Do They Ever Tell The Truth?

I would like to point out that during an election year no one will hear the word hate leave the mouth of a right-wing Conservative or a Tea Party member. It is after the election that the vile remarks will begin again in the public square, if President OBama is re-elected.

With 420 Conservative spokes-people from Rush Limbaugh to Sean Hannity to Fox News reporters Sarah Palin,John Stossel, and Bill O’Reilly, before we even get into the lies of the Republican Party, we will not hear the word hate unless it is used to describe how the liberals feel, by them.

They will play nice and instead lie like a pirate everytime they open their mouths in regard to the Democrats who are all left wing liberals,socialists,commies,or leftists in their vocabulary, what they call the liberal media (anyone who calls them out on their lies),and when it comes to their kind in the Republican Party and the truth about the protection they give to the 1%.

Their latest hate program seems to be the Chevy Colt that they claim catches on fire and is so cheap none of them would be caught dead in it because if they were ever in it, according to them, they would be dead due to the fact so many Colts have caught on fire. They claim that President OBama pumped so much of American tax dollars into it and it is just a pile of junk. It is exhausting to try to straighten out Mitt Romney’s lies but to tackle 420 Conservative broadcasts and print networks without the 100′s of thousands of lies spread on Twitter,Facebook,and other social networks, it is impossible to tackle them all, so I will stay with this lie for now.

When the American Automobile Industry was going broke it was George W. Bush with the Democrat majority in Congress who were the ones that made the decision to bail out the Automobile Industry. Men like Mitt Romney and other Republicans said,”let it declare bankruptsy,” because they built cheap cars anyway.

This inflamed the man who was running General Motors so much at the time, even though he is a Conservative,he decided to prove that any American automobile was as good as any European or German car, any day. He built the Chevorlet Colt and its proto-type came out in 2007 just in time for the annual auto show. This happened 18 months before President OBama took office. I repeat the prototype was already sitting on the floor, at the annual car show, in 2007.

Barack OBama did not take office until January of 2009. By the end of that year and prior to 2010 the Tea Party along with the Conservatives had already spread enough lies about President OBama, who had not even been in office for a year, that the majority of “We the People” elected a Republican majority both in our States and the Congress to replace the Democrats that President OBama hadn’t even gotten started working with, much less were to blame for the deficit increase. Anyone who doubts that their campaign, then and now, is based on anything other than lies and hate better re-assess their own judgement.

The truth is that the Chevy Colt was elected as the best car in its field both in Europe and in America in 2011. 33,000 Chevy Colts a month are being sold and coming off the assembly lines. President Obama has helped fund the auto industry in it’s pursuit of low emissions since and has been a strong supporter in his belief that they could make it work, and as a result General Motors is now the number one auto industry in the World.

It saved the jobs of a million plus employees in the automobile industry and helped increase manufacturing jobs by 34% in the last two years alone. When the government did a very comprehensive crash test on the Colt, one car and one car only caught on fire 3 weeks later. If that is not enough time to leave a car crash then clearly none of us would be alive to do so following any kind of crash in any kind of vehicle. There is absolutely no proof what-so-ever that the Chevy Colt is unsafe.

The Chevy Colt is so green safe and technological fit that it is leap years ahead of its competion anywhere in the world. It is the model that all other automobile industries are following World Wide. The fact that it runs on both lithium batteries, as well as the fact that it has a gas tank that will kick in for another 300 miles, it is able to get 250 miles per gallon on a tank of gas. Everything that Bill O’Reilly and team has said against it on Fox News is a lie, everything that Sean Hannity has said about it is a lie, everything that anyone who has repeated what they have said is a lie.

That is how badly both the Tea Party and Conservative media, along with their polticians are in bed with the oil companies of America. Any car that gets 250 miles on a gallon of gas threatens to make America energy efficient and lessens the need for dependency on oil. If I may borrow a few words, “Now You have the Rest of the story.”

Anyone left who still believes that either the Right-Wing Conservatives or the Tea Party have the best interests of “We the People” at heart over their own interests and campaigns are simply lighting up too many “funny sticks”, or have lost all touch with reality, in my estimation. Vote the Republicans all out in November.

State Of The Union Address

It was really inspiring for me to watch the State of the Union Address and hear President OBama, verbalize exactly what it is that the Americans expect of their politicians, and to offer hope to Americans who have suffered long enough.

After one Debate after the next debate of the Republican candidates doing nothing but bashing each other and then going on the attack on everything President OBama said and calling it lies, I realized to what a degree that the negatives and lies in the Republican Party can lead to and are adding to their own destruction in America. I would just like to add, however, that before Mitch McDaniel, gives a rebuttal and accuses OBama of lying and uses Apple as an example over the truth of the auto industry, it would be good that he does not hold up a company like Apple as a prime example of success.

Since they only hire 43,000 people in America and the other 700,000 are hired outside of America,its probably not such a good idea to use them as a prime example of Republican support.

The auto industry on the other hand that President OBama did work with and helped save, hired 1.4 million jobs that were saved, as well as, added another 170,000 jobs in America. The Republicans never check their facts but instead accuse Barack OBama of lies even though Barack OBama’s information always checks out and theirs’ rarely does, unless they are talking against each other. I think it is the lies, more than anything, that can and is wearing us all down.

Apparently my feelings match the majority view held in America,as early as 2011 as the CBS poll that was conducted the day after his State of the Union then, showed an extra-ordinary number of Americans polled, 91% to be exact, felt that what Barack OBama talked about was what the American people approved of, Only 9% disapproved.

With President OBama, being much more forceful, and the private sector having more months of improvements with increase in job employment taking place, in our economy this year, and after the fiasco of December with the Republicans fighting amongst themselves about lowering the taxes on the middle class, his enthusiam to Unite Americans in fairness, I thought, was even more persuasive. Even more Billionaires, including Bill Gates, came forward and said they too think it is not right that the working poor and middle class pay more than they do, and they want the tax laws changed as well.

The wealthy who are paying less, like Warren Buffet, even said “that the idea of warfare by the middle class and working poor is ridiculous.” He went on to say,” if this is a war dividing us then it is not the workers doing it because it is the wealthy who have the nuclear weapon on their side with all the lobbyists and the lawyers while the middle class and working poor have nothing to defend their side against us.” The envy that Mitt talks about, only exist in the minds of those who refuse to pay their fair share.

While this was going on Mitt Romney, who previously said that Corporations are people, stood in front of a foreclosed house and said, “that Bankers are not bad guys they are just over whelmed”, after telling the people the real problem is the 99% just envied the 1%. This is in a State with high unemployment and the third largest State in the United States when it comes to homes that are being foreclosed on.

At the same time it is being reported that Newt Gingrich is on the Christian broadcasting Network saying,”He is not Normal.” Then in rebuttal he turns around and says,”He is more normal that a man like Mitt who acts so perfect and has only had one wife because he has had affairs, divorces, and married three times.”

This is not the kind of stuff that the Liberal media, that Newt curses, can make up. Even late night comedy cannot come up with the things that are coming out of the mouths of the two main Republican candidates left running.

Even those of us who would never vote for them in 100 years cannot help but feel sorry for them every time they open their mouths and try to explain things like how they actually pay more in taxes even though their money sits in Swiss and Caymen Island Bank accounts, or that the 99% are dividing the Country. How in the world do we get a larger cohesive majority than 99%? If nothing else where is Mitt’s Patriotism that would make him invest in America while he professes to bring jobs to the middle class?

Then there is Newt who says he asked God for forgiveness and then brags about how his behavior is more acceptable than someone who remains faithful in their marriage. The man who had to pay $300,000.00 for ethics violations brags that he has never had a felony. After that he says his friends were turned down by ABC news in rebuttal to his second wife’s statement and it turns out to be nothing more than his two daughters. I mean how much credibility does he think, that gains him.

All I can say to the Super Pacs, who are putting millions and millions into both of their campaigns is, spare yourselves the cash, as nothing anyone can do can keep either or both from talking and at this point when they are not bashing and showing Americans, that they are on the wrong side of the fence when it comes to representing the views of the voters, they are showing us how real the hate is that they are spreading into the airways. They are both making a spectacle of themselves, at a time when Americans need to eat, and all the money spent in the world cannot change the facts. As many a generation before us have said,”You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”

New Beginnings

The challenge of starting over in life that many of us will be asked to do is always a little bit frightening until we do become settled. Many times it is not just our re-adjustment but that of our children as well. If we bring with our new start, “the same old garbage,” of the past then we can not just plan on it, but we can count on it, that we will be repeating the same mistakes that we made in the past.

If it is a new job and we were laid off in the past because the employees had no protection against layoffs then we will find ourselves in the same position again when the next downturn in the economy hits, if we can climb out of the current one. By eliminating the Unions as is happening, thanks to the efforts of the right-wing and the Tea Party candidates, we can be certain that the future of the employee will remain out of the hands of ourselves. Before the Unions there was no middle class. Just the poor and the wealthy and if they have their way, we will return to that.

Statistically, it is always the educated who have more input into what their next terms of employment will look like. Any education we can gain while unemployed always works in our own favor. If we are already educated then we must accept that the only thing available to any of us is going to sometimes mean a drastic cut in pay but the fact that we are educated gives us a better chance of beginning over than those who lack an education. People who apply themselves once they do get a job are often recognized for working below their potential and will rise accordingly in the Company. No good managerial staff will keep an over qualified person in the position when they can be better utilized else where in the Company.

Other times many of us have our own definition of what we feel we would be a success at and never had the courage or the time to try. Small business loans are clearing up a little since you last tried to appeal for one in some areas, so try again. If we do nothing to change our own circumstances then we can count on it, that nothing will happen. Sometimes new beginnings begin again in an entirely new location or region. We are as limited as our own imagination.

If the new beginning consists of relationships and we fail to look at our own mistakes or errors made, then we simply continue looking for the same kind of person who failed us previously and keep setting ourselves up to being mistreated again. On the other hand if we are the aggressor,adulterer, or just plain lazy then we need serious psychological help as to why it is that we keep defeating our own self in relationships.

The likelihood that we can change or we find change behind a glass of wine or a bottle of beer in a night club,bar or lounge is next to nil. Eyes do not meet across a table with a blaring band in the background and we behold the person that we have been waiting our whole life for. That happens in the mind of a romance novelist on a cloudy day somewhere in Manhattan or the burbs or in an isolated cabin in the woods.

When new beginnings are about new relationships or the fulfillment of a life long dream we need to depend on reality in a way that we have never done so in the past. The problem with on-line dating is anyone can agree with what we are saying and too many times we are trapped into the moment of,”Oh wow! We have so much in common. They like the same things that I like and so on and so forth. It might help if before you told them every thing about yourself that you ask them first who they admire and why,what they believe in and why, and if they depend on themselves or someone else first and any of the other character based questions, so that they do not have an opportunity to parrot your own beliefs or Character.

Meeting people in Church activities does not guarantee us that we are going to find someone who is as dedicated to their religion and the Church as we are as the word has been out for a while now that it is a good place to meet new men or new chicks. Even if the commitment is there too many fail to understand that being a Christian does not guarantee morality. Some times people who do attend are trying to clear a conscience that clearly needs to be cleared and are doing it without success.

We need to trust our own instincts and have a clear understanding of what makes us tick and what our own standards are. If people would get counseling before they dated instead of when they are ready to get a divorce they would be so much wiser. Too many times people will tell themselves that their standards are just too high and end up with real jerks time and time again. There are those who claim a nice guy just is not exciting enough without realizing that many times relationships like wine take time to age. It is when we give the nice guys a chance to develop that we do find the person we have been looking for all our life. We cannot fix anyone other than ourselves. We can only improve on what is already there.

Too many times men look for the most shallow of reasonings for their future mates. They like the personality of the woman who will speak out and stand up for herself, until they marry them and find out sometimes they are also a selfish bitch who is taking him for a ride or who has no wish to ever uphold her end of the bargain, but foolishly they lost touch of their male logic and allowed themselves to be rushed into a marriage. Other times they are looking for a woman who wears a size 3 and is a virgin and has no interests at shopping at the mall, and do not see the humor in that, that the rest of us see. Other times they do want the woman on their arm to be arm candy and look good and do not have a clue just how much that is going to cost them.

Other times and ladies beware, he is looking for an income large enough to support his dream of being a rock star. That interprets into this man is never going to support you. Other times men are looking for a woman he can control and then will complain that they cannot even communicate on any level beyond what her sisters and mother are doing.

When it comes to people, and we want them to care about us, we have to accept if they are obsessing over their own looks they are rarely going to put us second much less first. I do understand we all want people who wear deodorant and is pleasing to our sensibilities but the places most people are looking for them is not the most realistic places to meet, all the times. I do not suggest that we quit looking in those places so much as I do that we beware of what strikes are against us when we do meet there. Common sense should tell all of us if we meet in a location where it is easy for another person to know and parrot our own feelings,religious beliefs, or we are uninhibited due to that last drink, then we need to be that more alert of who we are meeting,before we invite them into our own space.

Sometimes starting over has nothing to do with replacing or meeting new relationships but we feel that we are losing control over our own ability to discipline,maintain, or become all we want to be, and like a ship “we feel a little lost at sea.” We have become Mrs. So and So or the Mom of So and So and we realize that we have or are close to losing our own identity. We need to discover, through a new beginning many times, when it was that we felt we did not matter as much as the rest of the family.

Other times we wake and discover that the life we dreamt about all our lives is not nearly as fulfilling as we thought it would be. We all do well to understand that many times the problem is not with or in the people that we are living with but instead something that we missed out on in ourselves. We can leave and destroy all that is and was sacred to us but ultimately we solve nothing because the problem is in ourselves. We need to get the help to find out what makes us tick.

Just praying does not always bring us answers, although I am a big supporter of prayer, sometimes we need to find that person who does work with us on a professional level and helps us understand ourselves better. Well intentioned friends are always going to give us a way out and too many times that is what we are looking for. A professional will not let us excuse ourselves. If we are fortunate to have a friend who will not let us b.s. ourselves and short of funds then sometimes that will work as well. Men and women alike, often feel that they are doing nothing they ever wanted to do or are locked in a place that they can’t get out and will turn to alcohol and or other women and men because their wives or husbands do not understand them.

Do our family the favor of getting help before we do something so stupid or rash, since way too many men and women do find when we do get help we already had everything we wanted but were too foolish or stupid to know it. Many times we let our own pride or insecurities lead to hearing things that were not said and having hurt feelings as well as all the other issues that go along with living with the same person for so long, really get misconstrued. Do not spend the rest of our lives grieving the loss that we create during a moment of temporary emotions gone astray. Many times our family are more than willing to help out and offer us the breaks we need or listen to us but it is we ,ourselves, who are shutting them out. More times than not, we do find that we had all the support we ever needed but refused to see it. New beginnings are about getting rid of yesterday’s garbage and finding we are not all that bad of a person to spend time with nor are those we did our best to try to drive away.

When Did Anger Become An Acceptable Excuse?

For centuries mankind has been looking for a cure to treat anger. Approximately a hundred years ago medicine researched with the glands of animals in what was known as glandular treatment to treat anger in men. It is well established that if anger can be treated then murder can be lessened if not prevented altogether. Anger has to precede the action of murder in order for the crime to come to fruition. Without anger there is not murder.

A man from Kansas, approximately 100 years ago, who referred to himself as a Doctor, transplanted the testicles of goats into 16,000 men. Since he had no training at all as a medical Doctor the fact that only 42 of his “so-called patients” died is somewhat of a miracle. Of course, the whole theory ultimately ended up being nothing more than a “quack theory”, but mankind still looks for a way to treat anger without little to no success. This includes a low rate of success in the anger management classes that have been held throughout our Country over the years.

As a Country we have far and away more churches than any other Country in The World as well as far and away more murders committed on a yearly basis. One could theorize that religion has been ineffective in teaching forgiveness over “an eye for an eye” and that crime levels as well as murder remains consistent with where it has been since 1920.

The latest polls show that 84% of Republicans, 70% of independents, and 54% of Democrats are against the Islam Center being built several blocks from the sight of 9/11. Isn’t blaming the Muslim faith for the destruction done by a radical Islamic, namely Saddam Bin Laden, no different from what we as a Nation did when we rounded up American born Japanese and imprisoned and persecuted them, after the attack of Pearl Harbor? Should we blame all Christians for the pedophile priests in the Catholic church? What about all Germans for the Holocaust?

It is my opinion that if we refused Christians from building Churches anywhere in the United States where they owned both the land and were spending their money to build the same percentage of Americans would be in an uproar over separation of Church and State and the liberals would be blamed for interfering with the right to worship.

If we are truly a Nation of Religious Freedom then we must allow the same freedom to Hindus, Jews, and Muslims as we do to Christians regardless of where they choose to build. If New York can prevent the Muslims’ from building and justifying it on legal terms then what is to stop any State from doing the same? For instance where the Mormon Faith is the heaviest, couldn’t they come up with an excuse that it interfered with their beliefs to allow another religion into the State to practice their faith or some flimsy excuse?

It only takes banning one religion, to allow the same law, to reverberate across the Nation and the effects of it to be felt for years. It’s that old theory of give an inch take a mile” when dealing with the number of ways law can be interpreted.Lawyers have all kinds of ways to come up with legalities than can be up held in courts for years while injustices run rampant in the process of Seperation of Church and State.

It was not the American Islams that attacked on 9/11 anymore than it was the American born Japanese that Attacked Pearl Harbor. Great injustices were done to the American born Japanese during that period of history that left a black eye against us for years to come. This is not a part of history we need to repeat with the Islamic faith due to an erratic group of Saddam Bin Laden lead radicals. We Americans are better than that.

I congratulate our President’s wisdom for speaking up even while knowing it is going to evoke more of the same hateful conversation against him. The only way we Americans are going to stop hate and anger is through our own compassion sprinkled with common sense.
