cannot produce the facts against Barack OBama that the OBama campaign can on him  from all of their film footage of what Mitt said in order to win before, so he is pretending to take the high road with more lies on his own accomplishments.

Mary Matalin, who ran the George W. Bush campaign openly announced on CNN that Mitt Romney wants to return to the Bush policies.  Although I do not agree with her politics, I have always found her dedication and honesty in a Party that lacks both when speaking to the American people,refreshing. When the Republicans attack President OBama for not keeping his promises, they have to be very careful as we know that President OBama kept the promise made by George W. Bush, when he stood at the sight of the attacks of 9/11 and promised we Americans that getting Osama Bin Laden was his first mission.  The last thing Mitt Romney wants to do is to be honest enough to admit that if elected he will set his sail with the Bush Administration;or in other word, tell the truth.  When a campaign  runs on lies, then they all know as we do, that their house of cards can all come tumbling down.  With all their bravo they are still trying to find the right mix  of lies that will work for them while denying they want to finish what the Bush Administration started.

Mitts true job experience during a job recovery that can be undone by greed just as the economy failed by that same greed  under the Bush Administration needs to be avoided at all cost since,it is the common practice and legal for equity companies or what most understand better as “take over companies,” to drain the pension funds of workers in companies in order to have their fees paid.  Bain Capital takes 20% of company assets off the top before they even begin to restructure or to bankrupt a company, as is common practice with Equity Companies. These are the loans that the large Banks gamble on as to if they will be paid, since equity companies borrow money as I said previously.  We have just seen a prime example of what happens in J.P. Morgan Chase when they place a wrong bet.  Mitt Romney says the Banks do not need tighter restrictions placed on them while they run their banks as a casino.

After Mitt resigned as CEO of  Bain Capital, as I said previously, he kept partial ownership of Bain Capital.  When we have the media asking how did Mitt Romney make his millions don’t we have to all scratch our heads and wonder how come they don’t know or if they are deliberately misleading us?  Of course a partial ownership of a $66 billion dollar Company paying profits and dividends into a well-managed  fund with profits being sent over-seas to avoid paying taxes would create millions if not billions of dollars over time.  One might even have reason to believe that Mitt Romney’s wealth is grossly under reported.

Bain Capital also own interests in Hong Kong, London and many other  countries, and those who have checked out the facts as far as it takes them which is often limited due to the secrecy of Equity companies, believe that Bain Capital also holds  interests in Iran. They continue to own companies whose worth are into the Billions.

If any of us think that Mitt Romney could ever feel what the lost of dignity feels like when we are fired from a job after we have poured our loyalty in,and dreamt of our investments and pensions when we retire only to have them taken from us; then perhaps this information will at last make it quite clear to all of us why Mitt Romney cannot relate to the suffering of the working poor and middle class. It must be humanly impossible, not that I ever tried it, to continue bringing in money made on the backs of the people he was responsible for firing, while promising jobs.

How can he have compassion for the working poor and middle class and still retain his own self-respect unless he has the ability to lie to himself along with all of us?  If he could he would not have begun a company on borrowed cash, whose main objective was to make himself and a few of his buddies wealthy,while doing it through firing people and taking their hard-earned savings.I quote Mitt Romney himself, “Don’t you just love to fire people?  I just love to fire people….”

When the work experience Mitt  has, is to grow wealth for himself and a hand full of others while firing the working poor and middle class, and as losing jobs as governor of a State that fell to 47 out of 50 in jobs creation, then we should have a better understanding as to why Mitt Romney does not have a conscious of empathy left for us. Any one who thinks he will be a representative of us instead of the 1% just isn’t believing what they are hearing when the truth is told to them, in my opinion.

For Mitt to develop a sudden conscious for the working class people, would cause Mitt to have emotions that he was not capable of expressing.  I suggest that is exactly why the majority of us do not feel as there is any sincerity in Mitt Romney when he is out campaigning.  He is not one of us and no matter how much he promises us jobs he will never sound sincere in those promises, simply because that is not the direction Mitt Romney will take and he knows that.

On the other hand if the rumors of him being a bully in highschool while remaining in command of a total lack of  feelings, when it came to the feelings of others is true, then we could all believe  and accept the fact that Mitt  found his calling while still in highschool couldn’t we? Mitt Romney On Job Performance

We keep hearing how Mitt Romney will do so much better on turning around the economy and gaining jobs for the people and  women especially, because he is such an astute business man in comparison to President Obama so lets check the facts.

In the last year alone while Mitt Romney has been unemployed and campaigning for 6 years, the OBama Administration has added 1 million new jobs for women alone.  While Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts in the 1990′s when the economy was at its best, Massachusetts fell to 47th in the Nation when it came to job creation.  Mitt was such an unpopular governor that he knew better that  to run for the second term as his own resources told him he would lose and lose badly.  He is telling the people that he did not run again because he accomplished what he wanted to do in the first term.  If taking a State to a record low in job performance is the job he wanted to do then why are people falling for the idea that this man can create jobs, other than for the millions of dollars that are pouring into his campaign from unknown sources or just because he can out lie everyone else?

We know that the OBama Administration has filled all the 4.2 million jobs that were lost on his watch in just over two years.  The jobs lost before He was sworn in as President were lost by Companies sending jobs over-seas and still receiving tax breaks from  ”We the People.” Clearly the OBama Administration is creating jobs at a much better and higher rate than what Mitt Romney has any experience of doing.

The jobs sent over-seas during the Bush Administration will only come back to America when the expense of paying Chinese and India workers become more troublesome and less cost-effective.  These are not jobs that Mitt Romney will win back when he has announced that he plans to go back to the Bush years when these jobs were lost and take off the regulations that led to the greed and lost of jobs.  None of us have to be able to understand the economy to understand that much.

More and more economist outside of Washington as well as more inside of Washington have said that the economy and unemployment both can be turned around at greater rate than it has been currently, if we just got the Republicans out-of-the-way of the OBama Administrations efforts to do both.  A couple of the most respected economist have even said that we could do it as quickly as 18 months if the Republicans would back off and start working with the OBama Administrations efforts to do so.

The OBama Administration placed regulations back  on Wall Street and banking and they have still made money, even though the Republicans, Mitt Romney as well,  claims that this restricts Capitalism. If this were true then the Dow Jones would not have raised from a low of 7800 the last year of the Bush Administration back to its normal range during the Clinton years of  1300 plus.  When the Republicans yell that regulations placed on Banking and Wall Street lowers our gross national product and ties the hands of Capitalism then clearly  the Dow Jones would not have risen during the OBama Administration. Regulations placed on them only helps prevent the greed of the “rich getting richer,” at a lost to the working poor and middle class.

Despite those facts, Mitt Romney, on the campaign trail,  is saying he will bring back a robust economy and give jobs if elected, because he will take off regulations.  We know for a fact that this slowed the economy to a stand still in the previous Administration.  We all have been paying for that mistake as will our grandchildren pay as well for it.  Mitt says nothing about how he will be able to manufacture jobs other than to remove regulations while bragging about his great business ability that made him and the Companies he worked for richer.  When “We the People” or the middle class do not have discretionary spending or jobs then we know the economy will not recover without regulations on Wall Street.  The Bush Administration proved that to us already.

When we see what a mess that lifting regulations created during the Bush Administration then we know the tax payers were forced to bail them out, and we have a good idea of what greed does when left unchecked.  This along with getting rid of Planned Parenthood, Passing the Marriage Amendment that would deny woman equal rights, and laying off people by getting rid of Government agencys that protect us from consumer frauds and bad goods to education and housing for the working poor are just a few of the ways Mitt Romney wants to help women and Americans in general.

When Mitt Romney ran against Ted Kennedy he campaigned on the fact that he had created 10,000 new jobs.  He has not worked a day since then but now that he is running for President these same 10,000 jobs have grown ten-fold and he now claims to have created 100,000 jobs and we can bet it will raise to at least a half of a million jobs the closer we get to November because of  the lack of truth being told by the Romney and his campaign from the beginning.  The lack of truth will get worse before it ever gets better. If we hold our breaths waiting for the truth to come out of Mitt Romney’s mouth we will all succumb to our own demise.

When both Newt and Rick Santorum called Mitt Romney a liar or Mr. Etch-A-Sketch  it was because he is the same man, with the same lack of character as he was when running against them, and that will not be any different, when running against Barack OBama. Those statements were the honest and truthful statements that came out of the Republican Primarys.  Just because he says he will create jobs, does not mean that Mitt has a history of doing so without firing 2 to every 1 he hires. When we realize that Mitt was highly invested in Wall Street at the time greed ran rapid with his own Over-Seas Bank Acounts, and he himself has admitted that was how he gained his own wealth, then don’t we have an even better idea as to why Mit’s concern  is for the wealthy?

Before you vote just ask yourself this question,”Will I lose my job and pension or 401k  so that Mitt  Romney can create a job with less pay and benefits  for another person?” When you answer it honestly,since that is the business acumen that  Mitt got as governor of Massachusetts and at Baine Capital, then you will have a much better understanding of just what kind of jobs Mitt Romney will create. Mitt Romney has never created jobs but instead has created wealth for the wealthy.

Mitt Romney while govenor and 8 years of Republican control truly gave ”We the People” nothing other than the working poor and middle class, ”got another day older and deeper in debt.”  What miracle has taken place in the Republican Party that would change that, pray tell? Does the fact that Boehner and Mitch McConnell, both have announced that they plan to continue doing nothing  about jobs for ” We The People,:  and the fact the right-wing conservatives only goal is to defeat President OBama, while Mitt Romney plans on lowering taxes for Billionaires another 4.6 trillion and adding it to the deficit, give any of us any hope on the future of jobs or our economy if Mitt wins?  Vote in November.

Politi-facts and Other False Information

Rick Santorum attacked Mitt Romney at the hopefully last and final debate (thank God) on his health care plan being the same as OBama’s and it is an accurate statement as both were devised by the same man by the name of Johnathan Gruber who acknowledges that both plans and mandates are one and the same. When Mitt says it did not require borrowing any money, that too is true, since it is the federal government that pays for it, and not the State of Massachusetts. However Santorum said check it out on Politi-facts, as if that is the Holy Grail of all truth.

The people who do check out the facts such as when President OBama said in his State of the Union Address that business had added more than 3 million jobs in the last 22 months and it was the largest increase since 2005, politi-facts had no problem in saying the information was true. 3.2 million new jobs were added in the last 22 months in the private sector.

It is who ever runs the meter that is showing anything but the truth. Although they stated the facts as spoken by President OBama as being accurate the meter registered it as being half-truth. It was when the people demanded it be corrected they changed the meter to mostly truth. There is no way that they are going to come out and say that anything that is 100% true, when it has been spoken by our President,is the full truth, obviously.

When President OBama said that we are more independent from foreign oil than what we have ever been and 50% more free than what we have been since 2005, again the facts when checked by the Department of energy show that to be 100% true and again they acknowledge that, until the meter registers it as half-true. Either the meter is constipated or someone needs to check their meter manager out as if a group,company, or organization is going to be legitimate and advertise itself as such then it needs to obey the dictates that governs the same. It costs them so much more to deal in half accurate facts when the meter turns truth to half truth, while claiming to be the site for the truth, than it does to be honest as represented.

When Rick Santorum was speaking of social and religious rights last night he got off on the Declaration of Independence and was quoting it as the rights given us in the Constitution so I will proceed to offer the data of each as follows: The Declaration Of Independence was nothing more than a statement adopted to explain why the 13 colonies in America were declaring their Independence from England and gave no one any rights or power under it, beyond announcing our freedom from England and it was signed on July 4, 1776.

It was the Constitution of the United States that gave all power and rights to both The Government and the people. Religion and any rights given them, was not mentioned or even written into the Constitution, that gave all power of the law to the Supreme court. Our founding Fathers very wisely understood the influence that could be played on the Congress and Senate so set the Supreme Court up with full power to establish law. The Constitution was signed Sept. 17, 1787.

It was not until 1802 that the amendment was added to the Constitution to allow Religion the freedom to practice Religion with the understanding that Religion would play no role in government. If Religion broke the law of the land then they would be punished the same as mankind. Some say that John Locke established separation of Church and State but in truth it was when Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the Danbury Baptist Church that it was made clear that religion would play no role in government and in exchange for that government would not begin a Religion of their own. the conservatives and the right-wing seem to think that their Religious beliefs were guaranteed under the Declaration of Independence as too many times I hear them quoting it as the concepts of the Constitution and it clearly is not nor does it give power to anyone beyond explaining our Freedom from England.

We all are paying the lowest taxes that have ever been paid in the history of America, and unless we eliminate the Bush tax cuts so that we can add revenue to the Treasury so we can pay our bills we will not pay the deficit down. We are being led to believe that the Republicans care about the deficit and it is not true as when Cheney said the deficit does not matter he spoke for all of the Republican party.

Spending increases the gross national product and in doing so it raises our credit rating, where as denying the taxes to put back into the Treasury so we can pay our bills both destroys our credit rating as well as lowers the GNP.However if we pay it off then our credit rating increases. Every President since Herbert Hoover raised the taxes until it came to George “Dubya” Bush and the conservatives refuse to have any one pay taxes or to touch the Bush tax cuts because they do not believe that anyone has to pay taxes. They and the Tea Party both would like to weaken government entirely by eliminating the Treasury.

This one is a piece of cake to figure out who is right and who is delusional on the subject, because we all know that if we do not put money into our checking accounts and go out and start writing checks it won’t be long before we are writing bad checks because we have depleted the amount we had to spend. The same is true if we are not putting revenue from taxes collected into the United States Treasury.

We may raise the profit or the need for the gross national product in the Store, but common sense tells us all that when we buy more than the money we have, we will ruin our credit as well as deplete our checking account, unless we put money into our accounts to cover it. When we pay off the money we spend by having the money in our accounts then we increase our own GNP from the purchases that we buy,as well as, increase our own credit rating. The same is true when government collects the taxes to pay off their debt or the deficit. Yet the Republicans insist that the free market will determine what the need is, and it is hogwash and the mentality of the 1890′s that is talking.

The OBama healthcare plan is not a top down government plan as told by Rick Santorum, as it deals with our own doctors and private insurance companies,his statement of the same in last nights debate is false, and it will not cost the American public 95 billion dollars as being told by Mitt Romney, but instead will save us 210 billion dollars, as told by the experts in the field whose business it is to know the difference.

It has already saved Senior Citizens 250 million dollars. No one will need to change from their own Doctors or insurance company unless they wish to do so.The mandate portion of the bill is currently in the Supreme Court checking if it is legal to do so, if not, it will not become part of the plan. It eliminates all insurance companies from discluding Americans due to pre-existing disease and grants parents the right to cover adult children until the age of 26 on their coverage.

Finally the greatest lie of all that is being acted out in the State of Georgia is to get President OBama’s name off of the primary as well as general election ballot. The Republican conservatives claim that he is not a citizen of America so therefore cannot qualify to run as President. As crazy as it is to those of us who recognize that this idea exist in America, these people still refuse to believe Barack OBama is a citizen. The Democrats have sent it to the Federal judges in the State to get the movement stopped. For the sake of the people in Georgia, as well as their own Constitutional right to vote, we can only hope the Democrats win, and that our President’s name will be left on their ballots.

There is so much talk going on against OBama and the military as well as foreign policy and energy, that are so much more about lies than truth, but I’m fairly certain that most of us know by now what a “bang up job,” that Obama is doing in those areas, so I will end it at this, and wish everybody a good day with an even better evening. Social Security For Future Generations

The Ryan Plan,that all Republicans have signed on to 100%, like most of what I write about, will not affect my husband and I, but I have real concern about it when it comes to my children and grandchildren. I have no doubt that they waited to apply it to, the 50 and under crowd, because they were afraid of the great power that the AARP is able to influence and knew it would be defeated if they even tried to deal with them.

It is only an introductory way to eliminate Social Security in Government and turn over Social Security Insurance to the private sector. Since Social Security Insurance is 6 times larger than all the other insurance companies combined, the private sector has been salivating over take over for years, and to gain more of the profits for themselves.

To think that the average cost of health care per senior is between $7000 to $16,000.00 per year,now, and despite what we Americans have been told, the government does a pretty good job of keeping the cost down.They can buy health care in a much larger block than what individual private insurance companies can or ever will be able to, and in doing so, it keeps the cost down that the public has to pay. The Ryan Plan would cap all people in 2022 to $8000 a year with the cost of healthcare going up at a growing rate every year, certainly the senior citizens, will not be cared for at this rate.

If the people find that they do not have enough coverage then, they will be able to buy the difference from private Insurance companies. Of course, when many senior citizens are unable to buy, then the private insurance companies will end up with government subsidizing the difference. Surprise! surprise! The private sector, grows rich as a result of Corporate welfare provided by the government and paid for by the public.

There are no bigger welfare whores,than the 1%, who feel more entitled to all the welfare that government can give them, than any other of the population in America. By the people thinking they can invest their own money into social security by investing into the stock market, they will be guaranteed to be victims of the private sector and the private Insurance Companies will be the winners.

Unless we are a member of the wealthy class or work at Wall Street, we will not get the “insiders’ trading tips.” (although they are illegal, everyone does it and then denies it happens). Playing the stock market and investing our retirement futures in Wall Street, for the, “regular Joes” is no different from betting our future on slot machines or roulette wheels.

As any of us know, when a chain store of any size moves into our communities, they usually charge decreased prices in order to get us into the store, and then they gradually raise the prices once they get us in the habit of shopping there. This is also true of any and all insurance companies.

It may sound like a good deal, the first couple of years, but then when it does eventually take control and push government out, it is the American public who has to pay the price in both premium jumps, as well as, the huge jump in exchange for Corporate welfare. When the insurance companies are paid the difference between what the public can pay and what the private insurance companies are charging, then the public pays again when government makes up the difference for the corporate welfare whores.

The other concern is that employees would not need to choose the plan at their work place that Unions will guarantee but the Republicans are trying to eliminate the unions and instead employees could opt out and choose their own. This sounds all well and good until we understand that slowly and surely that all guaranteed coverage would be drained away until employees would find their coverage worthless.

The Republicans fight against all and any regulations on the greed of the private sector from pollution to price controls, and as long as the private sector or Capitalism is not under the control of government, our children and grandchildren are all looking at exorbitant costs either at the market place or at the tax levels. Either way it ends up with them, “Owing their souls to the Company Store,” or the 1%”.

While Newt Gingrich campaigns and says, “OBama is being a Saul Alinsky,” who OBama would have been 10 years of age when he died, what Newt is really saying is that the Republicans under his Presidency, will continue as usual, until every penny they can drain is drained of the middle class today.(Saul Alinsky was all about the reverse in that the have-nots be supported by the haves).Newt, of course, made his 100 million off of government taxpayers and as a lobbyist to Congress but of course, according to him, he is a Federalist, Christian, and a defender of the Constitution. Anyone who believes that would sit in a crowd and “boo”, if the media asked Newt about his character.

The main reason that Newt finds it necessary to demean Barack OBama all the time with lies, is he has little to no understanding, about the fact that the majority of the middle class go on food stamps temporally. When Republican Bob Dole initiated the food stamp program to help farm subsidies, which were at an all time low, Newt was irate over it. Newt wouldn’t know what the Constitution does say as was proven by his ethics violations.

He still holds a grudge against food stamps, all these years later. That is typical Newt Gingrich behavior, as well as, demeaning everyone that disagrees with him. He is the same mean and angry Newt he has always been, while his conservative followers, have forgiven him and say because he is a grandfather and he has sought forgiveness, he is a different man. The man is proving in his campaign that he still needs extensive psychological help. He is still the erratic canon he has always been.

The last thing that the working poor and the middle class want to do, is be in the position where they do have to go on food stamps. All they are asking for is that the 1% pay their fair share, and give them a full-time job so they can work and have a chance to provide for their futures, with a job that offers benefits and possibility for retirement. No one out works or are harder workers than Americans. The economy rebounds when the middle class are made strong and have discretionary money to spend. It is a proven commodity.

The pompous Republicans running on the Conservative ticket,and in Congress, like all conservatives, can only stoop to name calling when they haven’t a leg to stand on and they would rather lie that find solutions for anyone other than the profit that goes into the pockets of the 1%. Their so-called million oil jobs (an exaggeration when we look at the true reality of the jobs) is nothing more than temporary jobs, because they would not dream of getting their finger nails dirty, while the workers do the dirty work and the oil companies, drain our natural gas, to sell to China and Japan.

This election year is more about the price future generations,if we are over 50, will have to pay than the current, because the economy is recovering and they will be able to fill those temporary jobs that will ruin the pristine beauty and touchy eco-systems, in time.

What kind of future, will that leave, should frighten all of us for both our childrens’ and grandchildrens’ sake . Electing conservatives, who either believe it doesn’t matter because Christ is coming or the World is ending, or they are just plain arrogant Jackasses, will not solve the problems of today, much less tomorrow. Vote the Republican bums out and re-elect Barack OBama in November.

The Psycho Right

First of all I need to establish with my readers just what Psycho behavior is, according to my standards of the definition. It is someone like Newt Gingrich, who attacks John King, for asking him the question in rebuttal to the statement made by his second wife. Newt came out venomous against John King and the media and established, “how dare he ask that question?”

He got a standing ovation from the right-wing crowd that appears to follow him in these debates or perhaps the conservative right are every bit as psycho as Newt. Lets not forget that the Conservatives spent 100s of thousands,of tax payer’s money, on the Star committee trying to track down any kind of dirt they could get on Bill and Hiliary Clinton from the Whitewater investment firm, where the judge even had a friend of their’s jailed for weeks, when she refused to answer personal questions that pertained to the Clintons to the attempted impeachment of Bill Clinton.

They even at one time accused the Clinton’s of murdering a dear friend of their’s, who unfortunately committed suicide. The Conservatives, were vicious against Hiliary when she tried to bring healthcare to the people, just as they were and still are, against OBama, and were with Bill Clinton, and no one lead the attack more than Newt Gingrich.

This is the same group of people who,with Newt as their leader, moved towards impeachment and spent many millions more, of taxpayers dollars, in their drive to have Bill Clinton impeached when he was president. Newt was just as verbal,”of how dare Bill Clinton lie, at the same time, he himself was lying to everyone and having an affair, with the woman who now says he wanted to have an open marriage.

Bill OReilly ranted and raved for months into years on Fox News against the Clintons and especially Bill. Bill O’Reilly was paying quite a bit at the time for phone sex, himself, at the time and even had to dismiss it as not that serious on the air. The atmosphere was filled with hate at the time, due to the conservative’s, Newt, and his friends. If ABC refused to hear Newt’s friends out, then congratulations for not falling for the same old tricks of the psycho right! Newt took great umbrage with that on the stage, last night and called the fact that his ex said he wanted to have an open marriage, a lie and got a standing ovation from the crowd.

Someone needs to tell Newt, and that crowd, that it does not matter if he said the words or not. He lived the ideology of an open marriage, whether he has friends that testify or not. It’s not about words Newt, although you seem to forget that, it is all about actions, that matter. No matter how verbose you are, when your behavior represents the need for anger-management courses, then you need say nothing else.

When a person is having an affair, while still married, he is living the life of an open marriage. It is that simple. No pain in a marriage effects both the spouse and children worse, than adultery. Both will spend the rest of their life seeking out approval and having issues with trust, unless they seek help. Statistically,children but girls especially, will act out the behavior of the cheating parent.

We know while his first wife, and the mother of his children was living with cancer, Newt was having an affair with what would become his second wife, during the Clinton impeachments, that he was spear heading right along with the Star committee, who was selected by the conservatives. We know when his second wife developed M.S., he was having an affair with Calista, his current wife. It is an open marriage, regardless of what Newt calls it, his friends call it, the debate psycho crowd calls it, or the psycho Conservatives call it, when a person is married and having sex with another person.

More recent happenings by the right are: denying the child in Colorado, the ability to attend private school, because her parents are gay. Denying insurance to all their employees because a gay person, maybe, working amongst them. Defiling the funerals of our brave soldiers while screaming.” it is God’s punishment because of Gays in America.” Denying gay people the right to worship and civil marriage.Denying gays, and people of the Muslim religions, the pursuit of happiness, as guaranteed in our Constitution, for all American citizens. Firing a nun, from being a Hospital Administrator, in Arizona, because she allowed Doctors to perform an abortion in order to save the life of a young woman who suffered from serious lung disease, and could not survive a pregnancy. Accusing OBama of being Muslim and a non-citizen of America

There is no end to the list of the denial of freedoms taking place in the name of Christianity and marriage, by the right-wing in America. It has a lot to do with why there are fewer marriages taking place, in my opinion. Their do as I tell you, but not as I do, mentality is choking all of us who do not share in their own hate campaigns in America.

When the question of marriage is asked of them,and it does not favor them or the person they are trying to deny is a cheater and has lived his life in open marriage, then it is grounds to boo, with their crowd. Instead they talk about their Christian values of forgiveness. Give us a break–PULEEEEESE! When forgiveness works for their side then they forgive, but when hate works for them, there isn’t even a drop of empathy or forgiveness in the room.

Now that the Conservatives are on stage apparently, lies are a good thing, as there is no limit to the amount of lies, they are telling. We recognize it in the moderate, Mitt Romney before he opens his mouth, so we can’t conclusively say it is just the conservatives, as much as. it is the candidates running on the Republican ticket. Rick Santorum stood on stage in front of a military crowd and said,”OBama is refusing to cut social entitlements, but instead is cutting back on defense and the health care for the military, who fought in the wars, It is despicable!.” If there had been a truth-meter running the needle would have broken off when it turned to lies.

OBama is cutting back both in waste on Social Security,medicare, and Medicaid in an effort to help balance the budget, that is if the say “NO” Republicans will agree with him. As far as cutting back on defense, OBama, is cutting in areas where there are automatic cuts, such as eliminating old technology and equipment, along with the fact that they do not need to spend as much due to the fact that he has brought the troops home from Iraq and is cutting back in Afghanistan.” No president in history along with his wife Michelle, have done or continue doing more for the American soldiers and their families, who have fought in these wars, than what Barack and Michelle have and continue doing both in healthcare for the wounded as well as for those who suffer from post stress syndrome.

It is the Republican’s own out of control lies and their own hypocrisy, that weakens their own credibility, and makes the media entitled to pursue any and all questions on marriage and character, or the lack of it, especially when it applies to them in the reverse. It does not make the media liberal leftist. It makes the media legitimate; Which is something they obviously need to look up, in Websters Dictionary, as clearly they will not find it in the Bible from which they preach. They will need to, if they are going to return to reality, and leave their psycho world.

If the platform of the right is going to lie every time it suits them,are against education to our children, and come out against gay marriage, then the question of marriage and truth, are fair game on the platform, where debate is occurring in the Republican Party and every candidate up there is trying to out lean right the next candidate.

I applaud John King for having the courage to ask the tough question, despite the psycho Newt and his followers. It is not only an insult to all women but all Americans, to be treated like we are too stupid to know the difference between an open marriage as verses a committed marriage. My own marriage, certainly would not have lasted 42 years and counting, if I used Newt’s or the Conservative’s terminology for truth.It is high time that we as a Country, stand up against those who poison our political arena while accusing those who seek the truth, of stooping to their own pathetic levels.

Regardless if they call themselves: Evangelicals or fundamentalists, or we call them right-wing. They are the ones who tried to make it impossible for Bill Clinton to try to govern or lead our Nation, and have done and are doing the same to Barack Obama.

If the media, in its efforts to try to sort out and learn the truth, over lies,in the Man who will lead our Free Nation, is the new Liberal leftist, then more power to the liberals! The best barometer of future behavior is past behaviors and both the psychoes as well as the hypocrites need to be confronted, no matter how nasty their spokes people get. Trust me, I know first hand just how mean and nasty, they can and do get. Congratulations, to John King of CNN and ABC news, for not falling into their web of deceit! I personally applaud you both!

Bring Back Investigative Reporting

I promised that I would never get so old that I would ever say. ‘I miss the old days.” I have tried hard to keep that promise as way too much is happening in my life today, but when there were reporters who investigated the news in the past we knew we were getting the, “truth in reporting.” At the very least we were not as aware and therefore the news did not totally insult our intelligence or common sense. The truth is no one really knows for certain who the 33% are who refuse to let go of the idea that OBama is not a citizen or a Christian, and who it is that is involved with convincing these people of these lies.

In the past that would never have been tolerated. Someone would have looked until they had the proof of who these people really were. If a Watergate happened today none of us would even know about it, because no one would investigate it. With instant news reporting a shooting here, a fire there, an earthquake over there, we no longer have anyone trying to trace down the facts on much of anything.

Another example of an uninvestigated news event that went reported but not investigated was when two people pretended to be a Pimp and a Prostitute and went into Planned Parenthood and pretended to have 14 and 15-year-old girls that needed abortions. Remember that? The manager they spoke to had only worked there a couple of months and claimed it would be o.k and said they just played stupid around there.

They say undercover but no one even mentions the word police or investigation. Wouldn’t people who felt strongly this was happening want to make a record of this for the police since it would be a matter of criminal activity if it was true? If they were so concern and strongly felt that it was the truth wouldn’t they have gone immediately to the police instead of sending it virile on the internet? We do know, don’t we, that the police would not release it but instead would have done a thorough investigation if these two people were that concern? With the climate going on in America, and the lies being told along with the efforts of the Churches to stop birth control as well as abortions, no one in the media bothered to check the girl out to see if she was connected to the pimp and prostitute.

No legitimate sting operation is going to go in and just ask one person. They would take a young woman in who appeared to be younger and could pass for 14 or 15 and make sure it went as far as her having gone through the counseling and getting her gown on. To only ask one person in an undercover operation would only happen if it was a deliberate attempt to try to set up Planned Parenthood and they could count on the manager saying what she did. There simply is way too much liability if they do only take one person’s word for it today. Planned Parenthood needs to sue them since the legitimate news never investigated it.

That would never have even been reported unless it was investigated due to the climate and environment that exist today, in the past. It simply is not Planned Parenthood’s policy and it smells corrupt from the first minute we hear it but, NO one news Agency checked into it other than asking Planned Parenthood about what happened. What has happened to the news today should make us all cringe.

The reporters simply interview someone and ask the Tea Party or the Right wing Conservatives if they are doing it or supporting Newt and when they answer “No” that is good enough for the reporting team. We are left to figure out for ourselves who it is that would most likely want to see OBama disappear and we come up with the answer the Tea Party and the Conservatives if we follow politics at all.

However there is always the question left for the public to figure out if it is the Religious right and Evangelicals blaming the Catholics or the Catholics blaming the Evangelicals and Fundamentalists or lets not forget all the years and millions of dollars that the Mormon Church spent from 1920 to 1971 fighting against the Equal Rights Amendment. None of them are particularly friends but since Churches do not have to make public any of their records, it would explain why no one does know for sure. All of them together are as anti-abortion as the next and as committed to do away with Roe vs. Wade. If it isn’t the wealthy Churches who are trying to eliminate abortion and would do so at the expense of the American workers, then we need to ask who then hates OBama that bad?

I am fairly well convinced that it is more political than that so I am inclined to believe that the people who hate OBama the most and have no problem with laying off workers, depleting education, and eliminating the Unions of workers and have proven it in the States where they have had governors elected, are the Tea Party candidates. At the same time the Religious right-wing conservatives expound these same principles and have been contributing huge amounts to State campaigns for years and they hate OBama equally. The Republicans in Congress and the Senate also hold sound to these principles. I’m sorry cable t.v. just because you ask and they say “NO” isn’t real convincing to me when we are dealing with people who are not known for their honesty to begin with.

In my estimation it is the Tea Party and Conservatives both. That is the conclusion, with the research that I have done, that I am sticking with. Ahhh if we just had someone willing to do it for us it would be wonderful!

Will it ever be profitable enough again for owners of the media and will we ever find owners who are not too afraid of who they might upset to bring back the Investigative Reporters of the past? We have plenty reporting the lies as truth but will there ever be another team that is not influenced by the lies of politics and the slant of the Station owners? Let’s hope so!

Reviewing Our Lives

Regardless of our age it is always important that we take out time to review our own lives. Too often we can get caught up into the “poor Me’ syndrome or cycle, and it is years later before we are even aware of the fact that we have gotten stuck there.

Negativity can be especially common in the lives of us who have had trauma or lost and we remain in denial instead of dealing with the grieving process.If we grow up in negativity, we often become comfortable living with it to a point that joy actually can frighten us.

We often know how to deal with life when things are going wrong but do not have a clue of how we should respond to things going right, in our life. Some of us will even find a need to apologize for being happy when those around us are struggling. Other times people will become so uncomfortable with things working out they will feel guilt or create a problem that leads to bad results, just to get that old familiar feeling of things going wrong back into their lives.

It is not uncommon that children will grow into adults thinking that if we are not arguing then we are not loved,since it has been so much a part of our life when we were younger.Both men and women, who come out of homes, where the parents stayed together and argued all of their natural life, will adapt to the thinking that if they argue with me, then they still care about me.

In other homes where we experienced a great deal of arguing and our parents divorced, following heated arguments, couples often times will refuse to even discuss their problems or disagree when they should. Too many times arguments will mean both the signal of divorce to both our children as well as ourselves.

Couples who discuss their differences,and we all have them, are not always going to remember to keep our voices down, as the act of yelling makes all of us feel that we have control over the conversation or the person we are disagreeing with,even though there is not truth in it. Yelling simply causes others to be intimidated or relieves stress in us. Yelling is actually a sign of the loss of control over our own behavior.

If we never ask ourselves, what role we play, in what our problems are and what led us to become so negative,but instead always find it easier to blame others, we will often find that sadness,anger, and excuses or an escape to “fantasy land” have become an old companion of our’s while we have been looking at the faults of others. We have simply transferred our own poor behavior onto those closest to us, in some instances.

When we are in our 20′s, we think we have the answers for everything and then we reach our thirties and think we finally understand, who we are, and that is true only if or when we compare ourselves to our twenties. We never really know who we are, if we never question our own motives and the reasons behind our responses or behavior,to people or life. When we review ourselves, while leaving others out of the self-examination entirely, regardless of what age we are, we can become more tuned into what makes us tick.

There is no magic moment, regardless of what age we are, until we can be and are brutally honest with ourselves in understanding what does make us act or react to stimulus of both people and life. We can be any age when we do discover ourself.

It is often brought on by our own health problems or trauma in our lives. When we reach the point our blood pressure is going out of control or we feel reality is slipping away from us, entirely, many will get help then, but in some cases the damage is already done to the psychics of those we have neglected and are responsible for, since we have been confused ourselves.

Too many of us will escape into denial, before we will confront ourselves, in full and complete honesty. Many times if we are going to quit making the same mistake over and over again, we will need to confront ourselves, for our own peace of mind,if nothing else. If we freeze up,out of denial or fear,because we are afraid of repeating the same mistake, then we never make any headway in life.

Confused parents or spouses do not make good spouses or parents, so there is much more at stake than just ourselves. Children never want all the things we buy for them nearly as much as they want our full attention and for us to be there for them. Confused parents are often lost in their own emotions or obsessions,instead of being the parent we want to be.The same is true with both husbands and wives.

We often hear of people’s lives flashing before their eyes on their deathbeds, because too many people do not want to confront what it is that makes them respond, either negatively or positively to life.Sadly if we wait until then, we have no time to correct our mistakes or to renew a healthier and more positive relationship with those who most of us would sacrifice our lives for. Those who truly love us will forgive us when we take time to show them that they can trust our love,some times, before we will forgive ourselves.

We may know our own likes and dislikes better, later in life, but too often we are still apt to go into denial until we do confront ourselves, regardless of our age. If we only see what causes us to react to life and still see the problem as our spouse,parent,or a hectic day at work or with the kids, we never do get that second chance that we all deserve, to explain to ourselves. Usually we have been our own worse judge and jury and we owe it to both ourselves to know why we did what we did, as well as to our children or loved ones.

I’m not suggesting that we blame ourselves for every problem, as too often, too many people will do that,as it is.Sadly, just as many will excuse themselves of everything when it is their own life, that is falling apart, just as well. Where some people will live their lives in denial others will take the blame for everything.

This is not uncommon in families, where children were held responsible for keeping another sibling, as well as themselves in line, before we were even able to understand the rules fully,ourselves. Other times it occurs when there is no guidance or rules for a child to follow.

We all need to understand what it is that does make us vulnerable towards repeating the mistakes of the past so that we can let go of both our obsessions as well as our anxiety and begin enjoying life instead of dreading it.

When we review our own lives we often find that those we blamed, the most, did not play a role in our own hate but became a part of the lie, we told ourselves, while hanging onto our own denial.Sometimes we maybe surprised to find that we have in truth, hated ourselves, while blaming another.

In understanding ourselves we heal at least 3 generations along with us, many times. To deny ourselves and our loved ones, this opportunity towards healing and reuniting, can be far worse than anything else we have done wrong to date.

It is many times a 15 minute exercise that most of us can do on our own during a quiet time, usually in the evening, when we ask ourselves what worked for me today and what didn’t. We also need to ask ourselves what did I do to change the direction today took, both positively and negatively, without the name of another person coming into the picture to blame while we make excuses for ourselves. From there we simply take it the direction it needs to go. If we are not making any progress because we are no longer able to recognize truth or work beyond a habit or obsession, then please ask for the help of those who will guide you.

Mankind was neither meant to lie or to hate and too often denial brings both with it,while doing harm to those we love most. It is never just as simple as “She or He did me wrong” or “After all he/she did to me, I am entitled to be a bitch or a jerk,” when we keep growing the list, and never see our own name on it, we have a problem that needs healing.

Nothing is more satisfying in life than finding peace of mind and the satisfaction of waking up and feeling joy, on a daily basis. On the other hand, nothing is more troubling or painful than waking up hating a new day and making those that we love,fear us or being continually at unrest or confused,ourselves.We have no one to blame but ourselves, if we refuse to look for and find our own happiness. I can’t imagine living life being any other way, nor would I want anyone I know to ask for less.The good news is our loved ones feel the same about us, when we both give and receive unconditional love.

Successful Families

I have written about families who do not succeed, as obviously families who do and have been successful,clearly know and understand the value of taking responsibility for their own lives, and will continue doing just fine without the financial or moral advice of others, as long as other family members understand that they still need and want as much acceptance as the other member or members of the family, who do or does not achieve,at the same rate.

Successful families will spend as much time offering genuine congratulations as they will sympathy.They gain hope for themselves through the success of the other members who have made it, if that is their goal. If they know and are honest with themselves, that they will never achieve the same, because they have different goals or priorities,not to mention spending habits, they do not begrudge the success of their siblings. Money will never pass the hands of the adult members unless it is given of the free will and clear thinking of a family member in form of a Birthday or Christmas gift.

If we do give money or help, it is because we want to and not because we feel manipulated into doing so,but we do it with the acceptance of everyone involved. It needs to be money given freely that will not lead to our own hardships, later,if we do find we need the money. Families will help out when a member of the family has an emergency, due to a car breaking down, illness,moving,fires, or once in a life-time or extremely rare layoff,etc., when they are able to help, as long as, it does not take their life savings.

I haven’t come close to even skimming the surface, of truly painful dysfunctions in families, who do not even rate on the scale of remote acceptance, when it comes to family values. These family members have no regard for anyone beyond where they are going to get their next fix and how they will find the money to do so,even when it comes to stealing from family members or prostituting out their own spouse or children or themselves. Yet parents will blindly aid and abet them at a price or lost to the entire family. They will only get better,many times when they are arrested or sent to rehabilitation. At the other end of the spectrum are those who are so greedy they would sell their own mother, if they could make a profit on it. Instead I have pretty much stayed with what has been common in families over the generations, when families fail to last.

Where no member feels justified or entitled to borrow money, or money never enters the picture because of manipulation or guilt,much less where borrowing becomes habit,families eliminate the number one cause of families failing. The number two cause of failure is finding fault and passing blame and making assumptions based on the sense of entitlement. When families fail to understand that Mom and Dad do not owe us money for our childhood nor do we owe them money for it,unless a formal loan was made by word of mouth or contract, and parents do not make their children compete for their time and attention through the use of failure, while success goes unrewarded,families do work out and last.

The reason I have expressed taking responsibility for ourselves, when we become adults and it is time to move on, is because many times it is the child that fails in doing so, that parents feel most protective of defending. We parents do wear blinders, many times, in not understanding the damage we do to our own families when we feel the need to make the weak member of the household ,our favorites. To express that this child is and has always been our favorite, only adds flame to the fire, when the other children have never asked anything of us, but instead have only offered to help us when we needed help.

Successful families do not have a parent or child in it that is lying, in order to get attention or sympathy, in order to come out as the most favored child or sibling,they do not disown or exclude a member of the family from family gatherings,or lie to buy drugs, or lie to cover for the fact they have a spending problem,to cover for their gambling,or because they simply fail to work long enough and hard enough to reach their own goals through saving,etc. Successful families do not use their failures or claim to be the most unfortunate member of the family, in order to blackmail their parents or to play on their parents guilt.

Successful families are not made responsible for the sibling who fails to live within the boundaries of the income they earn. Successful families are accepting of our differences, over being critical of them. Successful families understand that we will each be tested in our own range of life and our tests of life do not need to be compared with theirs.

It is not uncommon that those who are tested the most severe, are often the most grateful amongst us as well as the last to complain about their hardship. They can and do appreciate the lesson that has been taught them and the value of having learned the lesson. Successful families will make room for the spouses of each family member, to express their own minds.Successful families are those who if they choose to marry, will understand that the wife deals with the issues in her family while the husband deals with the issues in his family but they come first, when it comes to communicating between the two, if and when problems arise.

I could go on forever, and not touch all the reasons why families fail or succeed, but for the most part when assumptions are made by us and other members of the family fail to live up to our expectations or demands, and we end up disappointed as a result of our own erroneous ideas, and when we place conditions on our love, then our families will enter the danger zone that does lead to failure.

Unconditional love and acceptance of our differences given freely without strings attached or expectations in return,garnered with respect for each member by all members who have not suffered hardship as a result of the behavior of another, will be behind the reason, families succeed.Pretty simple when we think about it, but if our family has a member in it, who will obsess over the sinfulness of Santa Claus, then we need to make certain our minds are as open as our hearts or understand at what point or level of abuse, will we be justified in walking away.

We need to understand we cannot control others or make decisions for them and each decision we make needs to be an individual decision based on our own thought process and made for ourselves,in an effort to spare our own sanity through truth and in avoidance of denial as well as our own physical well-being,sometimes for the survival of our own marriage or other times for the safeguard of our minor children.

MY hope then is that we all remember when we gather this weekend for an enjoyable Labor Day celebration to Truly celebrate what we love about each other and stay away from assumptions or anything that will divide us, and we will all do fine. The major thing to bear in mind is,”It is a camping trip”. Someone will forget something,someone will not always move at the speed that we would like,children living in close quarters are more apt to argue as are parents,there will be tears and bites but we hope the tears are not coming from the adults, and the number one thing to remember is,”Just think how nice it will be to be back home into the routine we complained about before we left to go camping.” If you are spending it elsewhere, without extended family, then enjoy the last break before the snow or rain flies with the cold. Have a safe but enjoyable trip,everyone!
