Bigots Speak At CPAC

For those who do not know what CPAC means, it is the initials for Conservative Political Action committee that is meeting for the second day today, to firm up their straw poll for which candidate they will support. Early forecasts, and if you read my post yesterday it should be no surprise to anyone, if applause is any indicator, it appears that Rick Santorum will be their choice.

If I may digress from the title for a moment, when Rick Santorum was asked what he thought about the changes being made in the military for women in combat; He said, and I quote,”I do not think that it is a good idea to put women on the front lines as it would offer too many distractions because of emotions.”

This is another typically insane statement that comes out of the disturbed mind of Rick Santorum. Everyone appears to be puzzled by exactly what he means. Does he think women are too emotional to do the job or does he think it will distract the male troops if they get an erection? When he exclaims,”It’s hot down there”, one can only believe he is talking of the later, unless perhaps he has a venereal disease for which he needs to be treated with anti-biotics.

The man is so focused against women libertine and against contraception, just being wrong in his mind,it’s anyone’s guess what he is saying. His ideals are even extreme when it comes to the teachings of the Catholic Church, which he professes to be a member of. He clearly speaks as a man who only sees women as a womb and therefore incapable of anything other than procreation. Apparently he is in favor of the idea that women just lay there and conceive since the fear of pregnancy or pleasure, would be a sin for women, in his convoluted mind.

The really offensive thing, and it only follows up with the bigotry in the Conservative group and Tea Party belief, is that the White Nationalists are speaking at this Convention to not only promote their own ideology but that which the John Birch Society embraces and from which the Tea Party springs, as well.

The official interpretation of the White Nationalists is that it is an intellectual society as well as political that advocates National identity for the white race with subgroups of White separation and White supremacy although they try to play down the supremacy group while in conversation. They use statistics and social science to define their self-conscious white identity. They challenge immigration,civil rights and racial integration, no different from what the Tea Party does.

White people are defined by them to mean people of White European descent with non-Jewish roots. The truth is they are no different from the judges, ministers, and lawyers who use to wear white robes and hoods with the exception that they do not go around burning crosses or killing innocent people.

For those of us who know that the Conservatives claim to be so pro-Israel, we have to question as to why they would tolerate such bigots at their conventions, much less let them speak.

The answer of course is that when Rick Santorum made the comment in Iowa, “we needed to make black people get off welfare and work for their pay check.” he spoke out loud what the Conservatives really say behind closed doors. Only Newt said it out loud in front of the World when he said,”Black youth need to be put to work as janitors in the schools and babysitters at the illegal age of ten. The bigots are gathering to train their subjects.

If the Conservative and Tea Party connections, do not scare us all then those of you who are bigots, all I can say is, I am sorry that you allow yourself to hate because it only destroys you.Many times when we think we are better than someone else that “Karma” will follow us to the point that it will either turn our own children or our grand children against us.

Those of you who think your genealogy will withstand the “white test” could be surprised to find yourself the victim of discriminatory practices, by the time these bigots finish their studies.

There were laws prohibiting marriage in Europe, as well as America. People were not allowed to marry outside of their Class, Religion or Race. This did not prevent couples from falling in love, although it was forbidden by law.

As a result of the lack of effective birth control for women, unlawful pregnancies did occur. If they married or considered marriage, they were put in jails and frequently sentenced to death. Other times they would be hung and beaten by what was known as mob justice or vigilantes. Fathers and husbands had a right to punish their daughters or wives in any manner they saw fit.

The Ku Klux Klan killed Catholics, Jews, and African-Americans, while others looked the other way and denied any knowledge of the same. Bombings of Churches and Synagogues along with homes of families and lawyers, who worked towards civil rights and in defense of the same, were a constant in the South. If they did not seek illegal abortions under duress, then adoptions were sit up that gave the child different backgrounds and a new identity.

The hate that existed amongst races and religions,were more violent because of prosecution today, but the hate being directed towards people of the Muslim religion and against gay marriages, today, is the same, as the bigotry against inter racial marriage was then.

It is government and the laws that prevent the constant and continued violence that they were able to get away with then. The Conservatives and Tea Party have a continued refrain as to the interference of government in our lives, since they believe equality of the races, women, and workers is theirs to determine. In truth, they see us as the”lesser of God’s creatures,”for which the Bible gave them dominance over. They quoted the Bible against inter racial marriages then as they do against gay marriages today.

No one ever spoke of or ever told children, who were conceived out of marriage, that they had been adopted out to other families. Closet secrets were to remain in the closet and anyone who failed to “Honor” the secrets, was usually sent away from the family or made the “Black Sheep” of the community. Other times the community would literally pour hot tar on them and then pour feathers over them, if anyone divulged any truths that were to remain secret. They had many ways to force people to remain silent through acts of humiliations, if anyone was to tell the truth.

If the children were too young to remember the adoption, they grew up never knowing they were adopted but in many cases always longing for something that they felt missing in their lives. The adopted child simply took on the religious beliefs of the family who adopted them along with their nationality or race.This produced many of our ancestors. It was not until 1967 in Pace vs. Alabama, The Supreme Court ruled that inter racial marriages were legal.

At other times, the family who declare European descent, and think their ancestors did not marry or have a family member of a different race forced to produce a child in their family, should reacess their thinking, as it is very rare in America, when a member of our own family was not placed in a compromised position by those who felt entitled to commit injustice against a member of our own family.

All of us have members of our families who would be of questionable descent on their list of “unacceptables”. Men of all nationalities as well as men of white European descent, throughout the world, have forced themselves on women of all races,creed and color since the beginning of time. When these bigots determine who can pass their tests, they go back many generations as what they really are after is dominance of the entire human race.

The attacks on women or on other occasions, the secret affairs by women, have produced children who became our ancestors, even if they did not marry them out right;as a result rare is the family that would not be considered a mixed race family by these bigots. We cannot let the bigots amongst us return us to the 1700′s mentality, with our help.

When they claim, “President OBama is causing Class Warfare.” they are doing nothing more than using diversion tactics in an effort to cover up the truth. It is no different from the tar and feathering of another time in history. By now we should all be aware of their intentions to deny equality to all but the 1%, while President OBama fights on for the best interests of all of us.

When people of different backgrounds and ideas meet to discuss different thoughts,actions, or theories we become the most advanced and strongest in the job market. It is through new inventions and ideas that we lead the World in productivity. This is what has always given us the step-up and advanced us as a Nation over the rest of the World.

Even with our economy, that is slowly recovering, we are still considered the safest Country in the world for other Nations to invest. When we accept the differences that exist in all of us, regardless of race,creed, and color, we also lead the World in the acceptance of morality and human rights.

It has always been the differences between us that stimulates thought and engineering in American Democracy, and has made us the greatest Democracy in the World. To allow these bigots to destroy our acceptance of diversity is no different from if we, ourselves, participate in the destruction of our own Democracy.

I will digress again and offer an update on the Wisconsin recall of Tea Party Governor Scott Walker, as another thing that must never change us back to the mentality that these bigots are suggesting and before Unions were established to protect our rights as workers, is the right for the American worker to receive an honest day’s pay for an honest days’ work.

After the Koch brothers pumped millions of dollars into their efforts to save Scott Walker, the legitimacy of the million signatures that were gathered on the petition to recall him, have been verified and found accurate. It is the largest ever done in history.

Scott Walker’s Pacs are running ads that are filled with lies with the 4 million dollars pumped into his fight to remain in office, from Tea Party interests.

Those who do not know what the problem is, Scott Walker, has been Union busting in the State and has laid off more workers in Wisconsin, than any State in the United States, as well as, set back the teaching staff, to the point Wisconsin schools may never recover.

The up and coming bright star of the Republican Party and Tea Party darling, governor Mitch Daniels, of Indiana is doing the same thing with the Republican majority in his State by passing through, “the right to work laws.” This has also been attempted in Ohio.

The Republicans in Virginia, under the guidance of Bob McDonnell, who is on the A-list as a vice Presidential candidate, have passed through the legislation, a bill that would ban all birth control. They have also passed a bill stating that all women, including rape and incest victims, must be probed by a totally intrusive, sometimes painful, and unnecessary vaginal ultrasound, before abortion can be allowed.This includes women whose lives are endangered by pregnancy.

The legal definition of rape is any unwanted penetration of a person’s body. For the State Republican legislators of Virginia to deny women their Constitutional right to their own body and instead declare it legal to penetrate a woman’s body with a vaginal ultrasound, is nothing more than legalizing rape against women.

All this is unconstitutional and very humiliating and an unnecessary expense for young girls who are victims of rape and only subjects them to another rape as it does all women. It is totally degrading to women’s rights for the State to say it has the right to choose how women’s’ bodies and health will be treated. The Republican majority also passed the”right to work laws that breaks up the Unions so that factories and Corporations can lower wages to the workers, while increasing hours that workers must work.

While the Conservatives all yell,” about too much government,” it is too much of the bigoted Tea Party and Conservatives, who are responsible for our corroding rights, as American citizens, instead. While the Republicans stir up Religious rights being infringed on in Congress, they are only throwing up more smoke screens to deny the right of every woman to make the decision in their own health, in their Doctor’s office.

Government as does Unions,protects the rights of women,minorities, and workers, and that is why they make so many inaccurate statements and complaints about government interference and against Unions, while they themselves totally abuse our rights to choose,to determine our own health issues,lifestyle, earn an income, in a safe working environment, that will provide for our families and maintain our human dignity, because their real interests lies in doing away with both government and Unions that protect us.

Finally then I will close with this; If we do not educate ourself further on the sameness along with the differences between ourself and other ideas,races,political parties,and,religions,we will never truly know ourselves. When we refuse others the right to accept what they have an equal right to we refuse ourselves, as well as the next generations, their rights to earn dignity from a job well done.

Our Forefathers understood that morality could not be legislated. They understood as the rational members amongst us do, that none of the Churches much less mankind itself, would or could ever agree on what rules of morality would apply.

No two Churches in America have yet agreed 100% conclusively on what they determine to be moral. Even inside their own Church there are many extreme interpretations of morality that often lead to splinter groups or Churches breaking away to establish their own Church with their own definition of morality. When they do come close to agreeing they argue over how it should be handled and who will be in charge of determining the rules and administering the same. That argument, with a 70% majority of Tea Party and Conservative membership, has entered the Republican Party and renders them ineffective with agreeing on anything or more importantly, to represent “We the People”.

It is the Tea Party, Conservatives and bigots,once more trying to infringe on the rights of American citizens,while hiding behind Religious Rights, who would do away with the Equal rights Amendment along with decisions of the Supreme Court and our Constitution that protects us all.

European descent means nothing to how we live, it is how we think, feel,act towards others, and accept other people, who are different from ourselves, that says it all.Ignorance is always at the key root of bigotry and hate, and often followed by greed. Once we learn about others we learn more about ourselves. If we vote in ignorance then every member of our own family will pay for the mistake we make in November, generations after us.

Good luck in your studies, if you are ready to let go of the your own misconceptions. I hope so for your sake that you will take this advice that I offer. Usually I don’t offer advice to others but in this case I will make an exception as I want all my readers, along with our neighbors and fellow citizens, to know the pure joy of acceptance of the equal rights of every American citizen.

Under my own logo I totally discourage taking advice from others who are unfamiliar with our own feelings and circumstances so it is a true contradiction for me to offer it, otherwise. Orson Welles said it best when he said,”Giving good advice is utterly pointless as the wise do not need it and the stupid do not listen;” with that I wish you all a friendly week-end everyone. Don’t forget to hug someone or a pet.

Why Mitt Can’t Relate To Us

We often hear Mitt Romney say, “I earned what I have gotten and I should not be criticized for it.” I wonder if we, or even he knows how much truth that is lacking in that statement? The education he received and did not have to pay for, the contacts both in business and politically that he had because of his family background and his Religion, and the debt he did not begin his life with, are all reasons that Mitt cannot honestly say he earned everything he has and the reason he cannot relate to us, the working poor and middle class workers.

All of us would be CEO’s sitting on some board or the other if we did nothing but accept those gifts given to us by our parents and had the contacts that he has had.Well maybe at least 80% of us would. The wealthy have plenty non-achievers in their families, as well, but they keep that covered up and away from public view unless they get arrested.

Mitt’s father was CEO of American Motors from 1954 to 1962. He was Governor of Michigan from 1963 to 1969.His father George served as United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1969 to 1973. His wife and Mitt’s mother ran for the United States Senate. George Romney ran for President in 1968 against Richard Nixon. The general consensus was that he was an ineffective campaigner. Does that sound familiar to us or comparable to Mitt?

With all that in his background and Mitt living in a castle in France, while he did Church work for the Mormon Church, is it any wonder that Mitt Romney does not have a clue as to how the working poor and middle class live?

All he knows are the preconceived notions or perhaps bigotry he grew up hearing or associated with while rubbing elbows with the wealthy and political of the Republican Party and the Schools he attended, and has always been surrounded by. His handlers can give him an idea of what the problems are but every time he goes off script he does not use the wrong word, as he says he does, but instead he says what he thinks and believes because he has never come close to living the way the normal American lives their life.

He put 100 million dollars tax-free into trust for his five sons who each get paid 1 million dollars a year tax-free, since Mitt and his wife pay the taxes on it. It accounts for part of the 13.9% tax that Mitt released to the public. In short then when the 13.9% paid out not only covers Mitt’s and his wife’s taxes but that of 5 adult family members and their wives, divided by six in total, the rates that the Romney family pay in taxes each, amounts to closer to 2.5% while he says the poor have a safety net. Of course every time the wealthy get out of paying taxes the government defict rises while we get taxed for it.

Talk about welfare or a safety net, as all we can give our children, without being taxed gift taxes is $13,000.00 per child per year or $26,000.00 per married couple. Mitt’s accountants figured out how he could gift his sons a 100 million and do it tax-free. Is this the kind of help that Mitt did not get? Do any of us think that we could live this way and not become a success in anything we chose to do, since Mormons for the most part do work in Companies and Corporations that are owned by the Mormon Church.

The reason there are so many Mormons in Nevada, is because the Mormon people are allowed to work in the casinos owned by the Church, but not gamble or drink in them. It is also the reason Mitt will win the caucus in Nevada on Saturday, since Mormons do tend to vote for the Mormon candidate.

The Mormons own the land that many of the Casinos are built on in Las Vegas, as they were the original settlers of Las Vegas. The casinos on the strip do not own the land that they sit on but instead they lease it from the Mormon Church. Most of the casinos today are traded on Wall Street and it is Wall Street who is putting money into the Super Pacs who are burning thousand dollar bills in Mitt Romney’s campaign. If the Mormon church was not a Church it would be on the top of the list of Forbes’ 500 because of its huge amount of unreported and untaxed wealth.

In saying President OBama is naive in his handling of withdrawing from Afghanistan, Mitt Romney, might as well be talking about himself. President Barack OBama and Paneta have proven to the American Public, with Hiliary Clinton’s hard work, that they are well versed in knowing how to get their man or woman, and knows when to bring them home, which ever the case may be. I don’t think we have to worry too much about any of them.

It should frighten all of us, however, to think that Mitt Romney, will some day be Commander-in-Chief and totally taken advantage of by those in both the Military as well as the Pentagon,and the Congress and Senate, if he should ever win an election, as President of United States;or worse yet,will lead them in “hatchet man” style. This is not a family who has ever volunteered to serve or been drafted into the military service.

In America, we mainly get it right or people themselves know and understand when they are politician material. Both Mitt Romney himself,as well as,the GOP have gotten it wrong with Mitt Romney. Unless of course the Republicans are looking for a “Hatchet Man” which is what Mitt Romney really is. A politician he isn’t, nor will he ever be, when it comes to having the good sense to say the right thing and it is called for under strategic situations.

Do we need a “hatchet man” in Washington, who will not deal with the deficit, but instead with the jobs of the working poor and middle class? Haven’t we had our employment and benefits cut enough? Do we the working poor and middle class voter really need some one as President, who has a history of being a “Hatchet Man” in the office of President?

The fact that he won Florida and only got 8% of the vote, out of the entire population of 8 million plus in Florida, should tell us that he will not be much of a threat to the Democrats, but still, don’t we have to ask why this man is even running and use our common sense when asking the question?

It would do us all well to know, that his old Mormon own company, Baine and Company, is being paid 14 million dollars a month to help American Airlines work out under their labor costs. American Airlines, who needs to put 97 million dollars into their pension fund instead only put in 6.5 million. If we do the math that is 168 million dollars per year paid to Baine & Company to get American Airlines out of paying the workers what they are owed.

Luckily Barack OBama’s appointee to the government ran office that protects employees against Corporations from cheating the workers out of their pensions, and Baine and Company from not clamming onto the pension funds, saw it coming and filed a lien against American Airlines before Baine and Company could drain American Airlines dry. Corporations should be made to fund the pension funds just like we fund Social Security but they don’t.

With the Tea Party and Republicans moving to eliminate Government Departments along with regulations on Corporations while refusing even to let President OBama appoint a head to The consumer’s Agency that protects us against bad drugs and food and toy imports; and the Tea Party Republicans in Ohio,Wisconsin, and Indiana Union Busting, do any of us think that the government department that protects our pension funds will even exist under a Republican Majority?

Getting rid of the worker’s earned benefits and jobs is the kind of experience we are talking about, when we are talking about who Mitt Romney is and what he can relate to and the kind of experience he has. He will never be able to relate to us and our needs unless he is coached, and with the current Republican Congress and mentality, do any of us think they will coach him in doing anything but going back to what they started during the Bush years, when 780,000 workers per month were being laid off?

How much hate does one need to carry, in order to vote for Mitt Romney over Barack OBama? Only those who do carry hate can answer the question.

The Disposable People

The Churches in America have the right to deny people of their choosing the right to worship,marry, get abortions and even to deny insurance coverage when it is their Church,charity, or hospitals.

We often object to their lack of sensibilities, not to mention their lack of empathy and compassion, and intolerance against people of their choosing. Christ clearly showed the Christian Churches that they needed to embrace all people, and all people are the Children of God.

At the time of Christ, people who suffered from leprosy, would be shipped off and held separate from society. They were shunned by everyone because of the fear mongering of the time. Christ went into their colony’s to embrace them to teach all Christians, of his acceptance of all people. The only real power given to the Churches were to forgive the sins of mankind when they asked for forgiveness, and to leave the judging of their behavior to God. We were all granted free will by God after Adam and Eve together made the decision to eat of the apple or pomegranate.

Our common sense alone, if not our religion or spiritual beliefs, should tell us that after the failure of the Garden of Eden, God who is all Omnipotent as well as all Wise, recognized that He could not give mankind free will and then deny them the right to use it when it came to making the decisions in their lives for themselves. No man or woman are ever given the right to deny that which God has granted, except when it comes to failure to obey the laws of a free Democracy.

Mankind is meant to be governed both by their own conscience and then by the law of the land that governs us all and supersedes that of our own conscious or free will. It is the Supreme Court as dictated by the Constitution who has the right to tell all Americans what laws we are to live and abide by, when it comes to those who govern us all.

The bigotry in the Churches, with Churches receiving government subsidies and the Churches controlling both elections and the men who govern, certainly was never established by Christ. He would abhor it, if He would return today.

Their argument is that they can feed the poor cheaper than government, because they have a volunteer staff. The early Christians established feeding the poor long before the government did, and now it would appear that giving alms to the poor needs to be subsidized, in order for the Churches to fulfill that part of their faith.

The simple truth is religion has a right to point out sin to their people who attend their Churches and then it is up to the free will, of both men and women, to choose how they will live their lives, within the boundaries of the law of the land. As Christians and as non-Christians, we have the equal right to choose how we will vote and worship, and pursue the rights of our own conscience through the guidance of our religious or non religious beliefs, while living within the boundaries of the law of the land.

As citizens of a Free Democracy, we have a responsibility to abide by the laws of the land. When we refuse to abide by the laws of the Justice Department we will be punished by the laws of government, accordingly. When we refuse to accept the laws established by government then government has the right to tell us what behavior is acceptable or isn’t. Churches can do the same within their own Churches but cannot over reach the right of government to establish and make laws that protect both the Constitution and its citizenry.

The next time we complain about stupid laws and government interference, it would do us well to understand that stupid laws are as a result of too many conservative judges that also come with conservatives who are elected, many times if not more than or at least equivalent to, liberal judges, even though liberal judges get blamed for the majority of the stupid laws.

There is a large sector of people who will deliberately enter our properties, if we do not make them safe against intruders, and then turn around and sue us because they get injured. Others will fake falls from grapes or water, they deliberately place on the floor or spill, and then sue. Laws are made by government to protect us against thievery,horrendous crimes,excessive greed, the corrupt,mother nature,to protect us at the workplace,protect us from foreign terrorists, and to protect us against our own carelessness.

The rest of the balance of laws come from the fact that people have little to no consideration for their neighbors and as a result laws are made to protect the citizenry against the thoughtless and selfish, who do abuse. If too many people do not protect their neighbors property against damage when they trim or remove their trees, for example, the next thing we know is that no one will be allowed to trim their trees. Stupid,inconsiderate, and thoughtless people, are more times than not, responsible for way more stupid laws, than what government will ever be. Government simply protects the rest of us against them.

The same false information, can be said about Churches, who have lost total sight of where their place in Society, should remain. When we protest against the fact that they have over stepped their boundaries,we hear all kinds of names from liberal leftist, commies,Atheist,Calvinist to heathens, because they have led people to believe that they have a God-given right to advise those who govern.

When elected officials fail to govern according to the Churches views of acceptance and decency, then they find they will not be elected or the conservatives will begin committees to try to find fault in them. As is what happened to Bill Clinton and has happened to Barack OBama. No one is above their scrutiny, unless they agree fully with their views. Elected officials who put Country first, quickly find they are under attack by the conservatives. Sadly the Churches clearly bring their views of bigotry and intolerance into the fray of government.

When Churches over step their boundaries and deny civil marriages which is a State right, or they enrage people against planned Parenthood and demand that government deny birth control and abortions to the poor, they are interfering with the rights of both gay and women, and denying government the ability to govern.

In a sense they do tell gays and women that their lives do not matter and they are disposable, as it is all about their right to govern and we are sitting back and watching entire blocks of people in the right-wing or Evangelicals and Fundamentalism govern in America.

When this same view is brought into the political arena and controls the way politicians govern then religion has over-stepped their and our boundaries, as well. The fact that the Conservatives are governing according to the approval of the Tea Party fundamentalists and Evangelicals and they are an entire block of electors, is a gross over-step of power by religion. The Republicans play to that base in order to win votes and that is what needs to be stopped.

Our sensibilities as Christians, if we truly believe that “All men are created equal, under God,”are highly offended by the way that the poor,women,gays, and minorities are treated as disposable people. With the 1% having voice over those of the middle class we are now finding that the middle class are becoming every bit as disposable as the rest of the people have been for centuries.

Certainly the history of the Churches views, with the exception of the Baptist Churches of the time, held that slavery was a God-given right as the African-Americans were not capable of making decisions for themselves. If we listen to Newt Gingrich today, we realize that too many still have the same, or close to it, bigotry yet today. Women’s lives have been worth less than that of a fetus since the beginning of the Catholic Church,even when it is a child who is forcefully raped. Minorities have always been expected to remain in their place and to speak when spoken to, with the understanding they could have jobs, no one else wanted.

There is zero tolerance for the gay population amongst Christian Churches, to the point that the Republican legislators even refused to acknowledge the threats being made on the gay population,in the name of the Bible, as the hate crimes, they are, in America. The poor have never been heard and have had to starve or be made to lose all rights to their own sense of dignity to feel worthy of charity. The middle class are now the new disposable people.

What is so appalling about all of this is that we the American public have tolerated the views of the Christian Churches, to govern our Country since the beginning of American Independence although our Founding fathers gave the Churches of America no power over government what so ever. It was through amendments, years later, that religion was added to our Constitution. It was spelled out and made clear that Religion was to stay out of the business of government and in exchange for them doing so government would not begin a religion of its own.

Unfortunately, abuse of power by religion, has led the American people to believe that the Atheists of America are threatening the rights of religion to practice when it is the opposite, in that religion through the conservatives, have and are threatening the rights of the politicians to govern and in doing so “We the People” have lost the power granted us in the Constitution, with equality for all.

A Republican President in America, who does not agree to the Churches views on gay, races, and women’s rights or the lack of them,and acceptance or rejection of non-Christians, are not being supported by the Republican Party today. The abuse of power by religion, is the reason and the only reason that every President in America has been chosen either by the Protestant Churches, Catholic Church, or the Evangelicals.

Watching just how pathetic the candidates for election in the Republican Party are this year, and how they are pandering to the Evangelicals should frighten all of us who believe in diversity and therefore Democracy. Knowing that others who do not have the support of the Churches, will never have the backing they need to win, needs to be changed by “We the People”, before we find that we are all disposable and are trained to serve their needs.

It has already gotten there, in too many ways, and we need to stop it by stopping the elected officials, who govern by their Churches beliefs, instead of by what is the best for All Americans as stated in our Constitution. Those who govern need to get back to Country First, and the Churches need to go back to understanding, themselves, that both men and women and all Americans are given the inalienable right to choose the pursuit of happiness regardless of race,creed,gender or color, as long as we obey the law of government that should govern all of us.

If the Churches are doing their job, inside of the doors of their Churches, by teaching their congregations the difference between right and wrong, true love of everyone with the understanding that we are to forgive our enemies but God ,only, has the power to forgive all, acceptance of all people and the equality of everyone, in the eyes of the Lord, then Americans of all beliefs, will make choices of their free will that is either, pleasing or displeasing to God.

This is the right of every American citizen, and is both their God-given and State-given right under God and The Democracy of a Free government. We need to elect Republicans who understand that while eliminating those who pander to the Evangelicals and right-wing of conservative politics. We need politicians who understand that they are to represent the needs of the people and Country First, period.

We begin, first and foremost, by acknowledging that the interference of religion and the intolerance they bring with them, is what is leading to the deterioration of freedom and Democracy for all of us.

When WE take back our own power, given to “We the People” through the Constitution, by eliminating those who refuse to put Country first; and elect officials who are willing to work together, in both the Congress and Senate, to do the job that the majority agree,is what we elect them to do, we will return to the Democracy of the people,by the people, and for the people, regardless of religious belief, gender, race,color, or sexual orientation.

Sadly as things are in the Republican Party today, it is all about the 1%, while the middle class has become as disposable as the poor have always been, with the Republicans trying to lean so far right, they are making a Circus out of Democracy.

Re-elect Barack OBama, who has given a voice to those of us who are not being heard, and re-elect and elect the Democrats that will work with him. If we don’t replace the Republicans who refuse to work for the middle class then we send ourselves to the disposable pile.

America, Energy Efficient?

One of the things that we keep hearing from the Republicans is that OBama and the Democrats are standing in the way of oil and natural gas drilling in America.

They promise more drilling in America, would bring jobs but they never speak about if these jobs will be here long enough for a person to be able to make mortgage payments, move their families in, sit up pensions and reach retirement age while working these jobs.

Today I will clear up those details, as well. We do have enough oil and natural gas along with solar,clean coal, alternative gasoline, and wind to make us energy-efficient as well as independent, as a Nation, but instead those natural gas and oil rights are being bought by American oil Companies and sold to foreign interests.

Republicans like to talk about being energy Independent but vilify being energy-efficient. Do we as a Country benefit when safety guidelines are not followed and ultimately the people suffer as a result? If we simply drilled in the areas that do not interfere with a delicate eco-system or the pristine beauty of the red rocks of Utah or Alaska,(somehow it is almost Un-American to disturb that great beauty with mining or wells once we have seen it and spent time there),but instead relied more on both clean alternative gasoline, coal,natural gas, and solar along with wind energy, we would not need to import from foreign countries. We can be both energy independent as well as energy-efficient if the oil companies quit selling away our own natural resources to foreign interests. Not to mention, fighting against ridding the air of carbon emissions, so we can become energy-efficient as well.

We need to develop further technology to go along with supply and demand and keep our own natural resources in America while developing cleaner and safer alternative means to gain both efficiency as well as independence. Did we not learn anything from the gulf danger and the lack of supervision by British Petroleum about our workers safety?

OBama tried to do so, but Solyndra, that the Republicans have made much about, failed and filed bankruptcy, in the process of doing so. Mistakes have been made as is bound to happen when given a difficult task to perform.

The truth is that America has oil rights in Russia, the Middle East and South America that is sufficient to keep us supplied and cheaper for the oil companies to transfer on barges and ships than what it would cost them to drill in America.Even though we keep hearing about the costs of OPEC driving up prices they have their own oil rights and drill their own wells, in these Countries, so are really not totally dependent on Saudi Arabia as they claim.

The Canadian pipeline, or Keystone that they will not drop, and instead, held up the tax decrease on the middle class over, and claimed would give 20,000 jobs was just another of their lies. They would hire 200 employees, according to the Company itself, while laying the pipeline and it would result in 50 full-time jobs in total.

They do not talk about the trucking or freighter jobs that are lost as a result of laying the pipeline, and these were full time jobs. Where the real money lies is in the refineries that it goes to in Texas to have the crude oil refined and into the pockets of the oil companies. Just as British Petroleum owns the oil wells in the gulf and Americans do not get a break from it at the gas pumps.

Another fine example of what the Republicans like to deny happens with drilling, is what is happening in Youngstown Ohio. Is that energy independence that they like to taut and if so what are the eventual effects that the people who live there are paying for the price of that drilling? Natural gas rights have been sold to China and Japan in the Youngstown, Ohio area.

Although there is enough scientific evidence coming out that the fracking, that is coming out of there, has led to 11 earthquakes, in a State who has never had earthquakes before, the oil companies are still denying that the fracking is leading to it. Remember conservative Republicans do not believe in global warming or Science,either.

The farmers are being paid $5000 an acre, while other farmers are quite upset by it. It has made a boom town out of the area. It has done the same in North Dakota, it is not like drilling isn’t happening in America, under Barack OBama. Drilling has also been opened up in the areas that statistically provide oil and natural gas from Texas, to Wyoming, and Montana.

The problem with boom towns is they attract people to their areas, but when the steel pipes are laid underground and the job finished, then the steel plant will close down, and people will be unemployed again. The businesses and stores in town along with the restaurants, that depend on the trade, goes under when the wells run dry and the oil and natural gas interests move out of their towns. The housing market crashes and they end up, many times, not much different from a ghost town.

These towns before these foreign interest moved into town, built and ran business according to what the market could bear and learned to live around the agriculture or tourist trade of the area. When the wells go dry or are built and the large crews leave, it destroys the boom towns with it, because the people who remain, no longer know how to survive without the money they have learned to rely on.

When the natural gas and oil are depleted by foreign interests, then the people are left with the destruction of their environment, that is left behind, while these oil companies and politicians deny it happens. When all is said and done drilling for natural gas and oil will not make Americans energy sufficient, since it does not remain here.

When they were threatening to add the Canadian pipeline as in Keystone, to if, the middle class, got a tax break or not and claiming everyone wanted it. They must have talked to the three Republican State Senators in the State of Nebraska and called that everybody.

Just the week before or a couple of weeks before that, these same Republicans, who yell for States rights over Federal involvement, failed to tell the American people that OBama had turned those rights over to the State of Nebraska.

Nebraska is a very unique State as its electoral votes, as well as, the entire State are declared winners for the Republicans on election nights, before the polls are closed and the votes are counted. It only went Democrat once in its history, and that was for Lyndon Baines Johnson. It is possible to be a Democrat and reach the age of 80, in the State, and never see a candidate you ever vote for President, win.

I would imagine that the Republicans did believe that the politicians in the State are in favor of the Canadian pipeline. What the rest of the Nebraskan ranchers as well as the citizens who live in the Sandhills of Nebraska know is that the Sandhills of Nebraska was known as “the Great American Desert”, before the pioneers went out and hand sewed grass seeds.

Prairie grasses are the only thing that is keeping it from returning back to being a desert. The grass never comes back under these pipelines and during dry years, that are very common, it takes less than that to start erosion and blow outs. During the dirty thirties the Sandhills returned to a desert,in areas that did not have underground water or artesian wells, and became a total dust bowl.

It has an aquifer with the most underground water of any State in the Nation. There is a corner near a small town of Brownlee where every native grass in America grows. Many Nebraskans are not in favor of the pipeline as they know well, just how touchy this eco-system is. There are still a few that learned it the hard way.

Farther south in the State, it will go through a State Park that is as much a part of the history as the capital itself is. There are a number of reasons that many in the State do not want the pipeline. This is a lot to risk for just 50 permanent jobs that will run from the Canadian border to Texas.

Nebraska has not been as hard hit, as many States with unemployment, and is one of a few that is hiring. Those who want the pipeline, are those who have nothing at stake and are telling the citizens that the Company has a fine reputation for maintaining the pipeline, while others further up North are saying they just get promises but never any action, when it comes to them coming out to correct the land, the pipeline has ruined.

If they drill for oil or natural gas or allow Canada to send their crude oil to the Texas refineries, none of it will make a difference in the American workers or voters pockets,for any length of time that is dependable, nor will it mean less cost in natural gas to heat our homes or in the gas that we put into our tanks, we fill.

When we simply allow foreign interest to buy out the rights then it is the oil refineries and some land owners, that profit. Americans are left with part-time jobs with future lay offs, as is currently happening and is what is causing the middle class to fall into poverty.

They brag about the jobs paying $40.00 an hour, but it is hard to go from that to unemployment in a year or so. If the middle class cannot depend on long-term jobs to pay the mortgage then they have no chance to become home owners or to be established in a community.

Sometimes it also turns into a mess, as is happening in Youngstown Ohio, where the population has experienced 11 earthquakes, in exchange for what will ultimately become lay-offs or part-time jobs, when the foreign interests move out.

I don’t think I am being unfair, at this point, but about anytime that a Republican opens their mouth to defend oil companies,and to talk about jobs, it is a safe bet we are not going to get close to the full picture or I would even speculate, in saying, the truth.

Aren’t We Censored Anyway?

I can see the point that both sides are making on the current debate or protest,depending on which side we are on. Definitely those who earn income off of the work they do in the film or music industry, in my opinion, have a right to be protected against piracy in the foreign markets.

I also understand the concerns of the tech market. Currently movement is being done to rewrite the legislation in Congress but with a 11% approval rating with the current Congress, it is questionable to what extent they will get it right or worsen their attempts to do so. The other option is that there is no easy way to get it right. Anytime there are two arguments one pro and the other con someone is going to think they got the short end of it.

The situation on the net for the rest of us if we tweet,blog, or Facebook, is that we are already censored anyway. Whether it be by the blog owners,the search engines or our peers.

I blog in a couple of areas and anytime I write my feelings or facts on the candidates or the 1% who represent the 40% population, I find those posts just magically disappear from the tags, search engines, or from the inter-net itself. Try to write on pro-choice and the importance that it plays in representing the majority of women in the political arena, and it disappears way below that of pro-life or adoption.

Clearly in my estimation the views of the 1% or 40% to 50% of the population, and their indoctrinated, will always be heard to a greater degree, if we pay to blog or if it is free. The same is true when we tweet a response to cable networks. If they are slanted right or left they will read a greater response level to their cause than they will to those who respond against them. Often times if they are making the effort to appear to be non-committal and representing equal time to all, they will read a response that is negative against them to promote the same appearance. Many times the same people are picked by their responses repetitively, as their views are favored over those who respond fewer times.

Facebook along with the other social sites are notorious for those who control it with obsessive banter and often the people who are on our friend list, that we would really like to communicate with either do not communicate or are drowned out, by those who appoint themselves as the spokes people for the political or entertainment views that are meant to be maintained.

Some times if we are willing to play the games available, the sites will update the results as free advertisement for the same. Once we get ignored enough by those who control the flow of the banter, we simply find it is much like those who formed the cliques in the office or highschool. We all get censored to a greater of lesser degree by our peers, no differently from what we do on the playground or in the work place.

I think we can all agree that censorship in the print area and what ever will appear on the editorial pages of all newspapers,or weekly or monthly magazines, will be represented by the views of the owners no differently from that of television or radio networks or cable. Murdoch,The Christian Broadcasting Network, and Corporate, owns a major control of the flow of that market.

Many of us find that we are even censored as to what we can say or do according to what is acceptable in our own work places,communities, and sometimes in our own families, when they gather. Others have a tendency to promote that which we all agree needs to be dealt with and the minute they find a spokes person who has the courage to speak out, they will desert them and deny that they ever promoted the idea. As a result adults who do have the courage or can make a difference end up being censored the harshest in their work place,communities or families. Ultimately it does and will lead to the 1% coming out ahead because of the censorship that follows when those, who would and could, make a difference are silenced.

With the current censorship debate or protest going on, it is more of a concern of the owners or those who control the flow of the internet and or the flow of profits from Hollywood, in my estimation, and the more we jump from one side to the other, the only way any of us, who do not stand to lose financially, will ever be heard, is in numbers.

For that reason requests have gone out from both sides and just like the 1% rely on the workers to run their businesses, they are now trying to get the “regular joes” to join their side in the numbers game, by telling us all these things about how our freedom will be lost without realizing that we have never had nor will we ever have the freedom to exercise censorship to the degree that they have always enjoyed.

Ultimately the decision between Tech and Hollywood will either reach an agreeable decision between who has the best lobbyist in Congress and the Congressmen, who are to gain either in prestige or financially, the most, by passing legislation accordingly. If it will help their re-election use to play a much larger role than it does with the current Congress.

In the meantime all of us, will be led to believe that we played a role with all of our signatures or protests. If this sounds overly cynical it is because the common person or the middle class and the poor, are being used as pons in what has become financial concerns of the 1%, who are ignoring the 99%, unless they need our support in numbers or workers, but think by feeding us a few crumbs for their sake or needs, we will all be happy little campers, who do not see through the layers of truth or the lack of the same, as represented to us in support of their views. It often sounds cynical because the reality is. “it is what it is.”

It Is The Middle Class, Stupid!

By now, I am guessing anyone who will vote in America is tired of the news coverage on politics and eager instead to hear what the Republican Party really is willing to offer what use to be the middle class.

When the Republicans aren’t attacking each other they seem to scream interference with free enterprise and taking regulations off of corporations and drilling for oil and natural gas.

They like to pretend that fiscal capitalism is the same as straight capitalism where people are actually given jobs, that will last longer than a couple of years. Instead they operate from corporate welfare, where they move in and get all the government subsidies along with free land and warehouses they can to set up jobs and the minute they get all the public funding they can, they are gone. This is what contributed to Mitt Romneys 190 million dollars and gave him a 9.3 million dollar beach house, while the middle class paid for it and got laid off in the process.

Do not blame Mitt Romney alone folks, as this practice has gone on for years. Paper capitalism does not offer jobs and the Republicans along with Wall Street and the banks have become experts at it. Donald Trump and his bankers could put most to shame with paper capitalism. It is not something that Newt Gingrich is a stranger to either. Nor were the Democrats, Barnie Frank or Chris Dodd, in their dealings with Freddie Mack and Annie Mae.

Other than Barack OBama and the Democrats,who it is our business to know who they are in our own State Senate race by checking their voting records, who are fighting for the middle class, we the voters need to ask ourselves if there are any Republicans even aware that the middle class is impoverished? If we are going to allow hate,ignorance,or lies to influence our vote, then we are no different from what they are, if we wake up and find that nothing has changed. I repeat:”If we are not a part of the solution, then we are a part of the problem.”

Do the Republicans know and understand that it is the middle class who are living on food stamps? Will they ever address the reasons why they continue to fight against extending the middle class tax cuts for a year while they the tea party sponsored members fight on farm dust? Will they explain that they will fight until”hell freezes over” to not remove the Bush tax cuts on the 1% or the 40% of the population, who are not paying their fair share in order to balance the budget, but at the same time demand that tax cuts for the middle class has to be paid for?

Will they explain why they can not raise the tax cuts on those paying nothing in taxes, like Mitt Romney, so they can pay for Obama’s jobs bill for the middle class, instead of dismissing it and agreeing instead their only goal, as spoken by Mitch McConnell (minority house leader) is to defeat Obama, by just saying”NO”? Thats right, folks, even though Mitt Romney has blamed the OBama Administration and his Department, and gets a good laugh about there being dust in the Desert, it was the Tea Party freshmen in Dec. who were elected in 2010, in their own party, who held up extending the tax cuts to the middle class in Dec over farm dust. I wrote a post on it when it was happening in December.

OBama or the Democrats had nothing to do with it, but instead it was just another of Mitt’s lies. Every time he opens his own mouth, he gives Democrats more to use against him so don’t be too hard on Newt for pointing out his lies, as there are vaults full to use without Newt’s help.

I don’t disagree with the fact that Newt is angry and getting back at Mitt,even though Newt’s lies are just as large as Mitt’s, but so much of what is being written for Mitt is nothing but lies. He attacks the idea that people are fighting against free enterprise but apparently he is so isolated or his writers are, that he has no idea of what is even happening in America.

It is not that anyone is against free enterprise that hires workers at fair wages, but instead that Capitalism has either laid off the workers or is not hiring them. All of us who are not involved in our own self-righteous endeavors, need to tell all of the say “NO” Republicans and those running that,”It is about the middle class in poverty, Stupid!”

The candidates all running are no different from those in Congress. They are all exposing the truth about each other, and their nastiness is no different from what the current Republicans in the Congress are doing. None of them can get along with each other there either, or anyone for that matter,but that doesn’t stop them from blaming OBama for being a poor leader that cannot lead the bunch. Hell they can’t even lead their own Party. What more is it going to take before the middle class votes them out?

It appears that the entire Republican Party and those who support them have missed out on the facts of what is important to all other voters and that is, it is not the African-Americans in the inter-cities who are increasing food stamps, it is the previous owners of the Moms and Pops, the families who owned construction companies, previous owners of trucking companies, family owned stores and shops, middle class workers, who are on food stamps, and what the Republicans plan on doing about it, that we care about.

None of them are addressing the fact that the middle class Americans are on food stamps and in poverty, or that they have lost their homes, and in some cases their cars, and if they still have their cars they are not able to afford the gas to drive them. When they do address it they blame OBama for the fact that he won’t allow drilling or raise restrictions on corporations.

Give us a break! The gas prices are up because of what happened in the gulf and the costs that BP had to pay for their failure to better supervise their wells. While they give the appearance of paying millions for the accident, we,the American people are paying for it in our gas tanks. Also what is going on in Iran is raising it. None of us are so stupid that we do not know that when vacation time comes around every year even during Republican administrations, gas prices always go up and it is not OBama’s fault as much as the protection they get from the Republican Party that allows it to happen. We all know how the Republicans fight anyone who would change it. That does not stop Mitt Romney in his arrogance, from blaming OBama.

Instead of dealing with the middle class impoverishment, the Republicans are talking about the Democrats and OBama restricting drilling, forcing regulations on corporations and interfering with free enterprise. We all get it. Republicans represent Capitalism. No one is interfering with it but we all understand that when the banks were allowed to get too big and they failed, and when all the regulations were lifted slowly beginning in 1993 on the corporations and then more aggressively during the Bush years, due to their run away greed, we ended up in the mess we are in. None of us need or want to go back to that, do the Republicans even understand that?

America and Americans cannot go back to that ever again, and certainly not when the middle class Americans are fighting poverty while your Tea Party members in the States and Washington are holding up the middle class tax breaks along with shutting down Unions,with the Republican Party support.

Certainly you must know that the middle class is aware of the facts that both government and unions protect the middle class jobs from free enterprise’s greed when they refuse to pay a living wage for a good days work, in the States. We know instead that capitalism is doing very well on Wall Street and stock piling money into the trillions while they shut down jobs in America, and build in China and India, where they can offer slave labor wages,instead.

When you, the Republicans, refuse to listen to the dire needs of the middle class here in America, and instead continue fighting for what got us in this mess in the first place, you will have to learn on election day.” that frankly my dears, we do not give a damn about your issues, when you can care less about what you are doing to the impoverishment of the middle class.”

America Without Government

As the Republicans,Tea Party, and right-wing conservatives and many of their followers are recommending eliminating government or bankrupting it entirely lets take a view of what life without government would entail;

For those who advocate eliminating the Post Office entirely and turning it over to free enterprise, rest assured that just as health care escalated when the County Hospitals were eliminated and bought out by private interests and made the Indiana Frist families Billionaires,(for those who do not remember; the younger Frist was elected, by the right-wing Conservatives, to the Senate in 1994 at the time they were buying out the hospitals across America) so would the cost escalate to both private citizens as well as small businesses whose business does rely on the mail if the Post offices were eliminated. I just spent $15.00 to mail a 3 pound pkg. to my daughter by UPS by the time I paid postage and handling. This same pkg. would have cost me $2.38 and arrived a day earlier if I had shipped it through the Post Office. I used UPS as I wanted to be able to make certain it arrived the day my daughter works at home. Both would have been and was shipped regular mail.

Without government there would not be any hot lunches for school children, Veteran hospitals, or State own mental Institutions that are reasonably priced because of food subsidies provided by government,The schools,hospitals and institutions themselves would risk being shut down or closed in many areas where they may be considered too cost prohibitive, there would be no Food or Drug Agencies making sure that the food we imported or produced locally, was safe, or drug companies were not putting unsafe drugs on the market. The cost of both would sky-rocket even further without any government controls over them. Only the wealthy could afford birth control as was true before the middle class was established.

No one would oversee air safety,traffic control,piracy, Nuclear plants,mines, drilling, pipelines,factories or any facilities that would lead to the destruction of both our environment and then humanity. There would be no crime labs to check on the guilt or innocence of our citizenry to make certain even more innocent people would not be rounded up and corralled as guilty or the guilty went free with the right lawyer since all labs would be private and only available to the wealthy, due to the high cost to the middle class and poor. There would not be any one to oversee the weapons on the street and we would return to a lawless society. There would be no FBI to look for and to try to find our lost children, no CIA to protect us against terrorism. No one to guarantee our right of freedom of speech,free assembly or our right to protest injustice. There would be no free press.

All workers unions would be eliminated as is going on presently with the Republicans and the Tea Party. The song “Big John” that went like the following was not just a song but the reality of life before unions and the establishment of the middle class:”I loaded 16 ton and what did I get? Another day older and deeper in debt.” I owe my soul to the Company store.” They could only buy from the stores owned by the wealthy who charged exorbitant prices and made it impossible for them to ever get out of debt to the employer. There was no minimum wage,benefits or pensions rest assured 401K’s would not exist. It was reality folks and would be again without government and Unions.

There would be no Feds to make certain banks were not lending money at such high costs as to be usury. There would be no Pell grants for the children who would be tomorrow leaders to be able to afford The best of Colleges. There would be no protection for children and women against abusers and batters. Only those who could afford to would be able to prevent having their homes burn to the ground as firemen would be volunteer or paid for by free enterprise. Only the wealthy would have protection against crime. People would be killing each other at even greater numbers as they drove drunk or texted. Infancy death rates would escalate even higher as only the wealthy could pay for premature birth care.

I could continue this all day and not come up with all the ways that both the poor and middle class would go unprotected and our well-being jeopardized much worse without government than what it is with it, but instead I challenge you to ask yourself,”why it is that the Republicans who do protect the 1% are trying so hard to eliminate government entirely even if it means bankrupting it with a flat tax of 15% across the board that would add another trillion dollars to the deficit at the same time they are adding Keystone Pipeline rights to the payroll tax cut and screaming that we need to pay for it?” Why did the Republicans add another 6 to 7 trillion dollars to the deficit while they had control and did not balance the budget once while they had control but now that we are in a situation where unemployment is high and Corporations are raping the workers they now insist that the money that would help the middle class be paid for?

Really think about it and use both your intelligence and common sense:what kind of future do you,your children,your parents, and your grand parents really have without government? When we eliminate government we eliminate,”We the People.”I believe that whether we voters are Democrat,Independent,or Republican, we can all agree that if we elect anymore Republicans, right-wing conservatives, or Tea Party candidates or keep the current ones who are in the Senate, that the Senate and President elect will return to business as usual during the Bush years to finish what they started, if we really look at the facts.

Re-elect the Democrats, who did not crawl in bed with the Republicans, and Barack OBama along with those who have worked tirelessly for Democracy and the middle class majority in 2012. Even a Tea Party, Conservative and Republican, when given a mandate and made to fear losing their election in 2014, will start co-operating with “We the People” and the man we elected to the Presidency, if we give them a strong idea of just what we think of them in 2012.

They will only quit saying”NO”if we show them how fed up we really are with our vote,despite their pure hatred for Barack OBama because he put restrictions back on Wall Street and stopped what the Republicans had pushed aggressively under the Bush Administration: (See”Who Are The 1%?”, written earlier by me.) They also hate him because he refuses to give in to the wealthy at an expense to the middle class but if he doesn’t give them at least a part of what they want then he gains nothing for the poor and middle class, at all. It is time to throw all the bums out. Do not believe the press who would have us believe that the Democrats are no different from the Republicans because the Democrats have been fighting for the unemployed as well as the employed poor and middle class;In other words for us.

Don’t be one of the idiots who blame OBama for the war in Iraq but instead the man who brought the troops home over open objection from Cheney and McCain and the man smart enough to marry the woman who has worked tirelessly for the families of our wounded and displaced war heroes.It was OBama who fulfilled the promise to the American people and brought down Osama Ben Ladin as well. In Response To Tony Perkins

For those of you who do not know who Tony Perkins is, he is speaking out in defense of the 1% and as an SELF-APPOINTED expert against the Occupy movement. He expounds his form of theology and the Bible and claims we are all born with equal chances and have the same chance of making wealth as everyone else and that Jesus loved the marketer and quotes from one parable of the Bible. I do not doubt and question that Christ does love everyone including the poor and the middle class as well.

Tony was on CNN this morning quoting what I feel is the problem that is endangering our economy as well as our Democracy and strikes me as a pathetic grasp to justify the greed taking place in America through the Republican Party and equally misguided, in my opinion, statements. I do not deny him his right to voice his opinion or CNN the right to air it, as after all we are still a Democracy and one of the greatest in the World.

I would like to tell Tony that everyone is not born with the same opportunities as others and that too is in the Bible. The man who is given much and buries it in the sand as versus the one given little and makes it grow is a parable that Tony has twisted to serve his own purposes.

Tell the parents of children who are born pre-mature, with cerebral palsy,serious autism, with incurable heart disease, or cancer or their brain missing, that we are all born with equal opportunity. Tell those who are not Christian in America, Tell the Black, Hispanic,Arabs,Indians, etc., people who are born Gay that they are not denied the same rights and have an equal chance as the white heterosexual Christian male in America, and try to say it with a straight face and denial of the lie. Tell those who have to combat high medical costs when they have a sick child or becomes sick themselves or injured in an accident, and lose all they gained, that we are all given the same chance and therefore Jesus loves the marketer over the person that needs to ask for help of those who have gained their wealth on the backs of the middle class and the poor. We will never agree but my experience after knowing many of these families is that the great majority of all of these people will put the marketer to shame in the eyes of Jesus.

The problem with many of the Evangelical and Fundamentalist Churches in America is they have sprung up over night, in many cases, and been ordained a Church by charismatic people who do not know Theology, nor ever will study Theology, but instead have read the Bible to justify their own stand in life. Some of their ministers received their ministry from an outfit that sales ministry degrees out of their back doors or on the internet for a fee. In too many ways we Americans have lost sense of our own ability to think for ourselves and as a result of it, we have been betrayed and taken advantage of.

Just like Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, they can twist everything around, to justify their stand and too many of these Churches are doing this to people who attend because they are sincere and do want to know and find God and Jesus. We see it in the Baptists and other established religions as well. There are renegade ministers and priests in the established Churches,who are teaching hate and greed to their congregations. They have brought an unequal burden onto the backs of those who are not given an equal chance and instead they are using the Bible against those who Christ made clear we all have a moral obligation to help and to defend.

For those who would deny this, then I suggest while reading your Bible you remember the parable where the business men showed up to hawk their wares in the street of the parade held yearly for the poor and Christ threw them all out of the Temple because they were taking advantage of the poor. These were not all widows as Tony claims the marketers are supposed to give to. They were the poor workers and of all persuasions.

When the widow Lady gave a penny and the wealthy scoffed at her Christ scolded the crowd and pointed out she gave much more than they had,as she had far less to give. The most important parable in the Bible that gets overlooked by the greedy is the one that says,”It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to gain Heaven.”

Despite this attitude in America throughout these Churches including the Mormon Religion that teaches.” God or Christ smiles on the wealthy”, this is not close to the general consensus of what Christ taught. Christianity that is committed to the concept of Christ does teach.”That to those who have been given much, much is expected of them.” This especially includes the marketers who have gained their wealth on the backs of their workers.

To justify this by giving voice and protection to the 1% is exactly what Christ preached against. Sorry Tony, but you are only feeding your and the selfish and greedy attitudes that have arisen and entered into the Republican Party today. We the voters need to help these Republicans to see the light by laying these elected hypocrites off from their jobs in 2012.

Every economist whoever studied the economy are all in agreement that the better the poor and middle class do in an economy the better the economy and shared responsibility is for everyone, including the wealthy. When the marketer plays fair we all enjoy a healthy economy.

The more we embrace diversity the stronger is our Democracy, as well. Yes folks, I am one of those educated liberals who embraces Christianity and the beliefs of those found all over in the Blue States, even though you have been warned against us. Actually I am more of a moderate but if we are Democrat then we are all lumped together and called liberal by them. You will hear that people like myself are not Christian but instead; Socialist,Calvinist,Agnostic,Atheist,Communists and/or even obstructionists. There is no end to the labels that so-called Christians can and will apply to people like myself, because for anyone who may accept that I am indeed a Christian, then I could be a danger or taken seriously if I was ever to challenge their bigotry and/or teachings.

That Rick Perry would have you all believe that we are all Godless and trying to take Christ out of Christmas, I can only say he wasted his money on the ad in Iowa, while he spewed his own brand of bigotry and hate. A little humor aside, did you notice he had on the identical coat worn by the actor who played the gay cowboy in the movie while he disparaged gays and that the GOP are not celebrating a Christmas Party but instead a Holiday Party tonight?? I beg to differ with those who would believe that crap about educated Liberals or people who vote in the Blue States and question instead, just how many real Christians are there in the Red States?

Just as the patriotic do not have to display their patriotism by wearing a flag pin, those who live their Faith, do not need to display or advertise their Faith. If we truly believe in and live our Faith, the pleasure or displeasure, we bring to God and Jesus, should remain private with Them. Charity broadcast is not charity but ego. Action talks–Bulls**t walks. Help me to help the Republican Party by getting rid of the Tea Party, the hypocrites and those who protect the 1% and not electing more in 2012. The proud old GOP needs to return to the real values of the people, by the people, and for the people.

The Risk Within

I have written many posts, at this point, on taking responsibility. My intention is to express to all, what we often find as fault or blame in others, can actually be as a result of a short coming, within ourselves.

I do not blame the victims or believe that anyone who is being mistreated should ever feel it is their fault. I simply want people to question,themselves, why they do tolerate such behavior and to find what changes they can make,to improve their own lives. Too often we never do ask ourselves what it is we can do or need to do, to improve our own lives. It is always easier to blame others than it is to look for or find solutions for ourselves.

As difficult as it is to accept,for some, the truth is that too many times we do become no different from robots, who go about our daily lives never questioning those who are controlling us or ourselves, if we have a strong urgency to control others, who do fine, without our need to control. We can become apathetic,indifferent,a bully, or too complacent or trusting with the people and power of the World that goes on around us, just as we can with ourselves.

If we simply follow routine, that we have slipped into and take programming from others in our lives, we can often wake up to discover, when the relationship ends, that we have taken too many people in our lives for granted or accepted too poor of a treatment,for ourselves.

As long as we insist that we do not care for politics or feel a need to vote, because we incorrectly think both parties are just alike,or we give our vote to another, without thought, we can often end up to discover the party that protects oil companies and big business is the same that allows Democracy to erode. We must always remember, for instance, that oil companies will and do control the politics of States where oil is King, such as Wyoming,Oklahoma and Texas.No different than what tourism is to Disneyland or Disney World.

If our daily life, ends up with our free time being limited by other’s recommendations or dedicated to the inter-net, some television and radio broadcasts that are not concerned with the truth or the news, but instead report slanted views, and we believe the lies that are often spread through the social media and paid ads, we can too often, end up believing lies over truth, not to mention, without having an original thought of our own.

Without educating ourselves, to the reality and truth over perceptions, the knowledge of which party or candidate will do the best job for us and the middle class,will be lost in ignorance or lies, when we do go to the polls and vote. When this happens it is sometimes ourselves, who are the most ill-equipped to vote,not to mention the most dangerous to Democracy.

It is easy to get caught up in our day-to-day habits and routine, to the point that we become lost to ourselves or perform as robots,never questioning the reality of what we are doing or hearing. The longer we do it the more accepting we become of things that do not make sense, when questioned.

It is not something that we are always aware of, in fact most of us do not even have a clue, until we do have trauma take place in our lives, and it forces us into acknowledging what we have accepted as truth, without questioning, a great deal of the time was merely perception, and does not even come close to being the truth.A for instance of that is, we commonly think modern medicine can cure anything until we get seriously ill, and the great majority of us are surprised at how little medicine does know about cause much less cure. Too many times, our own survival will depend on us being more honest and realistic, when dealing with our own lives.

We cannot blame those who we turned over control of our lives to, simply because we were taking comfort in our own lifestyle or stressing over what had very little real significance,in comparison to where our priorities needed to be, in our own lives, much less in the Democracy of America. We need to remain alert to both past and present history, both in ourselves and our own behavior, as well as in the world, that goes on around us.

I doubt, many of us would or could argue, that if we showed as little interests in our jobs or our families, who we have been Blessed with to guide, as we do in the maintenance of Democracy, we would not be at our current job or a reputable member of our family, for long.

Just as we need to stay on our toes, when it comes to the needs of our friends and family, we also need to be aware of how our own behavior affects those we profess to love, as well as, what happens in the World around us. When we fail to keep up with ourselves and our own needs and behavior, we often fail to keep up with the needs of those around us, as well.

We need to be comfortable in the knowledge, we gain, that our own vote just as our own behavior, can and will safeguard the equality as well as the quality of life for all of us, who do embrace freedom. If we fail to appreciate that those we love the most, ourselves included, can be a statistic tomorrow, we often risk the fact that we will deny our own freedom, when others start talking about changing the Constitution to deny others their rights.

It is too easy to think that as long as we are not complaining then those that we love do not have complaints either. If we are busy shopping and hiding the receipts from our spouses, we fail to realize the short high, that we receive, is often the long misery that they receive, when it comes to balancing the budget.

When we constantly sacrifice while our spouse spends or does nothing but argue with us or dismiss our efforts, we are not so content either.Just as we cannot continue to elect politicians who refuse to do anything for the American people, because the other Party may win. We can too many times go back to the fox guarding the hen-house when we refuse to educate ourselves, both in the future needs of our families as well as our Country.

When we all develop the attitude that we, each, are much more than a robot and the risk of both our family as well as American’s Democracy rests on the shoulders of individuals, we will prove we are all reliable to the rest of the World.We owe all those, who look to us for freedom, the responsibility of maintaining Democracy, by putting as much effort into, “Freedom for All”, as we do into our own families.

It needs to be both our goal as well as our priority to know the differences between each candidate and party,including the Tea Party, before we vote. Democracy as well as the survival of our government,of “We the People,” in America and around the World, depends on it.

We Find Our Own Happiness

This post is going to relate to my own interpretation of joy and happiness as I have experienced it, as most of my posts do.I’m sure many an expert will disagree with points that I make, but in the end, I have come to appreciate that none of us can base our own lives on what someone else thinks, but instead on what we know to be true.

I have never felt the need to discriminate against anyone, once I matured into an adult.As a result,I have been befriended by both the wealthy and the poor, as well as,different belief systems, genders and races, and I find what is true with one of us, is true about all of us.

We are all looking for happiness and contentment, in life. Many of us who have children will put their happiness first, until it does dawn on us that the things we buy for ourselves or our children, have a very short shelf life.

If we do not change our direction in thinking, “buying makes us happy,” too many times, we will resent our own children or others, that we buy for,because they lack appreciation. Even when we know that the problem is our own spending habits and we are going broke,doing so, some of us will need to learn. “We don’t always get our cake and eat it too.”.We need to understand that people who wish to do for themselves,will resent our continuous need to make ourselves feel better,at their expense, because many times in our need to buy, we only make them feel obligated to us.

It is the things that we do as well as the words we use to express our feelings towards others that, often times, brings happiness to both of us. Just a smile to a stranger, can many times turn the direction of both of our days. When we choose to smile back we share our own happiness with them.

I had been spending a great deal of my time with a wealthy person in my youth, so when the person who showed up in my life, neither had her front teeth and the sole on her shoe, was loose, the first thing that was most obvious to me, was how happy she was living such an uncomplicated life.

After having listened to the wealthy complain about having to attend another, “black tie,” function, that she was dreading attending, but worried she would be shunned if she did not, it was such a breath of fresh air to spend time with the woman, who had raised her family, and did not have a care in the world. She was retired living primarily on her social security check, but since she enjoyed good health and neither wanted or needed much, her life was her own. She was content and settled with her poverty and peace of mind.

In my estimation, all human beings are made up of the body the mind and the soul, or if you prefer,our mental,physical and spiritual well-being. When we over-balance attention to another and neglect the other, we feel restless or discontent with ourselves. If we tune into our own feelings, we will not turn the negatives that we feel within ourselves onto others.

People who have learned to express themselves through crafts,art, or creative talent can bring peace to their mental well-being but if we never deal with the problem that drives us to be unhappy, we only delay the root of the problem.We need to get to the bottom of what it is that truly is upsetting us, since we need to give equal attention to the balance of our physical,spiritual and mental parts. In short we place a band-aid on an arterial bleed that needs to be sewn shut, if we only live for the minute or the short time, without healing our own pain or looking for happiness that we can trust.

As I have mentioned in past posts, too often, the victims will feel guilt or the victimizers will pass blame.When we have been traumatized, we need to talk about it and heal it, with those who can help us. If we neither confront the truth and heal it, we deny ourselves happiness.No one can make us happy if we are ready to accept being miserable nor can we be happy unless we are happy with ourselves.

Plenty of people can interfere with our own happiness, if we allow them to, but no one but ourselves,can make us happy.No one is responsible for our seeking happiness and unless we do, we will too many times blame others, when we are not happy. Once we do establish happiness with ourselves then people in our lives can either add to or subtract from it, because we have let their emotions or upsets affect how we view or accept life.

Happiness is more than just an attitude. It is what comes from inside of us so that we live and breathe it, while sharing it with others. If we find it is impossible to maintain our own happiness,without using alcohol,drugs,out working everyone else in an effort to avoid our home, or buying things, then we do need to evaluate the reasons why, we are not making the changes that will and do lead to our own happiness.

Sometimes it can be the negative crowd or group, we hang with. We do, too many times, become like the people we surround ourselves with. Sometimes it is because we do not feel good, and we cannot feel that any of us are going to feel good, when we feel physically,mentally, or spiritually, rotten.

When we know that we are a worse person with others, because we lower our own mental and spiritual well-being,in an effort to be included or fit in, we are not going to be happy, unless we do make the changes that will lead to becoming the person we wish to be.

When we over-look the truth and surround ourselves in denial, then we also are not being realistic about our own happiness. Perhaps we are the leader of the bunch, when it comes to a joyless group. We won’t know unless we try to change the direction within the group,first.

Many times, we will find it is our own lack of happiness that is spreading over all of the group. When we laugh because we are happy, they many times will laugh with us. However if they are laughing at us, then we can be certain, that we are not the leader.

The mean-spirited will always believe those who are hurt or get hurt as a result of their words or actions, are just too sensitive, so why do we stay? Happiness is a habit that is very real and is part of who we are. We find it within ourselves. We do not shove it onto others. We do not use it to judge others. We wake up with it and take it to bed with us. It lives within us when we are happy being the person we are.

We find happiness in children, who live in the present, because they can trust Mom and Dad to take care of everything. Happiness brings us back to the present, because we don’t have to worry about what we are going to do, as we already know our strengths and weaknesses.

We know or are reasonably certain, that we will react or respond according to a good day or a poor day, and as a result of how we are feeling about, ourselves. We know it all may change tomorrow but when or if it does, we can trust ourselves just like we always have before, because a Power higher than us has the last word. Happiness is truly all about feeling good about who we are and trusting our motives, as well as our love, without finding fault and blame in others.

Everyone else in our life are the extras who bring us joy or sometimes disappointment, if we incorrectly assume anything about them or try to control them. We have learned that not all relationships are meant to last. We don’t worry so much who will be there for us because we have provided, as well as, possible for our own needs.

We miss you but understand our differences were too great to over come, for one of us if not both of us, or we understand that our lives were intended to take a different path or the Dear Lord was ready for you. We have grieved and healed from the lost, and understand that we only get to live this life once so we put in the hard work to live happy!It begins with one step at a time, towards changing ourselves.
