If any of us watched and listened carefully to Rick Santorum and now Paul Ryan speak on the Campaign trails we hear them speak not of the Constitution but of the Declaration of Independence as the guideline that does not give government or the power of the People the right to govern but instead they quote God and Nature as the right that Governs us. They falsely have led and continue to lead their followers into believing that government is over-stepping its boundaries in our lives.

The Declaration of Independence was written strictly to announce American’s Freedom from England.  It granted no rights to any Americans but instead said to England that America had a right to operate free of their tariffs and constraints because labor grants  all Americans the right to the pursuit of happiness through the powers of our Creator.

The Declaration of Independence is a document that lists the grievances of the American colonies against the rule of England.  At no point does it depict any rights or the word  God or nature in its wording. The erroneous use of the Declaration of Independence as the far-right and the Tea Party basis  to eliminate government in our lives is just that.  It is erroneous and has no basis for their claim that government has no place  in the lives of the American people.

Instead the Constitution of the United States of America grants government the right to establish and govern as “We the People” see fit through our right to vote unencumbered by the people who try to deceive or from tyranny.

When our founding Fathers wrote the Constitution of the United States they arrived in America understanding and knowing that the endless wars between Protestants and Catholics in Europe had depleted government of the right to govern and they clearly did not wish that Religion be a part of our Constitution. They did not even include the word God in our Constitution.

They set up a government that gave the power to the Congress to set budgets and to pass the laws brought forward to it through States rights with the checks and balances of the Senate with the last word and power of law being granted over the States and legislature by “The United States Supreme Court.”

Because Religion had been such a hot-button issue through-out Europe and they felt it denied equality to all of the citizenry but instead aided the few, they deliberately made sure that Religion had no place in the law and in the way government was ran.   Religion was not even part of the Constitution in its establishment but instead was added as an amendment in the First amendment to the Constitution.

In Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Marlboro Baptist Church he spelled out the intention of the Founding Fathers purpose in separation of Church and State and it along with the Constitution built the wall that stood throughout history until  Judge Rehnquist determined all these years later that such a wall was not intended by our founding Fathers.  In the 1940′s separation of Church and State was again spelled out and made clear and set into law that Government would not establish a Religion of its own in exchange for religion staying out of the passage of laws that were in the best interest of all American regardless of race, creed, color, or Religious belief

Because our Constitution and the letter of Thomas Jefferson clearly spelled out that Government would not begin a religion of its own to compete against other Religions as Europe had done with the Church of England, all people have a right to worship as they see fit and that government will not establish a church of its own.

However when the practice of Religion over-steps its boundaries and through its practices denies the American citizenry their right to equality or disputes the laws of the Supreme court then Government has a right to deny them the right to deny any and all Religious practice that denies equality to all Americans

This right and Power of discretion of the government established in our Constitution, has been challenged 25 times throughout history by the Seventh Day Adventists,Jehovah Witnesses, the Mormon Church and those who try to offer human sacrifices in the name of worship such as those who claim to worship Satan. The Supreme court has ruled against their practices of Religion each time: of polygamy, with holding medical care to the sick, and human sacrifice in all cases and under each attempt. The Court ruled in each case as have they in Roe vs. Wade that the practice of Religion has over stepped its rights to practice.  The Catholic Church also was denied it’s right to deny Americans in its employ the right to use birth control in the 1960′s and were again ruled against to the point that Catholic Schools and Hospitals have been offering women birth control since the ruling, until the Catholic Bishops decided to contest it again this year.

When the Protestant and Jewish people in the 1960′s expressed their concerns if a Catholic,John F. Kennedy, would lead from his Catholic belief and grant favoritism to the Pope’s rule,John F. Kennedy spelled out clearly where government begins and religion ends.  ” He said that as a sworn President of the United States that he would uphold the law of the land and at no time would his decisions be swayed by the Catholic Church, the Pope or any Religion and in exchange he would not allow any Religion to interfere with the powers of government to govern. He specifically spelled out that the Church’s views on birth control and those in disagreement with other religions would not alter or change his ability to lead as a representative of government for the people,of the people or by the people.  If such a rare or unlikely occurrence would happen in his Presidency that it interfered with his conscience as an American to lead then he would vacate the office of Presidency.”

It is the mentality of the far-right combined with the Tea Party, today that is trying to define the right of Religion and Nature over the power of government that is helping to breed the hate that we are feeling today in America. It has led to all the lies that are being fed to those of the faithful through people like Rush Limbaugh, the NRA and Ted Nugent, The Tea Party and Conservative leaders, Christian Broadcasting Networks, and People like Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin or pretty much the entire Fox News network.

It is also being fed to a lesser degree by what Sarah Palin calls”the lame stream media”,because they are failing to point out to We the American People that the Declaration of Independence is being quoted erroneously in place of our Constitution due to the support that the Conservatives and Tea Party gives to both Corporate and Wall Street, that owns the media, and to a certain degree the Republican Party in general.

I have heard no one in the media, regardless of their leanings, point out the fact that the Evangelical movement in America boasts that it will again choose this year’s President as it did in selecting both of the Bushes for President, and that The Evangelicals well documented support for the same, conflicts with the rights of “We the People,” under Our Constitution and the law to demand that Religion remains neutral in the choice of the candidate that ”We the People”  choose under our Constitution,  without interference from Religion.

If you have any questions as to how Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney will run government if elected please read my previous post entitled, “Mitt’s Disastrous Choice.” written prior to this post. Then vote for the candidates who do not receive money from the Conservative groups and Tea Party but instead who  fight for the equality of all Americans under our Free Society of government through our Constitution, along with the working poor and middle class.  It is time that “We the People” take back our Country from the fringe elements that are rising up out of hate, lies and greed in America today. Vote in November
