Statistics, Divorce And The Right-Wing

It’s interesting to read the argument set forth as the reason towards less education and better marriages. According to the school of thought that statistics show that highschool graduates that marry have a higher success rate of staying together than those that meet and marry during their college years. It is the limitations that are placed on these statistics that show that to be true. When taken over the full length of a marriage then the numbers change considerably towards a more even balance in the two sectors.

As I have said in my previous posts people stay together because they are full filling a need in each other more so than because their marriages are “happily ever after ” marriages. It stands to reason that when it takes two highschool graduates to make the house payment and support the family as versus one college graduate having the capacity to do both due to higher pay, making the payment and support alone then people will tolerate more abuse in order to save their homes.

Statistics also will show that when those marriages are followed through to the point that the children are raised then the average of divorce will increase in the highschool graduate sector. More highschool graduates also attend churches than college graduates so a great deal of these marriages will last due to religious reasons irregardless of how miserable the couple that remain together become, and certainly not based on the fact that they are happier marriages.

When looking at the statistics we’re asked “Are you content or happy in your marriage?” then the statistics sway further towards the college graduates than the highschool graduates in the cases where both remain married. It is very common for people who marry young to feel like they have missed out on something in life because they did marry young and they tend to stray in middle age as a result of that. It is not uncommon at all for college students to marry especially on the professional level in order for usually the wife to get a job and put hubby through post-graduate studies.

These marriages do have a high instance of divorce for that reason. Once hubby reaches the level of partner in a law firm or a medical Doctor then some do desert the woman who worked and many times gave up her own opportunities to be educated in favor for her husband’s future.

It is when both people marry, once they have established their own careers, regardless of education that the statistics show the highest rate of success in marriages when it comes to both people being both validated and happy in their marriages but we never hear those statistics when the interest is in favor of dummying up America. It is true that many times college is the first time in life that young people will be called on to question the law and rule of society. In other words to use their brains to think for themselves over being told what to think.

That also includes the validity and accuracy of the Bible and religion as a whole. Higher education does lead to fewer people accepting religion blindly without question, and as a result it becomes in the best interest of some religions to limit education on a number of levels. This is especially true when young adults leave both homeschooling and private schools and attend public colleges. This becomes a matter of both life and death in the survival of the fundamentalist evangelcalist and some other religions that take the interpretation of the Bible literally as the Word of God.

Unlike some other religions that accept that there were errors made in the interpretation of the Bible since no living person was alive that knew the written or spoken language at the time the old testament was interpreted. Also other religions do accept evolution with the understanding that God breathed a soul into mankind.The fundamentalist evangelicals believe every word of the Bible to be accurate and the Word of God. They also believe in Creationism over Evolution. This, along with other issues of faith, is a large enough of a separation, that it is placing religion against religion and drawing political power into it.

All of the Churches are in agreement with each other,though, when it comes to changing the constitution that grants equal rights of freedom to women,minorities, and gays by repealing the amendment allowing Equal Opportunity of choice and employment added to the constitution. This also includes the disability act.They have both the backing and support of the political right-wing embedded in the Republican Party as well as a very few members of the Democratic Party. The Tea Party movement also shares in this endeavor.

There are variable degrees of racism and social issues amongst the Fundamentalist and Evangelicals who comprise younger groups even though some of the older established Protestant religions tended to be anti-slavery. The Fundamentalists and Evangelicals tend to be younger as are the Tea Party members but have branched off from the original established Protestant religions made up of Baptists,Lutheran,Methodist,Presbyterian,Quakers, Church Of Christ, 7 day Adventist and so on and so forth. The established Protestant Religions have been losing membership while the Evangelicals and Fundamentalists have been growing in numbers.

Both Catholic and Mormons also reject equal rights of choice for women, minorities and gays and have fought against the Equal Opportunity and Employment acts added to the constitution in the 1970′s. Just as the Mormons spent huge amounts of money to try to stop the passage of it and succeeded in doing so from the 1920′s to the 1970′s. As are both the Catholics and Mormons against divorce and abortion so are the Fundamentalists and Evangelicals but that is where it splits amongst them all in variable degrees when it comes to social issues and their role or lack of role in them. As did all of the original Prostestant Religions vary in those practices so do the Fundamentalists and Evangelicals. There are huge gaps as well in theology and acceptable beliefs and practices.

Because most people appear to be afraid for one reason or other to be honest about why intelligence, college or furthering education beyond homeschooling or highschool is being discouraged and deliberately degraded in the sector of the far right Republican party and amongst different religious groups as well as the Tea Party I simply print it here to keep you informed.

So Does Either Party Hold the Truth?

The answer to that is a resounding, “NO”. If we can’t find the truth in our own families how are we going to find the truth in politics? I write heavily on the side of the Democratic party simply because there are so many lies being spread against them. I doubt that, although I share their philosophy as a whole, that all of the Democrats elected are even aware of what their party stands for. Just ask the people of Nebraska about Ben Nelson’s representation of the Democratic Party and support for George Bush and voting along Republican lines.

I would not be married for 40 years to the man I love, who is Republican, if I did not respect him. Clearly his arguments are as sound as mind are. I become concern when I read all the right wing’s rhetoric that ties itself to the Republican Party and then frustrated that the general well being of our Country is being lost behind their onslaught of lies. Certainly one has grounds to say the same for individual members of the Democratic party.

That is my concern then that it no longer appears to be Democrats vs. Republicans but if we believe the Fox Network or the Christian Broadcast Networks or the internet then the Democrats are nothing more than left wing Liberals out to destroy America. Lets face it our 8 trillion dollar debt was able to grow in silence although reputable networks showed the massive debt ticking away on their networks. Even when the Republicans were in full control and causing the majority spending that led to the mess that we are in today, no one, was speaking up. It was not until George Bush came front and center and announced that the economy was in worse shape than what anyone knew and they were working towards bailing out the automobile industry, that word began spreading.

I try to be a fair person, but my common sense began bouncing off the wall at how quickly it went from the Republicans adding to this massive debt into being OBama’s fault for the whole thing. If all we ever hear is one voice and that is of the right-wing we should be concern. What in God’s name then is it that makes us believe it as though it is gospel?

Let’s face it, to be a politician takes an unique personality, in the first place. To begin with it is the only job in America that the employee has to buy the job. The same way that massive groups of Americans are moved by the charismatic personalities in their own families as well as the Evangelicals and the Fundamentalists ,especially, but all Churches in general attract members as a result of charismatic personalities, so do we the people elect our politicans.

The unfortunate truth is that the most competent people amongst us are not driven my the ego of our politicians. They have to believe that they know better than all the rest of us, how to solve the ills of society, not much different than the leaders of our churches and the family member that in a sense holds all of hostage. The salary is not enough to pay for their expenses once they get to Washington and with an over blown ego to begin with doesn’t it make sense that they could be persuaded with both special interests and cash shortages that it will be just this one time?

In order to live comfortably then as a politician, most need to be wealthy before they get to Washington. Since when did people that are accustomed to having their butts kissed, their meals picked up and people hired to do the monotous work, ever know what living in America entailed? Just to attend functions necessary to be able to network in Washington, itself, will not pay for a poor mans livelyhood. To think that any politician no matter how much that they convince us otherwise, is not part of Washington, is ludicrous!

The minute they do win the election, which required the beginning of the lies, as their campaign slogans should all read the same, “I am here to bullshit my way through until I win your vote,” they are hit with the influence of Washington. Have no doubts about it, in order to be able to run and win the elections, due to handlers and special interests, unless they have paid for their own campaigns, they have already made promises to special interest of some type.

This is not just a phenominal thing that happens in Washington. It exists in State and City elections as well. I am not neither against Religion or Republicans as both play a necessary as well as major place in our lives. No one wants a one party system. That is why only one State in the Union, has a uni-cameral, and that is Nebraska. To be Democrat and to live in the State means the only way a Democrat’s vote is going to win is if the Republicans approve of the candidate. So far the only Democrat president that has won their approval has been L.B. Johnson. That means generations of families that vote Democrat have never won a presidential election. None of us want that.

I myself would never had been able to survive the 30 plus years of pain that I have lived with if I did not believe in God, and without religion, I would have never known of His generosity, to me. Ask anybody that deals with people on a regular basis, in death and they will all tell you the same thing, “On the death bed there are no atheist”. Having held the hands of people that are dieing I have been puzzled as to why they continue to live following the death rattles, and it seems to be Universal, that when a person dies they need to be able to let go Spiritually as well as physically.

I do believe though, just as governments, have no right to interfer in religion that religion has no right to tie itself or it’s followers to government. Just as the choice of Church is ours the candidate also should be ours to choose. Unless those of us that are still left with a monicum of common sense, speak up against the lies of the right wing,who else will? One thing that we can all agree with is no one family member, church or politican is the holder of the truth so why do you all speak as they are?

What Do They All Have in Common?

They all have felt that they were all disappointed or felt betrayed by families, traditional religion,government or in short by Society. They have come from homes when they were children that were broken, or they were abused and neglected, parents were drug users or alcoholics or they were given either nothing or everything to the point that they grew up feeling empty inside when it came to their spiritual needs. Nothing teaches bigotry better than ignorance! Some, if not all, of these groups are or have extremists amongst them.

They are now sending their children off to camps to be brain washed by Charismatic Personalities that know even less than they do. Jesus camps are brainwashing their children in the same manner that the Grand Supreme masters brain wash the children of the K.K.K. and being told to take back our Country for Christ.

All no different that Hitler or Stalin were able to brainwash their followers. Do you really think there will be no blood shed? How naive is it that everything will be peaceful and nothing militant? In order for ALL of them to work the victims need to be ignorant of the truth as well as history and the earlier the better when it comes to the ability to brainwash. Home schools are perfect towards teaching their idea of history and lies. The more they hear the lies repeated the more they become convinced of it’s truth. The Rush Limbaugh types on the Christian Broadcasting Networks or most of the radio stations owned by the same, also are an excellent aide. The object of their derision at the moment is President Barack OBama as well as all liberals, in an effort to defeat healthcare.

Apparently you know nothing about the Christian Crusades or religion taking control of government in the Middle East that set out to kill the Muslims or Jews in much the same manner as your children are being taught hate and lies in a slow but sure process, here. When the men in power get what they want they will be cast off.

These people that you are ,intrusting your children to, many times know even less about theology than you do. Rebellion is a normal healthy step of adolescents and teen agers. If our children are not allowed to take these steps to express themselves they will allow someone to brainwash them and mistreat them their entire lives. How can you knowingly, Mom and Dad, subscribe to this for your own flesh and blood?

Yes, our generation was diasappointed by the establishment as well as Society but thank God some of us were able to take what the traditional churches taught us and apply it to our lives. I will always be grateful to the Catholic Church for what I did learn about Christ even though their behavior, was not always what they taught. At least I was allowed to think well enough for myself that I was able to walk when I noticed, “they were not practicing what they preached.” Can’t you trust yourselves to take care of your responsibilities to say “NO” and teach your own children values that are not based on their lies? How Christ like are lies and bigotries?

I can’t imagine that you would rather have someone that has not even put in, many times, more than 12 hours into theology, if that, just because they have the appearance of looking like what you approve of along with the Charismatic personality, where they agree with you. You mistakenly think that when your children come home with all of their own personality washed out of them and thinking like you do that they are being helped. Teaching bias and hate is WRONG! Women, minorities and gays no more than Jews are not destroying our freedoms–The Jesus Camps are destroying our freedom, and you are providing your own children to advance their causes!

So the Conservatives meet with the average age being 30 just as concern about economy and jobs as the rest of us and social issues are down the list and the press goes, “Oh maybe their o.k., after all.” Never mind that they have the Queen against education, Sarah Palin, as speaker and the king of lies, Glen Beck as speaker. They are expressing the concern of the rest of us so social issues must not be such a big deal with the younger people. As though they would put them first, as doing so, only weakened rather than strengthened the right wing the generation before. By keeping the focus on the young people they can buy every election that serves their purpose.

By trying again with the young people that have not yet established their names as zealots they can lay back until they have the control they need in the elections, to change the Constitution that takes civil rights away from women and minorities. Thereby allowing the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. Also Turning the Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck types loose blaming the Democrats and liberals of socialism and communism when it really falls more into place of being their goals.

Are you so busy Mom and Dad that you no longer know the truth, yourselves, or are you BRAINWASHED? Can’t you teach your own children right from wrong? Are you so weak as to not be able to tell them “NO”. Can’t you teach them responsibility for their own wants and and behavior in order for them to be independent and capable of thinking for themselves? It is a MUST if Democracy as we have known it, is to survive!

ARROGANCE! Can We Afford It?

I can pretty much accept and get along with any personality. As a matter of fact, I pride myself on the fact that all of my life, I deliberately avoided any kind or type of clique,peers, or gender groups or organizations that showed, bias. I have found that if we stay with only one group or economic class, we only cheat ourselves out of knowing very delightful and wonderful people.

Having said that, as I watched CNN and it’s interviewees, with both the Democratic rep. and the Republican rep., whose names I will not mention, I was reminded of the reason why, I am a Democrat. I am and was totally disgusted with the Republican arrogance that comes out when I hear so many of them speak. I do not include all Republicans in this group, as after all, I am married to a very down to earth Republican and can testify that many of them are getting a bum rap due to the hypocrites amongst them.

The interview took place following the 6 hour plus healthcare meeting. The Republican man said,”The reason the Democrats want healthcare and the Republicans don’t is because it is the Republicans who pay the most out in taxes and the Democrats that receive the most back from taxes.” Thank God, that the Democrat rep. got as disgusted by his statement as I did and put him in his place!

From the beginning of our two party system it has always been the middle class that has always paid the most out in taxes when income is scaled. The Democratic Party since it’s invention has supported the middle class workers and their Unions. The truth is that the poor and the wealthy pay little to nothing, dollar for dollar of income into taxes, along side of the ratio of middle class. Nor do we have the numerous write-offs of the wealthy.

So many Republicans, anymore, are the people having the large families due to the strong connections of the Churches in the Republican Party, that preach against the use of birth control. When these Churches switched party of preference so did the people attending these Churches. As a matter of fact, due to the number of children in these households, many do not even pay income taxes because of the deductions per child that they receive in accordance to the amount of money they make.

As much as we may admire or in some cases complain about them, large families as a rule, are Republicans and they gain more from the government system than any other population, next to our politicians. They are the largest growing body of population in America if we accept today’s statistics. Those of us from both parties are not brain dead to the fact that the arrogant want them on their side on election day but try their hardest to deny their existance the rest of the time.

It isn’t just that comment that made me sick but the hypocrisy and idea that this Senator is so far out of touch with his own base and can not grasp that many wealthy Democrats along with middle class Democrats choose to be generous and empathetic to other people. We are Democrats because we know that there are people who are in less fortunate circumstances than we are and that is why many of us are more than willing, to give through our taxes, to help our less fortunate, Americans. It is and always has been the difference in the philosophies of the two parties. Some of us simply feel fortunate to be in the best Democracy in the World. We want to help others that need our compassion and understanding but that would never occur to the Arrogant.

One thing, none of us, want to pay for is the greedy, arrogant, hypocrites and those that feel entitled in our Country. It is exactly that attitude and being that far out of touch with their voting base along with their total lack of compassion in the Republican snobs that make me, a Democrat, fed up with the previous administration. It will never occur to any of them EVER that they owe ALL of us an apology as they blame today’s administration for the mess THEY made.

Instead they deliberately lie about who is responsible for the spending that put us in this mess, while they campaign in the House and Senate, instead of serving “We the People.” Where were you all that are now screaming about the deficit now that we have NO choice but to spend money to try to put the economy together that you destroyed? To those of us in both parties, with common-sense, it disgusts us as it is pure hypocrissy at it’s worse.

In my opinion, the greatest waste of taxpayer money today, is their pay checks, retirement pensions and health care benefits. I doubt it even occurs to them that they are the group that receives the most of their livelyhood from the taxes given by the Democrats. None of us can afford to pay any longer for such ARROGANCE.
