Steubenville Exposes Ugly Truth About Rape

We currently are hearing so many feigned voices of shock and surprise about the rape in Steubenville,Ohio, after having had an election while one Republican candidate for the Senate spoke of legitimate rape after having co-sponsored the same bill with the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan in Congress, to define legitimate rape as opposed to regular rape. Another Virginia Republican candidate called rape and the children born out of the same,” The intent of God.”

If women raped men we could all bet that women would be accused of being Jezebels and inspired by Satan if the reverse happened.  We could also guarantee ourselves it would be discussed as the most evil of acts and no woman would be left severely unpunished, regardless of how the rape occurred.

Men have gotten off with the excuse of going into a blind rage in an act of murder and instead charged with manslaughter when they kill another where women are often charged with murder 1 since the judicial system does not equate fear in women with the level of rage in men.  It totally discounts the idea that women can to act out of rage after years of abuse. Where women need a well documented history of rape or abuse, men need to establish little to no history either supportive or contrary to their own word in order to get a lesser sentence of manslaughter or for lawyers to refuse prosecution for rape charges.

When women are prosecuted for twice the amount of time that men are when death occurs in a domestic dispute, but treated more justly in other charges, we do not need to even guess how much harsher Society would be on a woman rapist than they are on men. Why so much shock and surprise over a statement that has been promoted for generations by the “Good Old Boys”,caused such a stir in the elections this year is beyond me.

Let me take this time to clarify the fact that rape amongst athletes has been taking place for generations just as the mentality has existed for Centuries, “That good girls cannot get pregnant from rape”, has existed as well. for the Republican Party or Press to deny the same is what is at the root of the ignorance in America.  To feign ignorance over rape amongst athletes or the idea that a child born from rape is a “Blessing from God,” are new ideas should leave us all sickened with those who continually dismiss the truth.  These ideas have existed since the beginning of time.

In the minds of the “Good Old Boy System”, and unfortunately some women as well, a legitimate rape is one that involves Street mugging or when a rapist breaks into the home of a woman and rapes her.  Any rapes that happen when a woman is in the company of men or marriage or in the man’s Apartment, barracks, frat house or territory, provocatively dressed or drinking, and the woman is raped it is no big deal to this mentality.  To many of both genders feel when this happens a woman is just asking for sex and rape does not happen under these circumstances.This attitude has always existed over the years, and continues being the attitude of to many.

Etiquette stated years ago, and perhaps still does,”One should never speak of politics,sex, or religion while in mixed company.”  Although I believe we have developed too casual of an attitude towards good manners, I do believe that not talking about politics,sex, or religion has left too many of us brain-dead on the issues that should matter and be discussed by all of us.  When we say the subject bores us then we are the ones who lose.  This post discusses all three subjects.

Allow me to tell you,the not so uncommon stories of its’ day in regards to women and rape.   I change the names and do not name the locations but I will not tell anything but the facts in the telling of these three stories. The names or locations are not important as these stories took place across our Nation in Jane and John Does and in anywhere U.S.A. during the era in which I write, along with years in advance of the same.

One generation does not often tell these kinds of stories from previous generations because it has to often been bred into the older generations to keep secrets in the past, or perhaps with time memory does get lost, behind both denial and disease.I begin from the truth of my own memory, that is still well-preserved. I Thank You for that Dear Lord, as I also inherited the mouth to tell the truth! Way back when there were the Landers Sisters writing and publishing the Nations problems, I was nicknamed Ann Landers since both men and women felt comfortable in telling me things that they would not even tell their husbands or wives.

1. It was the Spring of 1959 and an eighth grade girl ,who was rumored to  have been molested by a family member, was dating a young man,and together they had sex,previously,to the young girl attending a keg party with highschool athletes.  She was severely gang raped that night, as a result of drinking at the party.  No local lawyer, would take her case. The young victim had a wealthy aunt who lived 75 miles distance from the town, who could afford to pay for a lawyer, so they were able to hire an out-of-town lawyer.

When the case came before the judge, the victim’s boyfriend had been rounded up and forced to acknowledge that he had sexual relations with the girl who was the victim in this story.  The Judge threw the gang rape case out of Court and his finding stated,”No young man much less young boys could be held responsible for rape when the young girl in question, had previously de-flowered herself and was drinking alcohol under age.”Nothing was said about the young boys drinking illegally,of course.

2. In the Winter of 1964 a Catholic Priest, who the Church knew had a History of molesting young women, was given dispensation from duty as a Parish Priest and instead sent on the rounds of filling in as a speaker while conducting retreats in Convents and All Girls Catholic boarding Schools.  The same happened during this time with Priests celebrating retreats in all Boys Schools, when they had a history of molesting young boys.  The Catholic Church has come clean about their history but so many other Private Schools and Colleges are still denying that this still continues in their schools.  The Penn State Coach is NOT an uncommon story but just one of many.

3.  Going back to my farthest memory, any Sports player or Coach who brought fame to their sports program whether it was highschool, college, or the pros, were entitled to take anything they wanted to take, regardless of the size of the Town, City, or Religious affiliation. If the athlete is part of the team but not a star player then they will be used as the fall guy for the stars to remain clean. Unless it was burglary, where a Store refused to drop charges but in most cases even they could be bought off, if the athlete was a star and changed his ways.  Most Teams, while traveling elsewhere to play outside of their own town or City will have a team of scouts scouting out the local scene for a Party for them to return to.  These Parties since the 1960′s have both girls of questionable morality as well as virgins rounded up to attend.

Highschool girls have always been amongst the attendees of both sports and fraternity parties. It may be cool to a 16-year-old virgin, or not, to think they look older than they do and to go ahead and drink but when these girls do, it excuses the boys from showing the girls, respect. To many believe that when a girl says “NO” they are only teasing and instead they really want sex.  Boys have been told for generations that some girls need more convincing and when they say “No”, they really mean yes. Dress and drinking in women has always been grounds for rape, if they get drunk or even if drugs have been placed in their drinks, at these parties. I certainly do not accept that this mentality has ever been right but pretending we have not only tolerated it but promoted it for generations, makes it even more deplorable now when we deny the same.

A woman or young girl who is unconscious from drugs or alcohol has never been hands off in the minds of some boys and men and to pretend that this behavior does not happen or has not happened in the past is just another lie of the “Good Old Boy System.” I do not deny that there are some girls whose morality can make some mens’ behavior, pristine, but until we accept that prostitutes are raped, then we deny reality.

We fail women and our sisters alike, when we hold all women responsible for the behavior of a few.  All women have always been held responsible for those few women; where as all men and their behavior has been excused because of the behavior of the few women, who would set up men and yell “rape.” Rape is as unpleasant for most women to have to divulge the details and to relive the rape in a Court of law, regardless of their background, as it is for a man to get his penis removed, and yet we have always blamed victims of rape, for causing rape. Women, not men, are raped again by our judicial system.

Regardless, if it is a house party or a frat house across America the boys and men of the crowd are egged on to feel that rape is justified because “Good Girls” would not be there drinking if they didn’t want sex, has always been the mentality of the “Good Old Boy System”This mentality has existed in the “bad boys” as well as the Sports teams going back at least to the 1950′s when I first heard the stories told to me by the girls who had been raped.  Going to a man’s house or apt. under the guise of having a cup of coffee or to listen to his music, has existed for just as long, as a reason for rape.  It doesn’t have to be alcohol and to pretend that it does is only promoting the same lies. I’m sure those older than myself will tell my readers the same statement of fact, if they care to be honest with their grandchildren.

For a bunch of right-wing Republican men and the media that backs them,to feign ignorance or to act flabbergasted at the same while they continue to deny women,that this has been and remains the mentality amongst the “Good Old Boy System,” for centuries, sickened me in the Republican elections this year.  The fact that the media is now pointing a finger at Steubenville,Ohio, as being small town and unique in their cover up of the most recent rape being broadcasted, leaves me equally sick.

No one who has ever served as a cheerleader or been part of the popular or un-popular group could not possibly have attended highschool and had a successful Sports team, without knowing that this behavior took and takes place whether they were or are girls or boys.  The mentality that allows whole communities to protect rape and the behavior and mentality that broadcasts,” That these women deserve to be raped”,comes from a background in which we began early, hearing these stories as always being the fault of women. Too many women who serve on Juries are even worse than male juries when it comes to pointing a finger at the rape victims. To many times the lives of all boys, girls, and women who are raped, are destroyed by the men and women who protect these lies.

To deny that as a fact, has to make all of us ask,”Just how far has America slipped into denial?’  Will we deny that 67 Republican Tea Party members attempted to hold up funding for the Hurricane Sandy victims while FEMA was saying they were going broke and could not pay back the families who had paid into their flood Insurance?

Will we remain in denial of the fact that 183 Republican Congressmen and Senators could have cared less if it cost the middle class 100s of thousands of jobs, if we had gone over the fiscal cliff?  Did we elect them because their ideology is more important to us, than are our children and elderly, who will go hungry or without effective medical care? Will we all do better living on the Republican and the N.R.A. ideology that makes us feel unsafe without a gun in our homes even though a third of all deaths of children result as our having a gun in our homes. Will their ideology make us a better Democracy if we cannot provide for our families?

Does the N.R.A. lobbying the Republican Congress, who followed through on their bidding, to disallow funding to the Disease Control Center, make us feel even safer against Disease? If this sounds like a stupid analogy to those of you who protect the Republican Congress, rape, and guns, then just think of what you, yourselves, must sound like to the rest of the World!

Will we keep denying the fact that 50 some economists outside of Washington are saying that the only thing that is stagnating the American Economy is the 67 Tea Party members voting against the needs of the people along with the far right in Congress, who clearly want to see government go broke before they serve the needs of our elderly? Even Wall Street has joined the side of the Democrats on the damage being done to Business growth and jobs by the uncertainty of the Republican Congress. How much more can we deny until denial renders us all brainless when it comes to human decency and common sense?

I ask you,”Are we now going to pass the blame on to a bunch of kids in Steubenville,Ohio, for doing what men have always done or are we going to finally acknowledge the injustice of it, ALL! The guilty in Steubenville needs to be prosecuted along with others in our Nation.  I certainly do not mean to make allowances for the people responsible for such an ugly crime in Steubenville, Ohio, but it is our Nation’s problem. We all must take responsibility for denying these problems have always existed and still do exist.

We begin by eliminating the mindset that allows us to remain in denial, to the point that those amongst us simply accept it as “Just being the way it has always been,” before another election brings in more of the same mentality that cripples us as a Democracy. To accept it as being the way it is, has always been a second crime of humanity, against both our children and women. Those who tell us they want to go back to the 1950′s morality are lying to all of us about the truth that existed then just as it does today.

I warn all parents to think twice when they think popular,”is all that,” because a cheerleader and a popular girl are twice as likely to be raped than is a less popular girl. These girls also peak early just as the ball players do, and their best memories are as children or in highschool.  They learn ,too often, to settle for less and have a far greater chance of becoming pregnant as teenagers.  The “nerds”, on the other hand, have far greater statistics when it comes to those who go on to challenging careers following a College education and happy and contented lives.  If we parents cannot consider long-term results as a priority in our lives, then how can we expect those younger than ourselves to have common sense?

When we set up our own children to continue under the system that many of us tried to stop, we punish our children for the sins of the parents.” When we lack common decency,our children lack the same.  When we make everything about ourselves then our children do as well. When we as adults deny truth of fact and our children are raised on the same, we create the monster that often leads to more half-truths and false accusations against the victims of our Society.

Ultimately the same mentality leads to an increase failure in families and a bigger concern of increased crime in children at a much younger age. We cannot deny that the viciousness of our youth crimes are not increasing with the mentality that blames the victims over the perpetrators. As a Society brain washed in gun ownership our children have emerged as the losers. We need to hold both parents responsible for the failure of the child while we increase our endeavors to spot and treat both mental illness and drug addiction as the diseases that they are.  We need to give trained professionals who recognize the need for early intervention and parents the ability to get the help these children need through our Court Systems.

Those who claim family values would not need to talk about family values, if they had any.  Conversation along the lines of family values or the worsening of morality ultimately gives our Churches a bad name for failing at their jobs. The Conservative right is doing a bang up job of destroying Religion along with the Republican Tea Party, when they are not doing it to themselves. When questionable and charismatic Religion preaches the “Prosperity Gospels” while bleeding money from the poor and middle class and then blame the poor and middle class for their own poverty due to a lack of Faith, it is time we all voice our outrage. It takes the voice of the people to stand up to the injustices taking place and have taken place under our noses for generations. It begins with placing the emphasis on the right priorities without attacking the victims.

It never solves anything to talk when we need to be acting to stop the mentality in all of the new generations while charging those,” who do not get it”,in a Court of Law.  The mentality of,”Boys will be Boys,” has always laid at the root of the corruption in morality, since the beginning of mankind. If we want to make a difference, then we must begin today in telling the younger generations, who are our future, the ugly truth of yesterday.

To tell our grandchildren that children and women experienced a kinder gentler time in History, is and always has been a lie. Any adult who refuses to accept reality, needs to also accept that they are jeopardizing the future of their children and grandchildren, when they choose denial of the facts, over the truth. When we know better then we need to do better as a Society and as a Nation of laws.

To blame Steubenville alone is ludicrous, because if we leave them carrying the bag for what has been wrong for generations,around the World, we leave all of our children unprotected against rape,guns, and our own stupidity.  For the sake of our children, we must begin with changing the mentality, that we have allowed to go on.  We can no longer deny our own behavior and motives when technology shows us the truth and refuses to tolerate lies.

The Irrational NRA Leadership

When Wayne LaPierre, Vice President of the NRA held his press conference today, and got up to speak I got so sick to my stomach of his propaganda that I hate to write this post drawing attention to his speech.  If I don’t talk about it and point out just how severely insensitive the man was then, I like to many others will let that type of mentality pass off to those who do not know the heart of the American citizen, think his brand of callousness lies in the hearts of the majority of Americans.  As expected he blamed everyone but the NRA. Politicians politicizing it, demonic behavior, gun free school zones as an advertisement for the disturbed,video games, the lack of guards in our schools, the entertainment industry and the media.

If anyone read my post yesterday entitled,”Why Do We Lead The World In Suicide’ then you know I pointed out the cultural differences that we all must share in and the responsibility we all must take to keep our children safe.  We do not need guns in schools because they offer a false sense of security to those who carry a gun.  They also offer a challenge to those like Timothy McVeigh who went to a bomb where armed guards were, instead.

The facts are that the majority of us who own a gun will not and cannot shoot to kill another human being and we will either freeze up when called on to do so or we will shoot wildly into a crowd and kill more innocent people. Even policemen, who are trained to use a gun, know to shoot their guns is the last possible choice they have to make,since we have an established record of collateral damage and more lives lost as a result of having to use a gun in a crowd, throughout our History. Armed guards in banks and air ports know not to shoot where people are gathering.  The guards only end up being another victim when a person enters the space or establishment and far more guards are killed in businesses,Court Houses, or banks than are armed robbers, because they do not want to harm the innocent around them.

I don’t know what kind of sick home Wayne LaPierre grew up in or raised his children in but his statement that,” today’s children will see 16,000 murder scenes by the time they reach the ripe old age of 18,” is so totally inaccurate that if it wasn’t such a serious subject it would be laughable.  Movies of sexual or violent content are rated in America and children who do not have an ID of proof of age cannot get into a PG13 or R rated movie.  I know that to be a fact, even when they are accompanied by an adult.

I don’t doubt there are irresponsible parents who could care less about the movies their children watch at home but to declare them as the norm is totally adding salt to the wound of parents who do not allow their children to watch these movies or play these games.  Many homes have controls on their computers and televisions that will not allow the viewing of these shows and television warns adults when something is not appropriate or wrong for children to watch as well.  Even our news programs will place a warning prior to showing it.

Facts number two are that the very same movies named and the very same video games that Wayne LaPierre named play in Countries like Britain and Japan and are the very same video games played in both Countries. A ten-year study shows that they do not influence children to kill but violence in a home acted out by parents can and does. The Industrial or Civilized Nations have as much porn and as many people who prostitute.  They work to buy and over spend as well.  All the same things we have in our culture they have as well.

Britain and Japan are as civilized and advanced as we are and have the same kind of Democracies as we do. Britain’s Military is as strong as our own. The prices and costs in Japan are extravagant along side of what we pay for the same. The raining London skies and the Cramped Tokyo Apts. lead to as much depression and thoughts of suicide in these Countries as much as they do in our own but they do not stigmatize mental illness the way we do. They have free treatment facilities where anyone who is suffering from mental illness or delusional thinking can get help free, at any hour.

What separates all other advanced or civilized Countries from the United States is they do not have a powerful lobbyist that has brain washed gun enthusiasts into believing that the right to own a gun is a higher right than the right for people to be able to live.  When murder happens they do not have a Wayne Lapierre blaming everyone and everything else but themselves for the murders in their Country because they have gun laws that lessen those deaths.  Britain averages 600 murders per year in total and Japan has practically none while the United States has 18,000 suicides or 32,000 murders per year.

The facts are that no other civilized Nation tolerates the mentality that the NRA has and the irrational thinking that they hold nor do they use the lies or the scare tactics and the despicable words the NRA uses to blame everyone but themselves. The National Rifle Association leadership, needs to convince gun enthusiasts that everyone else is wrong and they are right otherwise they may lose their own power through lost of membership dues.

They are amongst the most powerful lobbyists in the Nation and no conservative politician from either the Democrat or the Republican Party can get elected without the support of the NRA.  Other Countries refuse to fight murder and suicide by using guns to protect against guns because they are rational enough to understand that people cannot kill unless they have months of training or are disturbed enough to commit suicide/murder. These certified programs that Texas and Utah like to talk about are three-days of watching videos and training at a gun range while shooting at a target in order to get a certificate to carry a gun in school.

To give teachers and school workers,  in places like Utah and Texas a certificate of completion of  a gun training course does not qualify them for training that allows another human being to fire under threat of gun fire or to kill another human being while looking into the eyes of someone who is just a kid themselves. How much more desensitizing of our behavior towards the power of the gun over the value of life are we going to tolerate in teaching our children, as a Nation, before we yell enough! Do we really want our youngest and most innocent strapped with the knowledge or fear that their teacher or the nice man with a gun or themselves can be killed at any given moment?

Teachers are trained to keep our children safe and we want their thoughts to go first towards protecting our children, over running in fear or stopping to kill. Teachers who care are not trained to kill the next young man who walks into the building armed to shoot. Many times they are students or past students of theirs and they are not going to be able to shoot to kill.  It is irrational thinking on our part to think they can and equally as unfair as to think they should. We may think if it is our lives or the lives of a child we all can shoot to kill but it is pure and literal nonsense. Firing a gun is not like going out to the paint ball course and shooting paint balls at each other. The fear or the need to survive under pressure of assault in the untrained, takes over control of all rational thoughts that we have when our lives are not under threat of danger. We freeze,run, or if we shoot we shoot wildly injuring far more others than lives we save.  Firing at a target is not the same as looking a human being in the eyes and firing.

It takes a well trained or a disturbed mind to do so and even then that trauma follows those who are trained perfectly, the rest of their lives.  Ask any military personnel or policemen how devastating the effects are of taking another life in defense of the Country, is on their lives, even when it is done for a higher honor.  I have lived with the results of those who fought in wars and too many times they are haunted by it forever. Many come home and turn to alcohol just to live past the nightmares that enter their sleeping hours or become workaholics in an effort to forget.  Their marriages and their lives quite often fall apart.

The mistake the media made was to allow that kind of propaganda that is spread across America by the NRA and some of its followers to even be broadcasted. As soon as they knew they had been had by the National Rifle Association they should have shut them off just as they do when a politician says something that is not of their political persuasion.  When this propaganda is spread it only leads to desensitize the minds of those who are already desensitized to the point that it starts making perfectly good sense to them.

No person who hunts wild game, even after hours of target practice, will escape what is known as buck fever. It takes practice to be able to shoot game animals before becoming an accurate enough shot to make the bullet connect with the game animal being shot. Even seasoned bird hunters will experience buck fever when switching to larger game animals.  Buck fever is the name commonly given to the hunter who will both sub-consciously and automatically pull up on their gun when shooting rather than to kill the animal.

It is not an automatic reaction in clear thinking humans to kill with a gun on instinct and it requires months to train people to kill out of a necessity or a higher pursuit of justice. Both the Police Academies and Military training requires men and women shooting blanks or live rounds above the heads of those in the fields to acclimate them to the reality of being able to fire at a human being every bit as much as it takes hours to train humans to remain calm, in order to kill out of necessity in war or when under attack. These are not normal traits that we adapt to on a first reaction under attack.

The guns Mr. NRA said the media is lying about and the politicians are trying to find fame in and that are being politicized hold magazines that leads to massive deaths.  Does it really matter if they are military or assault weapons when they fire in rapid succession?  Don’t they kill just as quickly and destroy the lives of our innocent just as well. They certainly cannot be used for hunting anymore than the ammunition they protect can be used to hunt when its only purpose is to pierce the vests of policemen and police women who are killed in the act of duty by the same.

I have acknowledged that it is our culture and the love of the gun  that needs to share responsiblity with the NRA for gun deaths in America but it does not hold a candle to the deaths that are caused by people arming themselves with a false bravado of thinking they will be able to shoot to kill.   Nothing inspires the fantasy  or gives forth the power to kill more than those who are too meek to murder or encourages those who are disturbed enough to murder faster, than the thrust of a gun. The gun feeds those fantasies in the minds of the disturbed faster than anything else that they can do.

Those who will cause murder have no conscious and we cannot try to rationalize  our minds with theirs. I repeat, people who are armed are killed  far more often by the perpetrators than what the perpetrators are killed. They always have the element of surprise over us and a great many of them do not have the same fear of death because many of them are seeking out suicide by cop.

Guns in the hands of those who are not thinking realistically only offers us a false sense of security that is quickly over taken by the perpetrators. Those who are disturbed do not hear the noises and sounds we hear as many are disturbed or can only hear the voices in their own heads.  They do not even hear the screams around them that make us run out of fear but as soon as we think we can pull a gun and shoot we will be dead with or without our three-day certificate that gives us a license to carry a gun. It is a fact!

I am sick of the hate and the fear tactics of the NRA and if you viewed the same that I did and could not see that expressed yourselves, I can only respond that Americans are much more sicker than I thought.  The NRA fear and propaganda tactics are not only false but they are irrational and have no place in the power that runs America. It sickens me that such trash talk was allowed to be spoken on our media services at a time we are already sicken by the deaths of our innocent, by guns.

Instead of talking about banning ammunition and magazines that only serves to kill humans along with high powerful and assault weapons, Wayne Lapiere and the NRA paid for monkeys successfully changed the subject to arming personnel in our schools where our children would be subjected to even more violence.  Anyone who thinks the bullies or gangs who hang out in some of our schools across America would not find a gun a worthy challenge to be taken, are not being realistic about what really does go on when the disturbed are made to feel powerful behind a gun.

What can I say other than may the Season offer some design of light into the hearts and minds of all of us and may we be infused by the Holy Spirit and Guardian that guides us towards common sense and intelligence to know the difference.  May God help us all in letting the goodness in all of us shine through the insanity of it all. Guns And Mental Illness

Too often as a Nation, we over look the risks and dangers of in-action.  We too many times talk about needing to help draw attention to both guns and mental illness but then the reminders of the tragedy passes and the powerful lobbyists again, win.

The facts are: we do nothing about the out of control gun ownership in our Nation because of the lies that lead to fear tactics, told and spread by the National Rifle Associations and many of their colleagues. People who run for office know and understand that the NRA is only second in power to the American Medical Ass. or the A.M.A.  With men like the Koch brothers backing the NRA, Republicans and Conservative Democrats know they will lose their jobs or never get elected if they even whisper, “gun control”, so as a Nation we keep talking about doing something and then we forget about it until the next tragedy.

When those who claim that,”we need to  grieve first,” I am in agreement with you if that is what it will take to give you the strength later to claim your responsibility to protect the children.  I am equally supportive of those of us who express our views now, as it is when we put a time clock on our expression of anguish, that we too often fail to do anything that will be heard by those who are responsible for such a needless tragedy. In America we need to accord the grieving of all people on their own time frame, because as a Nation we all share in the grief.  When we start judging each other in how or when they grieve or express that grief, then we fail to understand our own need to stop the in-action in us.

What always amazes me is the public outrage or disbelief that these tragedies often happen in small or rural communities.  Mental illness and gun ownership is as prevalent in one area of America as the other. If we recognize that abuse happens in one out of every three homes in America regardless of the social economic situation, and a person needs to be mentally unstable on some level or suffering from depression on another, in order to commit murder/suicide, then we can and should accept that our children are not safe anywhere as long as gun enthusiasts rights are protected by the lobbyists who control our Nation and politicians.

Depression that is sometimes brought on by circumstances in our lives, holds no favorites nor does it care what the size of the community is or the type of community we reside in.  The sad thing is that mental illness is easily recognized by those who refuse to spend their lives in denial, and as equally and as readily treatable.  When Politicians, the law or the courts, or insurance companies refuse to help parents by passing laws that aid in the treatment of mental illness and carrying them long-term on insurance policies, then the public will too often suffer the consequences. We as a society should never condemn the parents for the real frustrations and sometimes fear that they are left to deal with in the interim. We instead need to point the finger at those who are more committed to profit over the safety of our children and ourselves.

We know mental illness results as much from genetics as it does from environment and just as compassionate people should not fault people for the unfortunate circumstances of many physical diseases, we should not condemn those who suffer from mental illness.  When we do not demand the coverage of Insurance Companies to cover mental illness, but too many times complain because our premium costs go up instead, then we also play into the neglect of the needs of our own or are responsible for our own in-action. When we refuse to believe that as a Nation we all must protect the needs of our children, then we fail more than just our children but we fail ourselves, as well.

As a Nation we are hearing the underpinnings of the refusal to cover the cost of the health care for our elderly,disabled, and poor even though Nations less advanced than our own cover 100% of the costs of all of its citizens, without stating as fact, that as a Nation they can no longer afford to do so. When we refuse to invest in the needs of our people, we refuse to keep our children safe as well.  In order for our children to be totally safe in America we must demand that the 17 Republican State Legislatures who passed into law the, “Stand Your Ground Laws”,over-ride the law effective, immediately.

We already have a history of knowing when lay people are not effectively trained, do pull a gun on another or fire back, too many times we will fire into a crowd wildly which leads to more death, or we will freeze up and not fire at all. Shooting at a target or a gun club does not offer us the same reality as actually shooting at another human being does. Guns in the hands of those of us who are not trained or of the mindset, only causes more death and destruction, when called on to defend ourselves or others. Even trained policemen are slow to use their guns due to the collateral damage that is often present. Using guns to protect against guns is simply another fallacy offered by The N.R.A. and those who protect the use of guns. The Stand Your Ground Laws,  have already shown that they are just another death, waiting to happen in our children.

We can no longer let the lies that the hunter will lose his guns or it is against the Constitution to interfere with the right to bear arms over ride our own common sense, while we let the power of those who run our Nation through preying on the ignorance of others to continue. It amazes me and should all of us, that the argument that if they don’t have a gun they will use a knife has led people to believe that as many people would die in as rapid succession with a knife as an assault rifle or a hand gun, has appeased the minds of those who pay membership into the NRA or those who are supposed Represent us in government.

The guns that are meant for self-defense or offense serve absolutely no needs and only adds to the destruction of the meat of the game animals and leads to the lost of human life. Military type weapons and ammunition do not belong in a home where our most innocent of people live or visit.  When the investigation is finished in New Town, Connecticut, we will do doubt hear as we always do, the guns that killed came from the home of the mother,  who was killed and who made the same mistake that too many others make and felt that a gun was safe in the home or would protect her.

Statistically, we kill many more people with guns of self-protection than lives we save as a result of owning the same. When 34 people per day or 32,000 people per year, die in America each year as a result of guns, then shouldn’t we start talking honestly about a person’s right to live over the rights of a person to own a gun?  When we compare our death rates with the use of a gun to those of 600 per year to Britain,who have much stricter gun laws, then something is terribly wrong when we don’t have meaningful dialog on the right of Americans to live over the right of a person to use a gun at will.

If we as a Nation place weapons into categories and then ban those categories we do not deny the hunter but instead deny those who would and do kill. If laws are enforced and placed on us to make us responsible for the handling of the weapon used for protection, then the unstable will not be able to own guns. When the Republican Party refused to reinstate the Brady bill in 2004 or the Violence Against Women Bill in 2011, they made it clear that it is not the people they are safe guarding and investing in, but the lobbyists instead.

When the NRA refuses to take action to ban bullets and ammunition when the only purpose they have, is to penetrate the vests of law enforcement, but instead lobbies millions into campaigns to guarantee the use of the same, then we the American public need to have our voices heard. When we demand that the responsible thing is done to keep all of us safe, then we will no longer need to ask “Why?” When irrational acts are done by those through irrational behavior, then we must as a Nation quit denying, “that guns do not kill but people do.” Without guns, irrational people cannot slaughter our young people or those who would protect them, in mass.

When guns are not kept safe in our homes or those who would use a gun to end life, knows where grandpa keeps the key, we must be held responsible for keeping guns and ammunition unprotected in our homes by the understanding that life is more precious than the need for recreational sport, with a fire arm.  Just as we wouldn’t turn rattle snakes loose in our homes or watch our children do drugs, and then deny that they would not kill, we must quit denying that guns do not kill.

There needs to be laws established to protect the gun as well as the people. If laws were made that would ban the use of a recreational gun, to those who it is not registered to and enforced by a stiff penalty of law, perhaps the most recent tragedy, just as in Columbine,would never have happened. If they refuse to pass the laws then we as responsible parents must understand that guns do kill.  Just as we do not offer our prescription drugs to children without penalty of law why would we offer a gun to anyone who it is not registered to use? Recreational guns could just as easily be stored at gun clubs or shooting ranges or stored in gun safes by responsible adults in the home. If we can put on a seat belt then surely we can safeguard the use of a gun.

We, the American People, can no longer let the memories of our children lost ,be in vain.  It does not matter if they died in Milwaukee, NewTown, Aurora, or on the streets of Detroit, Chicago or Philadelphia, their deaths just as their lives did, need to bring forward meaning to all of us. Their short-lived lives must stand for the end to the destruction done in our Nation by guns that only serve the purpose to kill our innocent people. We can no longer deny that the gun in the hands of the unstable kills.

These adults and children’s lives need to stand for the good in all of us that seeks out and demands the end to such tragedy in our Nation.  We cannot forget the trauma also experienced by the survivors in these terribly destructive killings of our loving adults and innocent children. We cannot allow such destructive behavior to continue to make our children to feel that adults do not stand for their need to feel safe. We cannot continue with the mentality that just because some one is a member of our family that their outbursts,with draw from Society, or fantasy of killing is normal.

When we as a Nation put politics, denial of reality, or sacristy of gun use in the hands of the unstable, over the sacristy of life, then we need to ask ourselves,” just how misconstrued is the American love of the gun over the value of life?”  We all need to take responsibility for common sense guiding us over a misconstrued value system.

Sadly the N.R.A. fights against any and all laws to use common sense in the handling of a gun and the storage of the same. Every lawyer knows and understands that any attempt to control the storage or use of a gun will lead to years of litigation by the N.R.A., just as every Conservative Democrats or Republican candidate understands it will lead to lost of their election run if they refuse to support the stand of the N.R.A.

Do not let the media fool you into believing it is as much Democrats as Republicans in Washington as less than 30 Democrats in Washington are Conservative out of  approximately 289 with only 47 Democrats,both liberal and Conservative in the Congress, as verses 196 Conservative Republicans including the Tea Party in the Republican Party married to the NRA.  When photo opts of our Republican leadership are taken in the presence of the NRA leadership representatives, each election year are seen as a proud moment of the Republican Party, then we need to ask, “Would our voices be louder than the lobbyists if we refused to vote for any candidate who protected or promoted the NRA and their colleagues’ memberships?”

Isn’t it going, “to take a village,” just as much as a city of people who are willing to stop the insanity of killings in our Nation and those who believe that we have a moral obligation to protect our children, to join together, to make the changes?  We have more than ample enough evidence to know that the politicians have no plan in doing anything but talking about it, because they are afraid to take a stand against the lobbyists.

Those politicians, who are committed to do otherwise, need our help and commitment to them at the election polls and need to hear our voices just as much as the law makers and politicians need to keep us safe. Do any of us even know who the Federal Judges in our States are, that we keep electing each election? I repeat:”When the voices and the votes of we the American people”, are counted and become more powerful than the lobbyists in Washington and our States, then we will have a Nation that protects its children.

If  we had spoken up as much for the rights of our children to be safe, as others did for the fetus, do any of us doubt that the politicians would act differently in the hours they put in, on the floor of the House or the Senate to protect our children against violence? When it comes to making and establishing gun laws, don’t we believe that if our voices are heard and our votes counted, that the politicians would develop more of a dialog in doing something to keep our children safe?

All the money paid the politicians by the lobbyists and men like Sam Adelson or the Koch Brothers cannot win an election for the politicians who refuse to act in the best interests of the American people if we simply refuse to vote for them or re-elect them.  The real power still lies in the hands of the common sense approach of the people, when we choose to invoke the same at the election polls.

When our voices and actions are as empty as the politicians, then the more powerful the Insurance lobbyists,NRA,and the American Insurance under writers will remain.  It is time that we make the changes in ourselves now, by moving forward instead of shaking our heads and passing the buck. I have enough faith in the power of the people to believe that we can make a difference in the safety of the lives of our children, so no other family has to ever suffer the tragedy taking place in our Nation today.

I am wishing everyone the Blessings of the Holiday Season and compassion for the grieving of those who have lost the most, along with those of us who have lost as a Nation. God Help us all.

Ted Nugent Is A Coward And An Idiot

I try to remain out of the fray that gets into name calling but there are some times when the names fit the person so perfectly and when that happens then I am no different from the masses in that I find it necessary to speak the obvious.

I took interest in politics at a very young age and as a result I go back to the days of my Father’s interests and remember clearly the Adlai Stevenson and the Ike Eisenhauser race of the 1950′s. The Conservatives were angry then and talking the same rhetoric that they do today in how it is illegal to pay taxes and no one should have to pay any taxes. The same bunch who is always eager to send the young men and women, as long as it is not their children or grand children to war, do not feel they owe Our Country anything of a monetary value.

One escapes all of the hate and stupidity once we start out of the Bible Belt of America and instead they get into the gang wars of the cities. Armeggedon and Biblical wars seem to justify this mentality in some, in the more rural areas of America. With the National Rifle Association or better known as the NRA meeting in St. Louis this year they divided the difference between the redneck territory of America.

Mitt Romney, like every Repubican President before him, met with the NRA and spoke while asking for their support,and as such he does need to stand up and speak out in regards to the hate coming out of the mouth of board member of the NRA, Ted Nugent,whose words are clearly being said in an effort to incite violence against our President. It is a disgrace to all Americans that the Republicans have not seen it as their duty and responsibility and demanded that Ted Nugent cease and desist or they will withdraw from the membership of the NRA. Instead Mitt and the gang continue to curry the favor of Ted Nugent and the NRA that he represents. What Ted Nugent is saying is not a suicide threat as suicide patients go to hospitals and not jails, and to say so is only a cop out.

There has not been an election, in my memory, where the NRA has not stirred up the waters of hate or convinced a certain sector of America of believing that the Democrats or Liberals will take away their guns.

They gather together and nod their heads and agree that they will eliminate all Democrats and Liberals who protect the rights of gays,minorities,and women at the election polls, before they have their hunting rifles taken from them. Because of this insanity and bigotry fed into the Bible belt by the NRA they have been an important and intricate part of the Republican Party going back to the beginning of their roots. Typically every Republican running for the office of President, whether they have ever shot a gun or gone hunting, will meet with them for their support since they are one of their greatest indoctrination forces in the the Heartland and points South,North,East and West in America. Many Republican Presidential Candidates will put on the clothing of a hunter and go out and pose for a photo opp.

The truth is that the Democratic Party pretty much leaves the NRA alone. The Brady bill that led to pre-registration of guns, prior to buying a gun and was long over-due, was passed because it was President Ronald Reagan who was shot, and passed through by the support of Republican Party, itself.

All the stupidity and scare tactics are played out with words like Socialists and Communists and crude slang for African Americans,Latinos,American Arabs,Viet Namese and any minority in their area,and gays, being chatted by the skin heads and red necks of America, every election year. Each election year the Red necks gather around a beer and talk about the damn commies,gays and minorities infiltrating America and threatening to take away their guns. Because of the influence and often stupidity fed by the NRA into American Society the Red Necks truely believe that the Democrats are out to destroy their Constitutional right to bear arms. In some of the more red neck groups along with the hate groups there is more talk about hunkering down and arming themselves against the damn Liberals in their manmade bunkers. Ammunition and gun sales go up along with cammoflage and the NRA accomplishes it’s goal of making the paranoid amongst us just a little more paranoid.

What makes Ted Nugent both an idiot and a coward with his statement,”if President OBama is re-elected he, Ted Nugent, will either be dead or in jail next year.” is he is deliberately promoting that one of those paranoid rednecks around him, ends up dead or in jail by assassinating our President. It is the same lack of responsibility that the Pro Life members take when an abortion clinic is blown up and the people inside are all killed by one of their own who wants to become a infamous hero in their eyes. Unfortunately this type of rhetoric works in the mentally embalanced in any group or organization.It is a direct attempt to incite a threat of assasination by an man of questionable skill and intelligence.

If Ted Nugent was not the coward he is he would have made a direct threat and the Secret service would throw his butt in jail and pump him sunshine. By talking in the words that he did he sounds tough and ready to give his life to the cause when in truth he is much too big of a coward to do anything other than to threaten the life of an Honorable man who stands head and shoulders above the likes of Ted Nugent.

I will not give further credence to the words of an idiot other than to prove my point in that this Tea Party member has also said that “Sarah Palin is the most capable politician in America.” If that does not prove what an idiot he is, then I rest my case.

Sadly in America there is an arm of the Tea Party who does feed hate and advocate violence and keeps the Conservative base of the Republican Party stirred up and convinced that President OBama is a worse enemy of the people than what Hitler was to Germany.

The redneck community often feels as though they are victimized by government because everyone else around them, in their minds, do not work as hard as they do but has more than they do. When it is not their fault, which it never is in their minds, then it is the government’s fault and people who run it. They believe that all the jobs they are qualified for are being denied them and instead going to women, minorities, and gays. They in their misguided minds see the white male as being entitled to first choices as that has always been the norm in their experience. Women belong at home taking orders from the man just as do the minorities need to understand that the white male gives the orders, and do not compete with them in the work force. The only thing that separates them from the hate of the Ku Klux Klan is the different names they call themselves. They do not nor will they ever see government as the protector of the people.

The Tea Party ideology that feeds into this mentality only leads to the kind of hate that is coming out of the mouth of Ted Nugent. I have said for years and truly mean it, we are under a greater threat from these type of terrorists groups within our own Country than we are from the terrorists outside of our boundaries.

These cowards who spew hate are not just located in sections of the cities but are far greater in the rural areas of America. Each year their rhetoric becomes louder and more hateful and because of that it is important that the Republican Party takes a strong stand against this kind of hate that does come out of the mouth of a very hateful man such as Ted Nugent, and the groups that feed into it.

I believe we have seen the lack of leadership in the man who wants to be President in, Mitt Romney, in regards to his lack of handling this situation with Ted Nugent. If the best Mitt can do is to correct the language of a would be terrorist, who threatens the life of Our President, is “watch your language,” then just what kind of a leader will he make?

Is the same man who professes to be a great business leader and a protector of the people even capable of leading?A man who can only understand the needs of the weathy, is just another politician too many in the minds of many. I think at heart this is the real thing that concerns all of us about Mitt Romney. A man who has been a liberal, a moderate and now a conservative because it suits his needs to be elected is always capable of becoming whatever the “Powers that Be” want him to become. With Ted Nugent exposing the under belly of the Tea Party and the mentality of the Conservative, can any of us afford to have a President who will be easilly influenced by this hate and unable to pronounce that such hate will not be tolerated in America, as our leader? The Disposable People

The Churches in America have the right to deny people of their choosing the right to worship,marry, get abortions and even to deny insurance coverage when it is their Church,charity, or hospitals.

We often object to their lack of sensibilities, not to mention their lack of empathy and compassion, and intolerance against people of their choosing. Christ clearly showed the Christian Churches that they needed to embrace all people, and all people are the Children of God.

At the time of Christ, people who suffered from leprosy, would be shipped off and held separate from society. They were shunned by everyone because of the fear mongering of the time. Christ went into their colony’s to embrace them to teach all Christians, of his acceptance of all people. The only real power given to the Churches were to forgive the sins of mankind when they asked for forgiveness, and to leave the judging of their behavior to God. We were all granted free will by God after Adam and Eve together made the decision to eat of the apple or pomegranate.

Our common sense alone, if not our religion or spiritual beliefs, should tell us that after the failure of the Garden of Eden, God who is all Omnipotent as well as all Wise, recognized that He could not give mankind free will and then deny them the right to use it when it came to making the decisions in their lives for themselves. No man or woman are ever given the right to deny that which God has granted, except when it comes to failure to obey the laws of a free Democracy.

Mankind is meant to be governed both by their own conscience and then by the law of the land that governs us all and supersedes that of our own conscious or free will. It is the Supreme Court as dictated by the Constitution who has the right to tell all Americans what laws we are to live and abide by, when it comes to those who govern us all.

The bigotry in the Churches, with Churches receiving government subsidies and the Churches controlling both elections and the men who govern, certainly was never established by Christ. He would abhor it, if He would return today.

Their argument is that they can feed the poor cheaper than government, because they have a volunteer staff. The early Christians established feeding the poor long before the government did, and now it would appear that giving alms to the poor needs to be subsidized, in order for the Churches to fulfill that part of their faith.

The simple truth is religion has a right to point out sin to their people who attend their Churches and then it is up to the free will, of both men and women, to choose how they will live their lives, within the boundaries of the law of the land. As Christians and as non-Christians, we have the equal right to choose how we will vote and worship, and pursue the rights of our own conscience through the guidance of our religious or non religious beliefs, while living within the boundaries of the law of the land.

As citizens of a Free Democracy, we have a responsibility to abide by the laws of the land. When we refuse to abide by the laws of the Justice Department we will be punished by the laws of government, accordingly. When we refuse to accept the laws established by government then government has the right to tell us what behavior is acceptable or isn’t. Churches can do the same within their own Churches but cannot over reach the right of government to establish and make laws that protect both the Constitution and its citizenry.

The next time we complain about stupid laws and government interference, it would do us well to understand that stupid laws are as a result of too many conservative judges that also come with conservatives who are elected, many times if not more than or at least equivalent to, liberal judges, even though liberal judges get blamed for the majority of the stupid laws.

There is a large sector of people who will deliberately enter our properties, if we do not make them safe against intruders, and then turn around and sue us because they get injured. Others will fake falls from grapes or water, they deliberately place on the floor or spill, and then sue. Laws are made by government to protect us against thievery,horrendous crimes,excessive greed, the corrupt,mother nature,to protect us at the workplace,protect us from foreign terrorists, and to protect us against our own carelessness.

The rest of the balance of laws come from the fact that people have little to no consideration for their neighbors and as a result laws are made to protect the citizenry against the thoughtless and selfish, who do abuse. If too many people do not protect their neighbors property against damage when they trim or remove their trees, for example, the next thing we know is that no one will be allowed to trim their trees. Stupid,inconsiderate, and thoughtless people, are more times than not, responsible for way more stupid laws, than what government will ever be. Government simply protects the rest of us against them.

The same false information, can be said about Churches, who have lost total sight of where their place in Society, should remain. When we protest against the fact that they have over stepped their boundaries,we hear all kinds of names from liberal leftist, commies,Atheist,Calvinist to heathens, because they have led people to believe that they have a God-given right to advise those who govern.

When elected officials fail to govern according to the Churches views of acceptance and decency, then they find they will not be elected or the conservatives will begin committees to try to find fault in them. As is what happened to Bill Clinton and has happened to Barack OBama. No one is above their scrutiny, unless they agree fully with their views. Elected officials who put Country first, quickly find they are under attack by the conservatives. Sadly the Churches clearly bring their views of bigotry and intolerance into the fray of government.

When Churches over step their boundaries and deny civil marriages which is a State right, or they enrage people against planned Parenthood and demand that government deny birth control and abortions to the poor, they are interfering with the rights of both gay and women, and denying government the ability to govern.

In a sense they do tell gays and women that their lives do not matter and they are disposable, as it is all about their right to govern and we are sitting back and watching entire blocks of people in the right-wing or Evangelicals and Fundamentalism govern in America.

When this same view is brought into the political arena and controls the way politicians govern then religion has over-stepped their and our boundaries, as well. The fact that the Conservatives are governing according to the approval of the Tea Party fundamentalists and Evangelicals and they are an entire block of electors, is a gross over-step of power by religion. The Republicans play to that base in order to win votes and that is what needs to be stopped.

Our sensibilities as Christians, if we truly believe that “All men are created equal, under God,”are highly offended by the way that the poor,women,gays, and minorities are treated as disposable people. With the 1% having voice over those of the middle class we are now finding that the middle class are becoming every bit as disposable as the rest of the people have been for centuries.

Certainly the history of the Churches views, with the exception of the Baptist Churches of the time, held that slavery was a God-given right as the African-Americans were not capable of making decisions for themselves. If we listen to Newt Gingrich today, we realize that too many still have the same, or close to it, bigotry yet today. Women’s lives have been worth less than that of a fetus since the beginning of the Catholic Church,even when it is a child who is forcefully raped. Minorities have always been expected to remain in their place and to speak when spoken to, with the understanding they could have jobs, no one else wanted.

There is zero tolerance for the gay population amongst Christian Churches, to the point that the Republican legislators even refused to acknowledge the threats being made on the gay population,in the name of the Bible, as the hate crimes, they are, in America. The poor have never been heard and have had to starve or be made to lose all rights to their own sense of dignity to feel worthy of charity. The middle class are now the new disposable people.

What is so appalling about all of this is that we the American public have tolerated the views of the Christian Churches, to govern our Country since the beginning of American Independence although our Founding fathers gave the Churches of America no power over government what so ever. It was through amendments, years later, that religion was added to our Constitution. It was spelled out and made clear that Religion was to stay out of the business of government and in exchange for them doing so government would not begin a religion of its own.

Unfortunately, abuse of power by religion, has led the American people to believe that the Atheists of America are threatening the rights of religion to practice when it is the opposite, in that religion through the conservatives, have and are threatening the rights of the politicians to govern and in doing so “We the People” have lost the power granted us in the Constitution, with equality for all.

A Republican President in America, who does not agree to the Churches views on gay, races, and women’s rights or the lack of them,and acceptance or rejection of non-Christians, are not being supported by the Republican Party today. The abuse of power by religion, is the reason and the only reason that every President in America has been chosen either by the Protestant Churches, Catholic Church, or the Evangelicals.

Watching just how pathetic the candidates for election in the Republican Party are this year, and how they are pandering to the Evangelicals should frighten all of us who believe in diversity and therefore Democracy. Knowing that others who do not have the support of the Churches, will never have the backing they need to win, needs to be changed by “We the People”, before we find that we are all disposable and are trained to serve their needs.

It has already gotten there, in too many ways, and we need to stop it by stopping the elected officials, who govern by their Churches beliefs, instead of by what is the best for All Americans as stated in our Constitution. Those who govern need to get back to Country First, and the Churches need to go back to understanding, themselves, that both men and women and all Americans are given the inalienable right to choose the pursuit of happiness regardless of race,creed,gender or color, as long as we obey the law of government that should govern all of us.

If the Churches are doing their job, inside of the doors of their Churches, by teaching their congregations the difference between right and wrong, true love of everyone with the understanding that we are to forgive our enemies but God ,only, has the power to forgive all, acceptance of all people and the equality of everyone, in the eyes of the Lord, then Americans of all beliefs, will make choices of their free will that is either, pleasing or displeasing to God.

This is the right of every American citizen, and is both their God-given and State-given right under God and The Democracy of a Free government. We need to elect Republicans who understand that while eliminating those who pander to the Evangelicals and right-wing of conservative politics. We need politicians who understand that they are to represent the needs of the people and Country First, period.

We begin, first and foremost, by acknowledging that the interference of religion and the intolerance they bring with them, is what is leading to the deterioration of freedom and Democracy for all of us.

When WE take back our own power, given to “We the People” through the Constitution, by eliminating those who refuse to put Country first; and elect officials who are willing to work together, in both the Congress and Senate, to do the job that the majority agree,is what we elect them to do, we will return to the Democracy of the people,by the people, and for the people, regardless of religious belief, gender, race,color, or sexual orientation.

Sadly as things are in the Republican Party today, it is all about the 1%, while the middle class has become as disposable as the poor have always been, with the Republicans trying to lean so far right, they are making a Circus out of Democracy.

Re-elect Barack OBama, who has given a voice to those of us who are not being heard, and re-elect and elect the Democrats that will work with him. If we don’t replace the Republicans who refuse to work for the middle class then we send ourselves to the disposable pile.

“And Then There Was Mitt”

If you have been reading my posts on Newt, I hope you did not draw the conclusion that I had a personal grudge against him because when it comes to lies and flip-flopping Mitt Romney is not much different. I will explain later what the Mormon Religion does to make certain divorce does not happen in their Church.

Although Mitt, like Cheney, never spent a day in the military, both were unmerciful, against John Kerry when he ran for President and is an American war hero. The attack was against Kerry flip-flopping by Mitt who holds the title to being the worse flip flopper in America(vaults are filled with film footage of Mitt saying what works for the crowd he is with)

He has announced if elected he would go to War with Iran, while he is very critical against OBama for his foreign policy. At best we can only hope he is posturing because to do so would spell harm against the American and Israel people, unlike any we have seen to date. I have no doubt, history will show the accomplishments of Hiliary and Obama to be positive ones, even while the Republican Party lies about their record.

Iran has open trade with both Russia and China, as well as, are aligned with them. Talk about starting World War 111, not to mention China calling our debt due. Anyone candidate suggesting we do go to war with Iran over what OBama has done, and that is to set up an ally in Iraq, either is talking tough or just plain out of touch with reality.

The Republicans have made much about how OBama has let Israel down, to the point that the Jewish people have hired a PR firm and a spoke person to explain to the American public just how well OBama has worked for them. Do we think any Corporate or Conservative owned media will let her have air time? Anyone who does not understand that making an ally in Iraq will do far more for both the Americans as well as the Israel people, over attacking Iran, who does not have nuclear weapons then ,again, I offer to sell you the Brooklyn bridge.

For those of you who did not see the interview with Sanjay Gupta on CNN with Jonathan Gruber, you missed out on a lot of facts about Mitt Romney. Who is Jonathan Gruber you ask? He is the economist from MIT who set up the identical healthcare program in Massachusetts for Mitt Romney, with mandates that Mitt denies, that he set up with OBama. When he set it up in Massachusetts there was a conservative right-wing on the board who raved about the program until OBama adopted the same, and he has done everything to try to defeat it, since Obama adopted it.

But back to Mitt,he likes to brag about how healthcare did not cost the taxpayers anything in Massachusetts. Jonathan Gruber came right out and said that is so far from the truth along with other things that Mitt is saying. The truth is the Federal government pays for their healthcare and the American people pay for it in their tax dollars. What Jonathan Gruber explains is that they themselves do not know, nor does anyone else know for sure at this point, if the plan will work and they have pretty much thrown spaghetti against the wall to see what will stick and what won’t.

The Dr.s do support what has become known as OBama care because there is so much corruption in both the insurance Companies as well as Business laying off people, who develop illness in the family, when their healthcare goes up due to illness. For years Insurance Companies have had the luxury of covering anyone they chose and deciding what they would cover as premiums continue to climb.

What Jonathan Gruber has designed closes the loop holes that insurance companies have been able to walk through when determining who had pre-existing disease and what they could cover, as well as, prevent Corporations from laying off people who have illness or a child who will need extended care. If any of us still have any doubts why the Republican Party hates OBama care, and do not believe that they fight to protect the profits of the Insurance Companies who contribute to their campaigns, just as hard as they do the oil Companies; then along with the Brooklyn Bridge, I have some real good swamp land to sell you as well.

About the personal side of Mitt and why we do need to be concern about Mormonism. I would be the first to say under normal circumstances and other religions their religion would not matter, as hopefully, we would have a President who could set his religion aside and take an oath of office for Presidency of the United States and put Country first. In the Mormon religion their religion dictates before Country, marriage and family, it must come first. Mitt is a bishop in the Mormon religion who spent millions of dollars to defeat the Equal Right Amendment since 1920.

Women are universally second class citizens, although they will deny it. They cannot gain Heaven if they are not tied to a man. It should scare all women, even if we are not religiously orientated, to think that Mitt Romney and the Board of the Church he needs to put first, can determine who will go to Heaven over God. Defeating equal rights is not only a necessity in their faith it is a matter of their doctrine. When women or children are battered or abused, they are told by their bishops, to go back and pray and try harder and The bishops will then talk to the man. No one is removed from the homes to be protected against the abuse.

Getting help for the battered and abused is happening in almost all other Religions today.The majority of almost all other religions do recognize all abuse, although some may have come to it late,they are getting protection for the battered and abused. Unlike the Catholic Church acknowledging pedophilia in their ranks and other ministers brought forward to face charges, the Mormon Church still refuses to acknowledge pedophilia or incest exists in their Church, and because they have so much money they hold the cases up in courts for years when families do find the courage to leave the Church and find a law firm large enough to withstand the filings that they file under the Freedom of Religion Act as well as the nuisance charges they file.

The Mormon Church is not ran by a team of clerical but by laymen who are also business owners or CEO’s in most cases. In order to be a Bishop in the Church the man needs to hold wealth. It is estimated that the Mormon Church takes in between 5 to 7 billion dollars a year on tithing alone. They own billions in land as well as Corporations that also contribute to the wealth of the Church. Of course, their deliberate delays and nuisance filings along with their great wealth, will bankrupt any law firm who does not join with another and the family they represent, and then the cases get dropped. Women are not allowed to divorce without threat of losing their right to go to Heaven.

When the press talks about Mitt, being an honorable man, this may be true in the eyes of his religion, but since it is the Bishop who advises in the Church, he has skeletons of his own, that should and would worry all the rest of us, who abhor this kind of treatment. Mitt certainly is not the man to talk about giving back the soul to America, but it does not seem to stop him while campaigning. Most of the decisions he is making, as Bishop of the Mormon Church, may be upstanding in his own Religion, that he has a Constitutional right to practice, but we do need to ask,since it also comes before all else, what kind of President would he make?

He is part of the establishment and just like the Mormon Church, that bought out Coca Cola along with other undivulged Corporations,land holdings,banks etc., Mitt is wealthy. He is the only candidate who has ever ran for office, in the history of the Country, who refuses to show his tax returns. He can do that as it is not against the law but we do need to ask what it is that he is afraid for us to find out?

He has never been poor or middle class. He is worth 190 million dollars, has worked as a hatchet man who has laid off many people, and would not understand, any different from those who support the Tea Party, in my opinion, that to pay off the deficit while people are being laid off would throw our Country into a serious Depression worse than the Great Depression. First of all, we need to get the middle class back to work and grow our economy in the process, and that will lead to paying off the deficit. Mitt, In my opinion, since his flip-flopping is totally void of all sincerity, would proceed as usual, just as was started aggressively during the Bush years, and “We the People” would beg to have the Democrats back.

How Much Do We Need To Know?

I was watching a cable network show the other day, and the question asked of the viewing public was,”When will the government tell us the truth about the Iraq War?”,there were a various number of answers and of course the ever stupid one blaming OBama, but in truth just how much do we need to know?

Those of us who do not bore ourselves with research,read, or study foreign policy probably did not understand that British Petroleum owns 66% of Iraq oil rights and American Corporations owns 18% with Iraq having more oil than, any Country in the Middle East. American oil reserves were at one of the lowest if not the lowest before we went into Iraq. Since we had sanctions against Saddam Hussein he was refusing or making it difficult at least for British Petroleum and American oil companies to get their oil out to the refineries.

Cheney served on the board of Halliburton for years, before becoming Vice President and I believe history will show that he spear-headed the movement into Iraq and the war as plenty have indicated the same. Once an oil man always an oil man is fairly common as with most other occupations. Our other allies did not go to war with us because it was a commerce problem not a problem for war.The American people as well as members of the military, Congress and the Senate were incorrectly led to believe that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and when none were found just as the people on the ground, whose job it was to report back to the U.N., had told the United Nations previously before our going to war, then the people were lied to and told they had faulty information.

Since I did know this,as I regularly check out foreign policy.gov, and I believe that oil is no excuse to go to war, I was very much against the war in Iraq. I believe unless the people or our allies ask us for help, as the Libya people did, we should remain neutral other than when we are attacked on our soil or the soil of our allies or for humane reasons when we are asked to intercede.

America was very much justified to go into Afghanistan and Pakistan,once we had been attacked as we were by Osama Ben Laden. I believe we are justified, to enter any country to eliminate him. I am neither a Pacifist or a Hawk, but I do believe that America should and does have a right to eliminate injustice when asked by those who need our help, since we have the most superior of all military in the World. However after once entering and they feel confidant to continue as Iraq did, we do need to leave when they ask us to. Many times communications or sanctions can solve more than war, and we owe it to our young men and women to open up communications before going to war.

Although I would never advocate that the American voter bury their heads in the sand, or not educate themselves, before going to the polls to vote on the candidates, who do run for office, a great deal of American interests does need to remain in secret in order to better protect our own shores from terrorism,to safeguard our military personnel over-seas, and to serve Democracy. It is no different from a drug bust ever being made, a murder solved, a chop-shop broken up or any crime solved, if the press and criminals were all aware of what the authorities were doing.

The important thing is that our military, regardless of what they were told, fought with honor and after leaving Kuwait today, will all be home, with the exception of 160 troops who are still training the Iraqi troops and those who will remain to protect our Embassy, in Iraq. We need to understand that those who have and are coming home, in so many ways, their war is still going on and may continue doing so for years, while they battle against both physical and emotional wounds. Their families who are making the adjustments and who sacrificed right along with them, will learn as all war families do, that a different person from whom they knew, has returned home. We Americans must never forget their sacrifice when or if the legislatures try to dismiss the long-term care that many will need and have earned.

Our men and women fought with honor, in many cases, to save and spare their own comrades while the great majority of we Americans went on with our lives. It is now time that we rise to the occasion of meeting their needs. We all must remember that 1/3 of our homeless are military vets, when we take umbrage with the poor, and fight for them, when they can no longer fight for themselves.

Before you accuse me of seeing UFO’s and or The Loch Ness Monster, since the Day of the Trojan Horse, much of what has been told to the people, is not always as is, when it comes to matters of war. Even the Civil War began as a war over secession over high tariffs charged by the North to the South and later changed to a war over slavery.For those who think the movies resemble war-time then we all need to reassess reality. There has been much conversation, about the drone that was lost by the CIA into Iran. So much of espionage looks different to the civilian population than it does to those who do know exactly what they are doing.

Because the press sometimes keeps us too well-informed, I can simply say, if I was Iran, I would at least take the smirk off of my face if not consider destroying it, rather than risk the fact that it wasn’t a deliberate “Oops” moment. Do we even know if it is fully equipped or with what or was it set down to mislead? It would not be the first spy plane, that was set down to mislead those we were at war with. I acknowledge that it also may not be anything less than reported, but we too quickly want to believe the worse in the news about OBama or are too quick to accept the spin doctors who promote or pay for the lies that we hear, instead of realizing none of us know a damn thing, if we do not ever question what we read or hear.

A good example of what is currently being reported as fact is that the Republicans are expounding and that is that the Keystone pipeline will produce 20,000 jobs and not cause the American tax payers anything. The truth is the Company itself as well as Cornell University, who makes a point of checking the facts out, says it will produce 6500 part-time jobs and lead to 50 permanent jobs while the Republicans continue to hold up the tax break to the middle class tax payers, without the Keystone Pipeline included.

I think it does us all well to remember:”that a great deal of what we don’t know, does not hurt us,” when we are ignorant of those who do protect our best interest in the World. The inter-net along with some establishment owned networks, some cable television news,radio air ways and print owned by Murdoch and the establishment make it a habit to spin the truth to those of us who would remain better off not knowing their brand of so-called truth. Let’s face it,most of all the lies we hear, even when it is not on the inter-net,media, newsprint or from a politician, do come from an insecurity complex or a narcissist, or an ego or the establishment. As teenagers we seem to know this and sadly, as adults we resign ourselves to accepting it,or worse yet, go into denial and believe the lies.

What we all need to remember is just where our priorities should be and what we should make a point to know and that is during this Christmas, or if you prefer Holiday Season, our goals need to be “Goodwill towards our fellow-man, woman and child,who are in need and or suffering whether it be our own family or our neighbors, and especially that our thoughts and prayers go out to all of our military families.”

I will use this medium to tell all military families.”Thanks to you all” for your service and sacrifices for us, and speaking for myself,I greatly appreciate your heroism, even though I was against the reason we went to war, I am capable of admitting that I was wrong, when I hear about the dreadful treatment suffered by the people under Saddam Hussein.

I just like some of you,would have felt better about the sacrifices you were asked to make, if America had gone to war for humane reasons or if the Iraqi people had asked us to come in, and without the lie of weapons. I have lived enough years to know that even when life may look its darkest or the reasoning behind it is not always sound, more times than not, another door will open and flood brightly with light on the justice of it all. It will all make sense with time, when the press stops reporting the negatives and lies against Obama being weak, and catches on to the protection Iraq will have as an ally of America. War is hell and rare has it been when the troops left, they did not feel the quilt of leaving behind the misplaced people.

The possibility of having a new ally sitting between Israel and Iran, not to mention getting rid of a cruel dictator, is already telling us your time was worth much more than perhaps you can now appreciate, as you gave us more than any of us dared hope for more than a decade ago when Saddam Hussein turned against America, after we set him up with technology and weapons. The potential for a civil war looms great, and I ask patience of us all, while the Kurds, Sunni and Shiites fight for supremacy, as I know it will be hard on the Iraqi people and require more sacrifice on their part, as well. Once there is a victor, then we will begin to see your sacrifices recognized, right along with theirs’.

Once trade opens up between our two Countries and the American people see our economy turn around because Corporations will be forced into hiring back the workers out of need to produce, as we join with our ally in shared interest of rebuilding Iraq and bringing security back to the Iraqi people, then your efforts will become a part of the history you sacrificed for, and the naysayers will know just how much you did contribute to the American welfare, on the back of your own suffering. What the politicians could not accomplish you will accomplish and we will all be better Blessed for your sacrifices.

I am confident that we learned our lessons from what happened with Saddam Hussein and have another chance to be more firm, observant and ever watchful, thanks to your sacrifices. The Blatant Racism Of Newt

For those of us who naively think that when Newt talks about putting the Black youth to work cleaning bathrooms and toilets, he is not being encouraged to express racism, then let me sell you the Brooklyn bridge.

What makes the Tea Party and the Conservative Right so angry that they condone this kind of threat to our Democracy is their true hatred of OBama. Their own Republicans have failed them but instead they place all the anger to bear on OBama and sadly 33% of these blinded people still truly believe OBama is not a Christian or even a citizen. Hmmm, seems to be the same percentage that Newt is leading in the caucuses, coincidence do we think? Donald Trump is deliberately helping promote the idea.

Since those of us who can see through Newt’s racist remarks and attitude and understand that he is promoting the attitude that blacks do not work and are a lower class, we need to speak up and tell the truth, as well as, understand the hate that feeds the others who would refuse to accept OBama as President.

For years we have heard that all Blacks draw welfare and do not work and Newt with the Tea Party and Republican support are working overtime to promote that image. More whites have always drawn more welfare in a huge percentage over the Black population, but trying to convince a bigot is no different from trying to stop evil and I am speaking morally and figuratively about water seeking its own level when in comes to Newt, evil and his supporters.

We do know that if the Republicans simply plan to block all efforts and that Corporate refuses to hire its own workers and instead builds overseas,Americans are being hired as part-time to avoid paying benefits by Corporations,and companies are filing bankruptcy in order to not pay their people pensions, then Obama has his hands tied against the 1%, as well as, the bigotry and the “Say No” Republicans. We need to unite and not re-elect or elect more of this type of callous mentality. Republican workers and poor are hurting just as bad as we are. Who would deliberately put the middle class and poor out of work, but these Republicans who refuse to put the American workers first over their own hate and greed?

The Republicans have a deliberate attempt going on to eliminate or to limit the minority vote at the polls. No different from they did with the pongs in the election between Bush and Gore that cost us the candidate who would have kept the payments of Social Security safe and protected for the Baby boomers through 2072 if the Republicans had not used diversion tactics.

Newt has suggested that everyone take a test before they can vote which is such a travesty of justice against our own Constitution, not to mention the trust of the people by the people we elect.We simply need to understand that the ethics that were missing in Newt before are still missing today.

They have plans to have fewer people working at the polls so people who would vote for OBama get tired and leave along with 20 some other ploys they plan on using. The courts are so loaded with Federal Judges, appointed by the Republicans, who also plan on playing a role in case of disputes. Sound familiar?

Be aware, though, that in the Southern and Bordering States, as well as other areas, where there is a heavy population of Blacks,Hispanics and Students, you will need a picture ID before going to the polls to vote. In most Districts where the Republicans have already passed it, sadly, without the picture ID no one will be able to vote.

Be aware of the fact before you do go to the Motor Vehicle Department to get a driver’s license that some districts are deliberately making it difficult to get a picture ID. If you do not already have one, make sure you take your Social Security number,passports, marriage papers or divorce papers or any papers that show you are who you are, as in some districts, they are sending people back to get these papers. Do not delay in getting a picture ID so that you cannot be turned away on election day.

If these Republicans or Newt were not trying to practice racism of minority Americans and students or anyone they think will vote for OBama, the Tea Party and Conservative right would be in an out rage over the racism being spoken by Newt. Their hate against OBama is more important to them than jobs or Democracy. Sadly many of them refer to themselves as Christians. Why there isn’t more outrage going on with my fella Democrats, I do not know. I feel that the Democrats are so certain Americans will never stand for this they have remained quiet. Trust me the hate is so strong amongst these people, that they will bulldoze Newt through as the Republican choice for President.

If Newt was truly interested in helping the Black youth, he would be talking about spending more time educating them and preparing them for a College education.He would not be taking them out of classrooms to serve as subservient workers. Newt, along with the Tea Party and those who are supporting him to drop child labor laws,want to eliminate unions and prepare a staff of workers for the upper class. He is promoting the worse kind of racism since slavery with These Republican’s support thrown behind him. They may think that we, the voter, are too stupid to see through their guise to play act but let’s prove to them we will not be blindsided by their antics in 2012 as we were in 2010.

Just as Newt and all the other Tea Party candidates, who are running for Republican office, have organized to use the word, “appeasement” against OBama, which is an extremely hurtful word to the Jewish population, we have a run away train going on in the Republican party that is being fed strictly on hate for OBama. I loved that OBama reminded the hypocrites that he got Osama Bin Laden.

He should point out that the Republicans went after Halliburton oil in Iraq, at a tune of $5000.00 dollars a minute, and added trillions to the unpaid debt they incurred, instead, even though Santorum is giving the planning of Bush credit for it and people are actually buying into it. Give us a break, the man who said take him out is the man who got him. People who believe Santorum’s reasoning are like people who use the duck blind of a friend three years after it is offered and the friend says,” I think if you go to my duck blind you will get a duck” and then he takes credit when the person bags a duck. Bush didn’t have a clue where Ben laden was, because he was too busy lying about why they went to Iraq. The rational being used by the Republicans is more than disturbing it is irrational.

We should all be frightened as this is not too unlike the way Hitler got started with his hatred and propaganda against the Jews. When good people set back and do nothing we have another train wreck headed our way. We are as responsible as they are if we do nothing.If they get by with the travesty that is underway they will simply move on to all other minorities, the poor white, the ill, disabled,elderly, and anyone else they feel that is draining the rich of income. The bigots and hateful are trying to gain control of America, so that they can go back to business as usual as they did before the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and during the Dubya years in an effort to bankrupt Government, entirely, and to finish what they started.

This is real folks, and this is hateful. We all need to stop it in 2012 with our vote and to speak out against it now! Don’t simply put on your flag pins and run your flag up the flag poles, and set back and let the destruction of Democracy happen. We are all Americans and as such we need to stop this outrage against our fellow Americans.

In Response To Tony Perkins

For those of you who do not know who Tony Perkins is, he is speaking out in defense of the 1% and as an SELF-APPOINTED expert against the Occupy movement. He expounds his form of theology and the Bible and claims we are all born with equal chances and have the same chance of making wealth as everyone else and that Jesus loved the marketer and quotes from one parable of the Bible. I do not doubt and question that Christ does love everyone including the poor and the middle class as well.

Tony was on CNN this morning quoting what I feel is the problem that is endangering our economy as well as our Democracy and strikes me as a pathetic grasp to justify the greed taking place in America through the Republican Party and equally misguided, in my opinion, statements. I do not deny him his right to voice his opinion or CNN the right to air it, as after all we are still a Democracy and one of the greatest in the World.

I would like to tell Tony that everyone is not born with the same opportunities as others and that too is in the Bible. The man who is given much and buries it in the sand as versus the one given little and makes it grow is a parable that Tony has twisted to serve his own purposes.

Tell the parents of children who are born pre-mature, with cerebral palsy,serious autism, with incurable heart disease, or cancer or their brain missing, that we are all born with equal opportunity. Tell those who are not Christian in America, Tell the Black, Hispanic,Arabs,Indians, etc., people who are born Gay that they are not denied the same rights and have an equal chance as the white heterosexual Christian male in America, and try to say it with a straight face and denial of the lie. Tell those who have to combat high medical costs when they have a sick child or becomes sick themselves or injured in an accident, and lose all they gained, that we are all given the same chance and therefore Jesus loves the marketer over the person that needs to ask for help of those who have gained their wealth on the backs of the middle class and the poor. We will never agree but my experience after knowing many of these families is that the great majority of all of these people will put the marketer to shame in the eyes of Jesus.

The problem with many of the Evangelical and Fundamentalist Churches in America is they have sprung up over night, in many cases, and been ordained a Church by charismatic people who do not know Theology, nor ever will study Theology, but instead have read the Bible to justify their own stand in life. Some of their ministers received their ministry from an outfit that sales ministry degrees out of their back doors or on the internet for a fee. In too many ways we Americans have lost sense of our own ability to think for ourselves and as a result of it, we have been betrayed and taken advantage of.

Just like Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney, they can twist everything around, to justify their stand and too many of these Churches are doing this to people who attend because they are sincere and do want to know and find God and Jesus. We see it in the Baptists and other established religions as well. There are renegade ministers and priests in the established Churches,who are teaching hate and greed to their congregations. They have brought an unequal burden onto the backs of those who are not given an equal chance and instead they are using the Bible against those who Christ made clear we all have a moral obligation to help and to defend.

For those who would deny this, then I suggest while reading your Bible you remember the parable where the business men showed up to hawk their wares in the street of the parade held yearly for the poor and Christ threw them all out of the Temple because they were taking advantage of the poor. These were not all widows as Tony claims the marketers are supposed to give to. They were the poor workers and of all persuasions.

When the widow Lady gave a penny and the wealthy scoffed at her Christ scolded the crowd and pointed out she gave much more than they had,as she had far less to give. The most important parable in the Bible that gets overlooked by the greedy is the one that says,”It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to gain Heaven.”

Despite this attitude in America throughout these Churches including the Mormon Religion that teaches.” God or Christ smiles on the wealthy”, this is not close to the general consensus of what Christ taught. Christianity that is committed to the concept of Christ does teach.”That to those who have been given much, much is expected of them.” This especially includes the marketers who have gained their wealth on the backs of their workers.

To justify this by giving voice and protection to the 1% is exactly what Christ preached against. Sorry Tony, but you are only feeding your and the selfish and greedy attitudes that have arisen and entered into the Republican Party today. We the voters need to help these Republicans to see the light by laying these elected hypocrites off from their jobs in 2012.

Every economist whoever studied the economy are all in agreement that the better the poor and middle class do in an economy the better the economy and shared responsibility is for everyone, including the wealthy. When the marketer plays fair we all enjoy a healthy economy.

The more we embrace diversity the stronger is our Democracy, as well. Yes folks, I am one of those educated liberals who embraces Christianity and the beliefs of those found all over in the Blue States, even though you have been warned against us. Actually I am more of a moderate but if we are Democrat then we are all lumped together and called liberal by them. You will hear that people like myself are not Christian but instead; Socialist,Calvinist,Agnostic,Atheist,Communists and/or even obstructionists. There is no end to the labels that so-called Christians can and will apply to people like myself, because for anyone who may accept that I am indeed a Christian, then I could be a danger or taken seriously if I was ever to challenge their bigotry and/or teachings.

That Rick Perry would have you all believe that we are all Godless and trying to take Christ out of Christmas, I can only say he wasted his money on the ad in Iowa, while he spewed his own brand of bigotry and hate. A little humor aside, did you notice he had on the identical coat worn by the actor who played the gay cowboy in the movie while he disparaged gays and that the GOP are not celebrating a Christmas Party but instead a Holiday Party tonight?? I beg to differ with those who would believe that crap about educated Liberals or people who vote in the Blue States and question instead, just how many real Christians are there in the Red States?

Just as the patriotic do not have to display their patriotism by wearing a flag pin, those who live their Faith, do not need to display or advertise their Faith. If we truly believe in and live our Faith, the pleasure or displeasure, we bring to God and Jesus, should remain private with Them. Charity broadcast is not charity but ego. Why Religion And Science?

Part 5 of a Series of 5 Posts

If you have been reading my series of 5 posts to date then you know that rape,incest, and abuse have a strong basis or background in mental illness. Not all people who suffer from mental illness are criminal, nor ARE THEY RAPISTS and to suggest that they are, only continues the deplorable stigmatisms that have been ingrained into the minds of Society, when it does come to mental illness.

The main reason that Religion and Science need to work together to help solve the stigmatism of mental illness and the way Society looks at it, as I suggested in my previous post, is because currently, Religion, is still treating pedophilia,rape, and incest as sins that can be stopped by pentitence and a man’s word not to commit the sin again.Unless the various religions start reporting child abuse, as they are reguired to do by law, instead of hiring teams of 100 or more lawyers to protect the Churches against the claims of abuse that are being permeated inside their own walls, Society will always see evil and sin over treatable disease.

One of the most grievious offenders of pedophilia and incest has been the Morman Church. The Mormon Church and Boy Scouts have had a strong connection over the years, and it is important that all parents research the strength of that relationship as well as the background of both their leaders, before entrusting their children to the same. Although it took the Catholic Church entirely too long to acknowledge that pedophilia was not only going on in the Church but the Church was covering it up, the Mormon Church is yet to acknowledge the same.

Currently, unless, a larger law firm is willing to partner with a smaller or medium size law firm and or form a partnership, the Mormon Church will simply file cause after cause or declare Religious Freedom, in order to delay the case from moving forward, when a lawsuit is filed against them accusing them of knowingly protecting their leaders who are comitting pedophilia or rape but they are failing to warn the parents about it. As is the case, in most rape cases of children, even though alcohol,pornography and drugs are against their religious beliefs all are often introduced to children as young as 8 years old in the process of what they call,”grooming” prior to the rapes. In using the delaying tactics that have already failed to work in other cases, they will either wear down the opposition until they give up or it will bankrupt any firm that chooses to file against them unless they are equally backed by a greater amount of cash.

Eliminating Civil suits to no more than 250,000, which was moved on and passed during the Bush Administration and passed by the Republican majority, while getting rid of the ability to file punitive damages in many of the States, has also made filing lawsuits against Churches who protect pedophilia and rapists, financially unfeasable. Unless Religion and Science agree to work together to find help for these children by accepting that rapists, pedophiles, and other forms of criminal mental illness are what they are and never cured after they reach adulthood, then there is no hope for those who are victimized to be treated and cured while still children, when there is still hope for treatment to be effective. Certainly doing pentitence while promising never to do it again or being re-Baptised or born again, does not treat the innocent vulnerable victims of serial pedophiles or rapists, who often times grow up to repeat the same crimes. Nor does it stop the predators once they do become adults.

The Mormon Church is what is known as an entity and to indentify any one or a group of the tentacles inside the Mormon Church that make up the whole is next to impossible. Unlike other Churches who are served by the clerical the Mormon Church is served by the lay men of the Church. All men have jobs or work for or own Companies ran by them,elsewhere, outside of the Church. Although the Church is their main conviction and denotes the tithing and morality of their life, it is not ran by the clerical as we commonly refer to but by what are known as the Elders who hold titles elsewhere.

Like all the Churches the wealth of the Mormon Church is held secret and the most conservative estimates hold its values at between 25 to 30 Billion. This was the estimate taken prior to restrictions being lifted during the last decade before the recent attempts of Barack OBama and the Democrats, to replace the restrictions on Wall Street. Since so much of the work in the Mormon Church is done by volunteer their available cash, at all times, is immense. If it was not considered Religion but a private non-profit entity, it would rank amongst the top 1/3 of the Fortune 500 Companies. The Mormon Church certainly does not stand alone when it comes to accumulating a great deal of wealth on the tithing, (estimated to be 5 to 7 Billion taken in annually), of its’ members or holding multinational Corporations in: Agriculture,banking,Insurance,sales,utility,media,factories,manufacture and devolpment arms. All Religions share in this reality.

There is currently, a well researched book on the subject of protection of incest and pedophilia by the Mormon Church within it own walls, out for those who are interested in establishing these facts. It is entitled, “The Sins Of Brother Curtis” and written by Lisa Davis. Published by Scribner, a Division of Simon & Schuster, Inc.

I do warn you that if you are quick to anger or become sad over arrogance or gross injustices, make sure before picking up this book, that you yourself are capable of dealing with the facts as much of this information will lead many a caring and compassionate person to grow ill in the reading of the established facts.

A “shaker and mover,” behind the scene for years has been, Linda Walker, a researcher and Founder of Child Protection Project and I could give my readers a number of sites to visit but sadly so many web sites of people who have the courage to speak out get infiltrated by spam or viruses that I find recommending books where the research has been done far superior to finding the truth.

The Churches, themselves, need to quit blaming single moms, Hollywood, video games etc. and own up to what they themselves have promoted in both denial and protection of what they refuse to accept as mental illness but instead sin that can be eradicated in a confessional. Too many Religions are teaching that lies are acceptable as long as they fulfill the purpose of the Churches.

The act of lying, that afflicts so many, is threatening our Democracy to the point that Religion must play a role when it runs so deep and destroys the need for truth. Demanding or attacking education or liberals in an effort to cover the hypocrisy that has been displayed, when it comes to blaming liberals for intrusion on Religions’ First Admendment rights, is solving nothing and simply is not true. We as a Nation must be held responsible until we all accept the tragedy that happens when children are abused and mental illness goes ignored.
